Relaxer Care And Natural Hair Care | Work With Me

W online, so we are doing a work with me today. We'Re gon na get our day started, which took me a little bit of running around and all that good stuff, but everything's fine, all right. So we are going to talk about relaxer care, um and natural hair care today, because I have a couple of different clients today, um, I won't be going live tomorrow. So just some updates. Secondly, don't forget to thumbs up this live as you come in please, and thank you and then let's talk about my live recording schedule because it's going to change a little bit um for the better, because I do need to start back with my voice over videos Where I can be very specific and detailed um in my videos, where I'm able to start teaching again without it being a six seven and eight nine hour, video okay, so what will be happening is I will only be going live on some days of my salon. Schedule and on other days I will be recording so that I can upload those voice over videos um on specific topics. So I will not be live tomorrow. Um I'll be live today, but I won't be live tomorrow. So that is going to be how the recording schedule is going to work, because I have to start back recording my content on my channel for learning purposes. Right going live is great, I love it. I do, but I still need to be able to teach um, which is something else that I love to do indirectly. Okay, so that's kind of what's Happening, um, just a little update of what I'm doing so right now, I am spraying down her highlights that she has, with some Hydra strength, leave-in spray. So this is our leave-in conditioner. The reason why I'm spraying down her highlights is because you do still want to protect those highlights, even though we're not really touching them. But at some point we have to rinse her hair and we don't want the relaxer to start to touch those areas because relaxer over highlights don't necessarily work. They don't go together, it's a form of hair removal, Okay, so that is the reason why I'm spraying. Some of our Hydra strength, leave-in conditioner. Now you can spray any of our leave-in conditioners over your clients highlights or color service. This is just an added protection. Okay, now is it going to take the place of your Technique? No still have to know um what you're doing in most sense. Can you tell me why we, why are they saying that all perms now or today are cancerous? I'M not going to I'm not even discussing it? That'S not my place. You probably need to talk to the relaxer company, I'm not talking about that. Let'S see one more thing: is there a special relaxer that you use? I use a firm um if you know anything about my channel. I don't talk actual relaxer, so we're going to talk more about the care for your hair when you're relaxed, because the reason why I don't talk about relaxers or chemicals like that is because it's a professional service, it's not something that you should be doing at home. Hence the reason why I don't even like to go into too much detail as to the type of relaxer and all of that stuff. I just don't that's something that I highly recommend leaving to a professional. It'S just. I have respect for My My Craft and my career and my industry now some stylists they're okay, with sharing that with you and then you run out and buy it, and you know you take their advice and you use it. I am not the maker of these relaxers, so I will not talk about these relaxers. I peel off the residual adhesive from what I used the day before and I apply them again the next day, so these lashes have been used. Three times I can usually use one lash for about a week and then I'll throw it away and I take them off every single day. I do not sleep in my lashes, you see, I have a low-key mean spirit. I am so sorry, I'm not for everyone. Maybe my spirit doesn't like yours, so you probably should unsubscribe. I can't stand it. You guys call it a mean Spirit when it's straight to the point. Hence the reason why it's Majin and I read my channels being organic me: I'm not gon na sit here and give you fluff some of you book these stylists and you think that they're so absolutely amazing. Oh my gosh. She is so sweet and then you come and see her and she talks to you like you, a dog on the street. No, how I talked now is how I talk or speak can use the right word, so it usually yeah what kind of um I want to wait until I'm, not so chaotic in these jobs and trying to juggle and yeah. I know you know. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do yeah you do these babies in college yeah, yeah, you're right without all these student loans that I need to get paid off right now and I refuse to let my babies come out like that yeah I told My kids that one when they go to college they will not have student loans. So that's why I do what I got to do right now. I direct you until my kids, the same thing. Student loans would never happen again and I think a lot of people have gotten to that much as soon as long as there's a debt, it's a debt longer than your mortgage yeah. I just thank God. You allow the ability for me to be asleep. I'M like thank you absolutely and I wanted to have to work while she went to school because I did it and I know it's hard enough going to school, so yeah working and you got all your life to