Look at this, I am really excited about something today, because I got my hands on something that I never thought existed. I never thought that we would. I don't know have these because I mean I've seen all types of extensions, but never curly, hair extensions for full transparency. I was gifted these Extensions by the brand and I just wouldn't sleep at night. If I wasn't telling you how I really feel so, this isn't like a review or like me telling you that they're good. In fact. Actually, there was a lot of quality issues and I don't really know if these are good to spend your money on because they were so expensive when I looked at what they cost. So it's gon na be more like a FaceTime call with me. Not me telling you what to buy, because I don't know that I would say these are worth the money. However, in the context of being a curly hair girl, we are gon na, be pretty excited to find out that these exist, because they just weren't a thing. I mean you and I have both seen like clip-in hair extensions tape in hair extensions, hair Toppers. Those are just for fine hair to make it look like it gets full in the top or wigs that cover the whole head, but the only person I've ever seen wearing curly hair extensions is Shakira who wears her hair natural a lot of the time, and I Always saw that she had some extensions, I think shakiras are probably custom made extensions right, but we both have big Colombian well mixed race hair, and that means there's a ton of texture. So I need some seriously textured hair extensions if I'm gon na mix it in with my natural hair, I will link the extensions below and I'm also going to go through, like the different things that I'm worried about with these because owning these means you have to Take care of them and that they should be high quality so that they last and with these hair extensions, I don't know that they will thumbs up. If you enjoy this video, if you're brand new to hair extensions, you might not know that this is a weft that refers to one single piece of a clip-in extension set. That'S a weft! Okay. With that said, when the package arrived, it was, it was a little beat up, so it kind of set the tone on every extension kit you're going to find one little section or one little weft. That basically says try me and make sure that it like matches with your hair, so that you don't open the whole set of extensions and then you're not allowed to return them. It makes sense, but look at the ends right when I open this is the tester. So fair enough, when I opened these - and I was like I'm gon na - need to cut like seven inches off of these extensions, if they all look like this, but the thing that they won't, I think it's just because that's like the color one look you never Know until you actually try it in this kit, you get a hair mask like a little sachet. That'S like the size of your palm. It'S not really enough for your whole head at all. You get a plastic storage bag, some spare clips and, of course, the hair wefts themselves. The price is 555 US Dollars on sale for 355 US dollars so yeah, okay. I was so eager to like put these on. Obviously, you know that when you open something and you're just like, I just got ta, try it like right now. My hair is straight, but I want to know if they match the color. I want to know if they like. I just want to know so. I'M gon na put them on my head on top of my head. I know it's gon na look silly because I just I have like seven day old hair, that's like very straight, but I just want to see what these are like, because I don't. I didn't really have a lot of faith, taking them out of the kit it just at the ends. It'S the ends. For me they are they're crispy. So there's like two ways: you can wear clip-ins and I know that so I put them on top of my head to check like the volume kind of vibe and now I'm gon na put them mainly towards the bottom of my hair, just to see if they Would give me length - and lo and behold, of course my natural hair is like longer, because it's straight, however, when my hair is Curly, it's going to be much shorter, so I don't know we're gon na see, but I really want to cut the ends like the Last six inches of these 24 inches extensions is basically useless. Here'S my quick analysis. I think that these hair extensions are naturally wavy or straight, and I think that the company processes them using a perm solution to make them curly. But I don't think that whoever's doing it took into account the law of hair damage, whether you're, bleaching or perming. The last eight inches of hair are way more damaged than the first 16 inches, and so that means you need to take begin to account a lesser process time and not leave the perm Solution on there. For so long they don't smell like anything. So I'm not washing them just to clean them, I'm washing them to see how they wash and I'll have to be really gentle with them, which is what you should always do with hair extensions curly or not like you do, with curly hair, you put the conditioner In or the product, and then you like scrunch it up, I'm doing that with these I want them to retain their shape and come back to their natural curl, or at least what the perm solution did with them. If they were processed, they lost a lot of hair. There was a ton of shedding, not all of it was breakage. In fact, most of it was coming out of the actual weft, so these aren't secured very well. It could be that it's normal, but that's not been my experience with straight extensions, so I think that these aren't the best quality and, if you just had to say black and white. Let'S just be frank, I don't think that these are going to hold up for years and years before becoming extremely stringy and thin. Only Time Will really tell, though, for sure, because it is the first wash so maybe that's just normal. I'M going to use this balancing moisturizer from aphogee. This is such a good, hairline wow. I really like this stuff. I like everything that they make it's. It'S just really good, it's great for natural hair and then I'll add an oil and just bounce that up into the hair. You know what you don't want to do. Curly or not. You don't want to add hair extensions into your hair without any hair product. That is moist moisturizing, because the hair could actually pull the oils out of your hair and onto them. So you want to have some kind of like lubrication