Should you tie your hair up when it's wet? The answer is absolutely not. Hair is in its most fragile state when it's wet and tying up hair when it's wet in an elastic can cause breakage, hair, thinning, frizz traction alopecia from the heavy hair and just overall damage. If you absolutely have to put your hair up when it's wet, I would opt for a gentle claw, clip hairstyle or a loose braid secured by a silk scrunchie to minimize damage tag.
