Hi guys welcome back to my YouTube channel. I wanted to start off 2023 with a hairstyle video trust me when I say that I know how frustrating it is to do your curly hair in the morning when you've got no time before work before school. For many years in my previous career, I absolutely hated having curly hair, mainly because of the morning before work. Every time I did a hairstyle, it didn't look right, it looked frizzy and all it did was make me want to just straighten my hair, because I knew at least then the predictability of how my hair was going to look and feel, and I'm here to hopefully Make this easier for you, so you can have healthy hair! You can embrace your naturally curly hair for 2023 and have easy hairstyles that aren't complicated, don't take up time in the morning and actually look good but yeah without further Ado, let's get into the hairstyle okay. This hairstyle is going to be super easy. I start off all of my hairstyles prepping, my hair with some oil or serum. This is one from Superdrug in the UK. It'S very inexpensive. I think it's like two pounds I like to prep my hair just to juice. As much breakage as possible - and it also really helps with frizz in this first hairstyle we're going to be using a banana clip, this one is from Amazon and it has the little tie, which I find very helpful, and I'm going to show you exactly how I Put this in my hair, and it is so so easy and it completely elevates your ponytail that it looks like I have extensions in and yes, these banana clips have been out for ages, like maybe the 70s or even before that I have had people tell me In the past, especially on Instagram, that banana clips really hurt them and they're not comfortable, I'm going to show you how to make it as comfortable as possible, and I can wear these for hours these ones. These do not hurt me at all. I'M gon na leave some bits out, so we can decide what to do with those in a minute. The best hacker can give you is to actually tie it first, so tying your hair up just in a loose scrunchie. So you want to take the middle of the banana clip to the nape of your neck. With the prongs facing your head, we want to close the clips together, but to make it less tight gently pull the hair at the bottom. For some flexibility do not close the clip too far apart, so go a little closer, so there's less hair that you're pulling now clip at the top, putting the tie around the ball. Absolutely fine. It'S not tugging at my hair, the magic we're just going to take the scrunchie out. It gives so much volume and it just looks like I have a lot more length than I do. Everyone'S going to choose to wear these front pieces a lot differently. A lot of the time I know people do want hair off their face, but they don't always want to scrape it back. I'M going to take some more serum, but you can also use gel or you can use a cream whatever you want to kind of smooth it Down, Smooth down the frizz, I'm going to plait each side. I'M now gon na cross these plaits over like this, then I'm going to tuck the ends into the banana clip. If you're struggling to do this, you can just grip. I actually prefer to try and tuck it into the banana clip. So I don't have to try and hide a clip in my hair. What it does is it kind of elevates the top. So if you're one of those people that don't like to just slick your hair back, this is quite a nice option. I think it looks really cute and we've got a lot of wispy bits. So, let's just sort these out now. What I like to do is take an eyebrow, spoolie brush and just hair spray. The end with any hairspray I just like to tidy any wispy bits. Another little hack of your noticing that the back is quite frizzy. Obviously frizz is normal. With curly hair you're always going to have a little bit frizz, it's not bad. You can just use a bit of oil spray like shine spray. This is from Amica. I love this and it's just so easy to apply and that just might help control a little bit the frizz. So the next book I want to show you is basically very similar to this, but wearing your hair, half up half down. So if you want to have a little bit of length at the same time, I can show you how this comes out flip, the top. You know you take the top bit off and then you just gently take it out, I'm going to show you how easy it is done. I have a smaller banana clip as well, so this is the one we just used, but you can also use this for a ponytail, the smaller one, but I find with my hair. This is better for a half up half down. You know in your half up half down where you can sometimes see a lot of the scalp. Here'S a trick to that we're going to do the same process so we're going to take a silk scrunchie. The banana clips are really going to help. You not see your scalp go upwards like that, just gently, so The Parting is like going up, we're going to tie it, and obviously this is a nice hairstyle. You can just keep the scrunchie in, but I just love how a banana clip makes a ponytail look and it's gon na look like we have more hair on top we're going to do exactly the same process, I'm going to start it a bit further down flip The hair back push it in then take the scrunchie out fluff it out how you need, but I just love this hairstyle and it is so simple and yes, you can use a normal silk scrunchie, but I just feel like it gives me so much more volume At the back and then I would just do the same things that I did just then hairspray on a spoolie just tidying up any bits