Oh y'all can't hear me huh. Can you hear me now that's crazy. That is so crazy. You still can't hear me. You can hear me. Okay, okay, it says. Yes, you all can hear me hi. Ladies welcome to the channel. Okay um. I have not been live in quite some time. I try to do my chit chat, wednesdays here and there, but the last month or so. Actually i did do a chit chat wednesday. Last month, the topic was on how to restore your hair without having a big chop and the replay can actually be found in the sitting. Pretty academy link is in the description box. I will upload a preview to it. I'M way behind on that, but it's been a while, since i have done a live stream, and i would like to continue with the chit chat wednesday series, i think the most sustainable way for me to go about doing. That is by doing them bi-monthly. Instead of every week, okay, because every week - i'm just it's just not gon na - it's not gon na happen. Okay, a lot of a lot of planning and a lot of time goes into those shows, so i think for me to be able to do them in a way that doesn't compromise the content or the quality um, doing them on a bi-monthly basis, as in or A bi-weekly basis every other week is the best option. Let me place this here, so welcome back to the channel the reason that i'm choosing to go live today. Actually, it is wednesday, but the reason i chose to go live today is because the channel has recently surpassed 3 000 subscribers. So i would like to welcome all of the new subscribers to the channel. Okay and, as a matter of fact, i was gon na. I'M not gon na send any i'm not gon na send out an email, because it's kind of late um. So, if you're here right now - and you haven't already turned on your notifications for the channel - make sure you do so because you will be notified of every time that i upload and i actually think you have the option to customize which notifications you get. I'M not completely sure, but you may be able to do that. So if you haven't already make sure you go ahead and click the link in the description box, i mean click the uh, the notification bell. Next to the subscribe button. That way, you can actually be notified. So with that being said, this is kind of i did not plan out this topic. Okay, i had something on my mind and i was like okay or i had an idea and i was like okay. Maybe we can talk about this and the topic is gon na, be, i guess tonight, we'll kind of discuss the change in the beauty standard, the change in the culture, not just the african american culture, but just the culture period, the instagram, aesthetic, the social media trends, Etc, because i know that y'all see it just as much as i do: okay, hey vivian! Thank you girl, so um, because this i don't really have a particular um format or sequence that i'm going to speak in today. We can just kind of chat, so maya watkins asks how i feel about all the naturals going back to relaxers. So i actually talked about this a few years ago. Y'All, like i just i knew this day would come and i knew this time would come, but it just seemed like it was never gon na happen. So i just i knew it was gon na happen, because the natural hair movement was so extreme that i knew that when it burst it was just going to completely bust. You know what i'm saying so: not only are people choosing to stray away from natural hair, but they're going like extreme with it, because the natural hair movement or the community operated in extreme. So i think it's just a natural um response to where we were in terms of pop culture and the beauty industry, and that actually has a little bit to do with what i'm going to be speaking on today. So, as y'all can see in the title um i put kim k's weight loss, tapings uh. What else did i put and and healthy hair the end of the era? Okay, because, just like she brought up the reality and first of all before i even get into it, y'all give me one second before i even get into this. Give me one second, okay, give me a second y'all. So, yes, i i feel, like the the whole thing we're witnessing right now with so many naturals choosing to not only you know, abandon the natural hair community and his practices, but also do the complete opposite of what so many people they're literally doing what they said. They wouldn't do. I think it's just a natural response to the natural hair movement being so limiting and extreme, but before we get into the topic i spent all day yesterday, not literally, but it took me hours recording an updated video for my hair okay. So, let's get into that okay, so that's going to be coming up eventually, but i know y'all see the improvement with my hair. I actually cut it yesterday too, and i cut it before my relaxer last week, so i'm still consistently trimming and, as you all can see, i'm continuing to retain length not only that, but the quality of my hair is improving. So that is something i'm super happy about what i'm super excited about and again another shameless plug. Okay, i can only give the credit to my hair care line of zara cosmetics. I'M telling y'all to revitalize treatment is where it is at. When you see this shine - and you wonder how i got this shine, but it ain't greasy - it's not stiff, it's all in the revitalized treatment from azara cosmetics formulated for all hair types. Okay, i have all kinds of customers using the product to have my brazilian client andre ellie she's, using it at home, also her sister's using it. Her sister has straight hair. She has curly hair works for both of them. Um literally works on all hair types. Okay, so if you haven't already make sure you click the link in the description box to get your azara cosmetics today and if you're wondering how you can achieve hair restoration from the comfort of your own home, make sure you click the link in the description box And enroll in growing team today now i want to mention this before i forget, so i told y'all just recently surpassed 3 000 subscribers right again, if you're just coming in here, if you're new to the channel. Thank you for subscribing, but in honor of us passing that milestone, i'm gon na do two things number one. I rarely do this. If ever honestly, i haven't done it in so long. I'M gon na put growing teen on sale for the next week. Okay, so that starts tomorrow till next, i think wednesday or thursday. I have to look you'll if you're on the the city, pretty newsletter, you're gon na get the specifics and also i'll post it on the website, but in honor of us past, surpassing 3 000 subs. The growing team challenge i'm going to go ahead and run a sale for those of y'all get a lot of college students reaching out and people. You know who really want to take the challenge, but they need a little bit of a little assistance. You know and and not understand, this