Hey guys welcome to my bathroom, i am here because i have decided to cut my hair you've seen it in the title, if you're, if you're seeing it in the title, i i have probably gone through with it by the time you watch this as of right Now, i'm still not 100 sure i want to do this. This is the shortest my hair has ever been. I think - and i already feel like it's too short, but there is just something within me that wants to try, maybe shoulder length hair. I think it might look really cute. I have been on this journey of kind of rediscovering my hair, as it has changed quite a bit over the past couple of years. Of course, i went through some hair loss, then regrowth and then loss and regrowth cycles. Just keep happening and then my hair has recently started to go more wavy. I have abandoned the kurdigo method, more or less for the past couple of months, because i didn't like the results i was getting compared to the effort i was putting in. But what i noticed right now is that my hair has waves like the top is straight. Then it's wavy wavy and then it's straight again. All together i have kind of been fed up with my hair. I'Ve been wearing it up a lot and if i'm completely honest, i have been intrigued for a while by the kind of longish bulb look and how it might look on me. I think it might. It might look really nice if it turns out the way. I hope this one thing i'm really really scared of is that it will just be a limp and short because oh my hair is really thin, but it is thin and fluffy, although the fluffiness is mostly on the bottom, so i just i just really. I don't know i don't know what to expect. It might be great, it might be absolutely horrendous and i might regret it a lot and i'm really really scared. That'S gon na happen. Okay, before we get started, though this video is in collaboration with anna louise, i'm very glad they are sponsoring today's video, because i absolutely love working with them and louise are my favorite jewelry brand and i am wearing their jewelry today, i'm wearing this beautiful set of Necklaces that are perfect for summer. I also have the matching bracelets, with these beautiful, green beads and a pearl. The necklace has pearl as well, and then the green beads here and this ring - i have been wearing this so much. I take it off before renovations, but when i'm not working, i love wearing this ring. It goes so well with my engagement ring, which is that one and this one is the new one from anne louise, and i just oh, this is perfect for snacking goes with everything i am just in love with this set. I have wearing this loads. I always like to go a bit more colorful in summer and since this is green, it goes with so many of my outfits, which i have finally unpacked and i can wear normal clothing again and louisa make sustainable jewelry. They use recycled gold, sustainable materials and they are a carbon neutral company. I am all for that and they have always made it a priority to be sustainable and as eco-friendly as possible, which is fantastic. They are my go-to staple brand for jewelry and i have a discount code for you, guys that you can use now. If you use code loopsy 10, you get 10 off of your purchase and their pieces start at only 39.. So there really is something there for every budget definitely be sure to check that out. I will have a link to their website in the description box below don't forget to use loop c10 for 10 off. They make gorgeous elegant dainty, versatile super, versatile jewelry. So definitely be sure to check that out huge thanks to anna louisa for sponsoring this video i i'm stalling, i'm stalling, oh guys. What, if i hate it, it grows back. Probably oh. This feels like that. First, cutting my bangs video all over again. I'M gon na grab some tools. I'M gon na. Take you up, so you can see me from front and back so that you know what's going on before i do and let's, let's just do it. The problem is, i don't know what i'm doing. I have been cutting my own hair since i was a teenager, but i've. Never i've never got it that short and i'm not sure which technique to use for this. Let me start with the parting. Let me start by actually i said i was gon na grab my tools. I literally grabbed one elastic. I need a comb for this because we need precision. These are the codes i was able to find, not the one i was looking for, but the other one is probably still packed away in a box somewhere. I'M thinking, i should probably just do the ponytail method and then try and straighten out the front. Oh, is that a gray hair is that gray or just very blob? No, that's a gray hair. I actually i used to have more gray hairs, which is weird, but i developed these um gray hairs. I'M fairly sure it must have been stress induced when the pandemic happened and my rats got sick and they started passing away um and they developed all kinds of villains. Tonight. It was just some very overwhelming time and my hair actually went green. I had a bunch of grays around the front here and my