over everything, so that there's there's oil. You know you don't want everything to be friction, because that will cause damage real, quick, the kind of things you should be using on the hair extensions when they're curly is like oils. Okay, because that's got enough going on that it will really really seal the hair. But don't use things that are meant for texturizing, sea salt sprays or volume, products that are specifically powdered to give your hair a more textured feel it will dry the hair out and it needs moisture. I'Ve been adding highlights to my own hair and I do it slowly. You know I do it really really slow, like I'm, not gon na, do that all in one go and it's actually working out real good. So I'm gon na do that again today and I'll show you what I do, but first I'll use a diffuser attachment on my hair extensions. You know what this is: it's like four curly hair to make it nice and bouncy and frizz free now, it's time to do my own hair, and I am so anti-curly hair routine right now like as in I, don't like doing a bunch of steps which is Ironic, because I like I like routines, but when it comes to my curly hair, I love a wash and go like. I don't try to make it curly. So today, I'm just literally going to highlight my hair, real, quick, which I know that sounds dramatic. But it's very easy: I just mix up this hand, painting product and it's a bleach, so it's going to lighten the hair and then I basically section it out start to apply it, and then I blend it using my fingers and of course, I'm wearing gloves because Bleach is not good for your skin, so be careful if you ever try using it a wash and go is just that. I literally leave it in for 10 minutes shampoo, my hair put in a hair mask or some conditioner, and this we have voila the hair wash and go because it's easy and I just find it's better that way. So this is what it looks like. Naturally, when I don't try to make it curly, if I try to put products in it that are going to activate the curl, it will start to look like a curl. But I've been blow drying it for months and months and months, and I haven't really tried to encourage the curls. So this is what we're left with what I love about. These hair extensions is they're going to go in and create all this definition and kind of persuade the eye to see more of a curl in my hair than what's already there right now. Each extension set these days seems to come with like a really thick weft. One that has almost like four wefts in one and that's great for volume and length so I'll start at the nape of the neck and with all of my hair in a bun, I'm going to attach this at the very base of my neck. This way, my hair is hidden on the underside and it's kind of masked by the extensions which makes it look more natural, and it also gives you the most length possible. You have to be real careful with your hair, because when it's in its natural state it can get really frizzy really fast, so I section it real slowly and then just keep adding in the different wefts. It'S easy and fun like I. I miss wearing hair extensions. Some days because it's just fun putting these in and I think the fact that these are Curly, it's gon na, encourage me to do a lot more curly hairstyles. Like a lot like you, can do princess hair. You can do all kinds of styles that are just absolutely stunning. I really do love natural hair textures. They are also beautiful and, like so unique and artistic, it's it's a very unique quality to have, and we need to love our curly hair a little bit more. I think you and I well. These are starting to look pretty good, like the more I put in the more I'm like they're, not thin. On the I mean they are thin on the ends, but they're not really that thin on the ends. They just they need a little trim, but they just have a natural way of blending. In that looks like it's really my hair and with a huge color difference and a huge texture and curl difference, that's pretty impressive. I purposely ordered lighter ones, because I wanted to add more of that highlight effect in my hair. So I actually love that they are the brown color that they are. They have like a Chestnut and like a golden kind of toasted. Look. I really like this color again, I'm going to link this set in the description below and the color. So once I have each of them in I'm going to add some more oil to my hair in the form of a spray, and then you see what it looks like in the sun. This looks really natural and it's perfect for spring perfect for summer, especially if this is like special occasion. I think that these would last, if you only use them once in a while and that's on math baby. Okay, that's just that's just basic math! If you don't use these a lot, they probably will last but for the price. I do wish that I had seen better quality in these, because I would just love them so much if I could love on them every day and just wear them and do my thing, but I don't feel like I can do that. I think I have to be very careful with these once I did take them out. I wanted to show you what they look like here. They are. They were, of course, Tangled. You know how it goes with curly hair, like after you're done living your life with your hair down. It is Tangled, that's just the way it is so these were the same thing and I added a leave-in conditioner and then washed through not washed. I brushed through them so that I would spread out the oil and just mix all of the oil through from the bottom, to the top to the top to the bottom. And I followed their storage instruction, which is like put it into the bag, which is kind of hard to do. You put it back in the netting and then like kind of try to stuff it in, and I just don't think that I will do that. Realistically, I'm gon na find an alternative. As for the final verdict, I am so thankful that I got these extensions as a gift like I am really really happy to own these. Had I bought these online, I would have absolutely emailed and just kind of said, hey they're, shedding a lot so as much as I want to give these like 10 out of 10 for existing and being beautiful and wonderful. The quality is such a concern for me that I have to give them a seven out of 10 at best and, if I'm being absolutely Savage a six out of 10.. I said what I said, but you know what a win is. A win. A win is a win baby. Thank you for watching click on my channel for more