is going to be the opportunity to do so, but not only that i am going to do a giveaway for azara cosmetics, but the thing is: if you want to participate in the giveaway i'm going to give away the wellness Bundle which is not only the revitalized treatment but also the scalp elixir. You have to also be included in the newsletter okay. So if you haven't already click the link in my description box and got in the free version of the five keys for success in your healthy hair journey guide, make sure you do that now because that's how you actually become a part of the newsletter okay. So this is the first giveaway i've done on this channel. I did a giveaway um on my old channel before when i got to like maybe 500 subscribers or something. But yes, i'm super excited, so y'all there's no excuses. If you've been wanting to try the product make sure you join the giveaway i'll, be releasing the details soon and um stay on the lookout for the uh, the growing teen sale, okay, so hi, lady nefertiti. She said what we, what we are seeing is like in the 80s, when black people fished the natural curly, bloss styles [, __, ], ditched hi, okay y'all. So what do y'all think about the things and and what do y'all think about the the the huge influx or just this movement, this revolution of naturals going relax? Okay, it's it's a very obvious trend. It is it it's giving natural hair movement like the early days. Nostalgia y'all remember when everybody was just going natural when everybody was big chopping, it's that same kind of sensation, just in the opposite direction, have y'all noticed it as well, and if so, what do you think obviously excuse me y'all, it's kind of like i wasn't expecting To be yawning, um, obviously y'all noticed it because she just brought it up but um. It'S definitely a thing and i think look. I brought me just a little bit: i'm not really a big um drinker, but i'm just gon na gon na sip a little wine. I think um, i don't really have any thoughts on it because, like i said already anticipated or expected this to happen, i think the biggest thing is that people should always just make sure they're doing what they want to do, because it's genuinely what they want to Do and the reason i say that is because just like i'm pulling up, let's go ahead and pull up kim kardashian. Okay, i don't know if y'all notice, i don't keep up with the kardashians, but the reality is you don't have to keep up with the kardashians to know about the kardashians, because the kardashians are the culture and i know so - everybody's not going to like when i Say that i'm not a kim kardashian fan for real, like when i was a kid around, like maybe 10 or 11, when keeping up with the kardashians initially came out. I used to love the show and i was obsessed with kendall and kylie, because you know they were my age, but they were buying puppies and getting cars and having playhouses and stuff so like i appreciated, or i enjoyed watching the lifestyle but um outside of that. Once i kind of got older and i became even more opinionated, i wasn't really into the kardashians because i at that time felt like they were. I don't want to say toxic, but that's essentially how so i felt like um. It was just the same way. A lot of people feel you know what i'm saying um now i'm in a place where i don't really have an opinion on the kardashians, i don't care, i don't. I don't have like a strong opinion like before i'll, be like. Oh this is this or kim kardashian is fake. Now it's just like. I don't really care, because at the end of the day, there's obvious uh, obviously no matter what people have to say about kim kardashian, there's, obviously a large space for her in society. So, regardless of what people are saying, obviously people love and appreciate the kardashians. You know what i'm saying so i think the thing with the kardashians is we love to hate them. You know what i'm saying and i'm not going to say i don't know, i just don't really care right, but with that being said, let me pull up these pictures for those of y'all who, maybe you haven't seen the the latest, like kim kardashian's latest transformation with Her weight right now kim kardashian, whether people like it or not, like i said, shapes a large part of the culture now i know a lot of people, especially you know those of you who may be more pro-black. You know you may have certain opinions like she can't shape the culture you know because she's, the culture appropriator or whatever, regardless to the fact whether she's all original, whether she's not like kim kardashian, influences the culture and the reason i say that is because this, like Of course it's not just kim kardashian, because in that era you also had nicki minaj and if y'all know anyone else, then you could drop your comments in the in the description box, but i feel like kim kardashian really pioneered the era we have today in the In the era i'm speaking of is the maybe the era of leveraging your sexuality. You know i'm using that, as maybe the biggest part of your marketing. I don't know because i'm not saying she's the only person to do that, but how many people have we seen. Try to imitate that same model since then you don't get what i'm saying and it's not even just limited to caucasian women, because i was on youtube when i was kind of exploring this topic a few days ago. Looking up um people who were having bbl reversals and um or just commentating their bbl experience and saying um speaking on some of the negative things that they've dealt with since getting the bbl and there was one there was a there were a few influencers. I came across who weren't black but um. They were like kim kardashian clones right, so i feel like regardless of where you look at in the culture. The point i'm making is that kim kardashian has shaped the culture. I believe she is largely responsible for the baby era, as well as people like nicki minaj, but um, just the whole plastic surgery. All of that i feel like that is very much kim kardashian-esque. Okay, especially when it pertains to um the butt okay, because people were already doing plastic surgery and stuff in the 90s, getting um boob jobs, getting those jobs. And things like that. But in terms of like having that big old butt and then the influencer kind of thing, i feel, like kim kardashian, definitely pioneered that so for someone like kim kardashian who influences and shapes the culture as much as she does to go from what she was before. You know very, i guess, high class, but still very hip-hop-esque to just very much slim. You know the 90s kind of look that is going to shape the culture dramatically, because how many of how many young women were inspired to go out and get these surgeries or become influencers and