bangs and they actually went away after all that passed um. They went away again, but now i see that there are a couple ones still remaining. You know what i'm gon na do. I'M gon na start slow, i'm just gon na cut off a little bit at first and then cut off a little bit more and more and more and see what i'm comfortable with. That sounds like a good idea, so i'm gon na start with a low ponytail. I also need to trim my bangs by the way, so i think we're going to do that after possibly so i have a low ponytail. Now, i'm going to gently pull it down, make sure to keep my head straight, secure it a little bit more tightly. There is a lot of taper in my hair, which is also one of the reasons why i'm thinking it's probably better. If i cut it, there are a couple very pretty clear lines in my hair, where some of the hair stops growing. One of them is more or less at the length where my hair is at now and even any time i let it grow beyond that. The ends get really thin and um. Just don't look that good anymore. My fullest line out of hair is right around shoulder length, so i think if i cut my hair to that length, it might look thicker too. So i'm just pulling my hair down. I could probably cut way more to start with, but we're starting slow right. So this is coming off. Oh, oh, i'm gon na! Oh, i don't know, oh just! Oh just do it. Let'S just do it. Let'S just do it. This is cute enough. Let'S go shorter, my hair, you know the thing with shorter hair and cutting it yourself or the problem here is that shorter hair needs much more precision, so you probably want it to be a little bit more straight than if it's really long, it doesn't show up That much okay! So let's take this much off, then it's about the same amount. I think another thing i am worried about a little bit which i know is silly, but that's my issue. I'M a little bit worried like i tend to attach a lot of femininity. I guess to having long hair that went so fast. Oh, i thought it would be much longer. Ah, i think i think i should should i stop. Should i move on to a different method, i'm kind of looking at myself in the viewfinder from the back. I need to shorten it more, that's for sure, but i think i might try a different technique now how i usually cut my hair. This does cut it into a v and i'm thinking i want to go for more of a blunt shape in the back. I have a friend coming over later today. If it's horrible i'll just have her go back straight. No, it's gon na be fine. It'S gon na be fine. I just need to tilt my no. I need to keep my head straight. I think for this. Ah, this whole method doesn't even work anymore. This is gon na, be too short. Okay, i'm just gon na straighten it out. I think now so that it's all the same length as the bits in the back or at least kind of how does this even work? How do you cut hair into a bowl? I should have researched that before i started just doing it. Oh, i hope i don't end up on brad mondo again. Do i like it, i kind of i like it. I think i like it. I do think i should go a little bit shorter still. This is a bit longer than i was aiming for, but it does look so much thicker already. How short do i go? Yeah, let's see, let's go a little shorter, i'm gon na try the chin method. Again, i think it works for the front. I have never seen myself like this. Never i think, if i'm doing it, i might as well go shorter. I am recording right. Oh thank god. I don't want to have to make two ponytails or something because i'm afraid i won't be able to actually even them out. If i do that now, i'm afraid one side is going to end up longer than the other, but i might have to because i don't know how else i would cut it even shorter. Now: okay, let's just let's do two ponytails see what happens okay, but when this is done, though i am gon na have the cutest ponytails. I love the look of short hair with pigtails. I need to close the door because everywhere i go. Construction noise follows me around sliding down: is it asymmetrical already, or did i just tie them differently? Okay, let's just cut even more, oh man, how much just a little that much! I can't really see what i'm doing, because it's so short now i can't hold it up to my face anymore and after this i'm gon na stop and have a good look, because i can already see this going too far and cutting it too short. That'S different! That is very different. Oh i don't know whether i should go short or not. I think first before i do that, i'm just going to trim my bangs and see what that does, because those are way too long as well and overdue a trim, and that is something i'm no longer nervous about, because i've been doing that for a long time. Now i feel, like i look like a different person and i also think i should go shorter. I think i should go shorter. It looks like it's already growing out, but first let me grab a mirror and see how it looks like from the back so that i can maybe adjust the angle at which i'm cutting yeah, okay, it's cute and i'm gon na love it when it looks like