work. Chad yeah, especially if it's something where you study a lot um like going to med school and all that yeah, you can't work, I'm going to Mexico or Law School she's in nursing yeah, but that one's a lot too um. She wants to be a nurse a practitioner. Nurse anesthetist is that the anesthesiologists anesthesiologist period get paid the most money in the field. I never understood why but salary right. I guess because they have to actually learn the entire body and they're going to keep people alive. You have to know what anesthesia does to every part of the body um practice for years, but now I'm into the I.T side of things they're giving you props they're like you go mom. Thank you. Is they think that you are supposed to adjust your tone to their level in everything that you say you are supposed to speak it in their language? The only time I adjust my tone is three places and I'm gon na tell you the three number one. When I talk to my parents, I am a little girl. When I talk to my parents, that's just me number two. When I talk to my mate, I cannot talk to him with this monotone tone and we are both toning Alpha together, okay and number three, when I talk to children and babies, because you have to talk to a child or a baby in a language that they Can understand when I will not adjust. My tone is when I'm talking to a big grown person on YouTube. I am so sorry how I say it is how I say it. I am not your friend, I am not your mate, I am not your child. Stop taking everything personally get over that part of life, stop taking everything personal once we all get that factor in you start noticing how things change you stop taking everything personal everything is not about you. Now you have to have a certain number of trees per property. You know you're gon na have to find something: herbal herbalistic that you can take foreign. I tried um oil of oregano. Oh I used to try that years ago. It was just nasty for no reason. I just can't see myself doing it again. I used to be burping it all day, long anything that happened to me. Oh my God yeah. I can't I can't do it again. It was so absolutely correct. How can you tell her what relaxing cause child people get wrapped up in the wrong stuff? Hi, all right, so what I'm doing is just going through and smoothing out the new growth area. My allergies are off the chain. Yes, everybody, and sometimes your allergies are so bad. It portrays itself as a cold. That'S the worst part when you can't tell the difference. Good morning, maybe for my dog too yeah them too, specifically Prince because he sheds hair without he can just walk and shed hair. So yeah, it's from my dog too. But what can I do? Throw him out? My family would have a whole fit. So that's not gon na happen and the only time my allergies will really act up is, if I'm in a small and a very enclosed space with Prince. So it doesn't really bother me. I hear that a lot about my tone and how I speak is the point I'm over it. You get over that fast. Some people will perceive your tone as being you are just straight to the point. Others will perceive the tone as you'd have such a mean spirit. I didn't know that my tone told you my spirit. Does tone tell you spirit. So if you were born with a deep tone, does that mean each other means first, okay, so tone really has nothing to do with it. You listen to the tone when you're talking to someone in an intimate setting. That'S when tone matters when you're talking to your man, you can tell how his tone sound when your man is talking to you. He can read through your tone, but not a perfect stranger who knows nothing about you and you're talking through words like. Let'S make it make sense, that's like another that you don't read tone in the text message because you'll be thrown off people try to re. Oh, that is the worst you're trying to read my tone through words um the only time you can read my tone through words, if I send you emojis, I said a mad face, so I'm showing you a picture of my tongue or I'm speaking in all caps. That'S yelling or expressive all right. My love go ahead and just sit at the shampoo bowl you're, not gon na go back you're just gon na sit. Oh I'm ready everywhere, I'm just laying here looking at listening. I say to myself because people say the same about me: I'm not mean, though I guess it's just the tone of my voice happens. She'Ll be fine. What kind of dogs do I have? I have a Frenchie bulldog, which still is categorized as an American Bully. Both of them are American bullies, but cash is actually a Frenchy. Bulldog. Prince is a pit bull bulldog, so we have two American bullies, but they are of two different characteristics: two totally different characteristics. Cash has very Frenchy tendencies: extreme, like the Tantrum. They think they're smarter than you they try to outsmart you and cash will break your knees. If you're, trying to like get to him Prince, has the pitbull head with a bulldog body he's very short: cash has the Frenchy head with the Bulldog body, so they're, two totally different personalities, but Prince is the one that cash cannot play with Prince. How often should you wash your hair when you have a protective style in technically you really shouldn't be washing your hair with that protective styling, because that is how you get mold and bacteria growing, because