different things like that from kim kardashian. So the reason and i'm going to show her pictures we're going to kind of talk about it in a second but the reason i'm bringing up kim kardashian. This is not a gossip channel or anything like this. It'S not a plastic surgery channel, but this is a health and beauty channel. Okay, the same way, i feel like kim kardashian - or she asked me - she specifically asked me: how do i feel about all these naturals going back to relaxers? It'S the same way, i feel about kim kardashian going from extremely thick to now. Skinny right, the culture is always going to swing right, so anytime things are operating in an extreme. It'S always going to go back normal and that's why i always try to tell my clients. I know some people think i'm a prude or you know you don't ever want to have fun or you just negative is because when it comes to altering your body or you know doing things that actually have long-term consequences and long-term ramifications when it comes to beauty, You got ta watch what trends you follow because everybody don't have kardashian money, everybody can't just do a bbl reversal as i was looking on the youtube set like i was looking in youtube about. You know, plastic surgery, regrets and things like that. I remember in one of the comments sections the lady was saying how much she and if i'm like, i'm laughing but ain't, nothing funny. Okay, i'm full and my stomach, just like you know when you're so full and you just you you like dang. I shouldn't eat that much so when i'm like it's, like goodness, gracious i'm trying to release some tension in my my stomach so anyway was reading the comments in this video. If you're just coming in here, please give the video a like y'all. If you're, one of the newer subscribers who just joined since we surpassed 3 000 and shout out to you, say hello in the chat, introduce yourself, okay, um so was reading the comments, and one lady in particular, commented and said how much she regretted her boob job. Because she was experiencing boob job or breast augmentation sickness, or what do they call a silicone stick some kind of word where a lot of people have stated that ever since getting breast implants they've experienced all of these other bad symptoms right. But what she was saying was she couldn't afford to get them removed right, so she basically got these boobs and now she's dealing with all of the sickness, but she can't even reverse her surgery because she does not have the money. This is why i'm so big when it comes to my clients, especially being that specializes in extensions, i have seen the long-term effects and the long-term consequences of women improperly using extensions, and you know sometimes following certain trends, either too early and when i say too early, I am of the belief you never want to be a part of that first wave of people following trends. I don't care if it's plastic surgery, if it's havana twist, you know just different things like that, because i am of the belief. The the wise thing to do is to give things a minute to kind of sit, because as techniques and new trends and things technologies emerge, people are going to tweak it and get better. Why be a part of the experimental phase of everything? Okay, that is the downside of being someone who is so obsessed with following trends: okay, so i've seen that so many times in a salon, especially when it comes to extensions. You know maybe there's a big trend out, for example, tape, ins, for example, the wigs number one, whether it's plastic surgery, whether it's extensions. You want to make sure that, like certain things i always say - and i have older videos - i'm gon na y'all see i'll be releasing all my other videos re-releasing them, but i always tell people. This is why i have been including consultations in my services. For the last four years, it's like not even an option that that's not even with an appointment on the books. You have to have a consultation and it's not no quick hello. Let me hi hi, it's not that, like we're really going to get into the nitty-gritty. We need to make sure you can actually sustain this style because i've, i always tell people you got ta pay to play when it comes to extensions. When it comes to plastic surgeries. Not only do you need to be considering the upfront cost of these things, but you also have to consider the maintenance. Can you realistically deal with the maintenance in an event like this lady said right where she went and she got these this breast augmentation now she's experiencing this sickness due to this breast augmentation, but unfortunately, due to the change in her soci her economic status, she can't Even afford to remove these things that she probably followed just to be trendy, and now it's actually taking a toll on her health. I can't tell you how many times i've seen that even with extensions or chemical processing, that's why i personally chose to stick with a relaxer instead of going with the japanese thermal reconditioning, because i did not want to you know, have any chemical process or add anything To my beauty, regimen that i could not handle that's, why at this moment, as much as it irritates me sometimes to have to grow out my hair in between waxes, you know it might not be the most realistic for me at this time to get laser hair Removal, because from what i've briefly researched, it's going to take several sessions across a long long stretch of time or a fairly long stretch of time, and i need to make sure i can keep up with that. You know i'm saying when you are considering beauty treatments. You you can't just look at the upfront cost. You have to also look at the maintenance. You also have to consider if this was to go wrong. Do i have the means to you know counteract that? To do i have. The means to you know fix this. If need be so the thing is, everybody wants the beyonce treatment. Everybody wants the kardashian treatment, especially with social media right, because social media is like before i feel like with the the old school media. You have magazines, you have tip television, i feel, like the average person had enough common sense to know that, just because beyonce lives in a luxury high rise and drives a luxury car and lives a luxury life in vacations every month. You know the average person had enough common sense to know beyonce can afford to do that. Not only hopefully she has the money because of course you know we now know all celebrities are not rich as they look, but they also have sponsorships. They have so many different things same things with influencers. They have sponsorships, you know, there's so many different things that go into it. I feel like before the social media thing really took off the average person