This in two or three months, maybe, but for now for the initial chop. I think we need to go there, but i think the end is actually the um. I was going to say that it was pretty even the cut is pretty straight, i'm fairly happy with that. So i think i'm going to stick to my technique and just do the two ponytails again. I am actually having a lot of fun doing this. Who would have thought i used to often preface these videos by saying you might not want to try this at home or maybe, if you're, young or something. But you know what i have changed. My opinion on that and i say do it if you want to cut your own hair and if you want to do something more drastic with it not this is drastic. I mean all right. I could have gone for a pixie cut, which i still stand by. I'M never going to do that, but if you want to cut your hair into whatever it is that you want to cut your hair in to do it, it's not that hard to do and it's a lot of fun and if you mess it up, you can Always get it fixed and if you can't get it fixed, then it'll grow out a little bit more. I think a little bit more will be good and then i'm gon na stop. I hope i'll still be able to wear my hair up, because it's gon na be a really hot week. This week, i think we're going up to 30 degrees. I think i'm gon na have really cute brushes with this length, and i also think i should maybe oh it's choppy here. Ah choppiness alert. This is not good oops. Something went wrong there at the end, see if i can fix that how what happened? No! Oh! No, have i ruined it now it was going so well, it's going so well, it's not straight in the back, because i cut it in front and i think that's the problem i'm having here. I want it to be shorter in the back, maybe longer in the front, so i need to do a back ponytail again, but not too much shorter in front. This is hard. Oh yes, oh yeah, much better much better! Maybe if i do that, one more time even shorter and then i can do some layers in the front, i like the length in the back i like how it blends into the sides and i'm going to do a bit more layering around the front here. These bits are already: these were already much shorter than the rest of my hair anyway. So might as well just redo that oh, i want to be careful to make this hairstyle too around that makes sense. Should i go shorter? I don't know when to stop. I am very happy to see the fullness. It is not blimp, i i don't think personally um, it looks too limp. I think it looks cute and i think after i wash it and it kind of realizes that it's shorter now it might um poof out even more and i'm excited to see what this will do to the curls. I think it might. It might just bounce up. Even more so, i'm probably going to stop cutting now and roll with it. The way it is, i feel, like this side is just a little bit longer. I don't want to cut too much. I don't want to cut too much, maybe just a little bit shorter. Let'S go from the back, it's becoming very hard to reach the back of my head, but like two more centimeters. I think this is now one more time baby. Oh, i can't stop now. Can i all right? That'S it i'm stopping! I definitely don't want to go any shorter than this wow. Okay. I actually think i might have liked it a little bit better at the previous length. I should have stopped before this step, but for the full effect. I think this is gon na, be it yep. This is it okay, okay, okay, i'm stopping! Oh, my gosh! The sink is absolutely full of hair. I now officially have short hair, at least in my book. This is absolutely short hair and i can't believe it when i wake up tomorrow. I'M gon na have that moment where i forgot that i cut my hair and then i look in the mirror and then i will know my genuine reaction. I'Ll have to work with it play with it, wash it curl it everything see how it acts. Oh, i love it. I think it's really cute, i'm sure it's gon na look great when it's curled with those looking like big waves, but i'm most curious to see what this will look like um, when it dries naturally so yeah, okay, guys i'm gon na stop. Blabbering because i've been going on and on this, is it oh, i hope you like it not that it really matters, because i have to live with it, but you're going to see me like this for the next couple of months or years. If i end up loving it like, i did my bangs thank you for watching guys. Thank you for being here with me on this nerve-wracking moment. I'M not sure i would have done it if i hadn't set up the camera, so you guys pulled me over that line. Thank you for that. I'M gon na be back next week with another renovation update, we're doing great things in the house. The rooms are starting to take shape, but i just needed a little grateful vlogging this week, so i'll be back next week with another renovation, vlog moving vlog, don't forget to check out anna louisa with their beautiful jewelry, with the link down below and use my code. Lipsy 10 for 10 off your purchase. Thank you so much for watching guys, and i will see you again next week - bye

