Hey y'all and welcome back to another video in today's video. I wanted to discuss some things that I do not like about relaxed hair. If you guys watch my video by the time this one comes out, I think it will be last week or this week's video um, where I talked about all the reasons why I would never ever ever go natural ever again. Well, today, I'm gon na share some things that I do not like about relaxed hair. Let me just say I do enjoy being a relaxed hair, girly and my heart still stands the same. I'M not changing my mind. However, there are a few things that I strongly dislike about being relaxed and let's go ahead and get into those things. So the first thing that I hate well, let me not say hey, that's a very strong word. Let me not say hey that I do not like about being a relaxed hair. Girly is the fact that there are so many things that can go wrong with relaxed hair honey Ray Charles can see ass whooping, I don't even know where I'm gon na start with this point, because there's there's so many things that even just go into this. So let me start off by saying um you could be. You could accidentally over process your hair, that's a problem. You could under process your hair. That'S a problem! Um! You know you could be using products that do not work for you that don't either moisturize your hair good enough um products that may have too much protein in it. Some people have a protein sensitivity and they can't use products that have too much protein in it or their hair becomes really dry. There'S just so many things that can go wrong with relaxed hair and there's things that can go wrong with hair in general, but I feel like relaxed here is a little bit more sensitive because um, it's a chemical. It'S a chemical process that your hair is undergoing. Also, you know if you try to color your hair and relax your hair at the same time, there's things that can go wrong with that um there's just so many different things that can go wrong and a lot of the times things go wrong when we try To do our hair ourselves, that's when things go wrong, but honestly things can go wrong in the hands of a stylist as well. I have burnt myself and I've done wrong on myself, but I've also been burned by stylists as well, so it could go either or - and I personally feel like there's not a lot of stylists that even specialize in relaxed hair. So how do you even choose a stylist or feel comfortable enough to go into a stylist if a lot of them don't even do relaxed hair analyze them do natural, hair and braids and wigs now, so you might as well just learn how to do it yourself And um just do your hair yourself, which is what I have done and I'm still not perfect. I don't know everything, there's a lot of stuff that I'm still learning and still working on, but I've been enjoying the process, and I appreciate you guys for being along the ride with me when we have these issues that can go wrong with our realized hair, whether It'S how the relaxer was put in or processed or how we actually maintain and take care of our hair after the relaxer was put in this, can affect our overall look and style and just make our hair not look how we want it to look. It can affect the dick that it can affect the thickness it can affect the luster of our hair. It can affect the length and a variety of other things, but how I have combated this and tried to work against. This is to just try to learn as much about hair as I possibly can now. I follow a lot of stylists here on YouTube who are licensed cosmetologists and who know what they're doing when it comes to relaxed hair. I don't really have anyone in my area that I can look up to as far as a professional stylist in my town that does relaxed hair. So I look towards YouTube and I would encourage you guys to do the same if you're struggling with your relaxed hair, I would just you know: try to educate yourself more a little bit about hair and um. Try to look at professionals who do here on YouTube. If you don't find, anyone like myself that you really like professionals are also a good place to start, because they do a lot of different clients and um. A lot of them do specialize in relaxed here so start there, and if you are still having a problem with this you're trying really hard. But everything is going wrong. You'Re getting frustrated you considering going back natural, don't go back natural just you know, seek professional help or just be a little bit more patient with yourself and try learning a little bit more about hair, and you can also watch my videos as well. The second thing that I do not like about being a relaxed hair girly is this negative stigma that I feel is attached to relaxed hair y'all. Let me know if I'm wrong, Maybe I'm Wrong, maybe maybe there's not a negative stigma attached to relaxed hair, but I feel like a lot of people when they find out that you have relaxed hair there. They automatically, at least from my experience. They automatically are shocked. Like, oh, my God, but your hair is so thick, oh, my God you're relaxed and when my hair was longer your hair is so long. Your hair is so thick like I'm like yeah, like people can be relaxed and have long hair people can be relaxed and have thick hair people can be relaxed and have healthy hair. I don't I don't like the negative stigma that is tied to having chemically processed hair. It really annoys me if you cannot tell it really annoys me and a lot of people I kind of get the feeling, sometimes when some of the natural hair girls, you know, approach us, relax here, girlies the way they come about it. It makes me feel sometimes like they think their natural hair is better than relaxed hair because they'll be like oh well, you know you don't want to be natural um, you should go natural, your hair would be so much thicker or you didn't have to go. Relax to achieve the straight style, you could have just did this and you could have just did that ma'am. I didn't want to do that. Okay, I wanted to relax my hair and I'm perfectly happy and perfectly fine with the decision that I made. If you have a problem with the decision I made then that's on you, but I am completely happy with the decision that I made and I feel like a lot of people when they find out that I'm relaxed or when they find out that somebody is relaxed. They automatically try to get you to want to be natural, and it's like, oh, but why? Why can't I just be relaxed