understood that this is for beyonce, i'm not beyonce, but now we live in this culture, where everybody feels entitled to the beyonce lifestyle. If you want more out of life, i think you should strive for more, like there's nothing wrong with that. As far as we, we know, you only get one life right, but you got to be realistic too, about where you are just because kim kardashian, the the one one of the biggest trim trend setters of our times, and even though a lot of us may not Like this or or when we say it, kim kardashian is an icon, you know if you really think about what an icon is and she definitely impacts the culture. She definitely is the icon in our time, kim kardashian can afford to get all these surgeries and then, as soon as the culture shifts reverse them all. You are not kim kardashian and when i say you i'm talking to whoever this applies, maybe you are kim kardashian. Some of y'all got it like that, but the point is most of y'all ain't kim kardashian. So now it's weird because what kim kardashian just did with this personally, i'm i don't all that body shaming and all that if y'all know anything about my channel y'all know. I am not politically correct, and - and quite frankly don't you - you could come on here with that, if you want to with all that political correctness and your body's, shaming and you're transphobic go and look at all the detransitioning videos coming out right now of people literally Crying saying, oh my gosh, nobody told me the truth now i can't do this now. I can't do that. Everybody was just encouraging me and i didn't think about the consequence. That'S what political correctness gets. People, political correctness, gets these videos of people talking about their sister passed away during a bbl. So no okay, we're not doing that on this channel. Okay, but i am going to give my honest opinion and i know a lot of people disagree and that's your business personally, i like this - i don't even like i'm literally kim kardashian's. Recent transformation took me from not really i didn't like kim kardashian. I liked her when i was little and then in recent years i just didn't really care, i just it was just what it was right, but this new version of kim kardashian, i like it, i really like it like in terms of aesthetically. I feel like this weight loss fits her so much better and it's not even just the weight loss like people got to understand when i say weight loss. I'M talking about fitness understand that the only reason kim kardashian well, i don't know the logistics okay, some of y'all are really educated on plastic surgery. Some of y'all know things. I don't know. Okay and - and i will admit i will admit that - i'm not i'm still. I love dream: michelle love her. I'Ve literally been loving dreams, since she was on basketball, wives. Literally, if you ask me, i didn't think drea had any plastic surgery until maybe now i'm like okay, i guess i could see it. You know - and this is allegedly it's people coming out the woodwork saying uh lori harvey so when it comes to plastic surgery, unless it's just very obvious and ridiculous i'll, be the first to admit. I'M not very versatile that some of y'all really know about this stuff, and i honestly don't okay but kim kardashian looks good because she went from she's she's fit now it's not even about oh she's skinny she's fit. She has muscle tone. She just looks right and what i mean by that is this like, and i was telling somebody this in in, i feel, like the person was a little bit upset, but i am, i feel, like the reason bbls at large look somewhat. They just look interesting right and the reason a person like dre. Michelle could confound me to the point where i'm like no drano got no blah versus all these. Other instagram models is because you got to understand this and a lot of people don't understand fitness right. It'S the same way that like when i'm when i'm picking in extensions for my clients, i don't create client styles for my clients based on trends, i try to incorporate some level of modern style, but what i really seek to do with each of my clients is Enhance them, you know, so i'm considering what do what does that person eyebrows? Look like what does their edges like i'm, not just looking at what's popular, what's the popular hair company, etc, i'm looking at what's going to suit this person best, i believe the reason like a laurie harvey or drea people could come out and claim that they have Surgery, maybe they do maybe they don't. I don't know, and somebody like kim kardashian, i'm like oh, she definitely got it or one of these instagram models is because for your waist to be that snatch for your waist to be that small and for you not to have any muscle tone or definition. It doesn't make sense for your frontal to be that sleek and baby hair like, but for your lashes to be curly and your eyebrows to be curly. It doesn't make sense. So that's why somebody like kim zolciak or one of the many non-black women who wear wigs and lace fronts. It looks like their hair because it's matching it matches their eyebrows. It matches their lashes, these things on the subconscious level, believe it or not. They matter when it comes to beauty. This is just i'm giving y'all a little game. Maybe it's not scientifically proven, but it works for me, what i mean is i brought i recently bought a new foundation and i loved the finish of this foundation. The foundation was like 69 i'll, go ahead and tell y'all it's the gucci foundation. When i originally tried it on, i don't wear foundations ever y'all have never seen me wear foundation on this. The only time i've worn foundation on this channel was that disgusting fenty beauty foundation. I had - i don't know i just didn't like i don't. I hate matte makeup, first and foremost, number one and for two was too light um, but that's on the video. If you scroll all the way down - and i talk about gina curl right, but earlier this year i went to sephora and i went to sephora because i wanted to treat myself get some new makeup, etc, right, so the sales rep it was a guy. He was, i told him what i wanted. He was like girl. You got to try this new gucci foundation right, so i tried a foundation and i i just loved it like i loved it, because i don't like the makeup. Look. I don't like i like to look made up, but i don't like to look faked up. You see what i'm saying and i find that so common with a lot of makeup, especially in this era. We just got out of so loved loved loved it. At that moment i was like i'm gon na come back for it, because my my cart was literally like 300, something dollars, and i wasn't intending to buy that. I was really there to buy clothes that day at the mall, but i was like okay, i'm gon na come back, so i went back literally