Foreign, I just came back from the Dyson event where we learned about their Corral hair straightener. Just to let you guys know a little bit about myself. I'Ve been a professional makeup, Artisan hair stylist for over 15 plus years, and a lot of people ask me what does that mean like what does it mean that your hair stylist - and I guess the easiest way to explain this to you - is that I'm a makeup Artist, so that's what I do on set, but I also do hair styling, meaning generally, I style, hair versus cutting. I guess if you just need texture, if you need an updo, if you need an actual hairstyle, then I'm your girl. So I think that's the distinction between a hair stylist and someone who actually is accredited to cut and color or work in a salon. So Dyson invited me to this event to learn about their new hair, straightener and guess what I got: the Dyson Chorale professional. One thing I can tell you about Dyson is their packaging is so nice. Everything is just well thought out. This looks like the actual straight iron and again there's another instruction manual in there. So this is the purple one I got so this looks like the base of the stand, and then this is the holder, holster. Okay, so here are the cords. Okay. This is a beautiful, really really long cord, I'm always struggling with the cords, especially if I don't have an extension cord on me and then let's open this guy up beautiful kind of plush soft carrying case for this and then inside. That is nice. It is nice. You can just feel how substantial this is in the hands. It does not feel inexpensive at all. You definitely feel like you're holding on to a very sturdy piece of Machinery. So, let's just open this up there she is so this is a black and purple color. We'Re just going to click this button here in this area. You can see where you can turn it on and have the different heat settings. So this is the power button. Let'S turn it on and see what happens. So it's saying plus or minus, let's just press Plus, oh okay, right away made a little cute sound, really excited to use this and I'll give you a proper review after I used it a few times. Hey it's been a few days and I did a unboxing for the Dyson curl straightener and I've been able to use it on myself on clients and at an actual Dyson hair event. I was hired by Dyson to do some of their beauty Squad members and some editors for tip, so I really got to try out the Dyson Coral straightener, I'm just going to run through some of the features and talk about what I like about the product. What I might not love about the product, so let's just get real and talk about it. So here it is. This is my Dyson Chorale straightener. It is the black and purple model. It'S very Dyson Dyson loves to do their dual tone colors. This is the stand. It comes with it's a charging base, the actual cord. It'S super super long, the cord just magnetizes and stays in there, which makes it very convenient, and at first I thought to myself as a professional hair stylist, what happens if I'm using it. It runs out of batteries. Well, this cord comes off and it actually goes to the back of the base here and you can use it as though it's corded, so it gives you both options of it being cordless and corded. I thought that was really really smart and very functional for someone who's on set and can use a straightener for quite a long time. Let'S go through the features really quickly here. So the first thing you'll notice here is that there is an airplane and home mode, and what that does is its natural safety feature so that it doesn't turn on by mistake if you're traveling or if it's in your hair kit. So if you put it on the airplane mode, which is this one here - it actually doesn't allow you to turn it on at all. So I'm pressing the buttons right now and it will not turn on and so there's a power button and then two temperature controls - and this is the lock button here. So when it's locked it just keeps it nice and closed click it up and it opens up. Okay, we're going to turn it on and right away. You can see that it lights up and it asks you plus or minus I'm gon na hit the Plus, and you can hear it click and right away. It shows you the temperature at where it's at. Let'S just boost it up all the way to 410, so I'm going to hit up up up and you can see that it's highlighting on the 410 and slowly it starts to climb up now. This heats up really really fast, which is convenient when you're on set or in a rush. You want it to get hot quickly. You don't want to have to wait for it. It'S going to make a blinging sound once it hits the temperature you want there. It is a little check mark and it shows you here that it says 410, which is the temperature that I wanted it. So you can see it has this like bounce to it, so it allows the hair to really slip through. I don't know about you guys, but when you flat iron, your hair, you have like a death grip on it. I mean I do and it's probably not a great thing, especially when I'm doing someone's hair, I'm very hyper concentrated. So pretending grip really tight, but with the Dyson Corral straightener, you don't have to the lighter you press, actually, the better. It gives you a little bit more control and you're gon na see how the hair just Glides right through I'm, going to turn that off. For a second, I wanted to start with my hair wet and just