What is up everyone? It is Ryan Timothy, and I am back with another Hair video first, I want to thank you guys for showing lots of love and support on my last couple of videos. I took a little break in February, but this month I'd like to be more intentional and just putting out some more content um for you guys, I'm so happy that you guys are enjoying it um in today's video. I am actually doing a relaxer retouch, so um yeah, I do do relax here. I'M not only a natural hair, stylist um. I do relaxers um for those who have relaxers um. I always encourage my clients to get whatever type of styles or chemicals that are convenient for them. Of course, everyone can't do hair. Everyone doesn't have the same lifestyle. We all have busy or slow lifestyle. So I encourage a healthy hair journey and, yes, you can have long healthy, relaxed hair. As you can see so I'm getting into the video, I actually lost the footage of the actual relaxer application. So I do apologize about that, but I still wanted to insert these parts of the video that are still super duper important. As you can see in the first part of the video, I was kind of just section off her hair and detangling, which is super duper important before applying the relaxer and now I'm just going in with some base and just bases her her scalp in case she's. From scratching, where she's like super sensitive to the relaxer, so as you can see, my client has really long hair. She has been relaxed for a very very long time and it's usually wears braids or protective styles. She'S been in braids a lot lately so she's coming in for her regular maintenance to get her relax and retouch. She can wear her hair out for a couple days and then she's, probably gon na go back into a low manipulation, style um. So yeah I'm just going to relax her hair trim treat it. You know the whole night and again I do apologize for losing the footage of the actual relaxer application, I'm so so sorry, but here I just kind of wanted to go in and show you guys how I shampoo um or how I stick with the relaxer out. This is very, very, very important um. I typically go in with a neutralizing shampoo and I neutralize the hair for about um, three or four shampoos. Until you know all the relaxers out, and you can pretty much feel when all the relaxer is out. So I do that and then, after that, I kind of you know, give them a nice scratch a good scrub, a good massage. I put this theme steamer on um. What the steamer does is kill bacteria in the scalp, as well as allow the moisture from the products to penetrate the cuticle of the hair um, but it also, you know, promotes better hair growth. It circulates the blood flow in the scalp. Again, I am a life of cosmetologist, I am not a kitchen stylist or um. I have a license, so I am very intentional about what I do to my clients, hair as well as I educate them and make sure they have the tools that they need to be successful, as well as they're coming in to get their dreams and treatments and Whatnot, so I'm going in with another shampoo um: this is the moisturizing and the post Kim infuser, where I typically shampoo with that about two or three more times so during my relaxer applications, I typically do about five to six shampoos, depending on how dirty the scalp Is um and how much relaxer is in the hair, but I never think that you cannot shampoo enough. You know people now are not shampooing anymore, which is a red flag. If you ever go to anyone and they don't shampoo that fake red flag, it's the most important part of the service, that's the leaf that your stylist could offer you. So, as y'all can see, my client is all washed and all treated. She had a treatment under the dryer for about 20 minutes, just a deep conditioning treatment, and now I'm going in with some olaplex number six, which is the bond smoother and just putting that over her hair. I also mix all the Plex in my relaxer um just to protect the hair, as well as an extra um protection. As you know, relaxer breaks down the bonds in the hair and olaplex is made to rebuild the boss in here. So definitely not trying to manipulate her hair too much reluctant or not made to straighten the hair they are made to chemically alter the hair and the texture if you're a relaxer, it's a bone straight. That means that it is over processed. Your hair should still have texture in it after you relax the hair. That is super duper important. I hate seeing people that have bone straight relaxers because that's just not healthy um. You cannot retain lymph if your relaxers bone straight uh, you are more prone to breakage, um and so on and so forth, but I'm going in now with my from paddle brush. So this is my favorite palette brush and I'm just blow drying her hair. As you can see, nothing