like maybe four weeks ago to get the foundation y'all went in grab. Everything got my nars blush restocked. On my my concealer, everything like was ready, tried the foundation on you know. Sephora is really dark. I don't understand why it's so dark in there for a makeup store, but at face value it looked like. It was my shade because i have forgot the shade that i was supposed to be getting and the man didn't work there. No more so i just picked up a shade and when i got home i was just like. If y'all noticed the video i did where i talked about um how to maintain your leave out ceramic versus uh titanium plates, i had the foundation on in that video. Now i did have one too much, but the foundation like as much as i loved the finish it just looked weird and i just could not put my. I couldn't put my finger on why it looked too weird or why it looks so weird. So i tried to put it on today and i was gon na wear it for this video. I said: no, i'm not settling for this like white, i don't care, wipe it off, take it off and just redo it i couldn't get with it. So i came to the conclusion today: the foundation is too dark and - and that's always been my issue - it's like either the foundations are always too light or too dark. It'S like i have yet to find the perfect shade, and i'm at the point where i'm like. I'M gon na give it one more shot to go. Look for a shade, if i don't find it, i'm done with foundation literally because i've been going through this for the longest, the foundation, even though the finish of the foundation was really nice. It is so skin like and so subtle just that shade being off it just looked weird, it's also really warm, i'm assuming maybe i'm more neutral, but it just had me looking like green or something i can't describe it, and you know what was the giveaway. Obviously, you can see your undertones, but of course it's going to be my ears. You know the skin around it just wasn't working so right now what y'all are looking at is i just. I found that just using concealer is enough for me, so the concealer i have one the big the more of the base, because i want to it's darker too, but it's not off like that. That gucci one is was just off this one is just i feel like the undertone is good. It'S just dark that one. It'S just it just looks really weird okay, so this one, even though you you just can't really tell because it's not super off the reason i brought. That up is because i feel like if you want to get the most out of plastics and i'm not an applied surgery expert. So please don't come over here. Trying to hold me liable, i'm just giving my opinion i feel like when it comes to beauty when it comes to fashion when it comes to whatever fitness. I just feel like the best way to benefit from all these different tools that we've been given is to work to enhance what you have okay, because all of these subtle cues, like i said your eyebrows, your all these different things like that's. What makes stuff look believable and compliments you does that make sense. So even like with the plastic surgery, i know i just went all i'ma bring it in i'ma bring it in. I feel like the reason someone like drea or lori harvey i'm. Not it's, i'm not! That invested, so i'm not about to argue with nobody about it, but the reason i'm going to double back and say: does tran really have surgery? Does lord have really because they're fit? The reality is, if your waist is that small, as a lot of these bbl chicks in real life as a natural body, you're gon na have muscle tone and definition as well, the smaller i've gotten throughout my fitness journey and when i say smaller. Yes, i'm talking about inches, but i'm also talking about you know, body recomposition or whatever they call it. The more my muscle to fat ratio improves the more tone. I look right if you're going to get a bbl, because i recently i have found this is. I have somebody who was kind of like in the heated discussion about this. That'S the day i learned about the ab etching. I guess people getting fake abs too. If you don't get a bbl, get the fake abs too then get in the gym, because if lori harvey andrea really got baby, i wouldn't even know it because they're not over here being lazy and only trying to fix one part of their body. They didn't work on the whole body to the point where i don't really know, and quite frankly, i don't give a god. I don't care because they look good as a whole. This is no shade. I didn't know who lori harvey was until about nine months ago, and i definitely didn't know that she was heavier before because i didn't, i didn't know who she was. If lori harvey had went and i'm not even gon na pull up her pictures. Y'All, probably are more familiar with her than i am if lori harvey were to go from where she was before and go and get a bb on that old body. People would probably be saying stuff because again your arms, your neck, your face your ankles. Everything is going to tell the truth and point to the fact that their waist do not make sense, because even a girl that's larger, but she still has an hourglass figure. Yeah her waist might be small small, but it's gon na be some rolls on there. You know what i'm saying: that's, how natural look work natural looks. Work so said that to say i believe that kim kardashian i feel like i'm all y'all y'all keeping up with me. I'M gon na read the comments in a second. The reason i think, kim kardashian looks great in khloe kardashian. I think they look great now. I know some people have this idea. A lot of people come from toxic cultures, okay and i'm not even gon na get specific. If you come from a toxic culture that thinks smothered, cabbage is healthy vegetables. You know what i'm talking about. Some people automatically think just because people fit that they look sick. So, of course, you're gon na have them people, but that's because some people, some people's perception, is so skewed that they're so far away from normal that it's like it to them. It'S like, oh, that person looks sick. How many of y'all have y'all been on your weight-loss journey? You you heard people, oh you, look, sick or you've heard somebody, you know somebody lost weight and, and now they look sick now there are cases where i've seen people lose weight and i'm like they do. Look sick and i'm not even getting to know specifics because well, no, i am going into specifics because we're going to keep it real here and i believe this conversation has a place too, because essentially, what i'm saying is when it comes to overall beauty y'all. I just don't think it makes sense to pick and choose because when you pick and choose and and dibble and dab instead of trying to just grow up as a whole, things always look strange. I'M going to keep it real and you know