Things in it, this is like: where is it? This is not what I want. Are we ready for the results? Oh, this is weird my in the viewfinder my head is blending in, like this is blending in with the wall behind me, Hello, everybody. Welcome back to my channel, I don't often get that many requests to do particular videos unless it's like a really hyped makeup product or something I'll get the odd request here and there. But none of, like all the same people, suggesting the same thing until this bloody shark hairstyler launched I've actually had quite a few people saying please do a video on it. So I went and bought one of the shark Flex style, hair, styling and drying systems. It was 299.99 I've made quite a few videos using the Dyson air app, which I really love. I'Ve had it for maybe like coming up three years now. I think - and I really like my air wrap we've been through like a bit of a. I don't know troubled time at the start, My Curls just didn't last and I really had to kind of like Get To Know It And now I love it and I think my hair is in a lot better condition than it was before. I had it because I used to just use my curlers and straighteners like every single day and the shark Flex style is 299.99. The Dyson air wrap is between 400 49.99 and 499.99, depending on which one you go for the prices kind of range in between that bracket, depending where you buy it from and kind of like. If you get the newer one and which attachments you get with it and stuff so with the sharp one, you would be saving up to around 200 pounds, it's still very expensive for a hair tool. Don'T get me wrong, but for the people that are looking for something that is a little bit more affordable and, most importantly, has the same technology. Then, let's see if it's any good, so my hair type naturally is wavy. When I was younger, it used to be curly as in like spiral curls um, but I have kind of destroyed it over the years with heat and also bleaching it. I do take a lot better care of my hair now, but I've lost a lot of the curl. I'Ve still got a bit of a wave in it and I do get little ringlets if I let it kind of dry. Naturally, that being said, I've never really liked my natural hair, I used to wear it natural when I was at school and I'd just tie it up in a bun or wear it kind of half up half down, but that was mostly just because I was lazy. Whenever I show my natural home videos people comment saying I should try the curly girl method, but I don't really like. I tried it for one time on my Tick Tock. I just don't really want to dedicate that much time to restoring my curls when I never really like wearing my hair curly, I'm sorry, so the shark Flex style has got a smoothing attachment, which I think is just a regular dryer. It'S got a defining one, which has got a kind of diffuser which the Dyson doesn't have, but I'm very interested in that attachment and for the sake of science, I will be trying it on a piece of my curly hair just to see well, wavy hair see What it does you've got the auto wrap curlers, which are the number one thing that the Dyson air wrap kind of attracted people for, and it does use the coanda technology, which is the technology that Dyson created. I believe I think they had that kind of Technology. Copyrighted up until a certain point, and after a few years, they can then sell that science to other companies. I believe that is the case. It has the coriander effect which basically sucks your hair up and wraps it around. It has an oval brush and it also has a paddle brush. The Dyson air up has two different paddle brushes, which, to be honest, I don't end up using both of the Pearl brushes that my Dyson has. So I quite like that. They'Ve replaced one of them with a diffuser by the way, if you like my sweatshirt, it's from mine and James's goose and Ganda collection, they are still available on the website. Although it's heavy shark wins on the design of the box, it is a zip up. Travel case with a top handle, so you can carry it. The Dyson one is some big chunky, leather box that is very inconvenient to travel with. It also has a much better system of organization. It has actual compartments where the different parts are in. So the first thing I'm seeing is the curling attachments. It just comes with the one size of the curling attachment. The Dyson one has got two different thicknesses shock. One looks like it's kind of in between thickness of these two, but it's longer by like a good inch, I did buy the longer attachments of the Dyson, because when I got mine uh the longer ones did not exist. So the shark one is shorter than the Dyson longer barrels, but longer than the original Dyson barrels. Okay, this is the smoothing kind of dryer attachment of the shark, which looks pretty good for kind of drawing your hair. That way, oh wow we've got a diffuser which has got like a slider on the back, where you can have the little things in it go longer or shorter. It feels like shroud. Why is there masking tape on the back of it? That'S weird. So this is the paddle brush got ta say it doesn't look like my fave only because the bristles are so spread out. I feel like the bristles that are this spread apart. It'S a little bit more difficult to actually grip onto your hair and keep it smooth, but we'll see Jesus okay. This is the round brush attachment, that's big! It'S very big! Okay, so the one downside that I'm seeing so far is for my Dyson. Yes, mine is covered in here, don't judge me, the Dyson one is a lot smaller and I actually use this attachment the most out of all of my Dyson ones, because I use it on my Fringe to kind of do the little flicky thing and this because The bristles are so close together. It'S really good for, like gripping your hair and kind of like rolling it and getting that volume and the swoopy side, bang kind of thing. I'Ve tried other kind of hot brushes that are similar sizes to this. I would compare it to like the Revlon hot brush - it's quite a big thing, so getting all of your Fringe in that. I think it's going to be quite hard to get up to the roots, but again we'll see, and you can like maneuver over it like this. So I guess you can dry your hair like this and use the diffuser like that. So I guess that will come in quite handy. Should we see what happens when I just turn it on? Oh, that turned off really weirdly, so it has three different heat settings, three