Foreign, hey guys, welcome back today's video. I am going to show you how I dyed my hair extensions, and I am going to put them in today. Do not do this if you love your hair extensions, I am not trained. I'M just doing this because my hair extensions are blonde and I'm no longer blonde and instead of buying new ones, I figured why not try dying them myself and if it goes wrong, I'll just buy a new pair, and I don't honestly don't wear them as much. So I'm not too worried. I honestly don't wear them at all anymore, but I figured maybe if I die him to like match my hair, maybe I'll feel more. Maybe I'll wear them more. So I wear the foxy locks, hair extensions. I have the sun kiss highlight wands, and then I had an ombre pair ombre pair is what I'm probably going to use, because the root in the band of that hair extension is dark compared to the highlighted Sunkist highlight ones which has more blonde in it. So it might stick out. I dyed both so I'll show you both this is so ratchet, I'm so sorry. So these are the sun. Kissed highlights one. So you can see the band is a lot lighter and it's probably going to show these are really pretty. If you have like in between blonde and brown hair and these work kind of for both, but I have no more blonde, not a single piece of blonde in my hair anymore, these are Sunkist highlight, and then this is what they turned out to be after. I dye them so you can see. The band is still has some blonde in it. So that's what I was like well, that's still gon na show, but here's a comparison of the colors. These still look pretty shiny, still pretty healthy. After dyeing them, they don't feel dried out. So that's pretty good. All the all my hair extensions are cut. I did cut them, try to trim them thin them out. I have no training in it. I kind of just winged it, so it might not be perfect. All right, so those are the sun kiss highlight ones, and then these are the Ombre ones that I really loved when my hair was ombre, so it has like the Dark Root and then it has the really light ends. I think this piece of town that used to be a lot like lighter, but I toned it down a bit really pretty. I love these. These aren't as trimmed as the other ones. This is them dyed right, oops, so you can see the band is dark. So that's why I'm going to use mainly these. I did try to trim them and thin them out, because my hair is not that long. So it's still shiny, oh the comparison, so you can see um. So I'm gon na put the clip in of me actually dyeing them. I show you the box. I use I kind of just found a cheap box dye and neutral medium brown. I think it was, and I show you how I did that and then I let them air dry and then I ended up blow drying them, which I don't think I finished it was like a such a long process. I don't think I finished the clip of me blow drying them, but I will put that in here and you can watch and then after that I will show you me putting these in today, all right guys. So I just used this Clairol Nice and easy hair dye from CVS. This is in the number five medium brown. I basically just follow the instructions and make sure I saturate all the pieces of the hair extensions from top to bottom foreign foreign. All the pieces. I set the timer for the amount of time they set. Then I just rinse them with warm water getting on the dye out until the water runs clear, and then I just shampoo them with my shampoo, I use for my actual hair and then I rinse and then I go back in and condition all the pieces with The conditioner that came in the box of hair dye, then here I'm just gently brushing through the hair extensions with a wet brush. Then I'm laying them on a towel to let air dry. I eventually went back in and blew dry them dry. Okay. So I am not going to use all the pieces basically put my hair down. This is not clean hair. This is like a few days dirty with some dry. Shampoo still has some of my curl and wave in it. So hopefully I don't have to like touch up my hair. I can just put these in and add a few curls. Maybe let's see I have a four Clipper which I'm gon na use a three Clipper and then just for the sides, a two Clipper on each side. So basically, it's just for more volume and a little extra length, but nothing too long that this is still going to blend in. Although my hair is due for a touch up because you can see a lot of my old blonde peeking through, but whatever hopefully I'll be able to blend it just to section my hair off for the three piece, all right, not bad, all right now, I'm taking The four piece four clips so four Clips up here and then I'm just gon na plop it up: oh gosh, oh gosh, whoa, baby and also I'm not very good at thinning out hair extensions. If you aren't either, I think you can always take them to your hair stylist, and I think they can do them for you in really recommend doing that unless you are good at cutting hair go for it. Actually that looks pretty dang