What'S up YouTube, it's been a while, since I've done a live and I'm super excited because I'm gon na be transforming my niece's hair and let me pump her up a little bit. So you can see her a little better, but I'm really pumped because this is gon na be a long live. I'M gon na show you the whole shebang like the whole everything. Let me bring you a little closer here. Let'S, let's, let's get a little snuggly here there we go so this is as high as we're getting, but we're going to be doing a red, hair transformation and, what's even more exciting, is that she does have these hair extensions. So I'm going to show you in just a little bit, so you see this so um. These extensions were not done by Me by any means, but she did uh get her hair done with somebody who is practicing. This was her first time putting her hair extensions in and honestly, she didn't do too bad, but lots of area for opportunity, for you know perfecting your skill set and we all got to start somewhere. I'D probably say my first install looked something like this. If not worse, so um, basically moral of the story is you know to get good at doing anything. You need to always practice and put it to work and not be afraid to make mistakes right. That'S how we learned is from ours mistakes, so I'm gon na be taking out. These extensions, like I said it's gon na, be all live as far as the application process um. I won't keep you on here for the whole thing, because we're looking at about four to five hours or so, but I will show you the whole application. What we're going to be coloring her with every everything and then I'll be sure to create a little short. So that I'll link down below, along with some pictures that you'll be able to see the complete after results of this, but hopefully you'll, learn something from this technique. She does have really fine hair and it is previously colored with Demi permanent, but we're gon na go for like a 6r, I'm gon na try to make the whole red thing a thing, because right now, copper is super hot right now and I think red is Going to be the next Trend, so I'm going to be using these little baby stork shears here. If you have questions along the way, please feel free to drop them in the chat box below my niece will be also here, live kind of checking on the comments or questions that you have. So, if you know you have anything, she'll read them out to me. So, don't be afraid, don't be shy. Um sharing is caring. If you have a question, someone else might have a question, so I'm gon na grab a clip here, so we can get this going. I even have my coffee because, like this is how actually live. This is, and I don't ever really come - live on on YouTube, but I'm enjoying it more so um I've done so many coppers and resist yeah. I know right like if you're a hair stylist like where have all of the colors been the last like five years. Like I feel like no one's gone, copper or red for like the longest time, so I'm excited to see a lot of these Reds kind of coming back, but we're gon na go red red today, like I'm excited the last time I did like a 6r is Like I don't even know a really long time ago, probably like a year like literally last time, I used like full on red. I don't understand that last question. How am I on here with two ads? What okay, so I'm gon na just section this bad boy out, I'm actually gon na cut these. So now I got ta lower her and I'll lower this as well. So that way you guys can see. Oh thank you so much for subscribing. I love subscribers. Obviously, because that's how I got this beautiful plaque, that's in the background. So thank you. So these are beaded um extensions and you can see the beads right below now. Normally, I would go ahead and like loosen these and then slip this out, but I really don't know how these were put in. So I'm just gon na go ahead and cut the the thread all together. So I'm just going to kind of get in here. So, as far as like opportunities here, there was like a little bit of a lip. So again, this was these extensions were done by somebody that you know is practicing learning how to put them in there's a little bit of a lip here, um that could have easily been kind of trimmed off or sewn in um. The thread color is black. I would have gone with a brown instead of this black and then also the thread is not sewn on the top here, it's more living on the surface of it. So there's just like little rooms, little areas of opportunity, but, like I said this is a pretty good first few installs, if she hasn't done it before, because it is hard it takes practice to like nail down the service. So I'm just cutting these little threads here. Just to kind of be careful not to cut her actual hair, but thank God she's my niece. So even if I do chop off a little chunk, she'll be fine right, right, Melissa, so see this is coming off, which is great. She does have a double um. What'S it called bead right here so um? Oh, this is kind of like a little hack that if you do have fine hair, doing a double bead for your anchor piece. Um can be a good practice um. I don't necessarily think it's necessary all the time but um nonetheless, it's there. So if you have trouble with your beads kind of staying in, you could try that hack or using like micro beads, is kind of another good hack. Do you know when Donna Bella is going to start having in-person classes again, um, I'm not sure when Donna Bella is going to be having in-person classes? But if you get on my email list, uh Lisa, Hair, Artistry or Artistry of by Lisa G and I do hair extension classes and we use all Donna Bella. So when we show you like Donna, Bella, hair extensions and methods. So if you get on my email list, we're going to be coming out with a 2023 uh education in person as well as digital, but the in-person one to me is the workshops are totally worth it because um you're getting that Hands-On and we're like helping you Walk through like policemen and how to do something, because it's very it's very like not only visual but it's kinesthetic like we need to be able to feel like what we're doing. So. That'S what the workshop's, for so we're going to be coming out with another class um going over all that and I'll promise you, this uh we've done two this last year and it is filled with so much information that I think a lot of people