different speed settings and then like a cool shot, and then this is the on off switch in terms of noise level. I think it's a little bit louder than the Dyson one, but it's not as loud as your typical hair dryer, and it makes a lot more of a high-pitched. Sound hair dry is like this is like I'm going to try and smooth this side of my head and curl it and use the round brush on this side of my head. I'M going to try the more natural method of giving it a little bit of a blow dry and then using the diffuser. Let'S do that. I just had it on the highest speed and the highest temperature and it gets really hot. So the temperature options are no heat, low, medium and high. It does see on the website shark Flex, star measures heat a thousand times per second, ensuring consistent air temperatures, gently drying with no heat damage, but it doesn't say kind of How High the temperature gets up to that felt a little bit hot to me. So I'm just going to turn it down, but it's very powerful. I like the power of it. It seems to be drying my hair very well. One thing I'm noticing that I don't like about it is that the fan like this bit almost seems a bit too short. I find that where I want to grip it like, if you hold it up here, fine, but as soon as you grip it down here. Part of my hand starts covering the little fan at the bottom, and obviously you don't want to like. My natural instinct would be to hold it down here at the bottom, but you don't want to hold this bit. Otherwise, it's going to probably break it because all the air gets sucked in from this little um. Not the fan is that the fan - you know the air comes in from this bit and you can feel it sucking in all the air, but because the buttons are right down the bottom here. I kind of wish that they put the buttons in this middle section because to try and turn it off. You kind of have to shuffle your hand down to here unless you want to use your other hand and same with adjusting the heat temperature in these as well like. I wish that they'd move them a bit further up. So that's just a practical point of view. I'M gon na go in with the the paddle brush attachment foreign. It'S not completely dry, yet I still need to, I think, blast The Roots a little bit more with the other one, but I like this paddle brush attachment. Initially, I thought that the spaced out bristles were going to be a problem, but I actually think I prefer that there seems to be more airflow going through my hair and I also like how it kind of Curves around the edges. It doesn't just stop like flat. It has these extra little bristles around the sides here, so it kind of grips your hair a little bit more and you can hold it almost on its side like that it is doing a really nice job of smoothing out my hair. Actually I like that attachment, and it's definitely bigger than the Dyson one in terms of how much hair it grips onto because of the extra bristles around the side it grips onto more. This one feels a lot kind of thinner, just don't touch the metal bits because it does seem to get quite hot, whereas the Dyson ones are all plastic. This one's got some metal in it hang on. How do I get this off without burning myself? Now? That'S the only okay: okay, we've reached a floor. We'Ve reached a floor, just be very careful to not touch the metal because it does get quite hot. I'M just gon na give it a bit more of a loss. That is a really good. Hairdryer love that that slim try. Oh that's, definitely not the right way see the oval brush has got this little like knob on the top of it that you can hold on to. Let'S try this one and let's try and do my Fringe with it. It'S just so big. That'S actually worked really well, however, you can't really well for me anyway. I'M finding you can't really get the same, like swoop effect on shorter pieces of hair, because this is a lot bigger and thicker. It doesn't like by time. My Fringe is wrapped all the way around it. It'S mostly just kind of straightening it out, rather than giving it that flick that I usually like to do so that is the one downside to this brush. I would say you can't quite get the same. Flicky sort of effect, I mean sure you could definitely do it on the ends of my hair, which, let's try that okay see that kind of worked here you can see. I was able to get that little flick. I don't know why. I did it upwards, though it has done a really really nice job, actually at smoothing out my Fringe. It feels very straight and very soft, but in terms of the whole kind of sweepy effect, it's a little bit more difficult. There is a bit of a swoop, but it's a bit more difficult than the smaller Dyson Barrel. It'S done a really good job, at smoothing out the top of my hair, where I usually have a lot of frizz. My hair feels really soft. This one is good if you want to straighten your hair I'd say not so much for doing the whole flippy kind of thing on your Fringe, but on the rest of your hair sure, and it picks up a lot more hair than the Dyson yeah. You can definitely get the kind of bouncy effect. I do like the attachment, but it's not comparable to the Dyson kind of equivalent. Now, what we've all been waiting for the color attachments, the reason that it comes with two is so that you don't have to flip your arm over the top of your head. So what you want to do with these when you're looking in the mirror, the arrow should be pointing away from your face so that you get curls away from your face, which is generally a lot more flattering: yeah. Okay, oh, I think I'm gon na like this. I'M just gon na spray, my hair with a little bit more heat protectant, just to dampen it a bit because you want your hair to be a little bit damp. Maybe it would have made more sense if I'd have sectioned my hair, but you know what I'm usually too lazy. So, oh, yes see. I can't reach the button from all the way down here there we go. Oh, I can see steam coming off. Let'S now press the cool shot, okay, let's then slide that off before I do. The big reveal what I usually do with my Dyson one. Now, if I'm going somewhere, where I need it to last all day, I usually will clip it up most of the time. I will just twist it like this: leave it to sit so that it doesn't all unravel and then at the end of my head I will brush it all out gently after some hairspray, but it's working very well. I could see quite a lot of steam coming off my hair and it feels to