it would never dry. So, even when you think it's dry, it's not so I'm gon na be honest. If you ever protect the styling for that long, you probably need to lessen the amount of time that you have it rather than trying to wash it like sew-ins. I see people watch those I used to watch them, but really and truly, is it ever 100 dry in there? No, and that's why the hair stinks when you're going to take it out and it takes a very long time to get that sent out. So I would probably say to lower the length of time that you have that protective Style rather than trying to wash that protective Style, hi Carolyn in chat. Can you tell me why it is when your natural, your hair, gets matted, but when you're relaxed your hair doesn't get matted, but when you're relaxed it's exactly that it's relaxed. So it's straight, whereas when you're natural, there's ridges and bumps and lumps and Tangles and curls remember natural hair is a curl or a zigzag. The more tangling you have, the more curly your hair typically is now, if it's a tighter curl that comes with the territory, but I always say just like yesterday, with planning a successful Hair Care Journey. Detangling is very important. You should actually be detangling every single day that is going to get your curl pattern to understand that it needs to kind of release and relax. Now some curl patterns, you can't train some curl patterns like four c's. They are not trainable, that's just what you were given, whereas relaxed here. It'S just that it's relaxed the cuticle is straight, so it doesn't have anything to tangle around my mom has an old school Jerry curl. How often should she wash it and can she use your product she's 75.? Well, with Jerry curls, I actually recommend using the Jerry Curl products for the particular type of Jerry curl that she used, whether it be leisure, curl or whoever. I was sick with their products because they're really made to maintain that actual that service um. Let me see first time watching how did you maintain relaxed hair during stretches product recommendations? There'S no stretching of a relaxer relaxer should be retouched from weeks between week. Six and week 20. week, 12. and actually 12 weeks is a very large gap. I usually say six to ten weeks, because at that point you have anywhere between a centimeter to an inch of New Growth. Once you get past that inch, that's just neglect, because now you're telling your hair that you needed to do something else, so maintaining the relaxed hair in between that six to ten week period. When it's time for your next relaxer, you should be shampooing and conditioning and deep conditioning every two weeks, that's every seven to 14 days. You should be doing a deep conditioner a wash blow those roots out roller set it whatever you choose to do, and then you wrap your hair at night. That is how you get it to the next two weeks. Then you do your next wash day with treatment. That'S kind of the the the schedule that you should go on these lives are so relaxing and so interesting to watch really cool that you do these. Everyone is not for everybody which natural hair do you tame sprouting Grays with natural hair? How do you tame sprouting Grace Alexa off um? You honestly can't really tame them. Gray is its own hair, texture and own hair color, and it's not really something that you can tame taming. It would require a chemical service to be very honest, texturizing. It is what will cause it will tame it, but not everybody wants to have a texturizer. Some people want to remain natural and what you have, what texture you have in your gray is just what texture you have and I'm sorry to say that, but gray hair is a beast all by itself. I would suggest, though, we have a hair care class on our Elite Hair Care website. It'S called how to care for gray hair, and it teaches you, the anatomy of gray, hair and understanding gray, hair, the care for gray hair, all that good stuff. Sorry, mom um, that class is 30 off. Your hair, before you damage it, there's no way I'd be able to answer that question, mainly because it really just depends on your hair and how your hair is reacting to how your hair is reacting to um. What you're doing so, there's not really a time frame. You have to just kind of watch your hair to see what your hair is doing and understand when to slow down or back off. When the bond looks like it's breaking uh. What I'm spraying her down with is a little bit of our B7 leave-in conditioner. That is our Biotin and volumizing leave-in conditioner she's going to go under the dryer to air dry so that we can style her. So what I'm going to do is just kind of calm her down and I comb them in the direction that I plan on styling them um, just to kind of give the hair a little bit of direction, but you can just literally go under the dryer. This is just to air dry, you guys, so it's not to style you or anything like that, but I prefer to air dry my clients than directly blow dry them into the dryer. Okay, there you go good. If you have to put heat, like maybe the first day or the second day, if it kind of just puffs up a little bit yeah and you're, trying to tame it back down, but after that no you're not supposed to okay, well good! I do this. Okay, you're not so you're, not even supposed to go back and try to like stretch it out. You