were just Like oh, my gosh, my brain's fried so it is a really packed class. So if you're interested in in person, that's what I would look into, but I'm not sure about Donna Bella specifically if they do them they're in Utah um, I'm based out of Southern California. So look at this uh weft is coming out so easily here, which is great but yeah. If you want to get on my email list, you can just head on over to marellamanelli.com. I'M not sure if there's like a um a link down below already, but once I'm done with this live I'll, be putting all the links in there as well. You can come in, I'm just youtubeing live right. Now you are yeah yeah! Okay, you just can't world best, Canada, you're a mate uh. You share Amazing Ideas of hair. I like your videos with full support. Oh thank you. So much was learning to do hair hard. It'S hard for me to get. Compliments! Stop making fun of me. Are you like that? Like do you have a hard time like accepting compliments like when someone's like? Oh you look so pretty and I'm like or like I'm like. Thank you see, I'm I'm not either like. Oh, you look like you've lost weight, I'm like no. I haven't lost weight like I'm very like I just can't accept a compliment. I know I know is learning doing, hair harsh, I'm considering doing. Is it hard? I would say: if you don't, if you don't love it, if you don't love doing hair, it's hard everything's hard when you first do it there's nothing! That'S like easy. You know, there's always going to be something that can be challenging. Look how cool this is. That'S pretty, I want to show our followers our subscribers here. So look Yadira doesn't want to show her face, but um. She just bought this like really fun Little Brush like look how cute that is it's a lava brush who's this by color track yeah. So cute comments are extremely awarded, especially oh, have you lost weight girl? I wish, but no thanks, though foreign I'm working on saying, thank you and that's all I'm working on saying there we go okay. So now I'm going to take out these beads and the way you do that is I'm always using this Lux tool. It Is by Donna Bella and there is a little hole right here. Sorry, I'm looking at the camera, so my like spatial awareness is off, but here's all this little hole right there and that's we're going to put the bead and basically kind of uh just lightly tap it and the beads should come right on off and get a Little closer here we go so the bead color Choice was good. You see how it like Blends in kind of nicely with her hair. Whoops kicking stuff, kicking stuff. Okay, so this part's really really fast. Now she probably does have a little bit of natural shed kind of living inside these beads. Now, if your hair extensions are put in correctly, you will not um experience, traction, alopecia or hair loss, or anything like that. I see lots of misinformation on the internet about you know: oh hair extensions. You know ruined my hair and unfortunately, there's just like there's lots of bad hair colorists out there there's lots of bad hair extensionists out there as well. So it's not a very easy thing to just go ahead and put into the hair unless you know what you're doing so. You know if you experienced hair loss from hair extensions, I would more or less look at the person putting in the hair extensions versus the hair extensions themselves. So this is something to kind of consider um. You know you want to make sure you're going to someone who really knows what they're doing is the bottom line, I'm getting kind of warm in here there we go, so we got that first row out and I'm just going to take my brush and brush any Loose hairs out and the little bit of I call it Gunk, but basically what happens too with hair extensions and it is kind of gross if you don't like it, but it doesn't bother me, but usually you know we have. We have skin here right so that skin produces natural oils and all kinds of things. So you know you want to make sure that um you're brushing all of that out because it can get trapped inside of the bead. And let's go here and pull this back. A little bit - and I actually like this brush it's by spornet. So it's probably one of my most inexpensive brushes I've ever owned and I use it for doing updos and I actually like it for doing things like this too. It'S just kind of small and the perfect size. I think I got this at Cosmoprof. I have a lot of spornet tools, so anything spawn it's kind of like the OG. It'S been around for a while okay, so we got one more row here and then I'll tell you kind of like her color history and what we're going to be doing to her hair. I'M really excited about it. Okay, remember any questions you have about anything at all it. It doesn't even have to be about this. If that's about Salon business um, I don't know hair techniques, anything at all feel free, okay. So as far as Melissa's previous hair color, she did. What do we do to you last time? I don't even think we did highlights to you. I think, just like a green record yeah, so she does have some previous highlights kind of going on. You can kind of see a little bit of that highlight right here. So, mostly around the face area and we just glazed her up, I think I used a level six Demi on her last, just kind of keeping it low maintenance so other than that she does have some old highlights also kind of living underneath. So those are all things to kind of consider she does have pretty fine hair. Hence the hair extensions and what I'm going to be doing is a global highlight throughout we're going to be doing some deep, weaves and teases lots of kind of chunky pieces. So we can create as much Dimension as possible and I'm gon na go for less than 20 foils on her for a full head, which is really exciting. So if you want to check out, you know that technique you're going to want to stick around and then once we lift her. That'S what I'm going to go in with the Demi permanent, I'm not too hot, with like doing permanent all the time. Unless there is gray hair to be covered or we're trying to lift the base - and that makes it a little bit more higher maintenance, but you can see she doesn't have any gray and there's no root on her. So this is what makes it so much more lower maintenance for her. She doesn't have to be married to anything and now that we're like headed