me like it definitely gets hotter than the Dyson one, but it picks it up really easily exactly like the Dyson one. I usually kind of fit throughout to see if it's dry full shot. It does take a while for the cool shot to get cool, but so does the air wrap. So you start off with curls that look a little bit crazy. Oh, I've missed a bit under my hair, that's so annoying just from personal experience with the Dyson. It seems to be working in the exact same way, though it's picking up my hair very effectively, it's working pretty much exactly the same, see what I would usually do. Um, if I want the curls to last like all day, I will usually pin them like this I'll slide, a little clip in there and pin them up to be honest most of the time. I don't do that these days, because I have found that the best method is to kind of start with your hair done, put it on the hottest setting then use the cool shot and then kind of wrap them around each other leave them to sit here. For a good like 10, 20 minutes spray them with a bit of hairspray, and then I find once I brush them out. They generally last a pretty long time, and especially if you use some kind of mousse in your hair beforehand, I'm using it on the medium Heat. By the way the curls are looking really nice. So far, oh crap have I done that thing again where I've blow dried, my hair into my eyes and my mascara has melted into my hair yeah. I have that looks really nice. Should I do my little Fringe bit and also another ease of use thing. These buttons are very flat against a thing, it's quite hard to feel for them. When you're like trying to reach for the cool shot, I was like. Where is it so far, I'm really liking it curls are looking good. They do seem to have dropped a little bit and I do still have a little bit of frizz, but I have to say with my Dyson one, it doesn't eliminate my frizz completely if you do have naturally very frizzy hair, it's quite hard to get it completely. Smooth, in my opinion - maybe that's just my hair type - I'm just gon na spray - this as it is with a bit of hairspray, and I'm just going to leave it to sit there. This attachment is really good. It'S pretty much seems to be working the same as the Dyson one, but the only thing is I do feel like it gets a bit. Hotter could just be me, but I think it does so then, on this side of my head, I'm gon na try this diffuser my hair's kind of half dry already, but let me just see it: let's see, I'm not using the diffuser. In years I used to use one when I was at school. It'S set in the instructions that the longer ones help you to kind of like hold your hair at the root better. I don't think I I maybe didn't, use it in the best way, but it's definitely worked. Look at these little ringlets but yeah. As you can see. With my hair, I get the kind of like tightest little like curl bits at the top and then the ends just kind of go. This is why I never kind of wear my hair natural yeah. Now, what do I do? I'M gon na respray this side of my hair and I'm gon na try and smooth it out, match it to this side, just using the opposite barrel, and then I will come back and we will brush out the curls and see the finished result. Wish me luck after that, bit kind of going a bit curly, I'm struggling to get this bit to look nice, it's kind of just going! It'S not straightened as much as the other side. It'S a little bit more difficult, because I can't quite get to this little. Like Kink under here I'll, keep trying with it see what happens when I curl it if it'll make it any better, my hair is starting to feel really sticky from where I've sprayed so much product in it. I'M feeling these ones are gon na stay a bit easier, just because there's more product in them. This side, I think, is going to have a lot more volume. What I'm going to try now is just taking these two front pieces of my hair and taking the round brush again sorry, the oval brush, let's take the oval brush and see if I can fix this, it's just so big no like. Why is this side just going straight, and this side is going like I've got ta, admit guys. I did cut these myself. I did cut these myself the other day and they are not cooperating with this particular thing. With the Dyson. They look. Fine, let's um. Let'S try using this belt on my this is probably a bit too thin. There'S the off button. Where is this one? Oh god? Oh! No! Oh! No! This is not what I want. [ __ ] sake this side, fine, this side. No! Oh! Oh! No! No! No! No, no, no! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No right, we'll just I'll, just tuck that one behind my ear! Oh my God! It'S got a life of its own, fine, I'll, tuck it behind my ear. Hopefully it will settle it down a little bit and I'm just gon na spray, the other side. This side hasn't had as much time to cool down, but it does feel completely cool because I use the cool shot on it so moment of truth, I'm going to flip my head over and we'll see the finished results. God this room is full of steam and hairspray. Are we ready and are we ready for the results? We'Ve got a lot of volume. Obviously, it's most likely not gon na stay like this, like, I said this side which had more hair product in it originally because I just sprayed it twice with my heat protectant spray, which is kind of like a bit sticky. This side seems to have kept the curls a lot more, whereas this side they've dropped out quite a lot. However, I think we were known by now that the Dyson doesn't really give like the ringlet curls anyway. It gives you this big kind of bouncy, blowout type thing, and I know a lot of people be like don't touch it with a hairbrush. I would usually brush out my hair very gently, so I'm just going to do that on this side and see what happens. Oh no, okay, they have definitely fallen out quite a lot. I might just redo this piece because that's just gone a bit once you get the hang of it. I find personally that it actually takes me a lot less time than it used to take me to do my hair, as in I'm talking generally about this kind of hair tool, this one all the Dyson, with with my hair being so naturally frizzy. I used to have to blow dry my hair, try and smooth it out. I would have to straighten the top half just so that it didn't go super frizzy, because the hair dryer can never get it smooth enough and then I would have to curl it. So it's kind of like a four step, three or four step