Hey: what's up everyone, it's me Narada African, hair God, I'm here to give you the biggest video ever I am going to be going over all of the favorite products that I love to use here in my salon in Decatur Georgia, The Green Thumb Salon, which has Been in business over nine years now going on 10 and I'm gon na be covering everything um and I'm going to give my thoughts on all the products um and why I, like them, and things of that sort, um, I'm just going to give a quick few Disclaimers here before we get started, this video is going to be pretty lengthy because it's a lot of products. I would not be surprised if this video ends up being 45 minutes or an hour, but we're going to try to run through as quickly as possible. Okay, first of all, thank you all so much for watching and checking out the video. I really appreciate it if you enjoyed this, please give it a thumbs up. It just shows your appreciation and outside of that I really couldn't care less, because I got my what my plane button in the corner. Thank you all. So much for helping me get that once again, um. My salon. Information is always posted in the video description. So there's no need to ask where I'm located: it's always there um. Also, what's going to be, there is um some links of some of these products, not all of them, but some if I can find the links on Amazon be sure to post them with my um affiliate link so that um I can get a commission if you Purchase from Amazon, if you choose to, if not that's perfectly fine, I just want you to be able to have a place of reference, find out more information about the product, see what the ingredients are and things like that if you're concerned with that sort of thing And um yeah any videos that I may reference in this in this video um pertaining to Hair Care like how to detangle moisturize things like that I'll, be sure to link those in the description as well. So everything is going to be in the description. This is a lot of work for me. I don't like going back and posting stuff in the description. I know that's what y'all like okay, so don't have me waste my time just to go in the comments section and ask me million to 10 questions. That'S already in the description, because, if I, if I snap and go off like you know, I'm not even gon na do that, because it's 2023 we're gon na we're gon na be positive this year, I'm just going to ignore you. Okay, I'm just gon na ignore you and I don't want you to feel some type of way because you ignored me when I told you to go to the description. Okay with that being said, one more description, um disclaimer before we get started, um y'all, know that I am not a Avid product Pusher. Okay, I I do not um stress the importance of products. For me, products do serve their purpose and they do have their value, but for me I find that the biggest importance to overall um, a healthy hair experience is understanding, proper um, Hair Care, proper methods and techniques and understanding proper product knowledge and how to apply said Knowledge, I think, a lot of times on YouTube. We get caught up in oh the science of this and the science of that and the porosity and the curl pattern. The elasticity. In addition to that and the issue that a lot of people come to is that they tend to be really really confused because they don't know how to properly apply said knowledge. They have all the book knowledge but don't know when it's applicable to the situation or to their hair or how to uh be able to comprehend the knowledge that they're just kind of regurgitating from Google. So with that being said, uh my videos are definitely still relevant. They may be years old, but they are still relevant and they still apply and are applicable to everything that I'm saying today and everything moving forward. This is like that's literally the foundation of how I've gotten to this place here, um with my business, having success with my clients, hair being able to grow, maintain and flourish, their hair consistently um, so don't Focus so much on the products and also too just because These products work for me and my clients does not necessarily guarantee that it's going to work and function the same for you um. The way that I do my style, my clients, hair, is probably going to be different from the way you style your hair at home or shampoo, or condition your hair at home um. The way that my clients maintain their hair by not touching it for weeks. At a time, and just spraying it with water here - and there is probably not what you're going to be doing at home, so you have to take all of that into consideration um and just allow the information just take. What applies to you and adjust and translate it for your personal situation in your hair, okay, um with that being said, let's go ahead and get started, so I've tried to keep this as organized as possible. It'S probably like 30 or 40 products up here, so we're I'm just going to run through them really really quickly. Thank you for watching the introduction. I know it's a lot. Let'S start with pre-shampoo, so pre-shampoo, I don't really do too much pre-shampoo treatments. I don't do high oil treatments, I don't do uh pre-conditioning treatments. I don't do anything like that. However, if I do have a client that comes in and say that they need their hair um really really detangled. It'S been matted, it's been like uncomm for weeks or months at a time, I'm going to do a preliminary detangling session with the African Pride pre-shampoo uh treatment. Now this is, I wouldn't even call it a treatment. It'S just it's literally just a detangling product that you can use before you go and hop your ass in the shower and get your hair wet, and then it ends up matting up and tangling up. And then you end up with a rough situation. And then you have the detangle, like cinderell did that little girl um years ago on the watch party um. This is not something that's meant to be left in. I remember I did a watch party or a q a one time and someone was like it made. My hair flake it made my hair flake. It doesn't make your hair like because you're meant to wash this out. Okay, this is a glycerin based kind of um detangling product. It really really softens the hair um so much so it makes it feel really really silky. I find that it works best when you use it with a little bit of water um. It helps the product spread a little bit better because it is a little thick like it's