into this recession, I think it's really important to you know kind of customize, your clients, uh hair services, so that way they feel like they can come back to you and they can afford It right now because I think we're gon na see a huge shift in our business. I don't know if you've experienced it already, but I can tell you like here in Southern California, there's been a lot of people like not doing as many extensions um they're kind of pulling back on a lot of like high maintenance looks already so these are things That you can kind of you know incorporate into your services um. We have a question. Yes, my hair is thick and curly, and I like to straighten it. Sometimes what is the healthy? What is a healthy temperature that won't won't ruin my hair for as much as I like to straighten it? Okay, so personally I feel like 325 is a good spot to live in, if not less than that, if you can and um you don't ever want to go to 400. It'S like completely unnecessary, but you do want a thermal protectant, so thermal protectant is uh. You want to put something on dry hair, there's lots of great products out there, but one that I really love actually have it right here um, it's called The silkening Heat cream from Kenra. This one is literally it's a cream. So, that's why I like it and you can flat iron right on over it. So this is probably like my go-to and then there's also another one from Moroccan oil. That'S called perfect defense. Those are my two favorites. If you want to check out those products you can head on over to my salon, store Page, it's Rebel femshop.com and look up the Moroccan oil, Perfect Defense or the silkening heat cream from Kendra, and then you can save a little 10 off by using Marella 10. So my first name and then the number 10. um and we do free shipping over orders of 75. But I think that's a really great. Those are two really great products. So that's what I would focus on for heat Blake said: hi hi Blake all right. So I'm just removing these, I'm so like anxious to get this color started. Oh my gosh, but thankfully she only has like two rows going on here. What platform do you use for your online store? I actually use all square. Oh, why is this not working here? Just bump you up see I use Square for my online storage. This is really easy. It'S um goes with my salon. Appointments page because I do have a full functioning Salon called Rebel femme, so Rebel femme.com is where you can learn all about my salon and what we do. But we have a shop page, that's separate, so we're actually a salon, podcast and Shop. So we're all three of those things we're ready to get this started here and let me know if you guys can see: okay, if you're, something like more, you need to see. I'M gon na. Have you like look up a little bit? I'M gon na pull this camera back, so everyone can see your glorious hair um, but you can see like how long it is right. So we got like some pretty good length going on and we're gon na leave it. Her hair looks pretty healthy, it looks like she just got it cut. Did you just get it cut Melissa? The last time I came, you cut it off. I did not cut it off. She always telling me. I cut off her hair. This is why you don't do relatives all right, so I'm gon na take you over here. You can see my like crazy mess. This is all of my PR boxes. I literally have like so much PR that I have to go through and I'm probably gon na do an unboxing with you guys at some point, but let's go ahead and mix up her color. So I'm going to be using - let's see here - you're - probably not gon na - be able to see what I'm grabbing. But let me grab this here, so I'm going to be using Beyond bond from Kenra and we're going to be just doing 20 Vol on her, because she, like I mentioned she has really fine hair. It is on the fragile side. She does have some highlights living underneath her somewhere, so in order to protect that I'm going to be using this and let's go and mix it up Melissa, do you want to help me for a second, let's get all this stuff out of the way. Can you see? No there you go there, you go, can you guys see? Hopefully you guys can see, got my curriculum water over there? Okay, so, like I said Beyond bonds, I do use a scale to mix all of my lightener. I like consistency. I, like a very specific viscosity with my lightener, so the way you're going to get that consistency and predictability of lift is by measuring everything. So I'm gon na go with 30 grams and if you want to know what 30 grams is it's basically about an ounce a little over an ounce, so 30 grams kind of like the go-to I like, measuring in grams, it's more accurate. So let me go grab 20 ball really fast and I always use the dedicated developer. That goes with the brand that I'm using always 30.. So this is one to two isn't what I like so 30 grams of lightener to 60 grams of 20 vol T and I'm pretty much good, so we're good to go. I'M gon na go ahead and mix this with a whisk foreign and let's go ahead and put you back here, I'm gon na go ahead and set up this tray and Melissa's going to talk to you about why she wants red hair. Well, I said if this is true, hi everybody - I am going to take out this brown reddish blonde. I'M keeping this money piece, though. That'S for sure, this money Leaf is everything, but it's gon na be red everything everything be red um today I want to go red because we are going into winter, so this blonde and this brown stuff needs to go and I love change. This is an Extreme Makeover today it is an Extreme Makeover, but it's gon na be a good one, all right almost there almost there. Oh it feels so good. Sometimes, when you take off the extensions you got ta itch your head, you got ta move your hair around. It'S like a little free zone; okay, I'm back with a whisk and I'll, be using this cool board as well. Thank you for your patience, easy because it is hi, Cassie, say hi to my friend Hi friend, Cassie um. So it's a little chaotic because, as you know, it is Thanksgiving week and the salon is pumping out a whole bunch of clients today. So there literally were no whisks. I had to go wash one and come back here already all right. Let'S do this so another couple things um before I get started. I have the big pop of foils they're. These really large foils is what I'm primarily going to be using um. I do have some