this is not to shame anybody. If this is the decision you made is fine, that's your business, but i i noticed a lot of times that people who get weight, loss surgeries and i'm not saying everybody, i'm just saying in my experience i i noticed that a lot of people who would get Those weight loss surgeries where they i don't know what the logistics it are, so i'm not even going to get into it, but i noticed that those people that those are times when i have seen certain people who lose weight and i'm like they do look sick. I'M keep it above 50 with you now, i'm not a medical expert. I'M going to assume it's because i had no idea that when people get certain weight loss surgeries, their calor, their caloric intake is literally limited to like 500 calories a day. I'M gon na assume it might look like that because, while they may have lost the weight, they can't eat the amount of calories they need, because you know we live in this diet, culture that tries to brainwash us and tell us that, in order to be healthier, We need to eat less, but the reality is we need to eat less bad stuff. You can still eat a submission, sufficient amount of calories as long as you're eating good food. You know what i'm saying. So it's crazy because, like the quick fix culture is just like. Oh just just stop eating just run endless amounts of cardio just get this surgery and it's like, but this person is still not able to get the nutrients they need and it shows it shows in your skin. It shows in different things like that, so i'm not gon na say i've never seen nobody lose weight and look crazy or you know what i'm saying look sick, but i just can't stand when people say that, like when a person gets in shape now i've seen No i'm not gon na lie, though i have seen it. I have seen people like even at the gym, i'm not even gon na lie. I have seen people now that i think about. I have seen like certain cultures. Every culture is different. Okay, so i have seen in certain cultures, you know, finn is really um. Obviously the standard - and i have seen people be like scarily, and this is not body. Shame - and this is just opinion like people be so i'm not gon na say that doesn't exist. I'M just saying i can't stand when somebody like you know kim kardashian or lori harvey or somebody comes out, and you know they they're cleaning up their diet, they're exercising and now everybody. Oh, this person looks sick. I personally think kim kardashian looks amazing. I personally personally do, and this is from somebody who don't even really, i don't even like kim kardashian like that. I'M not saying i don't like her. I just don't you know it. I don't really care. I think she looks good and i think she looks good because it's not about just i'ma, get this little waist and get a fat fake, booty, that's high, but everything else is sagging i'ma work on my entire being and now it's working, that's my opinion. So let me read, let me read y'all's comments and then we'll get into it. Let me see, let me see, let me see, let me see and then we'll get into it. Oh, this food need to digest. Okay, she said kim kardashian, whether we like it or not, is a big influence and kim is not just influential justin us, but yeah kim kardashian is in she said the slim thick era right so kim kardashian like, and it's not just her, of course, but i'm Just gon na use her as an example kim kardashian just entered in a whole. She just ushered in a whole new era and that's the era of fitness, healthy, hair, healthy skin, healthy, real nails, that's the new arrow in and it's so sad because some people jump the gun too. Quick on the last trends from the last era, to the point where some people have no edges anymore from lace fronts, some people have jumped on the bbl trend, can't stand it but can't afford to reverse it, and it's like. Essentially, what i'm saying is: y'all even going back to the natural to relax that this is why i just don't believe in being a trained follower. I don't, i don't think, there's anything wrong with being current and aware of the times, but this is what i hate about trends. One day this is hot and then the next day is this: it's like every time the trends change they always swing in the polar opposite direction and, in my opinion i feel like the best way to go about it. Is you you see the times and you take what you want and you keep it pushing, but i don't think i'm not going to tell y'all what to do. People are going to do what they want to do. Why swing you know and just be carried away when you could just develop a healthier sense of self and then you dictate and you choose what you're going to take from each era, and you just keep it pushing, because i feel like when you're following trends. You'Re constantly relying on the culture to validate you, but what happens when you're, not in no more, even with the natural hair movement, i literally see people in all the relaxed hair relaxed to natural or natural to relax videos. Oh, i'm so sad that this is over blah blah blah can't believe it. You are only sad because you needed the culture to validate you in your hair. You don't it don't sound like you really love your hair, you just appreciated being the preference or being the standard in that moment. That'S why now that the conversation is changing, and now the topic is on relaxed hair you're, not the it girl, no more! You feel it away. That'S a weak minded individual. So, instead of just being so, instead of needing everybody and needing everything to validate you work on yourself, you know observe, what's going on and pick and choose what you like and carve out your own way. You know what i'm saying. I just think that makes the most sense now, if you just got to be on top of every trend, make sure you got the every trend money like kim kardashian, and that's all i'm saying, because when you sit there and you try to be that girl, you You sit there and you try to you know you didn't win from boss, [ __ ] era. To now it's soft life to then the feminine. You can't keep up you. You went your house. Was this way now you got to change all your decor. Now you got ta, that's what happens when people get caught up in all these aesthetics, and you know cultural trends. It'S like you constantly got ta keep changing stuff. I don't have time for it. This is exactly why i created the growing teen challenge for y'all growing teenage built off of trends and hear saying, what's popping in that moment, is based on the fundamental pillars, the fundamental truths of hair and regardless of what's going on in the culture. This regiment and this program gon na stay true time and time again, because it's based on the truth is based on the fundamental science of hair. So y'all make sure if you haven't already click the link