Welcome back to my bathroom Henry's with us again today for playtime he'll just be in and out don't mind him today we're cleaning our brushes together, all right so before we get into it, make sure you subscribe and like I'm here for you every single week on Sundays, at 1pm Eastern time, can you not step one is to get all the hair out. The easiest way to do this is to take a rat tail or pintail comb and just get the hair out like this with a little tail. They make tools that look like this. This is by wet brush that you stab into it to get the hair out I'll link it below if you're interested, but really you just need a rat toe comb. You can also just rub two brushes together. However, you want to do it. You need to get all this hair out. Some of mine have lint in them. It gets caught in a little Pinhead of the bristle. You can take a sheet from a lint roller and go in between the bristles. You can also use tweezers if they're tough to get out because they start wrapping around sometimes I'll. Take the vacuum and suction it out. Lint part can be a little tedious, but it's a necessary step because in this lint and dirt and hair traps in all that oil dust residue product, buildup and you're constantly putting it back on your head. So cleaning your brushes is really important, not just to be clean, especially if you're in between clients like using this on someone else in a salon setting, but even at home. You don't want to continually add debris to your hair. Your scalp much like you, would clean your makeup brushes. You should be cleaning your brushes, often as well, probably the dirtiest one you can see in the cushion pad. It is gross very bad. This one has those little lint balls also much better. Now we need to clean them, we're going to clean them and then disinfect them. So when we're cleaning them we're just using some sort of soap, if you're in a salon setting you're, probably going to use a product similar to this ship shape, it's a powder, you just dilute this with water uh we're in the bathroom today. So we're going to be using soap, really any kind of soap Dawn. I use Castile. How do you say that I don't know Castillo this soap? You can also use shampoo, a clarifying shampoo. It really doesn't matter. You just need something to clean this. I use this little bucket if you're in a salon setting you can use the shampoo bowl or the sink. My bathroom sink, stopper doesn't work, warm water, so face down, goes the brush and I'm just taking this nail brush from the Dollar Tree and cleaning. It super good to get all those little lint pieces out that I missed any kind of product. This is a boar, bristle brush. It'S going to be fine, it's a wet brush, so it's not like a higher end or bristle brush. If you have a really expensive brush, you may want to be a little bit more careful with it. Look how gross this one is. This is the one I use for wet styling when my hair is wet I'll, put gel on it and Slick it back or do different hairstyles, and you can literally see when I scrape my nail against it all the build up product. That'S just living and swimming with bacteria, I'm sure ew clips from the last time I colored my hair open these little guys up scrub their bellies and we're just going to let these set face down for about 10 minutes. Same thing applies: if you're using this ship shape should be submerged about 10 minutes. It'S been 10 minutes. Here'S our water dirty, I'm gon na go through and rinse all the brushes and combs with warm water. Now we're going to sanitize these kill all the bacteria floating germs, Etc off these tools, if you're in a salon setting you're using barbicide, which should always be at your station in the barbicide jar, this is a little pricey. It runs about twenty dollars. For the 64 fluid ounces, but you do dilute it with water. You can absolutely use this at home. I just use alcohol because it's cheaper dilute it down. You can also use bleach in a spray bottle. This is from the Dollar Tree warm water, with some alcohol eyeball method that looks great towel. This is a hair color towel. So it's not. I mean it's clean, but it doesn't look clean back in the bucket and we're gon na spray. It me I'm gon na spray, it a lot. I really like the smell of rubbing alcohol. You have to be mindful of your brush. I'Ve done this before with alcohol on this boar bristle brush, and it doesn't do anything to the actual brushes or the coating plastic of the brush. This, for example, this brush cleaner, is from Wet Brush and it has some sort of coating there's hair everywhere. It had some sort of coating on it and when I used alcohol on it last time to clean it scraped it off and turned it to this mushy whatever. So you just have to be careful with some of these the little Clips inside and these are going to sit with the alcohol bleach baking soda. Whatever you choose to put on it, you can also dilute this in a spray bottle and spray barbicide on it. For 10 minutes, if you're submerging them it's about 10 minutes for the salon as well, now we're going to go through and rinse them again with warm water. Some of these, like my favorite brush here, will dry with a towel, but this brush, which looks a lot better by the way, take a look at that is a paddle brush and it has a foam on the inside. When you push down there's a gap here, or it creates like a poop like a pillow for water to seep through mine, is also missing several little bristles, because I've overused it and so water can get through there when water sits, as we know, mold and bacteria Can grow so I just blow dry any type of brush with a cushion to make sure that it does not have any bacteria and mold get inside much better and the rest of this I'll. Just let this air dry so yeah, that's it pretty simple! Just getting the hair out cleaning then disinfecting or sanitizing and ta-da next week I'll see you back here on Sunday. I believe we're doing some more hair color to continue on the hair color series. Until then, I hope you have a great week, and I will see you next time for something cool something cool la la

j. Chase-Russel: I’ll never look at hair clippies the same again, especially when “scrubbing their bellies” Thanks for all the info Brittnee! That was cool.

allkindsamusicchick: Always informative and so adorable. No wonder, you've got so many subscribers! Rock on Brittnee!

Niko: Cleaned my brush a while back, it had gotten so gross, haha. A tip I saw somewhere for removing that stubborn lint is to first soak the brush in some water mixed with shampoo. It apparently helps loosen it up and some of it comes off without you having to do anything. Whatever is left, you can just get off easily with a q-tip.

Dalena Mullins: This is good info for everyone! I have always done the first step. But rarely the washing and never sanitizing.

Jessica Swisshelm: I really needed this I have the same wet brest with boar hair. It's so dirty but I had no idea how to clean it. Thanks so much your awesome.

Mother of Dragons: Brittnee love your videos. BTW, your nails always look so perfect. Do you do them yourself?

starsunmoon: Awesome ! I got all the hair out my brushes, but time to clean em ! Thanxs for reminder .. I use peppermint Castile soap and I also have used vinager as my disinfectant. Gonna try the rubbing alcohol ! It will def dry faster : ))

#cute 💐 challenger 100: I have an addiction to hair brushes! It's so satisfying when I clean them.

Anna L: Thanks Brittnee. My brushes were nas-tay!

N. Tulin Tacettin: Thank you things I never knew. I always leave mine in the shower so basically I never brush my hair. Do I have to do what you said or is it considered clean as I just use it at the end of my shower?

Melanie Kemp: Ur hair is beautiful. The blonde is beautiful. What tool did you use for curling, waving ur hair? It's so nice and perfect.

Jo Jo: I always used shampoo...but you know...dawn would really cut some oil if you had oily hair or...like me and use moroccan oils on my hair...hmmmm. Good content Brittnee.

Kandice Simmons: That was kinda boring… lol, sorry! I just replace mine when they start to look bad. Have a great week!

Micki H: Squirrel!

asd asd: ❤Only for fans over 18 year⤵️ Alles sehr schön. Aber zuerst zusammen die Nummern 10 und 1. Eine pas3600.Online Brünette und eine andere Blondine. Es wäre unfair, wenns ich 4 wählen würde