other foils as well, but I'm going to be using the cool board and hold that for me, and I will also be using my weaving comb. This is like these are like my two OG products that I use to highlight all the time. So if you want watching my more recent videos, that's what I've been doing. Okay, so I'm gon na kind of back this up a little bit, hopefully get there there. We go perfect all right lean on back awesome, so I'm just going to split or kind of separate the front from the back real, quick, we're all simple parting and I'll show you what it looks like in just a second, but basically it's from the Apex right Down below or right behind the ear here, that's going to be the front versus the back. So just to kind of show you really fast and tilt down here so here to here and that's it and then, as far as the back section, I am going to be doing a lot of zigzag partings and we're gon na be teasing the crap out of This basically, so I'm gon na keep my my sections about an inch or two thick, because again she has pretty fine hair. This is, if you want lots of Dimension, um and lots of highs and lows, and this is also a great technique. If you're doing a color correction and you really need to diffuse some lines - foreign, so I got that zigzag part should be nice and uneven. No Rhyme or Reason to it, and I'm also gon na - do another zigzag part right underneath that so we're just going to drop out these little baby hairs. They don't even need to be in there at all and then from here I'm going to go ahead and tease this. I want to get all those little baby hairs right on up. I want this nice and rooted. I don't want a lot of highlight living towards the top, like that's not what I'm doing, however, for her money piece, I probably will be touching that up just a little bit and that will live a little closer to the root area, but for everything back here. This is what I want. I want nice and rooted. Oh, I was like: where did my board? Go? You have my board okay, so I got my board. I'M gon na put my big Papas on here. How do I want to do this? We'Ll go lengthwise for now, so you can see how big this is and I'll be sure to put all the links down below too once I'm done with this live for all of the tools and products that I'm using and we're just gon na put that right On so the key to this, this is basically a foliage. Key to this is the tension like you're holding down here and what's cool about this? Is you can create like V sections right, keep it nice and deep in this in the center, but I'm not going to do that today, we're just going to keep it nice and globally blonde or bright we're doing red here. Let me get readjusted a little bit perfect. Okay, I do got ta say my hair is pretty long yeah. It is long huh, yeah, so I'll be doing more of these, like v-section patterns like closer to the top, but for the background and keep it nice and even across on the top here. So one of my friends told me on her story. She put Melissa to me she's a YouTube Star. Oh I am you are a YouTube Star. Anna only fan star all right, so I got this going on right. We'Re done putting this on! I'M just gon na fold, this right on over cool. Let'S go ahead and put this over here. Hopefully you guys can see a little better. All right, I'm trying to get like the best angle here, because I'm recording on my phone. This is, like so impromptu, said currently doing online state board practice. Oh awesome! Oh, my God, she put you selling your toes or boobs my I have boobs, there's nothing I can do about it. Are you talking about for your only fans, yeah, you're, funny? Okay, so there's another zigzag part, so the top and the bottom is going to be zigzagged, okay and we're just gon na tease this bad boy. This works too for her, because her hair's so fine. If you're working with someone with higher density, I would just take smaller sections and for her, I'm teasing the top and the bottom okay, and I'm basically just trying to do a surface paint to saturated paint towards the ends. This is what it looks like not working with an assistant too, because a lot of people think I have an assistant all the time which I am looking for one, but I in fact do not have an assistant, so I started out by really saturating down here. First - and this is where I'm going to stroke my product right on up so that foil is giving me a little Bend, let's go ahead and fix that there we go so Lightner is very visual. So exactly how it looks is how it's going to process. So you see this line right here like I do not like this line, so I got ta eliminate that and that's just because of the way, the foil kind of like folded up on me right there and we're gon na fix that foreign. It'S kind of hard to see on this little corner down here, but you really want to brush back and forth. This is how you're going to get inside on the interior, because what can happen is it can process really kind of spotty? If you don't have the proper saturation, okay, not too sure where my comb went there, we go okay. So this is a pretty wide section, so I'm gon na go ahead and split this one into two, just because this is where her head starts to curve too. So it gets a little difficult and I want to make sure that I'm hitting all the right spots plus this is where I'm going to start incorporating a v section. So this is where I want that depth right here in the center. I want to maintain that just let me show you what that looks like okay, so I'm going to hold the hair straight out and then T is kind of close and then bring my comb down down down. That'S how I get that tease and we're going to kind of do the same thing down below. I just don't want any of those little baby hairs take my board. So this time I'm gon na make sure that foil line came right out. That was my fault. Last time and we're going to insert this here hold this down, and this is where I'm going to apply my lightener, but I'm only going to apply it to one side now, because I want to start creating that V pattern. So I want it to go high to low down here. Hi going YouTube live. Oh you really! Yeah Yeah, Hello friends. Someone was asking earlier um if Donna Bella's doing hair extension classes, and I was telling them that we're going to be doing some next year. So we got to come up with our calendar for next year. Still it's been on the