process, and obviously this one is as well but drying your hair, while smoothing out at the same time and then just curling the ends now that I've got the hang of it, it really doesn't. Take me that long to do my hair, maybe like half an hour maximum in total okay. So now that I've done these two pieces, I'm a lot more happy with how it's kind of looking, I'm just going to try and brush out this side. As you can see, the curls do drop out quite a lot. However, if you do want to get that more like ringlet look, what I would really recommend is pinning your curls up. I know it is a bit of a faff and, to be honest, it is frustrating to pay so much money for a hair tool and then have to pin your curls, but the reason being for that is because it doesn't get as hot as typical, like hair Tongs so yes, those generally depending on your hair type, they tend to hold your curls a lot better. If you use like a regular hair tone that gets up to like 200 degrees, but because this kind of thing doesn't get as hot as those the curls tend to not last as long unless you pin them up or use extra products like Hairspray and mousse. But for me I am perfectly happy with this result. This gives you that really kind of like glamorous bouncy voluminous hair, look, and I have to say this is definitely very comparable to the air out. If you can save any money on it or maybe, if you want to ask for it for Christmas, I would recommend it. I think it's really good and it's a really good alternative to the air wrap in terms of like the results of my hair, it's extremely similar minus this bloody bit of Fringe that doesn't want to cooperate hello, everyone. This is the second day that I'm testing out the shark and something that I've noticed is that on some of the curls they've almost got like a hexagonal shape to them. Where look, can you see it kind of looks like the barrel on this piece? I was holding it too tight against my head, so obviously it sucks your hair up and you can just hold it there gently and it won't do this, but if you pull it tight, I don't know how to describe it. Your hair is then closer to the shape of the barrel, whereas if you just hold it a bit more Loosely, it still wraps it up and keeps it curled without making this hexagonal shape, and I did my hair earlier on today, maybe like eight hours ago. This is what it looks like at the end of the night to be fair. I did get caught in a little bit of drizzle in London, and my hair has stayed pretty smooth. It'S not obviously gone back to its natural state, but the curls did pretty much completely draw pal. I'Ve just got like a tiny bit of Bounce left, but yeah. I would definitely say this is without pinning the curls same as the Dyson. If you want them to last all night well for my hair type anywhere, I know that some people with the these kind of hairstylists they find that their curls last longer than normal um. But for me personally, my hair doesn't seem to hold a curl as well with this kind of like thing. I think it's to do with the heat thing and that my actual strands of hair are quite thick so next time I would definitely clip it up, like I usually do with the Dyson. So there we go. I would say that the downsides for me about this particular shock device are that compared to the airbrap, you do just get the one barrel thickness, so you don't get two different barrels and I would say that the other downside for me is that the oval attachment Brush is just a bit too big for my particular hair and like from the way that I usually style my Fringe, but it's probably just because I'm so used to this one. But this one gets a lot more like at your root and you can really like Smooth out if you have like a cow's, lick or something which I do. Whereas this is a lot more difficult to kind of like Smooth out and then the other downside. To me is just that: it's like the buttons I feel like are in a really odd place, so even if they just had them reachable, I feel like that would be a lot better than having to like shuffle your hand, all the way down to the bottom Or use your other hand - and this is just me being kind of picky, but I just noticed when using it it's a little bit less user friendly. If that makes sense, the pros, though I like this um and it's a really powerful hairdryer, the hairdryer bit works. Really well, I like how it comes with the diffuser as well, so it's gon na work for a whole lot of different hair types. This brush attachment, I really like, and you know what. Overall I like it guys I like it, the only thing is as well. I don't know if the filter is cleanable or replaceable, because I don't think that comes off and also I'm well aware that it's still a very expensive hair tool. You do not need this in your life. You can obviously just buy the round brush a hair, dryer type things which give you that bounce and the volume - and you can also buy something like the babyless tool, which is around the 60 pound Mark, which I've done a video of previously. That one doesn't have the coriander effect, but it still has like the curling Barrel attachment. The difference is like the Revlon one and the fabulous one. They both get quite a lot hotter than these, so they will probably do more damage to your hair. But if you are more of a budget, then those are definitely something that you could go for and give it a try and maybe use them on the lower setting if you're trying to avoid hair damage and if you don't care so much, then knock yourself out. Um, what do you guys think? If, I'm being honest, I probably will still continue to use my ever only because I've got the longer barrels for it which are slightly longer than the shark ones. I use the round brush bit every day to just restart my Fringe. Oh, my god, I've got this mascara like everywhere. I will leave a link down below if it's still available. I got mine from Currys. I forgot to say that I was out of stock on boots, but it did say more stock coming soon. Hopefully this was helpful. If you guys are considering buying this particular tool, let me know if there are any other hair tools that you want me to test and if you did enjoy this, please give it a thumbs up that really really helped me out subscribe. If you would like to see more videos like this in the future, I also do makeup videos if you're new to my channel. I hope you guys are good and I will see you in my next video bye.

