Hi today, I'm going to show you how to wave up a short bomb, but let's get started if you're new here my name is Laura. I'Ve been in the beauty industry for 30 years as a hair stylist our products. Today we started with theorems spectral line. This is a purple line which is great for blondes, silver, hair, gray, hair. This makes light tones pop and then dried into. My hair is the method by theram Method, so the method is three products. First, this is square root which is sprayed down onto the scalp. This is basically like hair fertilizer. This makes your scalp create a very nice healthy atmosphere and it's going to help your hair grow better. I dried into my hair as well. This is the method, and this is sugar pie. These two together dried into the hair heat, protect they plump The Strand. They also encourage healthy hair growth. I am a theoremethod hair specialist, so if any of these products you have questions about reach out to me, I'd be happy to help you with those and recently I became a color wow Ambassador, which I am very excited about, and I've been using extra large from Color wow, this is a volumizer. I love about this product is still very touchable and silky, but it's going to give me great volume, and it's going to last for days any other product that we need to talk about is this is iron shape 11, which is a spray that goes in on Dry, hair: it's going to protect again against the Heat tools that I'm about to apply so make sure that you get it through your hair, especially onto the ends. A few heat tools that I'm using today. This is the launch La Duo. What I like about this is It's a flat iron, but you can also get waves and curls so at home when you're, trying to curl your hair with that flat iron and get that flat wave. Look it's difficult to do with the straightener for many people, the launch the duo takes out the hard factor and it's just a nice tool. The other tool that I'm using is the Hot Tools, professional waiver, and what I like about this is. It has a knob here that you can make deep waves or little waves, which I'm going to do with a little wave to start the laduo. It'S uh got temperature control, which is great. It also has a built-in fan, I'm not going to use it. I usually do, but when I'm filming it makes so much noise that I don't use it, but what it does is it just blows cool air out through these little holes and it cools the curl as you style. It'S a nice touch, you're going to want to start from the bottom, so get everything pinned up. The first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to section this little piece from the bottom and I'm going to OK everything out of the way I'm using my Ladue and I'm going to hold it vertically and you're going to want to take the curl away From the face and give it a half turn, my hair is really short on the sides here, so I'm not going to get as flat of a curl as I want, but basically I want to make sure that I don't curl the edges. I really want to leave the ends nice and flat, I'm just taking about a half inch section and I'm going to this time. I'M going to put that in there and I'm going to bring it forward and again I don't want to pull the curl all the way through to make a curl. I want those ends to stay flat, so you need to watch and make sure that the ends are staying flat and then I just like to release it and pull straight down and it's going to give me a flat end and because it wasn't the iron, it Is sealed, which is nice, it's going to give it Shine when you go opposite way with curls? What that creates is more of an undone look when you're going to come out and finger comb through the curls if they're all going the same way. You'Re, basically, are just going to get a big wave going back. I do love about the duo. Is it has an automatic clamp, so you don't have to hold it, which is nice. So once you get the hair in there, you don't have to worry about holding it really tight, like you would with a straight iron. Now my hair is super short in the back. So basically I can just get some like curls back here. I'M going to pop those in real quick on the other side, I'm going to start with this section right in front of the ear and we're going to go back away from the face. You always want to go away from the face in the front now, if your hair is long enough, just open up and bring it straight down again we're going to go forward straight down. If it's, if it looks like it's going to be too big, immediately pull on it, while it's warm and it will just bring that curl down, move up a section so get everything out. Everything else put it up on top out of your way. So for this next middle section, what I like to do is this is where I like to incorporate that beach waiver, but always in the front around my face, I use a curl. I want it to look a little bit more smooth around my face. I like to put in a wave and what this is going to do, is it's going to create volume and also give a little bit of that undone look. I really want this to look messy and not too pretty okay. Last section going to start here in this front piece, so I'm going to take my leduo and I'm going to come away with one turn. I'M going to hold it here, really let that curl set I'm going to bring it out and twist. So it's going to leave a Twist right in the middle and I'm going to pull slightly so that my ends are in the flat iron again we're keeping it vertical and then you're going to bring it straight down. So what I'm going to get here is a nice wave with a nice flat piece on the end, since we're on the top we're going to want these to go away from the face, grab and turn drop it out and twist back down until the ends are In the flat iron straight down going down and not out, I've already got the out built up underneath, so these are going to lay on top giving us great volume. My hair is short in the back they're just going to be basically curls. It'S going to be fine in the end, because it's all going to be roughed up with some wax away from the face. One turn drop, it out, keep tension and as it slides through down just keeping those ends. Sealed you want to take about half inch sections. If you take bigger sections and if your hair is thick you're not going to get the curl all right once all your curls are in, you want to wait, make sure they are completely cool before you mess with them or touch them that way they stay. I always like to go through and make sure I didn't miss any areas. You know like a straight piece hanging down or whatever. Okay, so once you're completely cooled down, take a wide tooth comb, even your fingers - and you can just lightly start to go through and you want to break up those curls and waves once you've broken them up. Then that you're going to bring in your product I'm going to use the dry texture spray today from Redken, which this is awesome. If you like separation, this works really well. Spray wax is a good one or Pomade is another good one. Anything that you can just put through your ends, that's going to separate out these curls to have that product worked through, and you are satisfied that you're getting some separation. Then you can just use your fingers to finish how you want your hair, I'm going down the middle today, so I'm going to pull some down closer around my face. Use your fingers to separate curls. These are your best styling AIDS. A lot of people don't use their fingers enough, but once your hair is styled, don't touch it again. You tend to touch your hair a lot during the day your hairstyle is going to get oily and dirty our hands are filthy and they have oils on them. So once your hair is styled where you want it and you like it finish it off with your prefer hairspray and go you're good to go, you don't need to keep touching your hair. It looks fantastic. I hope you had a great time and enjoyed this tutorial for short wavy bomb talk soon.