and be happy being relaxed. Natural hair is not better than relaxed hair, especially if you know how to take care of your hair. Your hair looks good to you and your opinion, and you like your hair and you're happy with it. That'S how all that matters and that's why I've kind of just started to tune a lot of these people out. That always have something to say about my hair or hair in general, because people are always going to have something to say and the more I feed into it or the more you feed into it. If someone's saying something to you, that's just gon na be the fuel on the fire for them to keep just saying stuff so um, I have just started ignoring people, and I feel like this has gotten to the point where, like I talked about in one of My other videos, people are even I feel like trying to scare us and to not even wanting to be relaxed anymore. Y'All heard about that um post that the shade room posted talking about that case that relaxed hair causes cancer and all this type of stuff. When literally there's millions of other things that cause cancer, why y'all pick relaxed hair like yeah that that's the last thing I had to pull out? Y'All'S bag was relax there like stuff, like that. Like just kind of annoys me - and I don't like that - and that's just part of the territory that comes with being a relaxed hair girly, I always feel like I'm defending the community like no relaxed hair, girly, still look good. We still have thick hair. We still have beautiful hair and we still have long hair. Don'T don't even try to play us like that, and I don't like that, but inside it's all right: I'ma continue to ride with the relaxed hair community because I'm definitely not going back to the other side. The third thing that I do not like about being a relaxed hair girly is the fact that there are not a lot of products that are tailored specifically for relaxed hair, girlies y'all correct me. If I'm wrong y'all know, I am open to feedback and I want to know if I'm wrong so that I can check myself and go out and find these products. But in my humble opinion, okay, when I go into the store and be it Target, Walmart beauty supply store anywhere, they sell Beauty and hair products. When I look on the shelves, I see two types of products: okay, now y'all y'all, correct me wrong. Y'All. Let me know what y'all see so that I don't think I'm crazy okay, but when I go in the hair store or any store, mind you, okay, I see two types of products. I see natural hair products for girls with curly or coily or kinky hair types. Okay, I see that and I also see products that were made by people of non-ethnic, descent, okay and I feel like that's all I see - and I have gotten extremely annoyed by that. Okay, how is it a whole wall of relaxers, a whole wall of relaxers, but for the products we got, ta go to the Natural Hair section or we got ta go to the YT section like. Why do we have to do that like? Why can't we just? Why can't we have our own little section like and I'm not saying, there's no products that are made or chemically processed hair, but it ain't a lie. Okay, that's why y'all see I be rocking and rolling with the silk elements, because that's the only product that I see that outlines it clearly or chemically treated hair or over processed hair for relaxed hair. Like that's the only product line that I see y'all correct me. If I wrong, but that's all, I see, that's got it labeled out on the front now, there's another product say that and it's written somewhere on the back of something where I can't see it. I don't know, but I need something on the front. I need a product that has it clearly for me to see on the front for relaxed for chemically treated hair, and I have not found a lot of products like that y'all. Let me know y'all y'all, please let me know - and I feel like this kind of this kind of um adds to my frustration with the other tips, not tips with the other things that I mentioned in this video because I feel like if there was better representation. If there was more relaxed, hair products or products for chemically processed hair, not colored, hair, chemically processed relaxed hair, I feel like that would kind of um less than like some of the other um blows that relaxed hair girls have to deal with, because it would put Us out there more on the map more, you know it would let people know. Yes, people are relaxing their hair. Yes, people need products to take care of their relaxed hair because people have healthy relaxed hair, and these are the products that they need to take care of their hair. It would lessen some of the backlash that we get as far as you know. Staying that relaxed hair is so bad because of the chemicals um and people would not look at relaxed hair so taboo as they do now. So so - and it really makes no sense to me because, like I said it's the whole wall of relaxers, why why don't the relaxer companies just make the products and sell them beside the relaxer or sell them on the Shelf beside and relax they're like I don't. I don't get that and I do not have a cosmetology license. So maybe these brands are selling the products in the cosmetology stores where you have to have a license to shop at I I don't know, maybe they're not selling it to the public, but they need to because it's now the way things are it's a lot of Stylists that don't have license that don't have a cosmetology license to even do relaxed hair, or they only do natural hair, or they only do braids so or they only do wigs or they only do sew-ins. So we need our own stuff for us to be able to access in the store and not have to go through the cosmetology Outlet or whatever, wherever the cosmetologist shop. We need our own stuff for the public for us to be able to buy, for us to be able to take care of our hair because they make the products and put it inside to relax their box like, I said why can't they just make a bigger Size and put it on a Shelf. Oh yes, my girl, these those are my gripes that I have with relaxed hair y'all. Let me know, am I tripping. Am I Wrong? Y'All know I'll be the first to admit. I'D be wrong. Sometimes so let me know if you have similar dislikes about being a relaxed or girly or if you have a different gripe, please let me know or if you natural, and you agree with some of the things I said as well drop your comments. Thank y'all. So much for watching and I will see y'all in the next video bye-bye