The Mighty Sleuth : I love that you reviewed the practicality of this product as well as the visual results, knowing about the flat buttons and how easy/difficult this is to hold is so helpful if you have a disability like me! Thank you x

S B: I love their diffuser, it is the best diffuser I have ever tried. Tips - to style your natural waves/curls, you need to apply right styling products (like curl cream with proteins to moisturize and give structure, then mouse/gel to avoid freeze) and scrunch more on the bottom to make sure to get your curls out more. Plop to allow products Then try to diffuse on the lowest heat setting and low flow. I am sure it will be better if you ever want to try again CGM It does get easier over time and less time however I agree that you can’t predict the outcome rather than styling with Dyson or Shark barrels.

María Agustina Robledo: I'm from Argentina and there are no similar hairtools here but I love watching Soph cause she's so kind thank you for uploading, love your vids!

keli sicilian: Hey Soph, I'm a professional hairstylist and just wanted you to know that you did a fantastic hair tutorial with your review of the new shark hair tool! ❤️

ur favorite yoja: I think your natural texture is so cute on you but I'm the exact same way with my texture. I definitely have some wave and curl in my hair but I refuse to spend a bunch of time and money perfecting the texture when I can flat iron it or throw it in a bun. Thank you for this video!!

🎁FREE GIFT CARDS ON MY CHANNEL🎁: *19:15** Let’s just take a minute to appreciate how much time and work she put into these videos?* *It's unbelievable, and I think they deserve a lot more than that*

thelidiaedit: With dyson, my curls last 3-4 days. Depends on the hair type. This one seems to be a very cool alternative

Jackie: Omgsh ! FINALLY, a review that shows how the curls turned out the remainder of the day! Thank you for your great review !

Diva Dawn: So, I looked up the Dyson thing and WHOLLY COW! In the US is $600, that's crazy for a hair tool. It is Dyson and their products tend to be expensive anyway. However, the thing about pinning your curls, you have to wait for the bonds to reform in order for the curl to stay better. Pinning them up allows the bonds to reform without gravity pulling the curl out. I really enjoyed your tutorial and I will look into the shark one and see if I can work that into the budget lol

Lucie Low: Oooh I love this review! Thank you so much! Honestly was so helpful! I’ve been considering the air wrap for a while now but could never justify the price! This was super helpful! ❤

keya: do you remember when you tried the airwrap on your friend with curlier hair and said it wasn’t worth it for her. Maybe can you try this one as well ? it seems a lot curly hair friendly than the airwrap

Vicki Mac Callum: Hey Soph! Re curly girl - I did it so half-arsed because I couldn’t be bothered to do the crazy routines. All I did was lots of conditioning and switching my hair towel to an old shirt or a DISNEY hair towel I got at Primark. Now it’s literally a ton less effort than styling was

Iwona: I brought it as soon as I knew it was out! Very happy with it and love playing around and learning how to style my hair. I normally am low mainatnce with my hair but I hate it this way! So I’m hoping to find a blow out look that suits me lol. I also wanted the Dyson one for so long but it was just so so expensive 200£ cheaper is a lot in my opinion haha! Love the video x

Betty Stroh: You always want the air blowing in a downward trajectory to prevent frizz. I recommend holding your hand in this position: make a large U with your hand where your arm and thumb and 4 fingertips all point directly up to the ceiling while the rest of your hand forms a U cup. Place the crook/corner of the dryer facing you inside the U shaped cup you’ve made in your hand and grip the corner/crook of the dryer this way in your no dominant hand. This allows excellent control while leaving your dominant hand free to style while you are drying your hair, and it also causes the air to blow in a downward direction. This technique is also excellent if you are drying your hair with your head flipped upside down.