crazy, nothing, fancy um, I'm not using any specific methods, as y'all know, I typically just section the hair off how it works for me and um. This is how I blow dry. It didn't work for everyone. Everyone has their own way of doing things, but this is how I like to blow dry my relaxed clients. You can sex Your Love. Sometimes I do section off depending on how much hair they have. If it didn't sleep but um, I don't always have to section off, as you can see, I'm kind of making subsections and sectioning parts of the sections of the hair off, as I am blow drying - and this is just a method that I have produced over the Years of me doing here so yeah, I'm just blow drying that in her hair and then after that, I am going to trim her, which I didn't record for you guys, because she really didn't need too much trimmed off. I think we trimmed about an inch of her hair wasn't and too bad of shape. Her last relaxer was probably about three to four months ago. I do recommend relaxing every 8 to 12 weeks, so she's pretty on time for coming in to get her relaxer for her again. Everyone is different and you have to do what is convenient for your hair. So if you don't get relaxed every 12 weeks - and sometimes you know - that's just your preference, if you get relaxed every eight weeks, that's your preference! If you want to get relaxed every four weeks, that's your preference! I don't recommend that um, but yeah. Everyone is different. You have to do what it's best for that particular person's hair. Every Everything doesn't work on everybody. Thank you. I love my mountains, foreign foreign. She doesn't really like her hair like curled or super tight. She likes to wear it straight, so I'll just go in there and add like some just a little bit of body a little bit of Feathering some parts. I feather a little bit more some parts I had bump it a little less, so it just depends on what look that my client is going for at that, given time um, she is trying in middle part. Today, my ride is not usually in the middle part as soon as you can say, side part so she's outside of her comfort zone, but yeah, I'm just pretty much doing my basic styling um. If you want to book this service with me, you can go on my website at www.thereensemodyssalon.com. I am located in Summerville South Carolina and you can book a relaxer or a shampoo service um. If that's, if you're a return client, if you're a new client, then you have to book a new client bundle um and vice versa. So yeah right here, it's super easy to manage super easy to style. I'M gon na finish her off with a nice wrap and then that is going to be all she wrote, so I'm gon na, let you guys enjoy the rest of the video. I hope you really enjoyed it and I hope it was helpful to you if you want more content like this. T K: Great video!!!! I was thinking... if you get tired of doing your voice overs, but are coo with just setting up your camera to record as you work, just do the "Hey guys welcome or welcome back to my channel" intro and then continue it on by saying, " Today my client is here for x (ex-a silk press), so, I'm going to just let you guys watch me work" and then from there, you don't have to say anything else. Fill the air time with music and no voice over, then at the end of the video come back in with a "Thanks for watching! See you in the next one". And then you won't have to do nothing but you, which is the hair work. (Beautiful btw) You can even pre record the intros and outros and just put it all together in editing. Also are you using your keywords in your description? (IF you want sir, just copy and paste this list I'm giving you into the description of your videos and into your tags, you can use the same ones for every video) Summerville South Carolina, Summerville South Carolina hair salon, Summerville South Carolina Natural hair stylist, Summerville South Carolina Black Hairstylist, South Carolina hair stylist, Southern US Natural Hair Stylist, South eastern natural hair stylist, Charleston natural hair stylist, Olaplex, Natural hair stylist in South Carolina, Natural Hair Stylist in Summerville South Carolina, Professional Hair stylist Summerville South Carolina, Silk Press, Silk Press on relaxed hair, Silk Press on Natural Hair, Steam Treatment, Relaxed Hair, Relaxers, flat ironing natural hair, flat ironing relaxed hair, flat ironing afro textured hair, silk press and trim, Natural Hair, Black man natural hair stylist, Black man relaxed hair stylist, Afro hair stylist in Summerville South Carolina, Afro textured hair stylist , Watch me work hairstylist videos, Professional hair stylist watch me work videos, Natural hair stylist watch me work videos, Black hair stylist watch me work videos, The Ryan Timothy, Ryan Timothy Best wishes!!!