blow dry it through. This is the actual Dyson paddle brush that Dyson gifted me. Thank you so much Dyson. What I'm going to do is just I'm going to start by lightly blow drying. My hair, I'm actually going to use the Dyson air wrap. This is what it looks like just to show you, foreign, full disclosure. I need a haircut, it's giving me full like mullet Vibes. It has a mind of its own. It likes to curl under over. So you can see here, my hair is curling outwards. Today this side wants to curl inwards. I'M gon na turn on the Corral again see the great thing about this is because it heats up so fast. I'M really not worried about it where some of my other Hot Tools it takes a while to heat up done. I don't know that was like five seconds. So let's go straight in I'm gon na. Take the first like to take about like an inch here. I use a small little comb. This just helps me to comb through and allows it to have a little bit of control, I'm not pressing very hard, I'm curling it downwards and right away. You can see how straight that is compared to the rest of my frizzy hair. You can see the difference between this front piece, see these back pieces, how frizzy they are and they're going that way. These pieces go straight down the back of my hair. The pieces are very short, so I just kind of grab it underneath and just go get the ends because they're so short, but look at the difference between one side to the next. Obviously I have to cut these pieces off because my hair needs a bit of a haircut. Let'S do the other side again small piece, my hair is very short so fast and quick, okay and then I'm gon na bring down my second section and when I love when you straight iron, your hair, the natural shine just comes out because it takes away that Frizz, so you see the actual hair color. That is a huge difference. As a hairstylist points are my energy. They are always in the way, the outlets, never where you need them and not having cords. Honestly, it gives you the freedom to just move your arms, where you want to and not have a cord in your way. Usually when I'm working on a model or a client, the cord is either overlapping their neck, going over their chest going over their lap. It'S so awkward, especially the back. The back is like. If I had a cord here, it would be going down my arm right now and going being so much in my way. Putting my comb underneath grab it and then slide it through really slowly, but the difference between this side to this side, all right, so we're gon na do these front pieces, I'm just going to do a little sectioning here, so I can just take it layer by Layer bring it through slowly bring it down and curl inward completely up to you on how you want to do that, let it glide through really slowly to that again. This is so easy to do. I'M taking my time only because I'm talking to you guys, but generally, I would have been done a really long time ago, all right! This is what it looks like straight irons, unstyled just straight up a straight iron generally. The way I style my hair is I'll. Take most of it brush this side back and then this side I, like a usually I like a little volume, all right guys. So this is the final style. As you can see. It gives me a really nice sleek straight iron. It'S a super versatile piece. You can do curls with it. You could do waves with it. On my hair, I think it looks best straightened just because of the length I'll add some lengths Below on where you can purchase this. But I have to say overall, as a hair, stylist it'll be one of the more used tools for sure if it was up to me as a hairstylist or just as someone who does her hair, I, like everything, cordless a cordless blow, dryer a cordless curling iron. A cordless air wrap a cordless straight iron, so Dyson, if you guys, are listening, please, let's see what Steve thinks babe. Can you come and take a look at me sure hello? What do you think it's so straight? Yes, I hadn't seen it this straight. In a long time, I usually have a natural wave, that's good. I like it yeah super easy to do with the straight iron. Do you like it? Oh I love it. No, I I mean life is an understatement. Thank you. So much Dyson - this is incredible. The review is Dyson Corel straightener 10 out of 10. amazing, and I have to say that it's been a long time that we've seen Innovations on straight irons. I haven't seen a tech innovation in hair. In a long time. I have to say that this is incredible: keep it up Dyson! I could do a review on the air wrap as well. If you guys are interested, let me know I also have a supersonic blow dryer from Dyson. We could do that as well thanks. So much for joining me until next time see you soon bye,

Veronica Chu: I love my dyson corrale!

Grace: I don’t like that it takes 70 minutes to fully charge. So even if you’re planning on using it corded it still has to be fully charged prior to use. This is specified on their website. I was using it corded and the temperature kept falling. It wouldn’t stay at the set temperature. Anyhow even if it achieves the desired temperature within secs it drops it just as fast if it’s not fully charged. For the price it should work perfectly while corded. When I want to flat iron my hair I don’t want to wait 70 minutes and still need to be corded. Dyson does say that it has to stay in its base when not in use. Anyhow considering returning.