D S: It's insane to me that you don't like your hair wavy because it looks so crazy good. I mean obviously my opinion doesn't really matter, but I think that you give yourself way too hard of a time when it comes to your wavy hair. It's gorgeous. It gives you a very natural sort of wild girl I woke up like this look. And it's just so pretty! Its envy worth waves and you should embrace them.

Oh Contraire: I have very similar hair and the ONLY thing that will coax it into holding a curl for any real length of time is old school setting lotion! I dilute mine to about 50/50 with water coz my hair is STUBBORN but you can dilute it more to avoid any "crunch", pop it into a spray bottle and spritz onto wet or dry hair before styling. Works for overnight heatless curls too

Jaime Clark: I have a very similar hair type to you but mine is shorter. I want long hair now because yours looks so beautiful ❤️ also I just tried Olaplex for the first time not sure if you have ever tried it but the #6 Bond smoother is so amazing, it has completely gotten rid of frizz and made the bleach damaged bits feel so smooth and silky ❤️

Abaddon: It’s turned out soooo good!!! i know it’s like half the price of the air wrap but if I was going to spend THAT much on a hair product anyway I would just save up that extra for the airwrap because I know how good it is! But there’s so so so many heat free and also very cost effective overnight ways to curl hair now (which i would love to see you try out) that I don’t think I could justify the price unless I was a professional hair stylist! ❤️

Its Razielle: I've had curtain bangs for two years and my hairdresser told me that the best way to style it is to curl it towards my face. That you for the review ❤️❤️❤️

jessica bryson: Your hair looks so good when it’s done! With my airwrap I use a hair mousse for extra hold and I find it works really well for me❤

no one: You don’t have to do much for curly girl method. I did cgm for a while but my curls -although improved a little- didn’t get to the level where i wanted them to be. So i went back to blowdrying my hair straight. But i kept my cgm hair products, and they are very cheap products. I only use a cgm approved conditioner, and a leave in cream my but shampoo has sulphate. And after a while my curls have gotten so good that i have people asking me if i went to the hair saloon this happened over 2-3 years. And i didn’t even do plopping, plus kept straightening my hair (but i use revlon one step dryer not a regular straightener) my curls are now looking really nice and i don’t evet blow dry them most of the time. It saves me a lot of time that i can’t believe i used to straighten my thick long hair every couple days. Now i can go out without doing anything to my hair

Janae: I watched another review and she showed that you can clean the filter. I really like that it folds, seems like it would be a lot easier to use versus the dyson.

cjbex: you have such lovely hair i wish i could do mine like this i'd definitely consider buying this as the airwrap just seems a bit too expensive!

Alysha: Thing about your “natural hair texture” everyone’s is different. I tried during lockdown for about a year to embrace and nurture my natural hair texture. As long as I tried - I would have good days and bad days and overall never really felt as beautiful as I did with straight hair. Embrace whatever hair you love!

Gayle's BeautyCorner: If you want a good hair brush to brush out curls, I would recommend the one from Give Me Cosmetics, when I curl my hair I use that and it leaves a more wavy affect without them dropping out completely

Em A: You should visit a curly hair specialist, they can show you how to get the most out of your natural waves and make them look good!

Yin-ting Tang: Love u Soph, you've smashed the new g&g collection proud of both u and James

Cheryl Stephenson: The UK kit is so much nicer than the Canadian one. We don’t get the lovely case!

Beth Pettinger: I always trust your reviews Soph, thanks so much for such an honest and through review! X

Dee Atkinson: Hi Soph my hair is thick and a frizz monster most of the time!! I had a keratin treatment recently and honestly I cannot believe how well my hair has behaved!! It is truly amazing maybe you could review one ??( I had the keratin revolution system.) Xx

CelticStar87: I’m actually not surprised Shark came out with this. They are one of Dyson’s leading competitors. Not cheap, but certainly a lot more affordable than Dyson (and that goes for most of their products).

emxpls: Here's a question - can you fit the Dyson tools on the Shark styler? Probably not but if you can that might be a way around your fringe!

#Mom Life Adventures: I definitely want one! Thank you SO much Soph for this review!! I am in the US though and we don't have the option to get all 5 attachments and the case! No case option and only 4 attachments (2 options), or "build your own" with 3 attachments. Your hair looks gorgeous!

Sia: I used to work for Dyson, and it’s highly unlikely they would have sold the technology as that’s not really within their culture. It’s more likely that they held a patent on the technology and Shark bought the patent before Dyson were able to renew it. When this happens in tech we are talking about literal seconds, companies will sweep in and buy the rights to other companies patents literally the second it runs out it’s like the worlds most stressful and expensive eBay bidding war. I remember when I worked there Vax did the same thing with the DC02 vacuum cleaner, which at the point, was about 18 years old and no longer supported. The Dyson directors were mad, and were trying to sue the pants of vax but they didn’t succeed (if I am remembering correctly).