it's a little gelatious, it's thick um, so it just helps it apply, spread better. It does smell good as well um, but uh yeah. This is what I would use. It'S not typically something I use on a regular basis, but in those extreme situations this is what I will reach for. So that is that, let's move on to shampoos, there's only a couple of them um. Actually, I'm missing one. Let me grab it real, quick! Sorry about that. The first I'm going to cover is um, really just clarifying shampoos, um uh, when it comes to you know what not I'm gon na get into that. You have heard me talk about this plenty of times before this is the Fantasia tea tree, natural, shampoo um. This is one of my favorite clarifying shampoos. The reason why we started to gravitate a little bit away from it is because, as you can see, you don't get a lot of product. You get about 12, fluid ounces and I'm not sure what the price point is with these. But they're really really hard to come by as well. We find it pretty easily at our local beauty supply stores here in Atlanta Georgia, however um, if you're somewhere else, um can't guarantee where you're going to be able to find it um. I know you can find this on Amazon online, but it's a little it's a little weird online, fighting it online and stuff, like you, might get a package deal versus like just getting one like. You might just want this shampoo and not the conditioner, which I actually do like the shampoo, more so than the conditioner. The conditioner is really really light, but they're both really heavy and peppermint menthon tea tree and things like that, and it does really a really good job of just like stripping and breaking down stubborn buildup in the hair. So I like that now something that is a little more accessible in terms of clarifying shampoos, is to transmade deep, clean. I'Ve mentioned this a few times on my watch parties and on my videos, but this has been my go-to um for a while. I have been able to find this at Walmart. I do find this a little bit more now in beauty, supply stores and things like that and again, this is the deep clean they have different lines with their Tresemme um again I like this. I like this more so than the tea tree, the Fantasia, because of course, you get more product. It goes a longer way, it's much less expensive. Yes, we use drugstore products here. Yes, it works, it does what it needs to do, which is stripped to hit not stripped it here. It actually clarifies but does not leave the hair stripped and that's another thing that I like about it. So it is considered a clarifying shampoo, but it will not overstrip your hair um. So again, Transformer um and oh, let's do this. One. Nice are all for dandruff. If you have dandruff dermatitis, um psoriasis. What is this? For specifically, it says it's to control, flaking scaling and itching from danger. Okay, so this is specifically for dandruff. This is a Ketoconazole shampoo, um, one percent. When you go to the dermatologist and you tell them that you have scalp issues or inflammation of the scalp more than likely they're going to prescribe you a prescription, strength, kind of condos or shampoo um. So if you have like excessive flaking dandruff and things like that, kind of chromosome shampoo, such as Nizoral, is a really good um shampoo to use to help mitigate now. This is when you're using medicated shampoos. You cannot just use it one time, and let that be that, like this, is you have to use these consistently over a period of time to help um just mitigate in lessen the um extremeness of your flaking and your inflammation of the scalp and things like that. Um, I actually used this when my when my flares would get really bad with my Eczema um, and it definitely did help and work with in that regard. So it does do what it's supposed to do. It is a more expensive shampoo um, I would say, Focus this more so on the scalping throughout the hair. The shampoo is really really drying, but it is necessary for people that have um really really excessively oily um overactive sebaceous glands, with um in in dandruff, and things like that so um. This is something that I do use for uh my clients that do have those issues. Now, once we get their issue under control, we usually don't have to. You know use this too much, but definitely uh just be mindful of the things that you're putting on your scalp. That could be aggravating it think about your diet as well, making sure you're drinking a lot of water. All of those things do play a factor even with my Eczema, I'm learning the importance of diet um in in the things that you're consuming and how it's coming out of your body. So just think about all of that um last shampoo is the Shimmer Lights. This is the um blonde and silver shampoo um. Most people are not going to find a need or use for this unless you have purple hair but um for all of my clients that are of a certain age that have um those gray hairs, that white hair and you want to keep those looking bright and Vibrant you want to show it off to the world you're, not uh. You know insecure about it. This is the shampoo to use, I would say, use this, maybe like once every month or two um. What you do is you want to apply it to your hair. Uh get a good, rich lather leave it on for a couple of minutes, not too too long, and what this is going to do is just cancel out any of the um or um tinge or brassiness. That may be starting to appear on your gray hair and just keep it looking bright, silver, white and vibrant, okay, um. So yeah, it's a it's a toning shampoo um used for color. But if you have white or gray hair, it's great to just keep your your white looking, really really vibrant. Okay, all right with that being said, we're going to go into conditioners! There'S only a couple of up here that I have that we like that we use on a consistent basis when it comes to conditioners and also you may notice. I don't have any like moisture shampoos for the most part when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. I'M not too picky. My biggest thing is just make sure the hair is clean, and I do that with the clarifying shampoos. Um and the moisture shampoos is just to help um start the conditioning process um with um. You know make sure the hair is Thoroughly cleansed, but also make sure that the hair is not thoroughly stripped and starting to put back in what we took out with the clarifying shampoo. So when it comes to shampoos, most