Hi guys welcome welcome back again to my channel if this is the first time i am alice and you're welcome, hi welcome to my channel and to my returning subscribers. You guys are the best so guys in this video i'm going to be talking about protective style. What are the worst protective style you can do to your hair? What is protective style, i mean, how does it make our hair to grow? Does it really make our hair to grow? We'Re going to mention all this we're going to talk about all this in this video, so stay tuned and don't go anywhere. So so, yes, protective style. What a protective style! What is this protective style that we're talking about? It is actually well like from the name alone. You already know what it means protective style. What does it do to our hair? It is actually the hairstyles that we do that keeps our hair away from daily manipulation and also protects our hair from damages due to daily manipulation. Environmental damage damages as well, so it helps our hair. It allows our it gives our hair. That rests like for a certain for the period of time. There are going to be currently protective style. It keeps the strands locked in whatever protective style you make be it um. We have box braid mini braids twist crotchets name them, so those protective styles keeps our hair strands away from damages, and then you might be wondering, does protective style grow our hair? Well? Well? Well, well i mean without doing protective style, it doesn't mean that your hair will not grow if you don't put it in a protective style and then doing potato style doesn't even mean means that your hair will magically start growing faster than normal. No, no! No! No! No there's actually a secret to that. There'S, actually a secret to hair growth that secret that secrets i'm going to share that secret in the end of this video i'll share the secret, so don't go anywhere so um. Yes, there are some certain protective style that actually are prone to cause damage to our hair. Yes, they are protesting style that can actually cause damages to our hair and the first one i'm going to talk about is um hairstyles. That will make use of rubber bands, and i am a witness to that. I'Ve actually had damage due to using rubber bands. Before on my hair and um, i won't necessarily say that you should stop using it or you should stop doing those particular hairstyle, but i'll just say that you can actually minimize the way you use it and then, if you are going to keep on doing it, You should um. If you are using the rubber band, you can actually make use of your oil or any greasy product you use to make the protective style you can put that rubber band in the oil. You know just apply to it and then, when you're going to install the style, you want to do you use the oily rubber band and if you are going to take it out as well, apply the oil on the rubber band before you pull it out. So that i mean, even if it's not going to even if it's going to pull out your hair, it won't be as much as when the rubber is dry like totally dry and then to just drag and pull your hair strand, which will actually cause breakage to Your hair, so another hairstyle that i think is also prone to cause dummy to the hair, is um this micro hairstyles or this um one million braid. I think they call it. We call it one million braid this micro twist, that they do it's it's it's prone to causing damage to the hair and that's because people, whenever people do it, that kind of extra you know, since it's micro like it's very they do it's very, very small. They pick it very small, it's something that people do it, because they want to carry it for a longer period of time and leaving such hairstyle for a longer period of time can actually cause damage to the hair and then those type of hairstyle. Let me just tell you: i think we even need to talk about this nigerian hairstylist, because they do too much. I don't like those people if they don't do those hairstyles very tight, it's as if the hair won't come out nice or like. Is that like, whenever you go to the salon, they always pick your hair so tight as though you are fighting them as if they are fighting with the hair? And i don't know why so um those hairstyles. They pick it very tight. They install it very tight, which is actually very bad for the hair, so you might want to avoid that kind of a style you might want to avoid that kind of vest, and if you don't want to i mean you should space the i mean: don't do It too often, if you don't, want to stop it, don't do it too often, and then, if you are also going to do it, um don't leave it on for too long. Okay, because we are different, you know how you are able to maintain your hair, that it will cause damage to your hair. So i can't tell you to stop doing it, but i can just say: all i can say is just avoid it or reduce the amount of time you do it so another one is um, leave out those hairstyles that we leave out our hair and then you Know flat iron it to blend with the weaving we fix. Those ester also cause damage to the hair, because that particular hair that you're leaving out i mean you want to constantly make sure that your hair is looking good. I mean you, don't want it to look different from the weave on so you're always you know flat ironing it and you know heat damage, it will lead to heat damage and that is you are