Curly Clip Ins On Type 4 Natural Hair! | + Versatile Styling Options | Ft. Curlsqueen

Hey guys welcome or welcome back to my channel. It is Brittany, so in today's video I'm going to be trying curly clippings for the first time clip-ins in general for the first time. So, if you're interested in seeing how I got this look, then just keep on watching all right. My hair texture is like 4b4c, but we're still going to make it blend and work. So this is a 10 piece set of clip-ins um. It'S enough to cover the whole head plenty of hair for you, so these clip-ins are 18 inches. They are very thick and full from the top to the end, and these are double wefted as well. As I said, this is the first time I'm actually installing clip-ins. I got clip-ins like years ago, but I just turned it into a wig, but with these clip-ins I learned a lot over the last like two days, so definitely wash your hair, shampoo and conditioning your hair get all the product out before you um install your clip In start off with fresh hair, as you can see, this is my natural hair here for b4c. So I took this leave-in conditioner here and went ahead and sprayed my hair down before I twisted out any leave out and I detangled my hair as well. So I went ahead and started to create my side. Part, I've used my duckbill Clips to kind of get the hair out of the way and I'm using this wet line, extreme gel to mold my parting space, I'm going to be using a lot of product on my hair. This is why I say definitely start off with freshly washed hair and I'm kind of creating like a u-part situation with my leave out. So I'm just going probably like an inch behind that part in space, so I can twist it down. So I use my water and then the gel and my Felicia Leatherwood brush and you could do like a um. You know like a wash and go kind of thing, but was my hair type? It doesn't really do it like that. So flat twists were the best option for me, so I twisted that down in The Parting space Around The Parting space and then around the perimeter of my hairline Bob. So I finished twisting down my hair in the front and then I braided my hair in the back. This is a 360, so you guys can see, and I have like the ends of my hair kind of pinned up with a bobby pin. Now I've watched several people's videos on how they install their clip-ins, and I have seen people do a wig cap over there leave out and then twisting a wrap over their heads, so their hair dries faster. So I only kept mine on for maybe a few hours, but I highly recommend you let your twist or your leave out, set overnight if possible, because even though it looks like it's dry, it was not 100 dry um, but we're still going to make it work. So my natural hair is like a color number. Two. These clip-ins are darker than my hair, so you guys will see like a difference between my hair and the clip-ins, but that's okay, so I started off at the top of my hair. Instead of the back I've seen people do it different ways, but this is to ensure that you actually have enough. You know clip-ins covering your head, it's going to cover your whole head, but I would recommend starting at the top, so I started with the longest Clips. The five clip clip-ins um and then um, I went I kind of spaced it out, like probably like half an inch to an inch um between each of the clip-ins. I started with the five clips and then the four Clips then the three and then the two in the back, and you also don't have to do braids back there. You can actually do a low ponytail. If you don't want to braid your hair day one. It was a little bit difficult for me to figure it out, but eventually it's not that bad like I thought it was going to be so I kind of clipped my hair out of the way you know as I installed them, and I finally got them all Installed so I'm taking my duckbill Clips out and kind of shaking the hair out the way. So I did attempt to dry my hair with this little blow dryer here, because I knew it was not dry yet so again make sure your hair is completely dry because it's going to prevent your hair from like freezing out - and you know it's going to make Your hair blend a lot more with these curly clip-ins um. Also, I did not wash these before. I installed them because the curl pattern was beautiful and like perfect right out the gate, but definitely if you prefer to wash yours definitely shampoo and condition them before you install them. Let them dry overnight, and now I'm just unraveling my natural hair. I used some anti-frizz serum on the tips of my fingers. Just so my hair wouldn't frizz out it's still. It'S still going to frizz out a little bit because it wasn't completely dry um and I did spray some of the simply styling silicone spray. On my leave out just so, it would have as much shine as the clip-ins do and I just continued to unravel my hair. My hair in the front is definitely, it definitely has some heat damage, so my curls are definitely more loose than the rest of my head, but we're still gon na make it work. So now I have my hair unraveled and you can see the difference between my hair and the clip-ins, but it's still very pretty to me and I think it matches pretty well because I feel, like a lot of people, have multiple Textures in their head. So this still makes sense. It'S just you know if you have like a color number, two kind of hair color and you go for this you're going to have to blend a little bit more, so it makes sense. So I would recommend taking your leave out and twisting it within the curls and it'll blend a lot better, but this is what it looks like on the first day. I think it looks really pretty yeah, especially for my first time. I think this looks good it. So now we're going to get into some other styling options for you guys. So with these clip-ins, it's very versatile. You can do so many different styles um. I was only going to do three, but I just kept going today on this day here that you see and then I'll show you guys day, two as well so hope you guys enjoyed this portion of the video baby. Won'T you swing my way now we've grown up yeah tell me you have to be ashamed. The way it was now I'm paid by the sentence, rib cage. I hate the fact that we lost dude speak speak. So this is day two. I just wanted to try again and see how comfortable I was with the process. So the night before I twisted my hair down with more product um and it wasn't freshly washed. So I do have product build up on my hair and it's not going to be as seamless as day one, but it's still going to look good. So this is, you know the next day here and I'm more comfortable with installing the clip-ins looks very pretty um and my hair was completely dry this day, so that was the plus and I just felt more comfortable overall with styling. I love these clip-ins like I am a huge fan of them, no issues. I had some you know shedding during the process of like clumping the curls, the second time but um. It wasn't like excessive shedding. I will definitely be trying these again and I love the Styles I created on both days, but definitely on day two. So I had a little bit of leave out in the back, so I could do do a high ponytail. So I untwisted my hair in the back and it was kind of hard to see when you're doing a high ponytail with the clip-ins definitely make sure you have like the wefts and the clip-ins covered. So that's why you probably need to take out a few um. Like a row in the back of your hair, if you want to wear it all the way up, I think I did a great job. I think this looks so good, even with it not being my exact texture and the exact color of my hair. I still think this turned out beautiful, so beautiful uh this this high ponytail with a bang, is so classy. So I did that style and then I went ahead and took my bobby pin and I pinned the bang to the back and did another. You know simple. Updo style - and it's just so beautiful, I'm very impressed with these curly clip-ins or clip-ins in general, like I've been like avoiding them for years, because I just didn't think my hair would blend at all. But I'm surprised at what my hair can do. Um was product and everything so very impressed with these clip-ins shout out to curls Queen for sponsoring today's video.
