Thank you, hi. Everyone welcome back to my channel, I hope you're having a wonderful day today. I am talking all about hair accessories and how you can wear hair accessories as an adult and still look stylish elegant, sophisticated and age-appropriate. I absolutely love hair accessories and I love styling them with my outfits. I feel like they are just the cherry on top and they add that much more Pizzazz I am usually seeing sporting some kind of headband or hair bow or Barrette most of times, and usually my style is a little over the top, since I am a style Vlogger, but there are definitely ways to wear them and incorporate them into your style if it's more classic and elegant and ladylike. One question that I've been asked a lot is how to successfully style hair accessories as an adult without looking juvenile hair accessory, especially bows and headbands, tend to have a more Juvenile look to them, but luckily a lot of Brands. These days have come out with some gorgeous elegant, classy and stylish hair accessories made just for adult women. Today, I'm going to share my tips on what to look for when you are shopping for adult hair accessories and how you can successfully incorporate them into your personal style. First things: first, if you are not used to wearing hair accessories, confidence is your best friend. I think that a lot of times we want to do something, but we feel really silly doing it or we care too much about what other people think. So we end up not doing it at all. Luckily, hair accessories come in many forms and you definitely don't have to go over the top to look stylish grown. Women can definitely look beautiful, while also wearing hair accessories, if you're not used to wearing hair accessories, and you have no idea where to start. There are a few things things that can make your life a little easier. Firstly, choose Simplicity over complexity, go for something, that's simple in shape and design in color, Etc. Next, go for something with a smaller size, I would say small to medium, depending on the type of hair accessory that you're using when it comes to Colors, stay more on the neutral side of the spectrum. So you can go either dark or light. I would say for dark Navy black brown, that sort of thing and then light, maybe camel blush pink, white cream or even lighter shades of some of your favorite colors, also opt for designs that don't have a lot of Frills. So you probably don't want a giant bow on your head with a lot of crystals. I do. I do have a headband like that, but if you're just starting out I would recommend doing something more simple and and then you can work your way up from there. So no embellishments or very light embellishments and just a very simple sleek and basic design. Overall, I would also stay away from patterns and bright colors and things that don't easily mix and match with your wardrobe. So, that's why I recommend neutrals or lighter colors when you're, just starting out with hair accessories. You don't really want to go too over the top. You really just want to find something that complements your look, both your outfit and your features. Now I'm going to share some examples of some hair accessories that would work beautifully on an adult that aren't too overwhelming or over the top, and that could perfectly complement your outfit. So I will be going over headbands, barrettes, hair bows and then a few other things that you may like as well when it comes to headbands, look for a smaller size, no padding or just a little bit of padding, no embellishments or light embellishments, neutral colors. And no patterns and Luxe materials like Silk velvet acetate that sort of thing something like this would be really great for every day. This is a blush pink headband and it has very, very, very little padding, so it just gives enough height. It looks really really cute. It goes with pretty much every single color, so this would be great if you just want one headband. That goes with everything. This would be another great choice for a headband if you're just starting out, and you have a very feminine style like myself. This is probably my most worn headband. I love it so much and I know I said little to no embellishments and this is pretty much all embellished um, but I like to think of it like a pearl necklace for your head. It'S still very elegant, sophisticated and mature, and it goes with everything it is absolutely gorgeous. So if you are looking for something a little more plain but does have that wow factor, then I would consider uh looking for something like this. If you want to experiment a little bit, look for some headbands with some interesting Fabrics so for fall and winter maybe try a velvet headband. It doesn't have to have a lot of padding like this one. You can find something. That'S a little flatter um, but this is a really beautiful, burgundy, headband, great for fall and winter and then also leather and chiffon. These are very interesting, but they're still plain and sophisticated and very elegant, and if you want to have a little bit of fun, look for something in a neutral color that has embellishments just a little bit. So this is a really beautiful um Brown acetate hip band. That has some stunning jewels and it's playing from one side and then has the jewels on the other side. It'S not too over the top. It'S not like a giant bow on your head, but it's still really pretty and it's bound to get you a lot of. Compliments and then this one is one of my very favorites: it's a really thin neutral, blush, pink color with this stunning jeweled dragonfly, it's very petite, very girly, and it's just really really beautiful. As you get more comfortable, you can try hair accessories that have bows embellishments, padding, brighter colors patterns and more interesting materials for barrettes, look for a classic shape, little to no embellishments neutral colors, so no patterns and metallics. If you're starting out, I would go for something really simple, so this is a really beautiful, simple hammered gold clip. It looks really beautiful with a half up half down hairstyle and it's not over the top at all - it's very plain, but it adds a little bit of shine and interest to your outfit. If you want to go one step up from a plain Barrette, then try something in