good. I just need the side pieces, but dang. I didn't do too bad all right side. Piece sides are really hard for me because I feel like I never angle them the right way, all right. So I have my sides and if you see let me try to show my sides, I tried to angle them see how it's like angled like this, so it kind of gives a layered effect. I tried so I'm gon na put these in. I have to move these. I have a small hat, so I feel like like not a small face but, like my actual brain part, is small. So, like headbands never stayed on me and then like these clips, sometimes will show like right here in the back and I also have pretty thin hair. So I really need to thin those out, but I just don't know how all right, so I'm gon na put the next side in okay. This is a lot of hair and I didn't even put that many pieces in okay. So stand up. That'S how long I trim them. What do we think? I think it's just way too much hair, but the color, I think, is good, so much hair. If I want to learn, if I knew how to thin out my ends, a little better it'd probably be a lot more natural, but I'm just gon na throw some curls in the bottom and see what happens. Trying not to do my own hair we'll go from there, so I'm going to zoom this part and then we'll be right back foreign foreign whoa, all right! That was a process again, I'm just doing this for shits and giggles, so the girl to be perfect brush through what more like waves. That'S what I like it's waves! Okay, so that's all them in dyed! I mean not too shabby. Let me show you the back. Hopefully it doesn't look ratchet foreign, a little more precise if I was actually wearing them. I definitely need more hair out. So let's see what we do, I wonder if I take the side piece out, my hair actually did get kind of long. So let's try it. Maybe I'll find out some really. I just need it for length and it's a little bit of volume, all right, not bad, I feel like so I took those side piece out. You really can't see my underneath piece, which is really awesome. Okay, so it actually doesn't look that bad with the side pieces out. Also, let's see how they held up a curl. I feel like foxylox holds curls so well like this will hold for days. So we took that side out, not all right, so that definitely thinned it out a little which I like because, like my hair is already thin, so I don't want like all these thick hair because hey it's uncomfortable and B, I just don't think it looks as Natural, so this is just with the two pieces in like I'm, I'm Blown Away by that. So that's not bad. Let'S show you what the back looks like without those side pieces and that way when I edit this, if it looks bad, then we know we need the side pieces here. It is about the side pieces. So I'm nothing like sticking here, which is nice, but it's like make sure it all blends. I might have to try a thin little again. My problem is, I don't want to thin them when they're in my head, because I do not want to cut my own hair and then, let's just see what a four piece looks like in, because one time when my hair was like long - and I put just Like a four piece in that was similar length to my actual hair, just added volume, and it was actually really awesome. So that's another good reason for extensions. If you just want volume, even just to your ends or somewhere just add, like one piece trim it to what you need to match your hair and just add it, so that's just the four clip in okay. Let me show you the back. I just looked at in the mirror, having just the one piece in and there's definitely a difference between when it's all to the back. You can definitely see kind of a gap between the hair extension and my real hair, so either going to move it up or just trim it more. If I just wanted to wear one piece because really just gives me some volume, but I think the best was with just the two pieces in the three clip and the four clip and if I just move them up a little higher, I think it would be Good the sides, if I really want to be glamorous, put the two sides in boom. So again I used one box of dye for both these sets. But again I didn't dye all the pieces in each set. I would say it had four to five pieces of each set that I dyed and some of them were trimmed. So if you're dyeing one set of hair extensions, I would think one box would be fine um. If they're super long thick, you might have to get two boxes still feel like the Integrity of the hair is going strong with these. I'Ve had these for a very long time and they seem really silky soft still that's about it. I think I did a good job with picking the color, and this was like a fun little video. I just wanted to do it for shits and giggles and if you ever thought about dyeing your hair extensions here, you go, I did it for you. I was a guinea pig so guys thanks for sticking around for this video. I hope you liked it. I hope you got something out of it. Maybe you were just entertained.