Rhiannon Moo: I love the transition from a panicked „I can’t believe I’m doing this“ to „If you want to cut your own hair, go ahead“ and „Should I go shorter?“. I did a drastic cut a few years ago (butt-length to pixie cut) and it was the most freeing thing. The new style looks amazing on you!

whoever b.: This length with those bangs suits your face soo well, and it looks really healthy and thick, also effortlessly more sophisticated!

Kaycee Vallozzi: It looks so good!! What a fitting time to go for something completely different. New home, new hair!

Agent Callisto: My mom is a hairdresser, so growing up I got accustomed to getting haircuts and having lots of different styles. Conversely, I had several friends who were emotionally attached to their hair and had a hard time even going in for trims. My philosophy has always been your new one: get the haircut! It grows back and trying different styles helps you realize what’s flattering on you. This length is really flattering and makes your hair look so full! I love it.

Morgan Fiona: Your hair looks so healthy with the chop! I've been growing out a pixie cut (which i also swore i would never get lol) and for cutting long bobs, i recommend using the two pigtails, but when you tie the elastics, tilt your chin up to make it shorter in the back! Also, to minimize choppiness, i recommend using the same vertical little snips that you use on your bangs when you do the very last cut!

gildedgitta: Your hair looks so much healthier now, great job! Cutting short hair on yourself is hard, but you learn to balance mirrors around if needed haha. Its definitely harder than cutting long hair but you did great!

EraserheadArts: I've never been this early!! You've been my hair inspo for years and I actually have a bob ATM, so I can't wait to see the styles you come up with!

L W: It looks so cute, and I can't wait to see the different ways you style it! It's a perfect length for vintage curls! P.S. Technically, it's not a bob unless it's above the shoulders, but it's still cute and looks so thick!

Holly Brooke: I’m loving the shorter hair. Looks much fuller and suits your face well.

J8n3eyr3: Love it! I did the same trim-turned-cut thing to my hair for the same issues you did. The hair looks much fuller and healthier now. Singing the ends has also been a gamechanger for me!

Kate Parker: I love it! Looks great, and it's always fun to see someone having fun with and enjoying their hair! Update - I loved it so much that I then went and bought some hairdressing scissors and cut my waist length hair into a bob! Turns out cutting your own hair is great fun (although I am going to have a friend fix the back for me in a couple days )

Callida: The new haircut suits you soo much! Your hair looks so healthy and full! Gorgeous!

Ori Gami: This looks absolutely lovely. I also think that glasses and short hair tend to look very stylish together, so this fits with the fact that you seem to be wearing glasses more often than I remember from being an old-school viewer of this channel!

Mealmoth: I have been growing my hair out for the last few years, and I'm reaching the point where I'm tempted to go back to the shorter styles I used to wear - good on you trying it out! You're completely right, anyone should just try a cut themselves at least once if they want to

Iulia P: It looks so good and healthy!! And I’d love more hair content at this length, it’s what I have! I actually used to have a pixie so I know how it feels to cut so much hair off at once, your head feels lighter on your shoulders haha

Scorpion Braid: I think a bob an inch above the shoulder would look great with your hair and face shape if you ever want to go for it, it can be daunting. About the top of your hair being straight and then the rest being wavy: I noticed something similar in my hair when I would pull my hair into a pony tail non-stop for work. I've started doing French braids starting at the top, or using a medium sized hair clip; only a little bit of hair right where the bangs are. That seems to help my hair not be so flat and then curve.

Melissa Dressler: I love it, Lucy, but much more importantly, I hope you love it even more every day! I always wonder how you seem to perfect the vision you have in your mind almost every time you try something new; it is a talent for sure!

Frankly I Am A Cat: It looks really nice! I cut my hair from waist length to shoulder length, too, 2 years ago after having had long hair for most of my life and liked it a lot! I've grown it out again now because I also really like long hair but at some point I'm gonna go back to short hair again.

Cassy Braun: I love your hair like this, it looks so much fuller and healthier. I cut my hair often to just at my shoulders and find it holds such better curls when I do wet set pin curls, versus any other method. Once it gets longer, it’s all out the window.

Claire Rousseau: Ohhhh, that length looks SO CUTE on you! So glad to see you take time to do a fun thing just for you in the middle of the move/renovation, it's such a stressful time.

Kasefi: Really like this look on you. The hair truly looks so much fuller. Now I'm thinking about cutting my own hair.

Anita Johnson: That new hair cut shimmy at the end is when you KNOW you love it! This cut suits you so well!

varsha1010: OMGGG you did such a good job. This length suits you so well!

sempra_xiii: Omg I LOVE IT! I loved the armpit length on you too, but the shorter bob is so fun, I can't wait to see how it behaves when you wash it! Aaand I can feel the urge to cut my hip length thick ass hair into a bob coming back

BVoshol: Oh hey! You ended up with the same length of hair I currently have! I've been growing it out since I cut it into a chin length bob and realized that wasn't a good length for me! (I like to put my hair up) but this length I find really versatile as you can put it up, braid it, etc but it's still pretty easy to manage down.

P vT: I love how your "short" hair is my "long" hair. I was just amazed with how long my hair is for the first time in my life and here I am watching your video about how short it is (I couldn't have it long cause my hair used to be very heavy and having it much longer than chin length gave me migraines) But this shorter hair looks so cute one you, and it definitely looks thicker and healthier. It looks amazing with your face.

