Hey babes, welcome back to my channel y'all know, jumping right into the video today, I'm going to be showing you how I dye my hair at home y'all know. Typically, I like to keep my hair pretty dark, so I'm actually trying the new ion colors inspired by Nature. This is like a natural black. They actually just ran out of the jet black color, so I went into Sally's and someone recommended I try this one. So I'm like okay, I guess I'll give it a try. So here we are, I'm actually just completely opening up the package. Typically, I can get away with using like one full tube of color, but my hair got a little bit longer and I think I got a little cocky because once I empty out the other one you guys can see. I had absolutely too much freaking color to work with, so I ended up using it on some bundles for another video which you guys will see either before or after this one. They did actually give me a pre-color treatment. So, of course, I just massaged that all throughout my hair, this is actually my first time using a pre-color treatment. Typically I'll just go straight in I'm not sure even what it's supposed to do, um just being completely honest, but it's saying that it's supposed to help protect your hair and like help the color penetrate a little bit easier to me, I'm gon. Na be honest. I didn't necessarily see a difference, but I will say that, of course my hair did what I needed it to do, and usually what I'll use is a semi-permanent ion rinses. So I know some of you are probably like Chrissy. Your hair is already dark girl, like it's pretty dark, well yeah. In the light, it does actually reflect a little bit of like light brown, that kind of reddish brown and some of the temple areas, which is fine. But I knew that I was going to be wearing the beaded microwave extensions and I wanted everything to be one. Color, so that we are not fighting okay, because y'all know when y'all see the weaves and it's like all right girl, we got red and brown at the top. We got black at the bottom. What'S going on so anyway. Definitely make sure that when you do this, you wear clothes that you don't really care about. I actually decided to put on like an old Cape that I've had since whoo, since I started there doing hair with what was the name of that Salon. I can't even think of it anyway, fun fact, the very first time that I've ever stepped foot into like a salon to work was when I was about 15 years old. There was a project called the Georgia teen work program, and so my mom uh enrolled me in that and of course I got to work for ten dollars an hour while still in like high school, I mean like probably 10th grade right. I was like 14 15, like crazy, but anyway yeah. So I got this. This is where I actually got this cape from, and I've had it ever since. That literally has pushed me forward and just like my whole hair Journey, all that good stuff doing hair just that young and back then I think I was even practicing on some of my friends hair my their parents hair and getting paid like either nothing or like Mcdonald'S smoothies, so how embarrassing, but anyway so yeah, you guys, will see I'm just gently applying the color and I'm using a brush just to really make sure that everything is just kind of like all going in the same direction. I made sure not to just throw this on my scalp. I did actually use a 20 volume developer and I allowed this to process for about 20 to 30 minutes. I typically don't leave it on for too too long. I definitely don't leave the bathroom when it is in my hair, just because I don't want it to over process and y'all know. My hair is naturally kind of coarse, so I definitely want to make sure to kind of protect the Integrity of my hair as much as possible. You guys remember where I started and kind of where I am now, so I just want to make sure that my hair is being completely healthy at all times and that we aren't just kind of doing whatever it is. We want to do with it right, so you guys will see that I'm here just kind of massaging all the color in and I just maneuver throughout one side I try my best to like wipe away any of the excess uh excess any of the excess color. With like a towel that I don't really care too much about just because you guys will find that it will stain your skin and people will tell you, oh use the color to remove the color yeah. That is the case. You should do that, but once it makes kind contact with your skin a lot of the times it's already kind of set in so definitely catch it. While you can definitely make sure you wear gloves, don't do this on the carpet at your mama house. Definitely make sure that you are in the bathroom have something down on the floor, just in case it kind of splatters, because you are not in a salon environment, and I just don't want y'all to get this everywhere, like I have so many times before. So you guys will see the color is kind of coming out this brownish shade, but don't worry as it starts to process. You also actually notice that it'll start to turn about the jet black color. So it is more of a natural black which I appreciate um, and so it won't be a little bit too harsh on my skin, especially because we're getting into the winter months and y'all know, I started lighting up like a Christmas tree, all right, the tan that I worked so hard for it just disappears so anyway, I went ahead and just kind of finished that up y'all see just double, checking triple checking making sure that everything is massaged in and I usually like to hit the roots first and then I'll go back and Just kind of apply the color all throughout out the rest of my hair. You guys will notice that I did not use a comb to go through my hair, I'm literally just using all of the color that I almost wasted. Um just to really really bind everything in massaging it in and allowing it to process and do what it needs to do so. In the meantime, I did actually go ahead and use the remaining color that I had just to go ahead and dye the bundles. I did a little watercolor if you guys are not familiar with that method, definitely check it out, but you guys can see. When I turned around, I was able to see like all behind my ear. I had like a lot under my chin, I'm like how do we even get here girl, okay, anyway, after about 30 minutes, I'm really about 20 minutes, but hey we're just gon na say: 30. um. I did go ahead and just rinse everything out. I decided to apply the conditioner while I was in the sink just so that it could stop dripping, and then I wanted to come back to the mirror, just to show you what my hair looks like so um. So far so good I mean my hair is definitely full from root to tip. Most of everything has caught up with itself. Remember. My bang area was a lot shorter than like the back of my hair, and I did actually make the mistake of cutting off about two inches in my bang area. When I did like a u-part so hoochow, it's always a challenge when it comes to this hair, but I'm using the design of Essentials. This is their almond butter, deep, conditioner, yum, stuttering, stuttering is so good, okay, but absolutely love this stuff. I like to use it overnight most of the time anytime, I'm doing a deep condition, I'll even add a little bit of oil just to really really penetrate my hair. I don't mind it kind of being weighed down, which I later regret it, because of course I was going to be wearing kind of a straight style, so I did need for this to be not as heavy but for the protection of my hair. I was appreciative of that and I do actually have a deep conditioning routine. So in case you guys have not seen that definitely make sure to check it out. I'M just going to go ahead and cover my head with a plastic. Is this a plastic wrap y'all know what I'm trying to say a shower cap and you can find these on Amazon Target Walmart beauty supply store all that good stuff. I actually have my Amazon store linked down below so definitely make sure to check it out and that's pretty much it for this video. So I hope you guys enjoyed it. Y'All know. I love you, so much stay pretty and I will see you next time. Bye. Babies, foreign

diamondsandlipgloss: I usually use Ion Midnight Black permanent, but I tried this natural version and it was not bad but the color does fade much like a semi-permanent ( i use pre-color and after color conditioner/treatment too). your hair has really grown

Char Turner: I love the results. It's definitely a natural looking Black as opposed to the super harsh artificial-looking Black color.

Terribian Dukes: Okay hair growth !! I wish you took clients, I need your growing hands But love the video

Jeannie Tchimbakala: Magnifique ma belle

Mightywwf ELL: I follow 2 young ladies they dye there hair once a year. I Do my own so I don't pay alot I did use a new brand I will never do that again.
