Foreign, if you are new here, please subscribe if you are not welcome back so in today's video, as you see in the title, I'm going to be relaxing my hair or doing a touch up. It is a well needed. My new growth is about. Let'S see, I want to say up to here yeah, so it is time for a relaxer. I believe, I'm almost six months. It should almost be six months, so my last relaxer was about five to six months ago, almost six months ago. So it is time for a touch up. I try to do between five to six months, so that equates to a two two touch-ups a year, just a little back story. Since this is my first relaxer video, I got my first relaxer when I was nine, then I was relaxed until I was. I went natural when I was 17. I believe I cut all my hair off. I had really low hair I'll insert pictures and I stayed natural until not last year until 2021, so it was September 2021. I decided to go back to relaxers. The natural hair was just not for me. It wasn't giving what I needed to give. So I gave up so I'm back to relax here for a little over a year now so I've already detangled my hair and keep in mind guys it's 8 25 at night, like a slate we're gon na. Do this, though, because I have to do this today, so this is the relaxer I'm using good old classic olive oil um. This is the normal one. I do have really fine hair. Like really fine strands, you may be able to see, so I can't use nothing else but irregular. I'M about to mix this up and up back with all right, editing Michaela. Here I had to come to a voiceover, real quick, because I had to cut out the audio, but I just wanted to let you know what I was doing so I'm using Vaseline here, the petroleum jelly just to protect my skin around the perimeter. You know my hairline my neck, my ears, so if any product gets on there, it won't burn me so here, I'm just sectioning my hair off and I'm gon na put them in some small twist in how I will apply the product just to make it a Little easier because I'm one person I won't have as much control as if someone else was doing it for me. So this makes it a little easier just to have these pre-sectioned for when I'm applying the relaxer throughout my head, and it makes me go faster as well, because you know you only have so much time to apply so later on in the video. The audio will be back and you will also be able to see how much quicker I can move and also here. I am applying some more of that Vaseline to my scalp, just to protect it from being burnt as well. In case any of the relaxer gets on it back to the regular video audio, see I'm already missing out. I can't do these voiceovers bye, guys all right so now that we are done with the gloves on and get started, make sure your mixture is completely smooth and there's no lumps. So if you need to read the instructions before you start, please do so I'm just putting my towel on to protect my scan on my shoulders. So I'm going to be using this red tail comb to apply just to my roots, only not to the rest of the strands on my hair just my roots, that's all that means to be processed, so I'm gon na speed through this is gon na, be sped Up in the video, but for my type of hair, I find here the overall processing time between applying and it's sitting should not pass 10 minutes. You got ta move quick um. If you have someone to help you that is recommended, but this is not one. Woman show over here, so we just can't move as fast as we can uh vibrations vibrations. I don't know my first full run through so I'm gon na. Do this final comb through of everything just to make sure everything is covered and smooth, and now I'm going to cover my edges? I leave my edges for last because I don't want my edges to over process, obviously, because those hairs are much finer and they'll process really quick. So after I comb this through completely I'm going to hop in the shower and rinse everything out foreign. I use this on a regular, both of them actually and then this is the replenishing conditioner all right guys. I just finished in the shower. I shampooed three times, I believe, just to make sure I got all the relaxer out and I deep conditioned. While I took a shower so I put it in a towel while I was getting dressed to just dry but from what I saw and felt it took pretty well, it took pretty well so my roots, mind you. I don't really like my roots super straight, but I think it did good only thing I like sugar is my edges because makes them easier to lay but the rest of my hair. I don't really mind so I'm not going to trim my ends today because I actually did a pretty blunt cut, not even a month ago. I don't think so. I'M not ready for a trip yet maybe in the next two weeks or so when I wash my hair I'll do a trim, but I don't think I need one today so we're just gon na blow dry style it a little bit. So we can see the finishing results, so I'm what I'm gon na apply. I don't have any leave-in conditioner. I just checked my little stash in here, but I'm gon na use this moisturizing lotion that comes in the Box just a little bit, not a lot, because I don't want it to wait on my hair that much and apply that all over throughout my hair. Just so, especially on my ends, and I do want to add a little dot of olaplex number six. This is the bun smoother, so my next wash day after this, I always the first wash day after I relax I'll use. The olaplex sets so just a smidge that might not be too much. Oh, my God take off like a bit like that. So the last thing I'm gon na do before I start blow drying is just some Tresemme heat protectant again, not a lot. I have fine hairs, have to be very light-hearted or just that we are gon na blow dry. This is my baby bliss Pro blow dryer powder brush to get it as straight as I can I'm outside foreign once I have my flat iron on 295. So, just to start it a little bit, but my roots are very straight it I am all done with styling. This is the final look. I tried to call my baby hairs a little bit, but no product on it just lie down in the right direction, but um I like it. It'S cute. I wish my bang was a little bit more layered, but it's pretty long. I threads on my hair. So it's not laying home on it to lay, but it's okay, it's cute! It will work for the time being so yeah. This is the end result. What time is it? How long will this take us, 10, 19 and - and I think we decided - I ate something I think so two hours I mean, I realized how it came out - also leave a comment I want to know. Do you relax sure if you have relaxed hair? Do you like your hair yourself or do you go to a hairdresser like? Let me know your thoughts on this whole process. If you haven't already be sure to like comment, share and subscribe, here's a little secret if you made it this far in the video here's a secret for you. So the reason why I relaxed my hair today - because I didn't necessarily have to I - was riding with it. Wasn'T it wasn't, you know hard to be with or anything, but I'm getting a sewing in like two weeks. I think - and I haven't had a sewing in probably I wan na stay five years, but I want to get one so into our back. So, if you're interested, I want to film the whole thing and let you guys see you know how it went so, if you're interested in seeing that in the next couple videos you have to subscribe and turn on your post notifications. So you know when it is uploaded, if you want more relaxed hair videos, let me know as well. I didn't really intend to do this, but I was like I'm about to do my hair tonight, so why not film it type of thing? So let me know I'm done rambling, that is it for this video and until next time, one week up on yourself, bye, guys