shampoos out here are marketed towards natural hair. Is going to be moisturizing, most of the shampoos in the Tresemme line are moisturizing if it's marketed towards curls or Rich moisture, or something like that. It'S a moisturizing conditioning, shampoo, moisturizing conditioning shampoo is the same they're they're literally the same just different. You know terminology or whatever um I use a lot of OGX um, like I said, Tresemme um just about anything, I'm not too particular when it comes to shampoo. So you should not have a hard time with finding a decent shampoo for your natural hair to keep it moisturized conditioned and hydrated it's it's, not the end-all be-all. So, moving on to conditioner um, I only use this once, but I got ta be honest with you, the one time that I did use it. I was like, oh okay, so this um is the TGI and triple moisture, uh replenishing conditioner, and it has shea butter. Argan oil and, of course, some other stuff as well, but, like I said I used it on my client because it was sitting on the nothing, never grabbed it any sometimes buys products and um. You know, sometimes I'm just like I'll just stick without you. I'M used to, but I used this and I was like oh, I do like it and it was. It was really moisturizing. It did apply in the hair really well, I just I loved it overall, like I didn't, have any negative about it and this it says that you can use it as a rinse out or as a deep conditioner. So I'm definitely going to be using this a lot more. I know this why. Why is this in my favorites and I only used it once, but it's literally just that good and y'all probably know because y'all probably used it already, but I do like it. So that's that now y'all heard me talk about this conditioner over and over and over, and you already know what I'm about to pull out. You'Ll know what I'm about to pull up say with me effigy two minute: reconstructor y'all. So again, this is my gentle protein. Based conditioner that I like to this is more of like a balanced um conditioner. It has uh proteins in it, keratin of course, but it also is um a Moisturizing Conditioner as well. It'S not like a hardcore protein treatment where you're literally pouring protein in the hair, letting it dry and harden up or anything like that when I use this on my clients, hair, their hair always comes out feeling really really really really soft um, which is something I Look for I've heard some people say that they've used this and like their hair, was hard chances. Are you probably didn't need it and you were just using it just because, but this is one of those products I don't use on everyone only when I find it applicable to the client in their hair in their situation. So, for instance, if I see that a client um hair has more breakage um has a lot of breakage more breakage than um is normal for their hair or more shedding, I should say um or if I notice that they're having a harder time retaining moisture. Um things of that store or if they're color treated. If I see that their hair is compromised with heat or you know, chemicals or things of that sort. This is what I would go for. I actually never really need to go for a hardcore protein treatment and I would only use the uh two-step Effigy protein treatment in extreme situations, and I never really had a need to do that because well we keep all of our clients hair healthy. So this is just to help maintain um, that level of health and condition in the hair. So I I never really need anything more than this, so this has been more than enough for me. So again, this is a balanced conditioning, strengthening reconstructive treatment. I'M trying I'm trying to make sure. I pick my words carefully all right now, all that out the way now we're going to go into leave-ins, Okay, so leave-ins they're, exactly what it is. It'S a leave-in conditioner for me when I look at leave-ins, I'm just looking for products that are going to assist with um, retaining moisture in the hair, retaining softness in the hair after conditioning uh, adding manageability making it easier for me to you, know: section detangle style, The hair, um and so talked about this on my YouTube short average pro vitamin leave-in conditioner. I got a lot of pushback about that short. I don't know why, because you chose to watch it. I didn't tell you like. I didn't hold a gun to go in, like you, gon na buy this conditioner and you're gon na use it I'm just like. I like it and people got mad about it, but I like the conditioner okay, it's a liquid base. It does have protein, it's balanced. It'S like I said in the short, is uh as manageability to the hair and softness to the hair. It makes it easier to detangle um. It strengthens the hair um. It also serves as a light form of heat protectant as well. So if you're someone that um, you know, maybe you have the blow dryer freestyle or something like that. You can use this for that and it works really well also because it's a liquid, it's literally like a lot like a enriched version of water. That'S literally what this is it's in the rich version of water. It works better than just water, because there's conditioners in here there's protein in here, there's uh um other stuff in here um. Oh, it also has um silicones in it. It has ammo diamanticone in it. So if you're someone that doesn't like stuff like that, then I mean, but it makes sense because it's a Heat Protector like that's that's what heat protectors using silicone like I just. I need people to understand like why these things are in the products and not just freaking out, because they see stuff in the product like you should be washing your hair anyway. Anyways I put this in my spray bottle. I use this on everyone. Everyone - everyone, low porosity, High processing, medium processing, Norm porosity for a4c4b3. It doesn't, I use it on everyone, and I have no issues with it from everywhere. So all this stuff that I like to use, I don't really mix around and play around with products too much, because I want stuff that work across the board for everyone and stuff that um yeah. I can just use generally with everyone with and expect the same results, and this is one of those products, so love it, and I also use it every day on my beard. I don't know if people knew that, but I use it every day on my beard, because someone was like: oh, you can't use it every day because it got protein. Ma'Am different proteins do different