a neutral color with embellishments such as pearls. This is a really great way to accessorize it Blends in for the most part, but it does make a little bit of a statement and if that's not enough for you, then look for something in a neutral color and a simple shape that has even more embellishments. These styles are some of my very favorites. It'S still very simple and elegant and streamlined, but it adds interest to the outfit and if you want to add a fun element, then look for something in a neutral color that has less embellishments but has a really exciting element like a bow for barrettes. If you want to experiment a little bit with the style, then look for embellishments bows, different colors patterns, different sizes, maybe go for a larger one and also interesting shapes like butterflies, dragonflies. Flowers, in my opinion, bows are probably the one that most people think of when they think of their childhood. So this one can easily go into um juvenile territory very quickly and there's a fine line, so I would recommend looking for a small to medium size in a neutral color, with no embellishments no patterns and with really beautiful luxurious materials like silk, chiffon, velvet, Etc. If you're not used to wearing bows start with a smaller size in a neutral color and a beautiful fabric, so this is a light pink bow and it would work really well for a half up half down hairstyle. I should also make a note that it's important not to go too small when it comes to bows, because too small or too large can both uh look a little Juvenile and we're trying to avoid that. So um look for one! That'S about this size or a little bit bigger if you're comfortable, going a little bit larger, go for something this size. This is like a medium size, and this is a beautiful classic black bow and a gorgeous silk Fabric. And then, if you want to go a little bit bigger than that, then you can try something that is this size. So this is like a blush pink light, tan color and it's really really stunning. It goes with everything and if you are in the mood to have some fun, then look for a bow that has some embellishments. Something like this would be really great for a special occasion like the holidays. This one isn't a really beautiful light, neutral velvet and it has a pearl and rhinestone details in the shape of a flower. It'S very feminine and beautiful, and it does make a statement. But I think it is really really stunning and you are definitely bound to get compliments when you wear something like this. If you want to experiment more with your bows, then try brighter colors patterns, interesting Fabrics, embellishments and um, bigger or smaller sizes. Now I'm going to share some lesser worn accessories, but I think that they are still great options for adults. So the first one is the jaw clip or the claw clip. It has various names, but this was really popular. I would say like back in the 2000s. Maybe even the late 90s, so I do remember them from my childhood and teenage years, but now they are so beautiful. So I actually don't have any plain ones, but the same thing applies here so neutral, colors, simple designs and that sort of thing. So I have two that I really love, I think they're really feminine they're really elegant, and these are both more on the dressy side, so they can be used for a special occasion. So this one is in a beautiful light, pink color, and it has these stunning Pearl details, and this one is a beautiful champagne, gold color with some rhinestones, so it has a little bit of Sparkle. I also really love simple bobby pins for just pinning back the hair. I think they're super elegant and sophisticated. These are some of my very favorites that I love to wear for special occasions. They'Re super sparkly, but not too over the top, and I love something like this. For every day, a little bit of Sparkle pearls are definitely great because they just have a little bit of Sheen and look very put together if you're into scrunchies. They can also look really grown up and I actually have a scrunchie tutorial and it's super easy. You don't even need to have a sewing machine I'll leave that right here, as well as in the description below. If you want to make your own scrunchie and then you can make it to, however, you like, I highly recommend a scrunchie in a beautiful fabric like Silk. This is a stunning blush, pink color, and it goes with everything I love wearing scrunchies. On my days off off, I love to accessorize, my bun or my braid wear them overnight. If you want to add a little bit of pizzazz, go for one that has embellishments like pearls, it's very ladylike and feminine and really really beautiful. This is one of the scrunchies that I made during my tutorial. I also think that a simple ribbon is a really beautiful option. As a hair accessory, I love wearing ribbons um. Whenever I have maybe a ponytail or braid or even half up half down. I think they are super Chic, it's very simple, but it is a very elegant touch to your outfit, so I have ribbons in various colors. I have pinks. I have blacks, lots and lots of neutrals a few bright colors, but I find that I don't wear them that often so I recommend just using a simple ribbon, even if you are just getting into wearing hair accessories, it's a really great way to start incorporating them. If you're not used to it and lastly, I had to end with the classic silk scarf, so the silk scarf is a great way to accessorize your look anywhere. You can accessorize your handbag, your neck um, so many different parts of your outfit, but it also looks amazing in your hair, in a ponytail and half up, half down or even incorporated into a braid. It'S really really beautiful. It does add some color and some interest and it looks really luxurious, especially if it is a beautiful silk material. This one is actually chiffon and then this one is kind of like a silky material, and you can also use some vintage handkerchiefs. I love using these because they're a little bit more on the smaller side and they do have more of a neutral, color palette, while these are more bold and fun. So that's it. Thank you so much for joining me. I hope that you loved this video and I hope you got some great ideas on how to incorporate hair accessories into your personal style as an adult.