and then some shine spray. If you want this, one is my favorite. It is so easy you guys, honestly, you would probably wear this hairstyle if you quite like how your hair looks or maybe it's not got enough volume you like the curls and you kind of want to have them out. So I take these pieces and just for time being going to tie this to that by the way these little silk scrunchies these black ones. I got for Christmas and I'm obsessed with them they're from boots. You don't have to put any product on your hair at all. You can actually do this while you're at work like it's literally that quick, but I am going to use a bit of oil just because I do want to make sure my hair is protected and all you're going to do is plait these pieces of hair. Now, I'm just tying them at the front like a beard um with a little elastic and we are done. This is the look not many joking now you're gon na flip it back. If you want all your hair back, obviously include the front, if not just put it through you're, quite literally just gon na. Do that literally just like that, it doesn't pull just make sure you don't tie it too tight. Then it's obviously going to pull your skin, but but it's tight at the back. It'S not going anywhere and you just take out the scrunchie. How cute is that and so easy? I feel like a princess I'll, just show you the back foreign I feel like. It looks like a lot more effort has gone into this than it has I'm not going to keep spraying this the whole time, because this whole bottle will be on my hair by the end of the video. But let's pretend if there was first yeah, I'm absolutely loving how this turned out. What do you think I feel like it would be criminal if we didn't include a claw clip in the video somewhere? I like to cheat a cool clip. I'M gon na pretend that my hair is held up with the entire clip. I think doing it. This way can give you the illusion of more hair or more length to make sure that my hair's still not being pulled by like a hair tie. I will use like a little silk scrunchie, nothing too thick. This is perfect, this one's from boots, so I've already used this in the video. Also something I hate is when you, if you actually just use the cool clip and then this bit starts to come down, and it's like that. I really don't like that. I'M tying it three times now spread the pony out. So you can see the middle of the pony and then put the claw clip right in the middle with the hair on either side you can adjust it a little bit, but it looks great every time this was so easy. What it gives is predictability, because when you tie it, you know how it's going to turn out. There'S no worrying that the clip's gon na fall out and if you didn't want these bits down in your face, continue to make sure I have that middle part here, because I think it makes it look really nice. I would brush them like that and pin. I would go in with my hairspray and spoolie. I think this looks so nice and that's that this is something I started doing, because when I wanted to just clip half of my hair back without you know anything fancy it just always felt like the distribution. Was it right like the proportions one right for me like if I just clip my hair and pinch it here? It just looks funny to me always wanted more volume up here, a bit like what we got with the banana clip, but this is just a different way of doing it, especially if you don't want to use a banana clip. So, instead of just having this, which is out, this is totally fine. If you want to wear your hair, like this, of course, but to actually solve the issue with like not having that proportion right we're going to take three of these mini claw Clips, I'm gon na put all my hair back for this and we're gon na. Take three sections so we're going to take one two three, and this just gives the perfect proportion to add that volume and dimension in the hairstyle, and we are just going to clip it up like this and we're going to put the clip in this way. Not like that, like this, I'm going to almost like push it up. Okay, like that, now we're going to take the middle put it in the same, and now we're going to take the side, and it just creates the exact proportion and like hair distribution that I want. I can't seem to get just with a singular clip. It'S so simple: I just love how it looks like this is like the perfect half up half down it's similar sort of result you get with the banana clip, but it gives you that more rounded effect at the Top. If you can see because of the distribution of the clips, this doesn't hurt. I absolutely love this look, and I wear this a lot. You probably see me in this hairstyle a lot on my Instagram another little hack for you. If you don't get as much volume as you're, seeing that I'm getting with this top bit, try it first, because I think you'll be surprised how much volume it gives putting the clip in this way. If you don't have as much volume is to take more of the same Flip It Forward and then put these clips in on the inside like underneath, and it will help that's given me a bit too much um but like if you're struggling. That really helps with volume and that will just Elevate the top layer for you a little bit more. I also feel like this. Could look really cute with a headband might be a bit much. No, I think it's cute, you know I really like it so cute, and that is everything guys. I really hope you like the Styles, please let me know in the comments which one was your favorite.