run the risk of it not being able to come back. Okay and I don't want to break it off. It worked, you know, but I think, as I've gone through all these hormonal changes, my strands seem to be even finer and the way you mature in age so does your hair and that attachment to my scalp isn't as strong as it used to be smart. What'S going on, I'm at work on life, Hotwire? Okay, all right, you guys! So what I've done so far is she had? Oh, she had a ponytail in her hair um and then she I apparently used some gel right um. No, it wasn't gel. It was like some stuff for a pony. I can't even tell you the name of it right now, but she used something that made it into her hair kind of firm on the outside, and I always tell you guys whenever you're gon na start your wash day. Your first goal is to rinse the hair as much possible, so rinse out as much of that product that you have in your hair before you go and apply your clarifying shampoo, which is your Elite clarify or any other shampoo for that matter. The reason for that is shampoo, yes, it's made to clean, but it's easier and you use less product when you rinse out the hair, you thoroughly saturate the hair and you get out as much of that excess product, as you can out of the hair. Before you start the shampoo process, that number one is going to save you a lot of time in your wash day, number two is going to ensure that you're, not using a ton of shampoo that is unnecessary and number three is going to make sure that you Have a somewhat cleaner canvas to work with at the beginning. That'S also going to be the time where you evaluate your hair to see if you have any breakage any damage or anything of that nature before you start your shampoo process. So what I'm using right now is the elite clarify to clarify shampoo, hair or cleanse her hair in her scalp, and then we will use the moist repair for her shampoo and then we'll be silk pressing her today. So just want to make sure that I'm giving her a good clean first, because soap prices do not work well with heavy hair, so you don't want the hair to be extra oily. My hair was like a feather last time. I got so many compliments on how it was just blowing in the wind. So that's good, that's very good and I couldn't believe how long it lasted. How long did it I mean you know, with the exception of my little Roots, my hair was pretty much straight. The entire time, and then it ended up just doing its own reversion yeah, like my roots, got kind of thick, but the rest of my strand was straight. I think the roots was only that way, because it's so close to your heat pump. So right and I was kind of doing some work around the house, so I was sweating gotcha, some moist repair shampoo. You guys notice. I only used about a quarter to not even a silver dollar size, but you don't need a ton of shampoo okay get out of get that out of your mind that the more shampoo you use the cleaner, the hair is that that's not how it works. The more shampoo you use the more product you've wasted and the more sud you now have to rinse down the sink and rinse out of the hair. You interior you, okay, I'm itchy scratch, please so she's itchy, my nails are sharp because I just got them done so I'm going to use the scalp agitator to really get into that itch. I'M sure it's usually up right in here somewhere. Why is I'm always there? That'S where all your tension is that's where your ponytail was too so. Okay. Is that better much? This is also going to help elongate her hair so that when we go to do her silk press, her hair is partially stretched. Oh, you can do that. Like that's considered a deep conditioner, you can pick one, but you got to be mindful. Your hair is fine. In texture too, so some conditioners are too heavy, so I don't need to do that every time, not necessarily, but if you choose to you can, but I didn't see it on your appointment. Okay, so you choose. If you want to do a deep condition. Yes, sometimes it might not be a deep condition. Sometimes it might be a protein, but you have to kind of use that knowledge that you have of what your hair has been doing over the past few days. That'S how you determine what treatment you want shedding. It'S been shedding like over and I'm not talking like a couple strands here now. I know I know what you mean real life sheddy right like like panic mode chatting, then. Yes, you can also do like five minute conditioning with fine texture here. Sometimes the deep conditioning can make it too heavy, so you can do five minute conditioning where you put it on with a processing cap. Well, when I first came in you're talking about how dry my hair is okay and then, on top of that, you had some type of product on it too, so you can't determine dryness. 100. You'Ve already had something to make it Sleek right, it's better like if you were dry before you made it sleek, and you knew that at that point it was just wow crunchy, it's gon na end up crunchy. Okay, so you'll feel it. But if you go and put like a product on it, where you're doing a ponytail you're never going to be able to judge right if it's dry or not, because that product could just be drying, it could have alcohol. But if you are coarse, textured relaxed, then I wouldn't say use it. Sometimes, if you're fine textured, but you are natural - that hair is still kinky coily.