things: there's different type of proteins like there's some proteins that you know, strengthen elasticity, there's some proteins that actually go and rebuild the amino acid chain and some proteins that you know just coat the surface of the hair and you know, help Equalize your porosity and retain moisture - and you know, there's some proteins that just cut the hair and make it thicker like I I just I need us to not just like read the book knowledge but actually know when it's applicable and understand what we're reading. But that's why I'm the professional and you watching me all right moving on um, so we're on Effigy I might as well talk about this. Is the apogee prolific uh moisture-rich leave-in. I like this not as much as the pro vitamin leave it. It is also a liquid, but it's kind of a really thicker liquid. So if you're looking for something um, that's a little more moisture intensive than this, this would be your best bet to go with um. It also I like to use this um prior to sectioning and detangling, and just kind of prepping, the hair for styling um, so it works in the same regard as the average you provided me leave in, but I just find that um for some instances. I prefer to just go with the uh Pro vitamin versus the moisture rich, but this is more moisture intensive. This also does contain hydrolyzed vegetable protein, so anhydrates quinoa, so protein is present here as well. But again I find this to be just a tad bit more moisturizing and aiding and moisture retention, so I would use this more so for hair that tends to be um drier or of higher porosity um versus those that have look well. You can use this on. Anyone, but this would probably be better suited for um someone. Who'S here tends to be dry: okay, um cancer, leaving for kids, detangling, uh conditioning detangler same thing, um is to leave in. It also has dimethicone ammo dimethicone. So in that regard, it probably could be used as a form of heat protectant as well um, but for the most part, this is meant to be used as a detangler, and it does what it's meant to do: um yeah it's office, the hair, um, add slip And it's really really light their line for the kids is meant to be um. It has no sulfate stylase, parabens or mineral oil. You know whatever, but they do what it says it's going to do so I like it, can two for kids leave-in conditioning cream, yeah leave-in conditioner. This is the actual cream um very reminiscent of the Cantu um leave-in repair cream that most people are familiar with. I just find that this one is definitely a lot um a great deal lighter than the original cantulee van um. When I need, when I have somebody that has like really really dry, hair or just needs something a lot more moisture intensive than just these liquid leave-ins I'll go and just add a little bit of that, I can mix all these products with uh the sprays as Well, the leave-ins. I love that they're light, I'm actually gravitating more towards lighter products because um they just mix well with everything like this mixes, with everything like you're, not going to have any flaking or any issues when you mix products with this, and this is why I love that. There'S, on the other hand, who knows who knows how it's going to react to your jail? Who knows what it's going to do with your moves, but um, generally speaking, I haven't had too many issues or problems with that either um. But when I do rod sets or wash and goes, and things like that I do tend to avoid. Like thicker creamier like leave-ins uh, I tend to rely more so on the styling product for moisture and moisture retention versus like using something heavy like this. The spray leave is, I can. I can go with that and I know I'm not going to have any issues. Okay, all right, so oops, sorry about that. Let'S go into oh before I do that assist me on the subject of leave-ins. We might as well talk about heat protectants just got a couple with this. I got a couple of questions on the Q, a regarding um heat, styling, heat protectants and things of that sort. I use the Tresemme heat Tamer. I'Ve tried other heat protectants out there uh. I tried creamier uh heat protectors. I'Ve tried serum based heat protectants, I've tried foam base, heat protectors, but honestly I mean this. This works. It works it's light and when I do um any form of um blow blowouts or heat styling and stuff, like that, I prefer to use lighter products, because I can add more if I need to or keep it light. So the hair can be light and flowy for, like a silk press and stuff like that, it does what it needs to do. I'Ve never had any issues doing a blowout um stretching the hair extending the hair. I don't do too many silk presses. To be be honest with you but um I like this, particularly for blowouts um. It does a great job and, like I said this, light um, sometimes there's times where I'm in a blowout in the hair will prematurely dry out. I can just go and spray more of this. This is a liquid. I can go and just spray more of this um it'll help add um ease in the detangling smoothing and extending of the hair during the blowout process. So I love it and you can't really go too heavy with this. So I like to use this on freshly shampooed condition here when the hair is fully wet, I'll, just go in and just spray open the hair up, get it all over and just have it like sitting in there as the hair is in a state of drying Out and then, as I proceed to blow out the hair, it's already in there, okay, so you can also. You can also apply this if you're like me, and you like, blowing out in sections, you can apply this to the hair as you detangle and section it off prior to going in with the blow dryer too just FYI um in terms of a silk press. Now I don't really use this more so for blowouts, but if you're going for the soak press - and you want your hair to be soaking, smooth and Shiner gets you to design Essentials, silk Essentials. Um I've been using this since Beauty, School um and, like I said I don't do too many uh press-outs and things like that. But I have found that when I don't use this, the Press house don't tend to last as long they don't tend to have that same luster. I will say with this: you can use this either during the blowout process or you can apply this after the blowout. Like, for instance, um, if I knew I was going to like, do a trim with the blowout um, I probably would like avoid using this first. Do the trim and then apply and then do