Sky O.: Why can’t everyone be this honest?!? She’s helping us make an informed decision and she’s actually allowing the brand to improve LOVED this ❣️

Nayerie Rosario-Johnson: every time you upload, i still can’t believe it. i’m so happy that you’re back and being so consistent! you really are our internet big sister

Kori Paige: As an avid extension wearer… I have been wearing curly extensions for over 10 years! Just from looking at the video these are NOT worth any amount of money honestly!

Ellen: Your natural hair is just unbelievably gorgeous! I have straight hair, and even still, after living life for the day it gets very tangled... especially the underneath portion. If i wear a hoodie for the day, its over. My hair underneath is literally like matted from the bulky hood i guess I cant even imagine what curly hair would be like. Bc of the tangles, i seriously consider cutting my hair off. Most times it ends up in a messy bun or ponytail anyway bc i cant take all that. Always appreciate your honesty and your knowledge on things. ❤️

SignedNichole: As a budget friendly option bel-hair curly extensions are bomb and come in 5+ different curly patterns

aisme19: The hair extensions definitely don't seem great but I feel like Alexandra just makes everything look gorgeous

SoftSummer: Goodness, your natural hair is stunning! I know wearing it straight is maybe easier or more practical, but WOW the curls!

Linda Ayra: You don’t need extensions. Your hair is beautifully curly

Madeleine: Soo fun!! As a fellow curly gal, I would love to try extensions one day

Fee V: These look AMAZING in your hair, looooove the volume and the like overflowing quality it gives you. When curly girls part their hair with a super deep side part it’s soooo pretty

The Mediumalist: This is by far my favorite look on you! It’s so so stunning and unique.

Latajanee: Try the Innersense I create hold or the uncle funkys if you wanted to encourage your curls to pop more but the clip ins look beautiful. Another great look as always

Rashelle: Your natural hair is my curly hair dream! Love the beauty education I receive from you! Soon I will have a degree from the school of Alexandra's Girly Talk school!

Violingirl79: Wow, your natural hair is absolutely stunning

Laurial: I absolutely loved their straight clip ins!

Atroonks: You should try the Curly Clip-ins from BetterLength Hair. Though the curl pattern may be slightly tighter than your natural hair, the brand specializes in hair extensions for black women.

Jodie Harmon: Omg they match your hair perfectly!

Amqni 🦋: Wow your hair is absolutely gorgeous !!

tori robinson: Ooo I was just looking at these and bebonia hair extensions and trying to decide which ones I would be better off getting. I have a tighter curl pattern, but depending on the day it could be looser (freshly washed) or tighter (like day 3 or 4 hair) so I would guess I'm a 3c-4a combo with dark brown hair bleached ends. And it's hard finding something that looks natural..I might try bebonia now only because they have bleached hair and I can dye it later to match my natural hair color. I wish some black owned brands could come out with more hair color ranges other than 1b (or natural black color).

D D: I never thought people with such thich a d dense hair would wear extentions... They look cute

sa1177: love your videos! you're amazing

Terri Esparza: Omgness I love this so much! Thank you

Ramona Miess: I love your content. Its so ADHD friendly I can really focus on it.

Zee Nkosi: Alex❤❤❤ I just got 4c clip ins. They’ve been a game changer but I wish I could get slightly better quality

Leona Lanz: Girl pleeeeaaase show us your natural Hair routine ❤️❤️❤️ I also have curly hair and I am desperate

Nadine H: How do you get your curls like this after getting keratin?

denise: “posted 19 seconds ago”. I guess I have a sixth sense for Alexandra’s posts

briaabriaa: Ive done a little research on hair extensions… and it seems like theres no fool proof way to know for sure if these things are chemically processed or not because of the confusing terminology that is used

nicole mcclarin: I just throw my curly and straight extensions in a satin bonnet. If I want my straight clip ins to have curl I wrap them in those over night curlers put them in a bonnet and call it a night.

Silent Seeker: PLS MAKE VIDEO ABOUT MAINTAINING UR NATURAL CURLS

Anna H.: So cool!

ZoeAlleyne: I don't know why I subscribe to this channel. I'm not really into beauty content, no photo angle is going to make me look amazing, hair extensions are beyond my ability.... yeah I still am subbed. It is like having a really girly big sister that I could pretend that one day I'll grow up into her.

SneakerTeacher89: Curly !!!

A Boz: Curly extension market it's mee