Florence Bolsée: Well done! About having a pixie haircut, I was like you but then I was forced to start over with a pixie after a hair loss and I was surprised to find it cute, fun and feminine on me. I started noticing that when someone is soft and feminine, a pixie haircut looks feminine. It would be the same for you so don't worry about that, no haircut can make you less feminine, I think it's mostly about your attitude

zanili: Haven’t seen the result yet, but I think it will suit you well ! Edit: it looks so nice, good job !!!!

octavia088: You look beautiful in your new haircut! Waves will appear for sure after your hair learns it is not weighted down anymore. A true “Bob”, my hairdresser told me, is longer in the front, angled to shorter in the back. The angle can be gradual or sharp depending on how “edgy” you want it to look.

Ali Iannucci: It looks so full and healthy!! I chopped 10 inches (25 cm) off last summer and it was so freeing! Be sure to shake your hair around a lot and rock the pigtails. Also, been following since the sock bun days and I can't believe you finally chopped it!! I go through phases and short hair can be so fun, and then by the time you're over it it's grown out anyway lol

Carla Wright: You look so much better! I mean you’re absolutely gorgeous, but I always envisioned you with a shorter bob. Your hair was looking tired. I find this cut suits your face completely and you can keep it straight very femme fatale or curl it 20s-30s style! Great choice! Super chic!

Iris Todorović: Oh my god Lucy!!! This length looks so good on you!

Emma Jansson: That looks very good on you, and it looks so full and fluffy. A tip for cutting your own hair: Wash it afterwards. That allows you to look for hidden tresses thats longer. And it's a good trick to really see if everything is the right length/not choppy. The waves might otherwise hide that. I cut my own hair into bobs that shorter than yours, and that always helps me when dubblechecking

Emma: It looks sooooo good!! And I can't wait to see the brush outs

Lari Lari: Lucy, it looks so good!!! Can't wait to see how you style it, brush-outs really do work so much better with shorter hair

jmcmurrah: It looks sooooo good! You'll find you have more waves automatically now that the length is shorter. :)

MafaldaMFMAC: This length looks amazing on you and it looks so healthy

@kätzchen: I love it! It suits you so well and the hair looks much thicker and stronger :) I chopped off about 35cm last year and went from about waist length to shoulder length. I can relate to being so nervous about it, I had very long hair all my life and it was so freeing to finally let go of it :) I felt like a new person!

Sarah Bhutta: Great job! I went from hip length to shoulder length when I was pregnant with my 2nd. Your hair looks healthier and thicker.

nichol_mich: Your hair comes out AMAZING Lucy!! Can't wait to see when you style it for us.

Elizabeth W.: I cut my hair two nights ago (at midnight ). The first time I ever did layers myself. I followed Brad Mondo's recent tutorial and it turned out pretty good. I still think I need to lose maybe another inch or two of length, but I really like how less bulky thick my hair is with layers. I've gone from hip length hair last year to shoulder blade length right now.

Serena Sonnenberg: It looks beautiful! I have also always had longer hair, and recently made the jump to getting it cut to an above-the-shoulder bob. I feel like a whole different person and the length is lots of fun to play around with! I hope you enjoy your new shorter hair journey as well!

Karolien: Love how it looks and the pure chaos in this video. Also your reaction to it and getting more confident is awesome .you definitely inspired me also

Kamilla Nagy: I’d love to see some hair tutorials with this length now, absolutely gorgeous

ItsThatJo: Your hair looks so good! Well done, Lucy! And welcome to the short hair club Once you join it, you never really leave haha

Bethanie H: I LOVE IT, Lucy!!! ☺️ I’ve been here since teenage Loepsie, and I was so surprised today to see that you really cut it! Congratulations! It’s super cute! hugs from Texas.

Suzie Le Goff: It suits you so well ! Also makes your hair look healthier It made me laugh so much when you couldn't stop cutting haha we've all been there

fictionalhuman: Holy smokes, you look SO GOOD! That initial reaction from the first but chop there was a gasp of amazement from me. I hope you continue to be happy with it! Your hair looks so much fuller now.

