100 Years of Hair Accessories | Glamour

So do do do uh wow, so so so you

Samantha Barker: Is nobody gonna talk about how the 2010’s is all wrong? What about feathers in your hair or giant bows? What about hot hues is that a hair accessory?

aishah: Just because ONE person on the runway stacked barrettes doesn't make it a trend! Never seen these videos without the 2010's being all wrong

Christa Worthey: The 2010’s should have been one of the following: -big bows -cat ears -feathers -or there you wrap a bit of your hair in embroidery thread

dial Soap: The 90s hair is what we call the hair today as “aesthetic”

Samantha M: The problem with the 2010s is that they’re focusing solely on 2019... the very end of the decade. What about the trends that prevailed during the beginning and middle of the decade?

Debbie: I thought cat ears and large bows were the things that took precedence in the 2010s... I've never seen the stacking of pins like that irl

Sarahgrace Cook: Us: excited to see what the 2010s style will be Them: Stacked hair clips Us:

k tolliver: soon theres going to be a segment for the 2020's, and quite honestly, i'm scared.

r0s3 h1ps: I love how all the other decades we didn’t even live in were so much more accurate. How is the decade we’re loving in currently so much more inaccurate?

Raini2727: 1970’s also had headbands that slid onto your head or the ones that went across the forehead. 2010’s had flowers, bandanas, and right now scrunchies and giant barettes

Alicen Lynne: I don't remember anyone wearing the floating beads in the 2000's. I was thinking it would be the headbands with the bows on the side. I was expecting the banana clip or one of those cone things that you put around your ponytail for the 80's. But the scrunchy is on point, too.

Rachel Silvers: 1910’s “These accessories were often studded with semi-precious stones.” *pictured* a giant plastic bead. Also. Hats. Hats and hat pins were very much a thing.

Adeola Wilson: Would have been awesome to see the metal clips, rings and accessories used to decorate braids too. They are so beautiful

vampireluvr: I've literally never seen that 2010`s hairstyle lol today we brang back scrunchies and hair clips.

Emma L.: Love these videos, they’re always so fascinating.

alicia terisno: I really love the idea using the plus size woman in this video. Thank you Glamour!!

Ellianna Mae: I love how they include women of all shapes, sizes, and styles, because it shows how everyone is beautiful not just skinny, tall, and stereo typical

Shreeya Dahal: I love the diversity of models in this videos ❤️

Judy J: For 2010, I thought they were going to do braids intertwined with bright, neon fake hair. WTF is barrette stacking??

TheGooseGirl: The 1920s one - I screamed out loud. That is the least accurate clothing I have ever seen!

Egghead: The 1950’s outfit was so cool! I would wear that today, it looked very modern to me!

Sophia Wasylinko: I wear scrunchies all the time. I’m officially an 80s girl!

Ava Walsburg: My favorite is the 1980s one it’s super cute!!✨

jae. issa: 1910's fashion is beautiful!

I like suga in my tae when I'm watching drama: Wanna know what's worse than stepping on lego? Stepping on butterfly clips.

Friendly Ghost: I use those butterfly clips all the time they look so cute ❤️

Mary G: Do 100 years of school uniforms!

Corena :D: 2010 should be just a messy bun with a scrunchie

_Júlia_ Gabriela: Melhor canal ✨

Paige Herrmann: Omg I’m obsessed with the look of the barrette stacking IN THE BRAID. That is genius. I’m absolutely doing that.

Wendhie FloHeredia: 60's are my favorite decade i love it!! ❤

Mosese Ba: Can I just say all of them locked beautiful while styling the look

Ed86Wood: I must be living under a rock - I’ve never seen the 2010 ‘trend’ of stacking clips

Sophie's Tingles: When my mom was my age she wore scrunchies all the time, now their cool again so I wear the ones she kept lol

Sarah Garrison: Omg those curls on the 80s hairstyle were so beautiful, how did you achieve them?

Emma B: I have never seen barrette stacking in my life

Youtube Angel Ameerah: I love hair accessories that are cute but my favorite are the bows . I have my own style and I love it! Thank you so much for the video. Unicorn kisses

Hanimal 101: The scrunchies are totally coming back! I am 14 and wear then 24/7!

EastEnders 4K: I find the Scrunchie with wavy hair to be the best out of all of them, Bring that trend back

Lane Atkinson: I was born in '99 but I still had those butterfly hair clips as a kid, they were SO cute I just saw them at Target the other day, they're making a comeback!!

Kara Schoonmaker: are we not even gonna acknowledge the feather accessory phase???

Cherryl S: It's a diverse video and all of the girls are utterly beautiful, i cant stop looking at them one by one

Valeria W: Feathers? Cat ears? Flower crowns? High pony tail extensions? Big bows? Those are actual things that took over 2010s I have never seen someone wearing the barrette hair style

GottoBeauty Xoxo: Love it! The 60’s and 90’s

Moving Forward: Great video. I hadn’t heard of barrette stacking...the hats are beautiful. The butterfly clips. Are a little crazy looking.

Suzie MacDonald: 2000s and 2010s: a r e y o u s u r e a b o u t t h a t

Ma Lo: 1940 model is extremely gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Juan Daniel Gonzalz: Me encanto los bellos peinados.

Zya Zya: I have that hair pic & use it every day , got it @ Sally's : ) my fav look was the 2000's because I prefer to wear my hair down , but the 20's & 30's are real pretty & I like the 70's too boo

Eri D: Having lived as a teen in the 90's, the 90's fashion was split in two parts- 90-95, and then 95-00. 90-95 was all about the Grunge look, and if it wasn't your cup of tea, it was the preppy Clueless Cher look. By '95, Grunge had fizzled out, and 95-00 look was that colorful, fun, weird, Delia's catalog look-think Jnco jeans, butterfly hair clips, t-shirts with Chinese characters on them.

