Hi I'm rudonna from boys and girls hairstyles. Today I have Lisa with me um. She is a super dear friend and she has been my client for 25 years now and so we've had tons of fun through the year. She is an amazing person, so I want to show you her cute pixie style um, and I want to tell you guys. A couple of people have said: hey what is a pixie style? What, If It's, when um? Usually it's short here, but the new in thing with Pixies is to have um your friends like a side, bang and long in the front and a little bit longer on the sides which is Lisa's cut. So I wanted to show you guys that okay, I'm just going to clean this little bit up right here so anyway, um yeah, that's a pixie! Sometimes Pixies can be a little bit longer on the top. If you want so you can change it up, um. It doesn't have to be a certain way. It can be uh different, but I love love, Lisa's, um and she's had it even shorter than this Holly. Yes, we've definitely had it shorter, but it's super fun easy for her um. She gets tons of compliments on it, which is excellent. I love that when she tells me all about that she's, actually uh dance teacher, a drill, team teacher, she's been doing High School drill team for years and years and anyway she's amazing, but they they've gone to New York and things like that and she gets compliments. All over so it makes me feel happy, but um, let's put a big thing in there. She knows how to style her hair. Also so it looks good everywhere she goes so she definitely always has it looking amazing. So because it's easy, oh you're, sweet but hey easy is good right. We love that um. So what I'm doing is I'm just point cutting into this. You guys um, it's a 90 degree kind of just pulled straight out from the head. Obviously, obviously back here is where I like to go Tighter and with Lisa's Hair um. At the end, I always like to take um my clippers too and just kind of clean. It up back here and I'll show you that, after after a little bit so you can see I'm kind of blending this in back here um and doing it on an angle and some people on a pixie like it even kind of shaved back here. Um and that's fine, we don't shave hers, but what I do like I say I do take the Clippers up in there. Um just to blend it in good saddle, definitely show you that in a little bit now Lisa has um. If I could say it, it's perfect hair I've had a lot of people come and say I want Lisa's haircut and, and you know I can cut it like Lisa's um, but learning how to style it and obviously first thing is to have the type of hair That Lisa has, which is rare, so that's kind of hard, but she does have amazing hair um. It'S straight. She does have a lot of it um, so we have to texture a lot a lot um. I texture it with the fine thinning shears and the chunky, thinning, shears, um. Definitely, okay now and I'll. Show you back here what I do with the Clippers in a little bit: okay, so the top we're going to hold this up chunk into this with Lisa's Hair um, like I said it's straight, she has a lot of it, but so that means it can get Heavy so definitely want lots of texture in there and varieties of links so like that chopping into that. That'S what you want! You don't want it to look the same okay so same over here. Just pick that up and kind of chop into that. That'S the best word I can think chop now. She does like her side longer. So what I'm going to do is just hold this out and I'm just going to kind of trim and point cut into that. So I don't take a lot of length because we're keeping the length, but it's always good to trim. So you can see I'm just kind of Point cutting into that trimming. A little okay same here, just point cut that a tiny bit. Okay. Now this side same thing: we're going to hold this out just point cut into that trim it a tiny bit and you can see those layers just go down into that length. Okay same over here point cut into that a tiny bit a little bit of length. Okay, now another important part is her bang area. We want to kind of come through here, open and shut the shears just so it's a little bit shorter up through here, but she does like it a little longer, so I'm not going to take it way way. Short, but I am coming up into here to make shorter hairs, so it's shorter, but these long pieces in between and then what I do is after I dry it. If we feel like they need to go a little shorter, then we go a little shorter. Okay, so these are the fine teeth, so I'm just going to come kind of through the bottom, closer to the scalp and about halfway out here and then I'll show you what I do with the other texturizing shears, okay and then just a little bit back through Here: okay, now the chunky shares we're gon na come up through here and do a lot in this top. Like I said, Lisa has tons of hair um. If we don't give it a lot of texture um, I don't know if I say this, I don't mean this in a bad way. I want to be a granny one day, but we don't want granny hair. So, yes, helmet, that's