in description box get the um free version of the five keys guys. So you can be a part of the mailing list and know when the growing team sale is gon. Na start is gon na run from about a week, okay, to celebrate us surpassing 3 000 subscribers. But are you tired of being carried away and going with the wind and up and down all these different hair trends? It'S time that you take the time to educate yourself on the fundamentals girl, because then you don't have to be changing with the time my regimen ain't change. The only difference is i'm relaxed now, but my regimen has literally been the same since um 2017.. The only difference is as i've gotten as i. My situation has improved the quality of products that i use has improved. That'S why, in the growing teen challenge, i include a sliding scale of products: okay, everything from lower end quality products to higher in quality products, because that's really the only thing that should change your hair journey is the quality of things that you're using. But as far as the core fundamentals and truth, they say the same. I started this regimen using shea butter african black soap and olive oil. Literally those were the only things i started. I was broke, that's all i had access to it worked it got me, it helped me achieve a basic result. Was it the best? No, but it still helped me and held me together in that moment, as i increased, so did the quality of my products. That is the only thing that realistically needs to change when you're dealing with the truth. Okay. Okay, let me read some more of these comments. Alexandra said she was getting tired of the whole big, but everything the whole big butt thing. She said it is scientific. That is why certain hair colors don't match certain undertones brow shape, look different on different people etc, and that's the problem, like literally i've, seen that with people like i will there is nothing wrong with being inspired. Okay for me personally, my role models have either always had similarities or my people. I look to for inspiration, but don't get me wrong. There are other attributes and things that i will appreciate in women who don't match me at all, but when it comes to me making beauty choices, i'm going to stick within people who, realistically we got some similarities. Okay, i'm going to stick to people who got a long nose. Like me, people who got you know fake hair. Like me, people who have the same complexion as me or somewhere in my you know, i'm not going to place people who are just completely different from me as my beauty standard, because, realistically what i've seen in at least what i observed, there's nothing wrong with having Inspirations, but i feel like when you choose people and a lot of people do this based on what's popular, i don't do that. I'Ve never been that one, but when you sit there and you try to idolize or model someone who has nothing in common with you, you end up looking you end up with a little kim result, i'm not trying to be funny or anything like that. It leads it, that's how people end up. I don't think, there's anything really inherently wrong with cosmetic surgery. You know, i think it all comes down to your intent. Why are you doing it? What is your goal? You know as long as you for for me, it makes more sense to you've worked out a lot of people say well, i did it because exercise wasn't working. No, you didn't know how to exercise properly. Okay, because some some people still believe this lie that in order to lose weight whatever you got to sit there and be on the treadmill for an hour and 30 minutes or you know, you can't eat a lot of people, believe that and that's not reality right. So suppose you are you're trying to change your fitness and stuff you're doing it naturally, and you've achieved your dream body and you're like you know what i think i want to go in and get this cool and because you're not operating from a place of well. I would hope you're not operating from a place of hate you're operating from a place of i just i like where i'm at, and i just want to make minor changes. I know a girl right now, she's, so beautiful and she personally haven't she. I know her in real life um. She is so beautiful to me and we have she's like the same complexion as me. She has the her hair is looser than mine, but we have the same dark, hair um. We have the same body type but like she, her body is bomb body is bomb and after she like has accomplished her dream body. She went and got a boob job and i'm not mad at her because she was making her choices from a more rounded perspective. Right, i feel like what you see and don't like in yourself, for example, i'll be completely transparent um when the pandemic hit. I like many people, i gained a lot of weight. I gained a lot of um excess weight in 2020 and um. I literally thought i literally remember thinking to myself and looking at myself, like oh my gosh, i'm not cute anymore, and what i realized was. I had just gained a lot of weight and the the weight that i gained was distorting my face. So you'll find like once you start improving all these different areas of life. Maybe you have a skin issue right and maybe it's dietary related. So your skin is not how you want it to be you'll. Find that improving your diet might there's a high chance that it's going to improve your skin and you don't have the same desire to go and do all this crazy stuff. Once you improve your skin, so i think there's a place for cosmetic surgeries for people who want them um, but i think doing the other work on yourself and then making the choice might lead to more sustainable results, because you might really be unhappy with yourself right Now but you're unhappy with yourself because you're not in a you're, not in a high place, you're in a very low place. You know and as you dig yourself at that place, i'll tell you all this i'll be i'll, be completely real. When i was a kid, i never had a problem with my nose because all one side of my family, we all got the same long hooked nose right. But when i started going to school, certain kids was making fun of my nose and now i'm like. Oh my gosh, i hate my nose and as i stop as i move down that area as i stop being around those kids, i didn't care no more now i love my nose so before i literally remember being a kid like, oh, i can't wait to turn 18, i'm gon na get a nose job. It don't even bother me my teeth, a lot of people that people always got something to say about my teeth: they've, never really bothered me. I mean when i was a kid i used to. Oh my gosh. I want to get braces, but they never really bother me like they bother other people. That'S your problem. My teeth. Ain'T really bother me, but now that i'm in this place i'm not opposed to getting my