back burner, but we're doing it so hey y'all, it's funny, because I get asked about that. Probably every time I go live yeah, don't worry guys we're coming out with one. Oh someone highly so hi Lisa G. What'S up, I don't even know who this is. I don't even know why she's here I went, live on Instagram yeah. Yes, two days ago, uh someone who doesn't even do hair was like hey. When are you and your partner in cry, I'm gon na do another collab I was like I don't know I was like you know: we've been really busy, we don't even do hair and uh. We love. I love watching you guys. Oh, that's cool, it is you guys are so famous we're not iconic Duo kind of. Are we really are kind of like a big deal just kidding? I like big big, so guess what we're doing with Melissa's hair Lisa feel bright red, oh 6rr, oh yeah, and we're gon na also color, her extensions, I'm bringing inspections back yep. Thank you. Okay, real quick, this little trick to this board. If you can do a couple things, if you wanted to tease down here, it'll make a really narrow section or if you tease it from up here, it'll, keep your suction as wide as you had it. So those just like kind of a little tip here. So this side, I'm gon na, just highlight this exterior so we're creating the depth in the center. I'M giving like, I feel, like Prime education here completely for free on YouTube for everybody to see, but I plan on doing a lot more of these, but on my membership site on YouTube. So that's going to be ultimately where I'll be doing, hair live, but I'm just kind of giving you guys a little teaser of like what exactly I'm showing you, which is pretty much everything here and you take this damn thing off. I'M like on fire she's getting naked. I am it's really hot. I missed that comment. What did they say? I absolutely love the court. How do you say it? The boards? Oh the rewards, yeah I got last week. They made things so much easier. I know so how how do you, how many times have you used it already? Thank you, oh see so she's from my she has a little curling iron she's one of my membership. Oh, is that how you could tell so she gets VIP VIP, uh answers here. Well, I have a really cool I've only gotten to use them twice, but I'm in love, yeah, they're awesome. I, like literally tried it. When I remember the first time I tried it. I was like oh wow. I was like this makes my life so much easier and you don't have to tease like you can just like push it up. I mean there's so many different ways to use it um, but if you're on my membership site, I'm going to be putting up pretty soon, um you'll have first dips to see another tutorial that I just made, but I'm really excited you'll get a sneak. Peek of some brand new uh rapid toners, that kind of I was coming out with so that's really exciting, so be on the lookout. For that I think the cool board also it like makes your just the timing of everything like go by so much faster. That'S what I love about it. Let me try to change direction here. There we go so these two right here on basically exterior so like on the outside. Here it's living a little bit more blonde, still keeping it depth, but you can see I've transitioned now into a horizontal, so this is going to give me a nice Veil over this round head. So I have a really great tutorial that goes over um, the foil placements and the effects they create, and I think that gives you a lot of like aha moments when you're highlighting all right, I'm here for the VIP answers. All for all your tips, you are so welcome. I really enjoy educating it's like my favorite thing to do so. I'M always. I wish I had more time honestly um. A lot of you know that I have a lot of children, so that's uh. What'S really kind of holding me back from like really sharing everything that I really love doing so um, of course I love being a mom. It'S definitely super rewarding, but I also love this part of my life, which is doing hair and educating everybody. So, okay also a little tip if you are doing this technique and you're finding that it's getting kind of difficult to like really push through the hair, you can get a one tooth, comb and comb the lightener through the ends, but I'm not really going for something. Super blonde on her, so what I know I'm gon na do later is in about 20 minutes. Once I'm done, I'm going to remove these foils and really work the lightener through the ends. We have a question. Go for it! How in the world do you balance? Homeschooling all the mom things with owning your business, gosh um. Well. First of all, I do have a husband and he does help a ton. He is definitely I could not do it without my husband's help like by any means. So that's number one um and he also works from home. So we are both working parents. So that's you know number one and number two, my two older children. They are basically kind of able to take care of themselves. So they're homeschooling, to be completely honest, is pretty easy because they're very responsible, I am a big advocate for teaching your kids, how to be independent, so my boys really know how to overall be responsible. Take care of themselves. That'S not to say that you know they are teenagers, so sometimes you know I need to do a little check-ins here and there, but overall they do a really great job of being responsible for their schoolwork. So I do pride myself in that um. Knowing that you know, I've taught them the right things to do, um, it's really the little ones that I have the biggest time, uh balancing, because they're four and three um. But you know we basically kind of like balance it with. You know just being very strategic with schedules and I have a great team also at the salon, so the salon in complete transparency, I do not really manage anymore. I have a fantastic Salon manager, uh Lisa is my education manager, and then I have Danielle. Who is my uh marketing manager? She takes care of all of our social media, our email list and everything. So we have really great systems in place, so anytime you're trying to balance something and you feeling like you need help. This is when you need to Outsource and find other people to do things for you, so that would be like my biggest tip is just create systems that are going to work for you to help you with your business. I just got to a point where I knew I could not