the silk press um, just because I don't like cutting hair when it's a lot of heavy product on it um. This is silicone base. It'S a serum, it's a serum, but I find with this the best way to use this is to actually bake it into the hair, so you definitely need to like this definitely needs to be on the hair before you press it out, because I find that when You press it into the hair it just. It gives the the softness, the luster, the smoothness, that you don't really get if you just like apply it afterwards. You know so definitely want to bake this thing but, like I said you can use this in the blowout process or you can use it um prior to flat ironing okay, um. Oh, keep it light, keep it light with this okay. I know it don't look like you get a lot of product you, don't you don't need a lot. Okay, if you got like shoulder to bra, strap length, hair use about one, maybe one and a half pumps if you have like thick density, if you had hair longer than that, then go with the two full pumps but keep it like. I promise you it will spread it does not. It does not take a lot for it to coat the hair. Um silicones are lighter than oils um, so you don't need as much of it to coat the hair. It is it's going to coat. Okay. I'Ve made a mistake a couple of times, I'm putting a little too much, because I thought it wasn't enough. It looked like just a little bit. I promise you it's enough. It'S enough all right, let's go into um stylers, it's only a couple. This is really only a couple: um Jane Curry solution, incredible curls cream love this stuff. The only issue is it. I find that this is probably one of the more lighter uh cream stylers I've ever encountered, like it's really really light on the hair. So if you have, if you're someone that has like um, really porous dry, hair, um, you're, probably gon na - need something a little bit more than this. But someone who's of you know low porosity, um, their hair really doesn't require much to stay moisturized and you just want to kind of add a cream. Styler to you know, make your twist look smooth and soft and moist and stuff like that um. This is what I like to use now, because it is a light cream. I do tend to also layer other stylers on top of it, for instance like when I do wash and goes I like to use this along with the mousse or I actually do that with the rod set as well um. So I do like that aspect about it. When you have lighter products, you're able to like work with it more and cocktail and do more things with it versus like heavier products such as this, you know like it may work it may not. You have to be really really careful with it um but yeah. I like it um what I'll tend to do. I tend to use this more so on, like two strand twists to set the two strand twists. Um, like I said it just gives a nice Sleek, smooth, shiny appearance to the hair, it does add, moisture retention to the hair, um and things of that sort. So yeah I like it um, but then I've been looking for a I've. Been I've been trying to figure out the mooses, because ever since somebody told me that they were experiencing flaking issues with the lot of body moves the setting lotion or whatever. I realized that I was using the concentrated version and that's different from the the one that comes in pre-packaged in the mousse bottle, and I've been trying to find an alternative to that and the only one I've been able to find is The Wrap and Roll by Jane Carter solution now I have seen this flake, but I've seen this flake with another product. I don't think it was The Wrap and Roll itself. Y'All can correct me if I'm wrong, if you ever experienced flaking with this, but I think I mixed the uh. It was, it was some glycerin based gel uh, Camille Rose or something I'm not sure what it was but uh when I just use this, as is, and even with the incredible curls cream. I'Ve never had issues with it um, but you know they're from the same line, so I would expect for them to work together um. I would say that this gives a medium hold um, but it's not sticky or anything um. Your hair comes out feeling smooth shiny, um hydrated, so I like it in that regard um but, like I said, I'm still kind of figuring out like what's my favorite, I I don't know if this is particularly my go-to styling mousse, just yet um still playing around With that, I'm still trying to uh try out the Moose death um and see how I liked it. But then you get you're not supposed to be mixing stuff with that, but whatever all right um one more here and then we're gon na get into our hair, greases and stuff um another Jay Carter solution product. I didn't even realize that the Gen card solution curls to go curl cocktail now disclaimer. I am not going to be using this as much anymore, because I've had a couple clients Express sensitivity to this product um. I don't understand why it's so hard to make a good cream styler the product itself is kind of a whipped, custard cream. Styler thing um smells really good too. I love it. I love this for two strand twists it just. It just makes the hair so Lush for a body full of Sheen, just everything like when I tell you I love using this. I do, but I have to stop using it because, like I said, I've had a couple of clients Express sensitivity to this product. I had one client um, he said his scalp was itching um out of nowhere and then um. We did like an elimination process of elimination situation. We figured out it was because of this um. I also had another client that expressed that her scalp was really itchy. After one service in particular, and that's when she told me she's allergic to coconut oil, I wish I'd known that beforehand, because coconut oil is the second ingredient in this Now coconut oil. When it's mixed in with products, I don't tend to have any issues with it, but I wonder if the coconut oil, I'm pretty sure the coconut oil has something to do with her um itchy uh scalp response with this product, but um. Just because of that, I don't I'm not gon na continue to buy this um. Like I said I like to have products that I can use across the board with everybody and not have to worry about. Oh, I can't use this on that person. I can't use that um, so this probably won't be good. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything to substitute this with, because it's so good. The only thing I hate about it, though, is that the cream is so thick that you kind of have to use it on damp to wet hair in order for it to like spread, evenly and consistently across the Strand, otherwise um it just it'll feel heavy on The hair, like you'll, put too much um also it does not mix well with some products. I'Ve noticed that when I've mixed this with like mousses or something like that, sometimes it'll coagulate and create little bits and flakes in the hair and stuff so try to see. If you like, but if you know you don't y'all here, don't like coconut oil or whatever the case is don't use it. But honestly this has been one of my best finds as of this last year, but I can't use it just for that reason. It'S unfortunate, it is all right, um, now uh we're running into the last half of the video, so this should go really quickly, because I just have a bunch of hair greases here lined up on the side, so we're gon na go over all the hair greases That I do like in particular right now. First off Nature's Blessing, you can't go wrong with Nature's blessings. Nature'S blessings is based here in uh New York, not here in New York, but here in the states in New York um. This is really really affordable. Less than six dollars um, the ingredients are all natural um. I haven't had any issues with anybody that has used it uh. I actually use this now. Every day on my my beard locks here, it keeps the soft. I love that this is a natural form of hair grease and it is, it makes it really really light lightweight so um. It goes a long way you can. You can actually use this on your lips as your lips was getting chapped, but I use this on. My beard, it doesn't cause me any irritation or feel excessively oily or anything like that. Actually, my beard feels really really soft today, so I only use this with uh the apogee provided me leaving and baby it's been it's been serving. This purple look look how soft! It'S so soft. I can stop playing with it all right, anyways um. It has a very neutral, very neutral uh, I won't say earthy, but very um yeah. I guess it is earthy yeah, but it's Pleasant. It'S Pleasant. I like it. I know that they have like the the hair food and the coconut oil variety or whatever. I don't really care for those I only like the original and when you get it make sure it has a very deep green color there's been times where um there's been bad batches of Nature's Blessing, and the color will end up looking like really really pale. Like a like, a olive green like a really pale, looking green, just make sure it has this Hue to it when you get it um, because that other one just don't hit right and the reason that the color changes is because this has chlorophyll um mixed in With it and sometimes um with it being natural products um, I don't know it doesn't uh it don't settle the same for some reason. So yeah and I've never had any issues as long as it's this deep color, but yeah really really like uh hairdress. I recommend anyone, that's looking to get into hair grease to start off with Nature's Blessing, because you literally cannot go wrong um because it's like you can use it on low porosity, hair medium porosity, High porosity um, and it does not take a lot okay. It does not take a lot to coach your strands. You can actually use it to replace your oil that you may be using like to seal your strands and stuff. You can use this instead and it will work and function the same way only better okay. So that's that now um before I get to the other ones, uh design, Essentials Therapeutics. This is their anti-itch hair and scalp. Dandruff hair grooming shrink knob. I heard they have new packaging for this. So just keep that in mind. This is a medicated um. Hair. Grease is made with salicylic acid. I don't know if y'all can see that. No, you can't, because it ain't focusing um and salicylic acid is just an anti-dandruff ingredient or whatever. So again, when I have clients that have um dandruff issues with snot, it's not too many of them um, but it's don't confuse dandruff with um acute flaking. Like you know, sometimes your hair just gets really flaky and dry or whatever or oily, because it's time for a wash don't confuse that with dandruff. I'M talking about people whose scallops, like is always like, has this oily kind of waxy film. On the scalp like that, this is for those people. I find that when I use this on clients that do have um chronic dandruff, it does help to mitigate it and reduce the flare-up, so it doesn't like end up being too too bad um and it just keeps it under control. Basically, it just really just keeps it under control um. It does have a very intense menthol um. Well, I'm actually out of this, I actually went through it. It'S it's very thick, okay, it's it's very thick um, but it definitely has a very Menthol medicated scent to it. So for those people that have dandruff issues, this is something that you definitely want to use on your scalp on the regular just to keep it under control. Now, I'm gon na go through all of these hair greases really really quickly when it comes to hair greases. There'S no right or wrong answer: hair grease all works the same as unless you tell my Nature's Blessing because it's natural and it's lighter than all the other ones, the hair greases all work. The same. You always want to use hair grease on wet hair. The hair grease is meant to serve as a emollient to coat the hair and hold the moisture there longer um. So you always want to make sure the hair is packed with hydration before you apply and use it to style. Okay, you put grease on dry hair. Your hair is going to be dry all right, so softy herbal grow. Y'All y'all been seeing this on all the live streams. All last year, I've been using this on just about everybody love this stuff, particularly love the scent. The only issue that I don't like is, let me see if I have another one, let me get a fresh jar. Real quick hold on only thing that I do not like about this product is that it is full of herbs, and you can see like the little bits in it and there's been times where I've been doing people's hair, and I found like little little twigs and Stuff in there I'm like what is that, and I realize it's coming from the hair grease - it's it's literally like just Blended and mixed in with the hair grease. Now the hair grease itself is great. That'S the only thing I don't like about it. Um, it's not excessive or anything like you're, not gon na, be walking around in this like bits and twigs and in your hair. But it is something that I have noticed that I don't