Hair Hacks - For Diy Clip-In Hair Extensions

Step 1: This may sound simple but trust us, it’s important! When applying clip-in hair extensions, always start by brushing your hair and your hair extensions. This makes sure all of your hair is completely detangled before application. We recommend using the Beauty Works White Vegan Bristle Brush, this has been specially made with soft bristles, that glide effortlessly through hair to gently remove knots and detangle.

Step 2: Next you’ll need to section your hair at the nape of your neck, ready to clip-in your extensions. You can use a pin tail comb or even your finger to create a straight, thin section of hair and then clip the rest of your hair up with a Sectioning Clip so it’s out of the way.

Step 3: Now your hair is neatly sectioned, we can get into the application. PRO TIP: To ensure your extensions don’t slip throughout the day, back comb each section at the root and spray with Beauty Works Super Hold Hair Spray before clipping your extensions into place. This will give your hair some extra texture for the clips to grab onto, making sure they won’t move around all day.

Step 4: You can now repeat step 3 with the rest of your clip-in hair extension set. A top tip for a seamless blend, is to angle your extensions diagonally slightly around your face, with the extensions angled upwards towards your forehead.

Step 5: Now that all of your clip-in hair extensions have been applied, you can now style your hair. Always make sure to use a heat protectant first to prevent any damage to both your hair and your extensions before styling.