Silky Saks: We need to learn to respect each others choices. I know a lot of people who have went back to relaxers and that is their choice. Very smart to just ignore people. You're right not a lot of specific products and that is a huge gap in the market. Business idea Rae. Congratulations on 1K

Sapphire Relaxed Hair: Same here people come to my channel and say things like WHY you could have flat iron your hair or its not healthy yes I heard that too I live my hair and I don't worry about what people say about it. Great video sweetheart stay Blessed Beautiful youuuu ✨️

N Young: Motions Professional line is good for relaxed hair. I used the moisture shampoo and conditioner before with satisfactory results. I find using professional products and not drugstore/Walmart/target products make my hair thrive! Right now I’m using the Moroccan oil repair line and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s not going to be in everyone’s budget because it is pricey. But Motions Professional is reasonably priced for the results I have gotten. I find when companies label products “for relaxed hair or for natural curls and kinks” it’s really just a lot of marketing because many of those products never did what they stated it would do. I found a professional who helped me without all the gimmicks and my relaxed hair is thriving.

Philly-Sha17: ORS have hair products for relaxed hair. Personally I’m natural but, I’m thinking about returning back to relaxers. Here in Philadelphia the relaxers are pushed way in the back or, on a side wall at the beauty supply stores ‍♀️.. it’s as if they are embarrassed to sell relaxers! Do whatever you want. You’re the only one dealing with your hair on a daily basis

Toni Toni Kitchen: Natural isn't for everybody. You bring up valid points dear.

0tismadaline: Yea relaxed hair is sensitivity and the set backs is soo real

🎀Ms. Cherry🍒: I feel you and yayyy congratulations on 1k ‼️

Arlita: You can purchase the Moroconoil line off of Live, love locks..from Chris he has a YouTube channel too..Check him out...he sells professional products online as well. Hope this helps...I saw your question in the comments

SignedNichole: Hmmmm you’re right about the not many relaxed hair products. Have you been looking to create a line for us ?

Arlita: I loved your video!

Janice Martin: Yes I've did everything you said

0tismadaline: Congratulations sweetheart on hitting 1K SUBSCRIBERS