particularly like for that same reason. The Argan Oil by softy same thing love the scent. Actually, it has a very similar scent to the herbal grow, but you can see there's a lot more of those bits in there. So, for that reason, that reason alone definitely not one of my favorite um hair greasers, but I mean I like it for the smell it's just. I don't understand why they can't do this in like weed out. All of that, like we don't need that in there. So after you like, we don't need that now. So after you got it right this time with this Indian hemp, though this Indian hemp baby, this Indian hemp um, it smells so good. Look at that straighter, hair out of there. I don't know this. Indian hemp smells so good um, so I like that I can use this on any any person like. I can use this on demand. I can use this on a woman and it's not gon na smell too too fruity or too too neutral um. It actually is a very neutral scent that can be used on everybody but um. It'S it just smells good and it works on everybody. Uh softy vitamin E hold on uh. I like this, but it is red. So I only particularly use this on class that have like red hair, like my sister um, I I don't know, I'm not concerned with the causing their hair to be red, but um. This is more of like a Bare Bones: hair grease. It doesn't really nothing about. It really sticks out to me so much um in terms of the formulation. It is a little bit simpler than the rest of them, but um. It'S a hair, grease uh. Now, before I started getting back into softy y'all know, I used to always wrap Ultra Sheen. Ultra stream was my favorite for the longest time, and it still is. I still like it. The reason why I stopped using Ultra and the reason why I kind of bounced around from hair grease to hair grease is because sometimes I get so sick of the smell. Like I smell it, so much that I it becomes obnoxious to me now. Somebody like who doesn't literally go in and use this product every day. It probably won't be like that, but I like it it's a very thick um hair grease, but I find that it actually spreads really well on the scalp and hair so that aspect of it. I do like I like the green one versus the blue one. The blue one is a little bit thicker in consistency which is really interesting to me and it doesn't spread as easily. So sometimes you end up using too much product versus this, so I always prefer the green variety of ultra Sheen versus the blue worm now, in terms of since the these hair greases have the best sense. This is the Bronner Brothers, and this is their super grow line of hair greases. Now they have different varieties, different colors and all of that which is really really attractive and cute to me, uh my favorite scents are the honey Bush and jojoba these um greases. I will say are a little on the thicker side of consistency, but when I tell you they smell so good, these have more of a like a fruity scent to it. Yeah it's it's! It'S it's much more feminine and fruity, which is what I um like to use on my female clients. This one smells really good too, it's more neutral, so you can use this on anybody, but it still has that um. This is the honey and Ginger has a sweet scent to it. I think that's the the word. The adjective um don't use this one as much. This is the argan oil and coconut wait. Did I know which one this one's okay favorite scent honey, Bush and jojoba favorite scent uh, honey and Ginger is the next in line This argan oil and coconut mm-hmm is? Is it smells like it wanted to be mango in Lime, but it didn't like quite make it. There y'all know the mainland Line Products they probably used to smell so good back in the day we was like. Oh this smells so good it. It kind of wants to be there, but it's not there yet. So that's why y'all see I haven't used it as much. They have the lavender and lemongrass and I got it because it was purple and I opened it to smell it, and I thought I would like it, but it don't smell good. It smell like oh, dried up grape flavored popsicle. That'S been sitting sitting on the on the floor. If I don't know it, just don't smell good to me. They also have your typical um green hair, grease version, and this just says extra light double strength. But this just smells like your um generic hair grease. It doesn't really have any particular fragrance to it and it does have some fragrance, but nothing about. It really stands out to me in terms of scent. So for me, when it comes to hair grease it's because they all work and function the same. The scent is really really important to me. Also the consistency um, how easy it Smooths it spreads under here and scalp and okay, I think we're getting somewhere now. Okay, so let me wrap this up with in terms of the products and then we'll just go into some of the tools that I like, which is only a couple um, the Maurice texture, King gel Pomade. Again, this product was really really hard to find in the beginning, but um now I find it everywhere at Walmart in particular, at the beauty supply store, some of them. It'S like your waxy, like jam like type of product. I don't use this on everybody, but I do use this on clients who have um hair that tends to have like a lot of breakage or has hair that's difficult to like smooth and braid into the braid or the flat twists, and things like that. So I use this more so to just add control where I need it for certain clients um, but I actually been reaching for this a lot less. I'Ve been, I used to use this more when I started using gloves to help me with the braiding process, but now I actually don't need to use it as much and I actually don't. I don't really use it, but I will say I do use this in conjunction with the next product for um, smoothing and slicking the edges, and that is the Redken Hardware. 