Mills' Skits: It looks great! Hope you have lots of fun styling it! I'm also so in favor of people learning how to cut their own hair! I've cut mine since relatively young (my mom cut it before that). I've never had anyone ask if I cut my own hair. It's so nice to know you can do something yourself.

M K: I absolutely love this length on you! The fullness of it looks really good and makes you look more energised

Miranda: This looks great! I'm getting my hair cut in a similar way this week and I can't wait.

DaisyLady: This length looks absolutely beautiful on you! Especially in combination with your glasses❤️

Melanie Caprio: You did so good, it looks amazing! That style fits you really well

Floral Wallpaper: I went from hair all the way to my butt to a bob and I LOVE it. It was the best thing I did because all the weight from having long hair was gone and it dried so much faster. I’m always tempted to go shorter haha. I love how full your hair turned out! Gorgeous!

Uru: It looks super cute and healthy! Good job! can't wait to see how you style it in the future!

Eebeegee: Love your hair! It's a great look on you and can't wait to see some vintage styling with it!

Adrian Cirricione: Your hair looks great! I love the way you’ve styled it in your most recent video upload…it really suits you! Ironically enough, I’ve discovered your channel a few years back from when you were in that Brad Mondo video. I’ve been faithfully subscribed and watching your videos ever since!

Doe Deer Wonderland: This looks SO GOOD!! It looks so full and bouncy, it totally suits you omg

Anonymous Person: It was so much fun to see you doing the same emotional rollercoaster I did a few years ago knowing how nice it was to have worked through that. I had short/mid length hair for about five years after that, and recently cut it into an actual jaw length bob. I'm very glad I did, even though I now plan to grow it out, but MAN is it a pain to cut the back! I feel your pain... And I have to say, it looks Really good on you!

matchapancakes: It looks great!! My hair has the same texture and I began to cut it like that during the pandemic. A blunt, straight cut around collarbone height or a bit shorter makes hair like ours look healthier and fuller.

Sophia: Looks so amazing!! Did the same thing a month ago, had an intense grieving period for like 2 weeks, and then loved it :D

Monica Whisenant: I love love love it! So pretty, totally suits your gorgeous bone structure!

Sunshine Cakes: Your new hair looks amazing! I was also planning on cutting my hair shorter soon!

JR Rose: This style looks incredible on you! Cutting my hair jaw length was the best thing I could have done for my hairs health, it seems to have created a "restart" and my hair has never been healthier.

Kimberley Rees: You look amazing! ❤️ I have very similar hair and did a huge 35cm chop earlier this year, I still miss my length somewhat but it's very liberating being shorter.

Grozmeister E: Oh, it looks really good! I try to get my hair long for years and years and years but the ends always break around this shoulder length. Some parts get longer but most of it just thins out. The positive thing is that I can finally afford going to the hair salon now xD Let's see if cutting it regularly or some salon magic can do something. In my experience they will just give me a similar length to yours and I will be happy for few month.

Abigail: Ahhh it’s so cute! Your hair looks so healthy!!

mce1939: It looks very chic! And it will be fun to do vintage styles with that length. I still consider you the braiding queen, and it will be fun to see you do many different styles with this length. My hair varies from short to long, and even when its shorter, I still use many styles from your videos <3

xosomelikeithot: It looks amazing. I always thought you would look amazing with a bob and I was correct lol. Looks very full and healthy.

Mels Lannister: Good job! Makes me want also to cut my hair shorter. I always had long, down-to-my-butt hair, until i've decided to cut it shoulder-blade length last year. And I still love it! My hair looks great and healthy, and it's way easier to braid. I don't think I'll cut it to pixie length, just because I like, when my hair is up and away from my face, but I'll definitely cut them shorter

Lucia Tat: You look so good with shorter hair! Congrats for the courage to do it yourself!

Eleanor Besly: It looks gorgeous! You did a great job, and it suits you so well. You hair looks full and healthy! When I saw your video, the first thing I thought of was watching when you cut your bangs! Fantastic results, congratulations!

Vivi L: My hair grows very quickly - I had a cut two years ago from below my bellybutton to a bob, and it's past my waist again even with a collarbone-length chop last summer. I am partially itching for a shorter cut again, like the one you did, or keeping it long and seeing what I can do. But I think my hair looks best in a lob.