Melissa coviello: I am so happy I just wear my hair naturally curly and don’t have to do all this. Sometimes I’ll defuse, but generally I take my wet hair, mousse it up and plop it in a tshirt over night while I sleep and then hair is ready to go when I wake up.

Elijah & Arianna: I’m so excited to watch this because I’ve always wanted the Dyson air wrap but it’s also way to expensive

Suan: I think you look gorgeous with your curls, Soph

양Vikkki: It looks like a great dupe! I definitely want one but I have shorter hair now and the attachments look too big for my hair length. :( I hope they come with smaller attachments for people with shoulder length hair. Probably will pick one up after they release more attachment options later down the road.

Lilia Cantu: Hi Soph! I have seen so many videos on the shark flex style and when I finally used it I thought I was crazy because NO ONE not a single person has mentioned the crazy mark the curling tool left in my hair until I saw ur video. How do I keep that from happening? Does the dyson do that too? Thank you for being so honest in your reviews!

Julie Smith: Hi Soph, I got my Goose and Gander order today. That exact top and a beanie Loving them!

Jennifer: currently sat in my g&g fleece, it’s massive as I’m so small but it’s so SOFT. and cozy. in love with it ❤

Loren Procter-Blain: Definitely thinking of purchasing this instead of the Dyson! Debating on the GHD Rise though as I want a more blow out look.. maybe testing different GHD curling tools!?

Chris Tine: I‘m waiting for Shark to start selling this in Germany. They introduced it to the market in September but didn’t start to sell it yet.

Ceri Denning: Considering the Dyson you have to buy the hair dryer and the air wrap separately this is a hell of a lot cheaper

⛔️TAP MY PROFILE TO MEET ME AND MORE⛔️: *18:12** Let’s just take a minute to appreciate how much time and work she put into these videos?* *It's unbelievable, and I think they deserve a lot more than that*

Krupskaya: Another fantastic review Soph - so helpful - thank you!

lesley king: I love your reviews I know if you like something it's a good thing x I really wanted the Dyson but now I am more likely to get the shark as I can't justify the Dyson price. X

Lisa Sallery: Anyone who has hair that can hold a curl, I’m so jealous of. My hair is poker straight. I’ve probably spent thousands over the years on hair tools. But I was bought the babyliss curling tool that is like the shape of a hammer (if you see it you’ll get what I mean). That was the first and ONLY tool that can curl my hair. Unfortunately I’ve lost it, but I would buy another one. They are still not cheap but a lot cheaper than the dyson or shark at around £150.

The Funeral Directors Daughter: Is it a dupe when the Shark one is £300 and the Dyson one is £500? They're both stupidly expensive! ‍♀️

Rebecca-Anne Diner: Thank you for reviewing this!! I had been waiting as I wanted to buy it

Stephanie Torres: Your hair looks lovely in curls!!

Stephanie Wilkinson: Hey Soph! Pleeeeeeeease test the dreamwave next!!! I would love to see a review on that!

Lilli A.: That I do the review! I’ll definitely put this in my Christmas wish list also can we please talk about how freaking pretty you look?

Josie Young: i just love you soph! your personality is everything!

Jennifer: wouldn’t necessarily use this as I have short hair that’s rather thin, but am I gonna still watch the video and support soph? absolutely.

Liv W: I didn't even know Shark cared about hair tools let alone actually released one.

lauralee ellis: Waitttt a minute, I don’t think the one that’s being sold in the States has the travel trunk!

Emily O'Brien: What hairspray and heat protectant did you use? Love your videos!!

Unstoppable Unicorn: Soph!!’ Omg your natural hair is so beautiful!!!

DS RS: Look up the bowl method for wavy hair, much better suited than CGM! I have thick wavy hair and I love it!

Tater: You need to try Brad Mondos wavetech. It’s a foam for wavy hair. It would bring your curls back to life for sure.

AH: Do a video of you wearing your natural curls like following GCM for a day you would rock those curls like a queen

LeeahBurgin 12: Hi! I served you at primark yesterday and I feel awful because I wanted to really show you how much I appreciate you and your channel but I was so busy and was so in shock that it was really you haha! But it was so lovely to see you I’m not sure if you’ll see this comment but if you do then it was so nice to meet you!

Aqua_girl: You have such PRETTY natural CURLS Soph!

Jennifer: also soph your natural curly hair is beautiful

Veronika Talpašová: Yeees I'm glad you tried it. I was interested to see how it works

Donna Lewis: Hiya Soph fantastic video! I really enjoyed watching this!! Much love ❤❤❤

Anna Swanson: The shark styler looks really nice but it seems waaay louder than the dyson

Lana Marie Hanlon: loved this video Angel! Ur smashing it ❤ you inspire me so much with my channel

Marzena Adjovi: Exactly for I needed Soph! It’s my birthday soon and now I know what I’m going to ask for

Eileen Boffo: Delighted you did a review thanks Soph

cherylb_88: I just purchased the T3 airebrush duo and hoping I like it. I had the dyson and never used it. Regret never using and selling it now ‍♀️

Ellie Pike: Love this video, can i ask what you use with your dyson to keep your curls I'm struggling still, do you use mouse or texturing spray? I would love for you to do a tutorial video on how you keep the curls x

Erin Somerton: I find that my curls hold so much better on slightly dirtier hair, maybe that would help with these stylers as well

Liana Webb: So glad I bought mine before they sell out for Christmas!

