Avoid This Haircut Mistake - Thesalonguy

Never ever ever ever do this, i'm about to show you today, because this is going to be the worst mistake you could ever make when doing a haircut on yourself or, if you're, a professional on someone else, your hair's getting along. You know it's it's much longer than you want it, you want to say above the eyebrows or you want to even say i want to go a little shorter for the summer or the hair is way too. On my eyes, let me just think about cutting my hair and yes, i know what i'm doing so, i'm going to comb everything straight down like this and then cut it straight across how hard can that be? Well i'll! Show you what what's going to happen and i'll explain to you why you don't ever ever ever want to do this, so i'm cutting in an angle but, let's just say all right there. It is, and you want your hair to be say around here or you feel like. Oh, you know what i need that much hair cut off all right, so watch this, oh wow! Look! It'S it's per! Look! How perfectly straight! That is! That looks. That looks pretty amazing. I cut all that hair off and let me just get a little more in here and you know over here. I just did this kind of quickly just to kind of get to get the gist of it all wow. That looks great now. I have a full haircut, you know forget about all this but say, like you know, the front gets long and you know you're just like. I can't take the hair my eyes and i want to cut it and all that kind of stuff. Well, let's just get all this hair out of here now, just even it out a bit now watch this you're you're. You still want to have the hair right around right here when i comb this all back all right, look what happens this hair and i'm going to show you this hair right here. Look how much shorter it is than that look at the difference. Okay, you just chopped off a whole bunch of hair in the front of your head, which is now gon na always just fall down like this or stick straight up when all of this hair is a lot longer. So this is the biggest hair mistake. You could possibly make i've learned this the hard way in the past by thinking. Oh, you know what yeah i want to get like a nice. You know nice uh banging through here. I want to just bring everything forward and you know it's a quick, easy fix to cut a lot of hair. Well watch this as it dries. Okay, let's just dry this real, quick and you can see what's gon na happen so now you're drying your hair and you're like oh. This is going to be great. This is going to be awesome and then, as you're drying, your hair you're starting to realize wait. A minute here why? Why is my hair so short? Look what happened! You just chomped your whole hairline and now you're, like oh, my gosh, and you thought. Oh, i'm just gon na be cutting that hair. This is gon na stay really long but yeah. This is what happens now, the only time this works is if you're, okay, with that. Okay, if you're, okay, with having the hair much shorter in the front here and creating this like wispy or just soft layer right into here and and kind of feathering it back and being okay with this, that actually looks pretty decent, believe it or not. But what you don't want to do is cut this all straight across like this and expecting to keep all that length in your hair. When all you want to do is bring the hair down to here right and i want a little trim and or even if i bring it down and cut it, it'll be fine, but then look how short this all is. So this literally is like the biggest mistake you can make uh when cutting hair. If you want to keep length in the like say in the front so you're like oh, i want to have this still a little bit longer than everything else, but now what you're doing is you're bringing all the hair to this one section. This is the closest point right here: the shortest and the this is where your hairline starts. So this is where all the hair is going to fall. The first - and this is the longest point - this should be the longest point of your entire head. If you have, if you want a style, let's say you know with a little bit more length to it, so what you need to do is, instead of cutting it way up here, you actually got to bring this so far down that you're actually leaving more length Than you probably want, so you have that cushion right and it doesn't just spring up like this all right, i'm sacrificing this mannequin for you all for this tutorial. So thank you, mannequin and i'm sorry that i've had to do this to you. But i just want you all to understand. This is the bursting and the the the biggest mistake you can make when cutting your own hair or even cutting someone else's hair, because the bangs are going to shoot up right and your client's going to freak out and you're going to freak out. You know spike everything up and put some product in it and camouflage it to make it look like it's part of the haircut, but just keep in mind all this hair is gon na fall over this, because this is so heavy, and this is so short.