69. I talked about this before back when I used to do my afro puffs, my afro puffs, were god tier baby. People thought my was so fake because I would have my slicked down so good and then all of a sudden, you just see this nappy poofy, ass, afro and people be like. Oh where'd, you get that afro puff baby. This is all me like what what is you talking about like this ain't? No, no pony puff like what you think this is the red can Hardware 16.. This is like a very, and this is gon na - look real nasty, but it's a yeah. I need to clean that off, but yeah it's a very um, thick textured um tacky. That'S the word. It'S a very tacky type of gel um. So I like to use that I know that looks so nasty I like to use that um when I am like doing like, I said just like slicking edges down, it just helps hold it's very anti-humidity as well. So that's why I kind of blend it with the texture, um King and they blend really well together, and it just literally like holds and frees the hair in place and um. When I used to do my Puffs, my Puffs used to last a whole week when I used to apply it smooth with it and also set it with the scarf when you set it, you have to set this and let it dry completely once you let this Set it's gon na hold it in place. Trust me so um it last but not least, beloved by Verdi, scented oil. Now I have so many of her since I have all of her since actually and they all smell really well, so I don't really use this. So much as a um styling product per se, I use this more as like a finishing product so like when I do like a wash and go or a rod set, or I finish, somebody's uh updo and I just want to kind of like add a little Extra, like Aroma, you know just I'll just get a few drops of this working into my hand and then like scrunch it into the hair, smooth it into the hair, and it just gives that extra floral sweet scent like it's basically hair perfume. For me, it's it's hair, perfume for me. So if you don't have your love by vertical or my favorite, I love the coconut lime Verbena and I like the um, coconut hibiscus syrup and oh mango, is really really good too. This is the mango one here. I love the mango. The mango scent is really really nice. They all smell good. All of her scents smell really really good, so don't get it twisted it's just. I have my personal favorites, but they all smell amazing. Okay, so that's what I love to use. Uh, the Love by Birdy, uh, scented oils for, and that is all of the products now really quickly is before we wrap this video up. I'M just gon na go through some of my favorite tools to use um with styling uh natural hair. It'S not that many of them. I keep it simple, I'm very consistent in across the board, but I get so many questions about this brush. Yes, I do still love my Denman. It'S rubbed off a little bit my demon d38 power paddle. I do use this as you can see, the bristles are all still there now I do have one. Let me show you, I do have a word. First came yeah, I bought it when it first came out and like many of you all all the bristles just started coming out like they didn't really come out, but they just kind of fell in and so now it's like a a rattle. So I just used this brush like when um I'm doing like a pre-detangling session before the shampoo or whatever, but um. It'S also lost this flexibility to or is Rich rigidity. Yeah, it's lost its rigidity too. So I just use this as a pre-detangle brush situation, but um. I recently bought two of these like um last summer, so it's been a few months, but it's been holding up really well, you know: we've been Landing them, soak, um, cleaning them, of course, and barbicide and shampoo and stuff. I think you just got to make sure that you don't let them sit in water too, too long, because then that starts to deteriorate the product um. So in that regard, if you don't like anything else, I say in this video this brush is game. Changing at least for me, everyone doesn't like it, because some people complain that the brush was too big or the handle was too small. I I don't know I worked fine for me. Um uh yeah. It worked fine for me. I don't know if y'all just kind of like gripping it differently, but it worked for me. I don't have any issues with it. I love that the bristles are very um flexible, so they give a lot of give and take when it runs into a Tango. It doesn't just rip through it it'll, actually Glide past it um. I find that when I use this, I don't get any breakage from the hair um, but it does because it has all these bristles. It does help pull out um shed hair. That kind of just sits in really really fine, thick hair, particularly um and yeah. I like this more so for detangling, not so much for blowouts, although you can use it for blowouts and I have used it for blowouts, but I find that the cushion and the bristles are a little too flexible, and so it doesn't um give enough tension to The hair, when you're, trying to like get a really smooth blowout, which you need tension plus Heat, first movements, so it does work, you can do it it's just as a professional. I know that I can get a smoother blowout with a different brush or a different uh method versus this um. I'M trying to think. Oh, what really makes this brush thinner. I'Ve said this before my excuse me in my uh review of the brush is that it doesn't have the ball tip bristles, which is really really great. I think they should start making all brushes like this, to be perfectly honest with you um, because it doesn't have that your hair doesn't like wrap around the ball tips and get tugged and pulled on as you're running it through. So it just literally cuts through the hair and brushes, like literally just cut store, brushes um. The bristles, in my opinion, could have been just a tad bit longer, um just to help it get through thicker here, but all in all I like the brush. I love it, it's still my favorite, the next and last brush, and this was soaking, so it's got a little bit of water in it um. This is the spornet. Is it upside down? This is the spornet um paddle brush, sorry for the water coming out still letting it drain um. This is similar to the demon d38. However, this one I find um Works a little bit better for blowouts. It does have the ball tipped um bristles, so you have to be careful. Um everybody's hair doesn't really take well to this brush, but generally speaking, um, the ball tips are not so pronounced, so it doesn't really create too much of an issue when I encounter using it with curly or coily hair um, but in terms of blowing out this Is probably my favorite brush for a good blowout um, the is a very wide surface area, so it really spreads the strands out and um. The brush itself is um ionic infused, so it actually helps with drying the hair in a reasonable amount of time um and getting the smoother sleeker result. So it does do what it's intended to do. Fine one handle paddle design, so hair doesn't get caught or tucked on in between, like crevices and cracks and stuff um same with this brush as well some brush they they have like the paddle attached to the handle, and then it's just a really really bad design