Mel Mason: Ugh this video makes me sad just because our color in the US is a boring silver. UK version is GORGEOUS.

rosettasilvermist: I prefer Shark to Dyson on hoovers so not surprised to find this is comparable. Would have liked to have seen you use the wrap whilst it was angled.

rayray2451: Still a bit too expensive for me, especially because I’m sooo low maintenance with my hair lol. Maybe if there’s a good sale one day or another brand makes one cheaper

Tasha2849: Shark don't do quiet with anything quiet Everything sounds like a plane taking off. I think the Shark is probably like the Dyson and will take a bit of practice.

Louise De Hertogh: Haha I've just messaged my local appliances store here in Belgium whether they'll be stocking it in the near future, because this seems like something I need. But it doesn't seem to be sold anywhere in mainland Europe yet..

P: Hi Soph! Would love to know how this compares to the Luxx Air Pro! Shark does not ship to my country but the Luxx one does so I’m planning on getting it. Thank you!

Sorcha Mckay: This is the second review I've seen on the shark and you both said exactly the same thing about the buttons .

Georgina Rockett: I have been WAITING for this video!!! thank you Soph!

Kennie: Hi Sophie I loved your video your hair looks really nice and lovely ♥

Ebru Evermore: Is this more damaging than Dyson though?

alan wong: Would you be able to do Dyson one side and Shark the other? Just to see if there's a different with shine, texture, frizz?

SlothLoveChunk14: It’s crazy in the US on StockX the Dyson airwrap (espesh in dark blue) is like one of the highest in demand and most sold products. I a lux brand name bitch - can’t help it - but I’ve watched so many of these Dyson airwrap v shark wrap (whatev it’s called) the Dyson lit looks like GARBAGE compared to the shark. I got super addicted to the Beachwavers. I used them every day. I loved them. I used to spend an hour drying my super long, super thick hair in college and hs every few days. From soaking wet. Just for body and the flip at the bottom. Which I had to continue to encourage by developing this twirling of my hair habit. I’m in my - let’s go with Mid30s now - and all I do is twirl twirl twirl my hair - doin it now is kinda like feeling as tho I’m using fidget spinner. But Most curlers wouldn’t hold curls. Til beachwaver, NO CURLS would hold. They would fall flat by time I was on other side. But I totally stopped using the wavers every day with the pandemic. I recently tried again, and fkn hate them. The clamp is SOOOOOO small. Especially since I added some kid length front flippy bangs. But I’m think the shark will get the biz done

Elina: Hey Soph I’m so happy you did this video I love you so much ❤❤❤❤ I hope you see this comment ❤❤

Edward Lee California USA: Good morning happy Sunday morning and I loved your channel and your hair looks amazing I'm proud of you

shellshell1285: This looks nice but honestly how anybody can ever be arsed with all this I will never know...deffo not for me! haha

Steffi D: I think i rather invest in hot rollers bc you dry your hair then roll them which takes like 5 minutes and leave them and can go on in your routine until they are cool. The more expensive rollers are already much cheaper than the shark even and if you have to pin the curls up anyway to help them stay you can do it from the start and they will hold much better. You also have to hold the shark per curl for 20 secs and 10 for cool shot so you are occupied the whole time with holding instead of doing smth else like with hot rollers. Thanks for the video

Asmaa vlog 아스마 브이로그: I feel happy when I get a notification that you have uploaded a new video . Thank you very much for uploading the video. Your videos fill me with so much positive energy ♥️♥️♥️

princessfarz x: I have been waiting for your review on this!!!! Thank you❤

Unstoppable Unicorn: Also what heat protectant are you using?? I don’t think you mentioned it and it isn’t in the description

kira: I would kill to get your natural hair. I have so thin hair without any volume and I always try to her any structure in it. Yours looks like my personal dream hair

MrR: Looking Beautiful Soph , love the Jumper , good vid . Have a great weekend ♥️

Jess X: Hey Soph, would you mind sharing where you got the glasses you are wearing towards the end of the video? They look amazing and I’m needing to get a new pair soon so needing inspo ❤

Charlotte Okkerse: Regarding the comment about the buttons. I think the placement is an issue for those that are already used to using the dyson.

Tasnim Gulzar: Finally another video , feels like ages since I saw the last one (even though I saw one a few days ago I guess ).

MaggiezHart: I didn’t even know they made a black version
