This will be my first time getting a wig. I'M really excited to get this burgundy color, because I don't have to damage my dark hair. I can just get a different color and a different look without having to do anything to my actual hair and not like make that commitment. Hi. My name is Addie and I'm the owner of the frontal Queen in downtown L.A people are very surprised when they come in here, because they're not expecting to see a salon that looks like this one of my favorite features of the salon is the pole. I'M a pole dancer, so it's a no-brainer for me. It was like one of the first things that I envisioned when I was picturing. How my salon would look. I wanted to create a space that made me feel inspired happy and a space where my friends could come, hang out and get their hair done. Devin is one of my best friends. She has never gotten a wig on before, but she's also an open person and down to experiments. So I 7 and today I'm getting a custom colored burgundy wig. I usually don't do anything with my hair. I'Ve pretty much had it black, like undyed, my whole life, but I love the burgundy color because I feel like it complements my skin tone. It'S kind of like just a different step away from having just black hair. The wig is a black wig that I colored a very burgundy, slash, Auburn, slash red color. What I did was lift the color to a nice light brown, and then I went in with a semi-permanent color mixture of two shades of burgundy and one shade of red. I think I'm curious how she's gon na hide all my hair underneath because I do have like really long hair already. Okay, so I've colored your wig. It came out in that beautiful burgundy, color you're. Looking for so I'm super excited to install it on you. How do you want me to style it? Well, I really love the strands in the front kind of look um, but I'm thinking like maybe just to keep my hair out of my face. Okay, something like like a half a little half down yeah. That sounds good. Like maybe some money pieces yeah, I love that okay cool. Let'S do that. Usually I break down my clients for Wig installs, but this is Devin's first time she has long thick, beautiful hair. So what I did was decide to Slick it back. Not everyone does a breakdown, not every hair type is a braid down appropriate for I slicked her hair down. Did the ball cap method on her put a wig cap on and you spray a very strong holding spray? Let it dry and cut out the excess wig cap. It protects the person's real hair under the wig install the spray that I like to use for the ball cap method is the got to be holding spray, it's a staple in the wig Community. It really does a good job at making sure the cap is laid for the ball cap method. So after installing the ball cap method, I'm basically trying on the wig on Devin to make sure that the wig fits on both sides of her hairline. I'M going to make sure that the wig covers her sideburns. Before this process. I had already gone into the wig to pluck the hairline to replicate Devin's hairline shape on the wig. Everyone'S hairline is different. I went in with three layers of glue between each layer. It'S really important to let the glue dry, because if it doesn't dry, the install is one not gon na stick and two not gon na last after the third layer dries. I'M setting down the lace on Devin's hairline, I'm basically taking off the lace, melting band and trimming off the excess lace. So after this step is finished, I go back in with the lace melting spray and what this does is it completely melts the lace into the skin, a good one that I use is one for my brand, the frontal Queens lace, melting spray. Once this is done, I'm tying the hairline again and letting her sit under the dryer for a couple more minutes and then after she's done drying, taking her out of the dryer untying the lace, melting band and revealing the hairline foreign is done. Melting. It'S really important to secure the back of the wig, so what I'm doing is sewing down the back of the wig to the back of Devin's ponytail that I had put onto the wig cap once I've done this, I'm now styling the wig according to the style. She wanted to achieve this updo that I'm doing I'm using a lot of got to be sprayed and I'm spraying it as I go. I'M working the product into her hair in sections spraying along working from the back Gathering all the hair into a Sleek ponytail. Doing this trendy Y2K spiky style and then for the rest of the hair, I'm pressing it out to make sure it's super straight and it's important to use a flat iron spray during this process, because it really sleeks and presses out the hair making it super. Silky, and especially after color treating awake, you want to make sure that you're protecting the wig with a heat protectant spray Devin also wanted some money pieces and dramatic sideburns. The wig naturally is super long and no one's sideburns are that long. So what I did was trim them to match the money pieces sprayed a bit of holding spray to make sure that the pieces were not flimsy or blowing around and then pressed it out with a flat iron, so Sleek it out. I ended up adding a few bumps to the end of her wig. I just thought it would look cute with the overall half up half down style and it ended up working out. Alright, my love you're all done. Oh, my God. It feels totally comfortable like I honestly, would not even think that, like my actual hair is underneath This and like when I touch here, it just feels like my own head, a lace front. Wig would last you two to three years. A wig in Stall, though, would last you around two to three weeks. The maintenance process for installs is to tie down your hairline when you go to sleep when you shower. When you put on makeup - and this is so - you keep your hairline protected from oils - water, sweat dirt, I'm in love, it looks amazing, I'm a new person. Color like this is your color. Don'T go back. I feel like a video game character. I feel like a Disney princess. I didn't have plans, but now I feel like I should make sounds

Brianna Jordan: The hair colour is just Soo perfect It looks good on her too ❤️

Miila Halonen: How to wash the hair and scalp?

Susana Laita Cuartero: Shii I had planned on opening a salon this year but I invested the money in something else instead

AA: The bald cap method is so damaging

daringrose781: I am literally not an expert on hair or wigs, but I am pretty sure the client hair is not right for super gluing a wig onto her head. Also with everything that was done to style the wig she should have just gotten it dyed and cut any ways. How is any of this video supposed to be in powering for any woman?