calling for breakage, so it causes hair breakage. So those hairstyles - i wouldn't, i would say you should reduce - i mean if i all the ester that are prone to damaging the hair. All that just says reduce how you do them. I mean spaces, i mean you understand what i'm trying to say. I'M saying don't: do it too often, so that you don't get breaking if possible? If you can avoid it then avoid it like don't do it at all, don't do it at all. Let'S talk about ghana, weaving ghana, weaving has anybody i mean. I don't understand like this hey. It should not be that um putting so much top on this. Our nigerian hairstylist trust me. There are so many so many talented nigerian hairstylists and honestly, there are so many talented nigerian hairstylists that are that actually do their work well, but the ones i've visited. Let me not say anything, but then those people whenever they are doing ghana. Even for you, i don't know why they always start the front like the edges. They they they um, instead of them to you, know, weave your hair first before adding the extension, they use the extension to start the weaving. Why why that impulse the hair, especially the edges, and it will cause so much damage to your edges? That'S when you start seeing that you're having thin edges and your hair is breaking please let somebody tell these people not to be doing that again, because that's why? For years now, i've not done garner weaving because all the salon i go today basically starts using the extension to make ghana weaving. So i avoid that, i i don't do that again. I don't do ghana with a game, because i don't trust the asylum for this. Nigeria so pending, when i'll trust or i'll see a trustworthy hair stylist until then, for now, i'm not in kanawha, even just a summary of all the hair style that i mentioned, that can actually damage the hair, um rubber band hairstyles. And yes, we know that those esters - they can be very, very fine whenever you make them, but it's negative side. You should also consider it negative side before making it and also um the micro braids and then the leave out, and then ghana reveal so yes, and also by now i mean, if you watched this part of the video by now, you should be able to tell If protective style is good or bad for you, i mean because i don't i don't want to say, is it good or bad? You are the only one that can answer that question yourself. Is it good or bad? You are the only one that can actually answer that question yourself. Do you want to know my answer? It is good, it's not bad! It'S good, it's not bad! So, yes, yeah um, it's good! It'S not bad, and this is this is where i'm actually going to talk about the secret to hair growth. Yes, finally, i'm going to tell you the secret to hair growth, so making protective styles without doing the secrets. I don't know, i don't know how it's going to be. I really do not know so. The number one secret to hair growth is is, is yes i mean. How can you do your protective style? Are you just about doing it? You'Re not doing anything you're, not protecting it, you're, not caring for it. You hear me, i don't want to talk too much so number one is proper care photo hair, so make sure you are able to care for it and number two number two number two is consistency: hey is it about consistency, no joke with them, don't even joke. With it, because it has it has, it has has done a lot to my hair, like you see, being consistent with what i've been doing, has really been so so helpful to me and trust me, i i assure you if you, if you are able to do The secrets care for your hair and be consistent with it trust me you're, going to see changes. You are going to see positive changes in your hair, so guys, finally, finally, to be able to avoid these um protected styles from damaging your hair. I'Ll share just three things for you to do three things and the first one is when you're installing them. It shouldn't. Be tight, don't make it tight number two, the second one is maintain it properly make sure you are moisturizing it as often as possible, make sure you wash it as often as possible. Just make sure you are maintaining the hair and the last one is don't leave it on for too long the highest. I think we should take our hairs one month i mean those people taking their hair for two more three months. How are you coping? Is your scalp not itching you how how eh, okay, i can't say too much manageable, but not for me. Actually, i'm talking for people that actually take their hair for too long, but you say that too much, nothing, no name. I said even one month now, my girl's grace are they used to carry my hair for one month. So, yes, those are the three ways you can actually prevent those, this protective style from damaging your hair. If you don't want to totally avoid them, so i hope you enjoyed this video. I hope you find it helpful if you do make sure to give the video a big thumbs up and subscribe if you are yet to subscribe, and if i actually did not mention if there are some other hairstyles that actually caused them into the hair. And i didn't mention it just let's just share that in the comment section yes and everybody will be glad to see and learn from it so yeah. This is going to be the end of the video baby girl. You don't talk too much. You talk too much. So guys, i'm going to see you in my next video for now bye,