manage my salon and manage my own business anymore, so I needed to hire a manager to do that for me, um and like, for example, today we're doing a couple interviews and I have nothing to Do with the interviews my salon manager is taking care of all of that for me, so she's doing the interview doing the technicals doing the hiring, and I love those things so, okay, so I just married these diagonals with a horizontal I'm gon na. Do one more diagonal here: I think that looks good. It'S kind of hard to tell from the side, so you guys can see too, but you can see here how many foils I got. I got one two, three, four, five, six, seven foils, eight, nine ten! So we're doing pretty good remember. I said I want to do less than 20 foils. Now, if you're wondering why I have this comb, there is a reason I'll show you once I get toward the top here foreign. So for this one I am also going to kind of do a v here um. But when I'm mirroring things together, I do it Global, so it'll you know, or you could do a V2 which is like totally up to you, but this is gon na. Be a half V so anywhere where you want to create depth, that's where you want to create those half of these. This is the cool part about watching hair live is because you can see all of the little real mistakes right like there's no movie Magic here. So don't ever think that someone is completely perfect in how they apply things, because even I make little mistakes all right. Let'S just go ahead and change this guy turn your head. This way, perfect, are you planning on going to any hair, shows next year? Um? Maybe I mean right now: I honestly have not even finished my calendar for next year. I'Ve just been so busy um we've had lots of changes in my salon. Let me go in another Direction here: um we've had lots of changes in my salon, so I've just been really focused on the business right now, because it is such a crazy time with you know, balancing the holidays. So unfortunately, I don't have like any solidified dates, but I would love to come to some hair shows. If you know maybe Kenra will invite me to do one um. I know I've done a couple for Donna, Bella, hair extensions as well so yeah, it's just a matter of you know if if the the stars are in alignment - and we can do it, I'm kind of more focused on my own education recently. So that's where a lot of my focus has been is for my beyond the chair, Mastermind students, my YouTube here. I want to continue to grow this Channel and provide more value to my members on this site, so just kind of slowly. You know focusing on those two things to be completely honest with you, um and I plan on doing a lot more in-person, education too. So, basically, for next year, what my salon Rebel Femme is doing is we are launching our very first ever education program for our Junior artists. That start here in our assistance and it's basically a six month program to catapult them onto the floor. So they're able to start taking clients so basically we're right now. What we're doing are interviewing a lot of strong candidates who have natural talent and are ready to take their career to the next level. Essentially, so that's where a lot of my focus has been so I'll be doing a lot more in-person education, but like here in-house okay, almost need to mix up some more here, but hopefully you can see pretty well. Okay, so right here, I'm gon na take a little baby piece for Global lightness, and I'm probably going to finish this section off, though with a couple different ones. So, just because I want to maintain this depth here, should I take this this then I feel like we can go a little bit more cool um. One of my friends says the contacts but, and you guys are blurry. Oh no! Really, let's see if you guys think I'm blurry, let me see if I can fix that: let's try that out foreign. Hopefully that's not as blurry awesome. Okay! Sorry about that, I think it's our Wi-Fi terrible Wi-Fi! I just got off the Wi-Fi so that helps a ton. That'S the problem, going live right, never know. What'S gon na happen, it's not perfect! Okay. So this is my Merry piece here, that's kind of like right on the top. I want to create some depth still, so I'm not going to take this all the way to the center, but I am just gon na highlight these little baby pieces here on the side. That way, I still have that depth going on in the very top Center. I hate when it's like super bright there, but sometimes I like it bright there too. It just depends on what I'm doing what I'm going for. I just want to make sure she has enough red and deep red on this top here all right. Oh this. This little janky tripod, I'm using, is terrible. Okay, go and put your head up. For me. Awesome that's perfect! So that way they can see. So we got this very top of her Section here in the back that separated the front from the back. So this is where I'm gon na start incorporating this comb. Just because I have a small section here. So I'm going to take this wide highlight comb and then I'm going to insert it okay and it already separates it for you, which is cool, but because it's a wide piece, it kind of creates a very uneven joggedy piece still. But I'm really going to be able to go a lot closer right here versus what I'm normally able to do with the TZ light and you'll see exactly what I mean so for this one. I'M gon na use a smaller foil, but look how much closer I got to her root area. Doing that. So that's why I'll use those two techniques and I'm doing that just because she is we're seeing these highlights on the top. I want them a little higher and for this one I am going to do a global, so just keeping it nice, and even so everything that I'm doing is very purposeful on exactly where I want it to live. Look at that. I already need more lightener, so I'm gon na go mix up a little bit more. You can relax Melissa and you can chat with the audience. We need some like music or something right. Yeah. Are you getting caught Melissa? No, I'm getting excited good. You should be. It'S actually been a long time since I've done this like a big deal yeah, I usually just do like one color and then just sew in the the heroin highlights. You know yeah to give it some kind of dementia dementia. I said dementia yeah. I knew what you meant dimension, so this is like a little big thing for me all right, I'm