Hello, everyone, okay, so someone asked me to show or provide details of what I've experienced when I've gone one month without washing my hair, when I don't frequent wash my hair and wait about a month or so I experienced sebum buildup. So, to show you what it looks like I've actually scratched a lot of it from my scalp and collected it in the sink. When you see this on your clothes or in your hair, you may think it's dandruff, but it's actually sebum. That has dried due to a liquid, such as water or sweat, mixing with it, however, the now pasty, oily and waxy mixture is not removed from the scalp. Now, in this clip, I added some water to the dry sebum to show you how it turns into a paste. Thank you so to contribute to a healthy, growing environment. I make sure to remove the buildup by pre-pooling, with grease and using a scalp shampoo

CuteNobi: Everyone develops different amounts of sebum. Therefore, everyone needs to do what’s best for them.

rose violet: Thank you for showing this! I notice that now even going a week without washing my hair, I experience a dry, flaky scalp, especially around the hairline, and it looks like dandruff raining down when I scratch. So as long as I don't go past a week, I'm good! But alas, life does happen sometimes.

C Foster: Thanks girl, I was the one who asked you about this! I caught covid for the first time and it's been rough for me. I'm about to wash my hair after a month. Looking at my scalp I can see it's a hot mess but oddly enough my scalp isn't itchy but lots of flakes and sebum buildup. Can't wait to get back to frequent washing.

Autumn432hz: I produce little sebum, i have actually been on water rinse only with only olive oil for 4 months. Loving it so much

Posh And Classy: Thanks for sharing! I also believe that the sebum buildup can also effect the amount of moisture your hair receives from your hair from the scalp.

Epic Realist TV: Wow, that looks gross even though it's good for your hair! Question: when you use the grease, do you put in on your scalp or just your hair? I also use it and because of the amount of people who seem to have clogged their scalps using grease, I am skeptical about applying it to my scalp anymore. I also want to actually see/feel my sebum, which I have not in years.

adelicaterose: Well I was too lazy to prepoo one week and I just hoped in and started soaping up...I ended up stuck detangling all my hair for 2 hrs If not I would've broke and teared off my hair. So for us curlys it's kinda important.

Just Be U Neik: I mostly get sebum build up around my edges and the lower nape area of my head. I refresh my scalp with rose water in between wash days for 2 to 3 weeks. 4 weeks the longest.

Ashley Armani: Please show low manipulation styles for short to medium length hair. I noticed you pull your twist back in a ponytail, but my hair isn’t long enough to do that. I need help finding styles that I can wear to work.

Sable 711: Warning taken even though I don't seem to get sebum! And, ooh gross!

MsNuKynk: That's old hair grease that's attracted dirt and build up, NOT sebum.

marian B: Hi MM...TFS. I have been wearing extensions due to school. I am overdue with washing my braids (2 weeks). I have to either take down my braids or wash them, lol. What do you recommend as far as washing braids with extensions. Some women use oil, or conditioner.

BonitaDolka: Hi, hopefully someone can respond to this but I want to start this journey but I can’t twist to save my life so I’ll be going to a stylist. Can wash my hair and scalp with twist until I take them out in a month?

Ola YemiArts: Please ma, do u use leave in condition or us conditioner for your natural hair

Marvia Robertson: That's disgusting

Ashley Bennett: *Making money is an action. Keeping money is a behavior, but "Growing money is wisdom" I figured this out a week ago*

Who Knew: Eeeeewwww