way better way, better. Okay. So we don't want helmet hair, thank you Lisa, and so that's why I'm coming out through the ends and of course you want to have enough hair to do this, because you don't want to take a ton off, but we definitely don't want helmet hair. So we want those different lengths and we want it to stand up for Lisa. That'S another thing is it makes it easier to style, so, okay, I'm just going to comb that hair out. Okay. Now I take a comb that is um tight here and I come through here and I just take this a little tighter um and I don't want this to start poking out on Lisa because she has so much hair. So, just at this bottom - and you can see me move my comb like this, so I'm going to come in and kind of move the comb out. If you leave the comb in too much you'll take too much length off um and maybe just starting out. You want to do this and kind of go up like this, so this is why I do this. Is it Blends it back here because it's so thick, so it definitely helps it blend, but she doesn't have that you know getting bulky and poking out by the time she comes back. She does get her hair trimmed um once a month. Just so you know kind of what the upkeep is, so you can see how that just tightens it there a little bit. Okay, sweet all right. Now we are going to do a mousse foreign. You can see. I don't really even have to put anything down here. It'S just up through this area. Okay, now we will dry it up back and forth. Give that movement. You dry it in the same spot, um it well. It can look like a helmet, so the one you move it back and forth back and forth. The better off you'll be to go back and forth with this we'll try Eric and your your fingers this up here just dries straight down. You can just dry it down, okay, something because the fingers back and forth foreign just like Thanksgiving. She brings in a cute note and a treat saying thanks for all, I do for him. Awesome, remember just saying it out, so you can see how I'm just moving the blow dryer in my hands and back and forth back and forth. Okay, so you can see how that seriously just stands up on its own okay. Now, what we're gon na do is take the shine Pomade and I'm going to take a little chunk of this okay and I'm sure I'm gon na have to do more on hers because she has lots of hair okay. So I rub this in here: grab at it that just feels so good like a little massage good, good, good, so glad, okay, just rubbing it in again, coming through her sides to piece her sides out. I know you probably just want me to do this for a while right, keep going keep going about 30 minutes yeah, okay, I am going to turn her to the mirror, so I can see kind of what I'm doing here cute please. I always have to double triple quadruple check her sides. Sometimes the one day she went home and she'd call she's like can I just come just go dang it so yeah the one side was a little long. It happens. So just you know double triple check. It'S fine, it happens after 25 years from Lisa. Don'T know why darn it but okay, so I'm just gon na take the fine um tooth comb and I'm just going to come up through here and back comb that a little okay and then spray and then I'll just kind of place it in that spot. With my fingers here, how do the bangs feel these about right, yeah, okay, okay, so cute? Okay, I'm gon na turn her around, so you guys can see the back also and how I just kind of pulled it out, and then this just stays tight. So cute, hey thanks Lisa! You are amazing, um, darling, hair, she's darling. So thank you and you guys thanks for your support, it's so fun to get to know you guys um. I hope you enjoyed the cut. If you have any questions, let me know, and I will get back to you as soon as I can see you next time. Thanks

Tammy Ellis: Hi RaDona! I just recently found your channel & I absolutely LOVE it, especially the pixie cuts as that’s my hair style. I’ve been taking you along to my salon visits so my stylist has an idea of what I want. You are AMAZING. As others have said, wish you lived closer. I would so be contacting you. In some of your past videos you talk about volume shampoos. What volumizing shampoo/conditioner would you recommend for fine, thin hair. Any other other product recommendations for this hair type would be appreciated. My pixie cut used to be super short but the last few months I’ve been growing it a little longer & have noticed my hair seems dryer. Thank you for producing such a wonderful, informative channel.

Donna DeSisto: Lisa looks great! I love how she can leave it long on the sides. What a head of hair! Wish I could leave my sides long on my pixie. It grows to a certain point and I want it off! Always fun watching you.

I'll wear it short for a few years then I grow it out a few years n when I can't take it anymore I chop it all off lol. I have a new grandson now. He's 2 months old. So I think I'll start my shirt cycle a bit early so he can't pull it lol