actually gon na turn the AC on, because it's getting kind of warm in here. For me, no, these aren't out yet all right, so Melissa got ta turn around. So we can get you started here all right right. There stop okay! So this is kind of the viscosity that I like too for my lightener foreign. So cute, though I'm like obsessed with those okay. So let's go ahead and work on the side here. Bring you in a little closer closer all up in your face, Melissa. Okay, so here you can kind of see her little bit of a money piece going on. We want to keep that. I don't really want to mess with it. I actually like how it's grown out. It looks really soft and pretty, but I am going to bring it up just just a little bit right here. So a really cool tip is, if you want to know where you should put a money piece I like to grab all of the hair and then pinch it and you see where it like, naturally just kind of splits. That'S that piece that's going to always fall forward, so that's kind of like usually like my guide huh. What what are you talking about? Look at that yep so from there I can clean it up. That'S why these little pieces kind of live there. So I will bring this up tiny bit, but not much. I like, I said I kind of like how it's been grown out. What'S up highlights you had to do what purple instead of highlights? Oh okay, because she she she's experience. Oh okay: let's get up and receive her cool situation, but it looks good. It turned out really. Well, I really like the haircut too. I think I want bangs huh okay, so we just had. Let me show you guys, so we just had a technical come in and look at this haircut, it's so freaking cute comment. If you think I should get bangs like this, isn't that cute, because I think it's so cute we had her do purple highlights. I love it, isn't it I like I'm like upset, I want this haircut. Okay, you don't have super curly, I don't like you. She said it too. Well, she has curly curly hair, but I think I dig those bangs get bangs. They say to get bangs get bangs get bangs, how many people, how many people said, get things I'm getting big, I'm going out with the bang all right cool, so I got her a little hairline here, never a dull moment at the salon. I tell you so I'm gon na I'm gon na separate that because we're gon na baby light that so I got this entire section so keep in mind. This was like the front section and then it's just pretty much down the center here. We'Re gon na fix this right here. This is where she naturally Parts her hair. I always like to work with natural Parts like how they come in, and I'm just gon na take a zigzag part on this side and we're going to continue on with this. Actually, I lied, you know what we're gon na do we're gon na go diagonals and do a zigzag and the reason why I'm doing that again, I talk about that in my foil video, but she likes to wear her hair kind of going towards her face. Typically, she says it's a way, but it's cheek always comes in with it facing towards her face. So this is going to give me a lot of blend going this way, but she pulls it back. We'Re gon na get nice bright ribbons, which will be kind of fun, so I'll definitely style her hair going away from her face today, but yeah look at this like she has so much blonde hair still so like. I don't even really want to highlight this too much. What'S up, Yadira bangs are no bangs for you, things are no things for you like what kind of baby like long beans. Yes, okay, see. Oh my gosh, you guys drive me nuts drive me nuts. I tell you: oh my God, people are asking for my autograph. Oh, I don't know why. I'M folding that do you ever kind of go through that yeah we got a lot of blonde kind of going on in the front, definitely want to touch those all right. So we're keeping the depth here for this front piece and the way I'm going to do that again and is keep this side brighter and keep the interior darker. So this is going to add a lot more depth right here. So keep in mind when you want your highlights to pop and you want them really bright, you need the depth right, so you need the dark background and the reason why I'm so focused on keeping this dark here is because we're going to get a little closer To the root for those highlights - and I need that background to sit there, especially when her hair moves foreign guess what color we're doing either we're gon na tell you already left here: no we're gon na. No, I don't want to be a troll legendary anymore. No, no more, no more Chola, okay! Guess it's always something like totally awful like okay, just guess it's in the winter, it's winter Vibe! That'S for sure! That'S why I'm thinking black cherry? No! Thank you! So much, not blonde careful, no she's! Guessing all all of the colors um, I actually never got this red with the curry base too. Yes, Lisa go big or go home. Should we have Lisa cut your hair? No, no heck, no she'll cut it all off yeah. She always does who her she goes. This much and then only because only because I know you yeah on yeah, because you need it on like clients I'll never do that. You'Re, not you're, not a client, not really. I feel like the guinea pig guys. So what the hell are you doing here? Okay, so I'm gon na continue. This diagonal here zigzag on both sides, no idea. This is my first time doing. Hair, there's always a first time for everything: oh everybody's, the same bangs, guys everybody's, saying bangs. Oh, my God, in the comments, all right, we're doing, bang guys we're gon na do the bangs. So this is where I'm incorporating a little higher in the roots. Let'S do it. Oh she's Mexican, who you I'm not Mexican, I'm Ecuadorian be scared. I'M scared! Why Lisa? Why are you so serious over there? My ancestors shrunk heads for a living. So that's really why I'm a hairdresser, yep? Okay, no, in all seriousness, look up the jivado people from Ecuador wouldn't be surprised. That'S my where my ancestors are from probably yeah hey. I know for a fact that, when um Ecuadorian, uh chick on Tick, Tock were related, because we basically speak the same language. Oh my God use. We use sound effects for uh for describing things like when we get ready to cut your hair. We'Re just gon na. Do like a little, you know yeah. She does do that, though yeah I do she'll be like okay here, I'm like! Oh as long as you don't go that we're good, it's