Bunchie H: Just adorable! I love that you kept going.. I think you look great....more mature but still young and fresh. Can't wait to see it after you play with it a while, and you should definitely record Robert's reaction! Great job! <3

Hope Gregory: Love the new hairstyle!!! Looks beautiful!

ParisTexas: Hair grows back! Great that you did it. It looks so good. It looks healthy and full.

Sandie M.: Your hair is beautiful! Could you hear me screaming STOP just before the last two cuts? LOL! I was terrified you would go one cut too many. It's gorgeous and bouncy; there is a length the hair gets to where it starts to look stringy and thin at the ends. This length is different for everyone. I had my hair cut off last October to just touching the top of my shoulders, and I paid attention to when it started to look thin and stringy; for me, it is past the shoulder blades. So I keep up with trims every 6 weeks. Also, I make sure to leave my hair long enough to pull back in a ponytail or pin it up. This lady gets hot all the time! Have a wonderful weekend, xoxo's Sandie

planningtolive_thebestlifeever: It looks so good!! I was tensed up for most of the video but it turned out amazing! I can’t wait to see what it looks like washed and styled

Little Hamster: Congrats on that new haircut and facing your fears! It was very much worth it, you look super cute! When I decided to cut my hair from bra-length to almost chin-length I was terrified, same when I decided to cut it into a very short undercut, but I don't regret anything, it's so freeing to just drasticly change your hairstyle, sometimes I considered the possibility of growing my hair again just so I could cut it out haha Also when my hair was chin-length, I used four ponytails to cut it: two in the front and two in the back. It could be quite fiddly but overall it worked fine, that way I could make sure the front and the back were about the same length!

Marinela Dimitrova: Absolutely love the haircut! ❤Also, just made me cut my hair a bit, because it got long and it's 30 degrees here, too, so I was like - nope, I am tired of getting hot just because of my hair.

Laurel Swell: Your hair looks so much healthier , well done:)

Colleen Marble: I love the new cut! I just cut about 5" from my hair. I have thin hair too (thinner than yours), and while I can make it look good when it's past my shoulders, it takes a LOT more effort, and it doesn't stay looking nice for long. My hair is very straight, so I have to curl it to get volume, but the curls don't always stay. I cut mine back to about your new length (using several small ponytails and something to measure with so I cut the same from each ponytail) and it's much more flattering on me now. It has more volume and movement. I have been cutting my hair at home for several years as well. It saves so much time and money, and it's easy to do with longer blunt cuts.

Joanna Rasmussen: It looks AMAZING!!!!!! I love this cut on you!

anna_chm: You look great! A little tip for cutting a straight line is to devide your hair in 4 sections, put them in pony tails and slide the elastics to the same lenght on your back (or shoulders). Then cut or point cut if you're looking for lighter look. I think Brad Mondo has a video where he explains the method better that I did :D

eydie sanders: I love it! It looks much fuller. You look amazing!

frazee1: omg i absolutely love it ! its so bouncy and healthy looking !

Ann S: It looks super cute!!!! I go from super long to super short hair every couple years, but my hair grows really fast, like 1/2 inch to an inch every month. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

xmrgx: i LOVE cutting my own hair. i think you did a great job! <3

Sasha Jones: I remember watching you cut your bangs a few years ago and now watching you do this is amazing! Always inspired by your transformations!

Alelia: Wow!! Short hair looks great on you!!

SimplyKay: Lucy, you are so beautiful no matter what length your hair is. I absolutely love this change. You are gorgeous inside and outside.

PREETI SHARMA: This change is good and you always look pretty, yeah girl

audrey: It looks SO GOOD ON YOU!!!! I think you did the right length, I love it! Hope it isn't too much of a shock, haha

jjackie26: Never thought I’d see the day! But it looks so good on you. Your hair instantly looked thicker. Can’t wait to see new hair content!

pap3rwings: It looks great! Good for you for taking the plunge!

Polona Zupančič: It suits you so much!! I'm looking forward for many new short hairstyle tutorials.

Julie Kozlowski: Love it well done!! So cute and it looks so much fuller.

Donna Hayward: It looks REALLY good, and like double in thickness! I think the length you ended at is perfect

Sheryl Z: Cute! You did a good job! I've also been cutting my hair into a mid-length bob for years. I don't mind it shorter, but also want to be able to put it into a ponytail. I cut my hair wet, though. I wonder if I'd be better off cutting it dry