Leila Haha: Do you remember how horrible it was to stand unintentionally on one of those butterflies? I feel the pain to this day

daniela: Crystal spirals were what my mom put in my hair in preschool! The old times

DreamAisling: I've never seen either of the trends they showed for the 2000s and 2010s. In the 2000s most of my classmates were putting their hair up in ponytails it buns while also wearing a headband. As for the 2010s it's been a lot of bows, animals ears and flowered headbands.

MellyMae44: I used lots of butterfly clips in the 90s for sure! I was waiting for the banana clip for the 80s look though and was so dissapointed. Those clips were awesome!

RaeStalgia: Yes, the 80's(Late 80's,early 90's to be exact)had the scrunchies, but they also had the the ribbon barrettes, the banana clips, and the hair claws which were the inspiration for the butterfly clips in the 90's.

Em: 2019-2020 they are bringing back the scrunchies. Also I am quite confused with 2000-2010 I have never seen anyone wear those styles.

Helen Vivas: Love these videos so much !

PrettyNerd: 1930's and 1950's were the best years... classy and elegant

Addi Kay: You can’t just generalize a decade! Every year, heck, even every MONTH has its own trend! Barrette stacking isn’t popular now, let alone in the early 2010s! This also makes me question the integrity of the rest of the video

Eliza Jeckings: I don't remember wearing lots of clips in the 2010s, it was more about HUGE hot pink bows.

Lacey: Scrunchies are still popular today which is awesome because I love them. And I love that they were names after the lady's dog

T-Zay: My go-to style in the 90s was simply a braid with a bubble clip.

Gummy Grace: For some reason I wanna wear what they wore in the 1930s, 1950, 1960, 1980, I feel like those would be something I would wear

palacinkasmarmeladou: I'm 90ies kid and I wear those zillion clips till now (although I take the more subtle approach with not so colorful once ) and I still clip them to my shirt. Haha. And also wear shirts in layers

Ahlam: And soon you’ll be able to add 2020 to ur vids

Jujubee: Y’all could have did flower crowns, feathers, cat ears, or jewel headbands for 2010!

Syd Taculog: I remember the butterfly clips! It's so nice actually ❤️

Sumina Rai: How I would love to be one of these models!

Kate M: Thanks for the diversity in this 100 years video!

1920's Flapper Girl: I can't believe that bobby pins were invented in the 1920's women could sure use them in the 1910's

Genevieve Hoskins: I remember trying to wear those butterfly clips as a little girl. They were PAINFUL to put in and remove XD

Lucy: Wow! The first model is absolutely stunning!

Nidhi Thakur's Vlog: Wow!! All of them are wonderful!!

Miranda Milner: Best 1910's hair I've seen so far in this series.

Tamara Kiseleva: I like that models, they’re so relaxed while demonstration and just pretty

jess: Where I live, wearing small clips with different collars right above your forehead is a trend. Also scrunchies are still a thing.

emma grace: on a real note, the 60’s was onto something... can we bring that fashion trend back?

Enderson Suarez: I have just in front of me a photo of my mom with the look of the 80,s, hahahaha is so iconic

Francesca Alba: I thought the 2000s would have the striped hair extensions but oh well Edit: why is this blowing up it was a stupid comment

Ashley Ihde: I'm a millenial and grew up in the 90s. I'd love to see butterfly clips come back

Ishaa: The butterfly clips are so cute! I even wear it now!

Karen: I wear my hair half up half down like they did in the 80s the only reason I wear scrunchies is because normal elastic bands break hair, but scrunchie r so comfortable

Whitteroo: I still have my butterfly clips and scrunchies! I remember the fascinator trend too....

It be like that sumtimes: Can you do 100 years of plus size fashion? Its something i dont know much about but would love to learn about

Waffle are AWSOME UwU: I have so many onpf those butterfly clips! My Mom gave them to me when in was really little :)

adriana vdl: And now its hightopped curly buns with gel done babyhairs

The Do It Yourselfer: For the 2010s y’all could have mentioned wire, beads and shells for braids and locs. That’s really popular right now.

inaara ali: 2000s was definitely still butterfly and the colorful hair barrettes and 2010 to present is like feathers and hair scarves (at least to me)

Park Chaeyoung: Should be renamed as 100 of American hair accessories

Nancy Arrigo: I personally like the 1990’s part with the butterfly clips in the one woman’s hair but along with the hair jewels they also a go to accessory of the 2000’s alla Hilary Duff as Lizzie McGuire

Rebeca lopez: The hairband is one of my favorites accesories

Winter Raven: That blonde model is absolutely stunning

Iveta Welborn: I def had the butterfly clips, but I never wore them like that. I had one, maybe two in my hair at a time. The 2000’s should be those feather clips, those bandanna things, and clip in hair color extensions. 2010’s were maybe flower crowns, giant bows, scrunches (2019), and maybe beanies.

Gabriel Gonzalez Godoy: My favorites are 20s 40s 60s well. 10s too. It was incredible.

Zahra Vanderhorst: Please do 100 years of Children's Fashion!!

Jennifer Aguirre: I never seen anyone anyone wear multiple Barrett’s like that

chongyunbabygirl: The lady for the 2010s era IS a queen!

kevina warner: I love the 90s hair accessories

Simone Soberanes: They all are so beautiful

Izzie: In all of these videos 50s are bomb and I want to go back for a day