all about the sound effects or Bing. That'S when I get your eyeball with the shares. Oh, that was reserved for me you're, good. Okay, I'm sorry, okay! So these are all diagonals you guys, but you can see like I'm I'm pretty much. There is some Dropout. These are going to create like little soft ribbons, but they're a lot closer to the root. This is what I want, but it's not on the root. Okay and here's, my last little one, you can see how thick it is. It is a triangle piece. It'S going to give me lots of Dimension going on. Should I go like this? Maybe they could see? No, you can turn your head, though you're smashing my foils. Ah okay, if you turn your head this way, so they can see yep right. There is good and then tilt it. So you can see that triangle section. That'S how I'm finishing off another great way to to finish off is horizontal, gives a nice Global um effect there, but we're going to continue on so that way it just kind of veils over with the pieces. We'Re gon na put awesome almost done with this side. I think we're gon na make it for the less than 20 foils. That'S for sure all right, so this side is done, let's go ahead and do the other side and then I'll show you kind of what I'm going to do for these little money piece pieces here, I'm literally not going to put too many foils going on so So same thing: we're gon na isolate out this hairline here, where she's got these heard, that natural money piece and I'm gon na use that as my guide and just bring that all the way down and separate that that's basically what I don't want to touch right Now I literally cannot wait for you guys to see this because you're gon na see how much blend we get from this. Just from all the zigzags and the teasing, I'm actually gon na drop that out, because she's got a lot of blonde there foreign. I got this media room where I'm able to have it a little bit more quiet because it's loud out there in the salon - I don't know if you guys can hear it. It kind of like stays - quiet huh in here yeah yeah for the most part until they come back and start getting loud and rowdy dude. These big poppa foils seriously. My favorite thing. Okay, so remember this, so the very first one down here is horizontal Global. This is going to give me the brighter keeping the depth on the interior. Here, that's what I want and if you happen to get too much lightener right there, just like kind of work it down there we go. So we need this background in order for these little baby lights that we're putting up towards the top to look bright okay, so you can kind of customize it. I did put two on this side um on her right side, but think we're gon na kind of start, switching it up here, just because. Well now we have a little bit more wiggle room here. So just keep in mind, you want to stay very visual with, especially when she has like a slight off-center part. You don't want to have too much highlight on one side, so I'm going to do one more of these okay, let's do another one of these bad boys, but are you relaxed Melissa, fired yeah? I could tell because we're quiet now, I'm ready for those bangs. Oh, my goodness, well, everyone's gon na have to come back and see if we actually cut your bangs, because I'm telling you okay so now we're here at the little tippy top I'm gon na take another little zigzag section insert my comb separate that foreign, so I'll Kind of talk about the background really quick, because I know I've mentioned it a few times, but I don't think I really elaborated so that way. I have that full understanding, but you see how like these are little tiny highlights here. For the most part, this is gon na sit right on top of this dark, as well as this little patch of dark that we created in this foil underneath it. So that's why you want that Darkness, because these are gon na go poof and they're gon na look so pretty, especially with bright red that we're gon na put on her. I love how you said: they're gon na go see I'm telling you. I that's part of my language man, so I'm gon na take up this whole section here it's pretty wide, but that's okay. She has Fine enough hair to do so. I'M gon na insert the comb. So a lot of people ask me too they're like What's the trick for this. So if you want no little baby hairs or crosshairs in the way of your foil, you want to take a really clean section and then do this. But I like the crosshairs, because it gives me that slight teasy light effect, but the way you do it is you want to make sure this is nice and taut insert this comb? I kind of turn it towards me and it automatically separates the hair where I'm able to easily put in my finger and separate those hairs out. So like this stuff. I don't mind that, because I'm going to insert this cool board anyways all right so now we're like completely done putting these foils in um, like I said we did less than 20 foils, but now I got ta put in her little money piece pieces. Just really quick, so I left those intentionally for last. Just because, like I don't really want a lot of brightness there and I just more or less want to focus on just be like literally I'm gon na put like one little baby light in here. That'S it! Nothing crazy, nothing, nothing crazy! I just really liked how it looked, so I don't really want to disrupt it. I like that it still looks rooted and it grew out. So pretty what did that person say? Hey guys, hey guys. I thought I had seen a question. Okay, so you can see this is her piece. I'M just gon na bring this up just a little bit. So now I'm going to show you how to get a really clean section with this comb, so you're going to take a clean section like that. Then insert this and that's how you get that clean section and that's why I love this comb so much because there's so many options with it. I'M gon na switch up my brush here and I'm still going to stroke this up. I don't like creating that harsh line of demarcation, cool foreign and then I'll show you one more. I'M gon na go right behind this section, make sure it's nice and clean and I'm pretty much going to leave this little guy right here like I, don't really want to touch this. Like I said I like the rootedness of it, I think it looks nice and soft when it's to the side, I'm just these are gon na like bring that blonde up. For me perfectly sometimes less is more.