teeth straight and it's not because, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, they said my teeth was like. I got ta get my teeth cause i feel like when you operate from that place, and this is why i created the five keys guys the full version of five keys guide. I talk about stuff like this, like body, um body, uh image and different things like that, because i'm telling you, when you i've i've i've experienced body dysmorphia before i've. I i've had. You know gender this for, like i've, experienced these different things i feel like. These are things that happen in our culture, especially when you are a child going to school elementary to high school, like people are mean - and i don't think these are thoughts. These aren't our own thoughts. These are thoughts we internalize from other people. So that's why, like for what i, what i tell y'all when it comes to this hair stuff? This is why i created the five keys guy, like literally, and the reason i created it is because it don't matter what what you do with your hair. It doesn't matter what products you buy with until you correct your mental. That'S why some of y'all y'all going to the top stylist thinking it's going to fix your thing. You bought the top products, it still don't work. Believe it or not. A lot of this stuff is a mind issue. So that's why i tell y'all before you even get growing team. If you got the growing teen challenge, i've never publicly said this, but for a long time i was giving away the full version of five keys, guys free with the guaranteed challenge. It'S not free anymore, but it's still discounted because the reality is. You can't really benefit from that information if you have all of these conflicting and underlying issues and views of your hair. If you hate your hair, if you don't like your hair, so for me ever the information i give y'all like literally i've gone through this journey, myself um, i didn't really have. I really didn't have a dislike for my hair, because i was i i was raised decently um. My mom always was real big on body image or you know telling me i'm beautiful my hair, you know and like for me. I have a lot of biracial cousins. Um i luckily i didn't really develop a complex with my hair, because my mom always told me, i'm beautiful, told me she loved my hair, all my barbie dolls, a lot of my barbie dolls. Honestly, they were not. They were darker than me whatever, but i always have barbie dolls with similar features as me, etc. I had one doll my mom gave me was a barbie doll was christy and she was a dark scene doll. She had um, she didn't have an afro, but she had like kinky straight hair. I love that doll. Her name was it christy yeah. I call her christy and she had a little blue dress. I got a picture with christy too, but and i and it's so funny, because i had that doll for the longest time, because i was like looking at some of my old photos. I don't think i that doll. I don't think i got rid of adults. I was like five, but i literally had that doll since i was like maybe eight months like, but those are the subtle things um and i think this is really a parental thing. Y'All know i don't try to go deep on this channel, but it's just it's just gon na inevitably happen. I think if you have children, i think these are really important things like things my mom did for me. I didn't really have a complex with my hair. What i did have was um in terms of didn't, like my hair. What i more so dealt with was not knowing how to do my hair and my mom didn't know how to do it either. She didn't mind getting it done like clockwork, but that was the issue of not understanding my hair right. So that was not a a tough barrier. For me to break through is is accepting my hair, some people that might be your issue. Everybody'S gon na have different blockages, but i find that when a lot of us make these decisions like cosmetics, whatever i feel like a lot of people make decisions, not because that's how they feel. But that's what they've internalized through different societal experiences, programming and stuff. Like that - and you know i know - we live in this era of we're going to tear down this, and these people embody positive. The reality is y'all nobody's responsible for validating you and telling you you're beautiful, but you nobody has to think you're beautiful. Nobody has to tell you you're beautiful, but you and a lot of people keep trying to place that responsibility on everybody else. Oh my gosh colorism and all these different things you sitting up here, chasing all these isms and trying to dismantle all these system. Girls, you gon na, be doing this to the day you die because these same isms that existed, then they gon, they're gon na always exist. That'S why i put up the post the other day about the whole gray hair thing, because the gray hair thing is the same. It'S literally, it's always a new movement, there's always a new ism and what i try to tell people is: stop giving these movements and stuff y'all energy, because in 10 years, just like the natural hair movement, just like black lives matter, just like the trans movement, just

Tuan Tran - Fitness Coach: Hello! ☺️ I like seeing the work ethic and focus you have on your weight loss journey! Keep inspiring! New buddy to your channel! Let us get big together!

Tanya Pollar: I never jumped on the natural hair trend. I have been relaxed since I was 13-14 years old. And everyone in my family went natural and will get on me for being relaxed. I’m happy they are national but it wasn’t for me. I’ve never relaxed my daughter because her hair texture wouldn’t be able to take it. She doesn’t have enough texture in it. And I have what they would call 4b 4c hair.

Christie Weber: Basically do what works for you! Lori Harvey is a great example of dressing classic but adding certain popular trends that suits her! The most stand out message: FIND YOUR OWN IDENTITY! People are followers that’s why they chase after trends! I’ve always liked my own style and my own identity and I would see other girls trying to copy my style also. When I get asked oh how you put that together..I’m like I just do my own thing that’s the secret!! Kim is an icon but pro black people will never admit it! I think she is a universal influencer who set the trends for all races of women honestly. Also let’s address how the black community promotes overweight “thick bodies” it’s unhealthy and can cause long term health problems. I’m on a weight lost journey to lose 20 lbs to get back to my slim thick body. I’m still fit but according to my BMI I’m overweight for my age and size plus I’m petite so I don’t need to be “thick”. Some people look at me crazy but that shit is unhealthy and I fill fat even though I’m not .

OFCL.: I hear you!
