Foolproof Heatless Curls... Works Every Time

Best Heatless Curl Method

I’m finally sharing my in depth video on how I achieve overnight heatless curls using the heatless hair ribbon and get consistent results every single time. In my opinion using a silk hair ribbon will help your overall results to be frizz free, shiny, bouncy and full of life. After having my second baby, my postpartum hair loss has been a journey about finding ways to style my hair using less heat and this method is in constant rotation in my hair life. I hope you find this video helpful and hopefully your questions has been answered.

Let'S chat about heatless curls., I don't know how many years it took us babe took us so many years. We tested so many different products and inventions for overnight heatless curls to get the best results. That will last a long time and it's just gon na look. Fabulous. And there's only one method that has worked for me, so far., One method, that's kind of foolproof honestly, and it's really easy to achieve.. Let'S talk about it.. This right here is the product that creates these effortless curls that have a beautiful, lasting result. In my hair. This is the Heatless Hair Curling Ribbon.. So this right here is 100 % silk.. That'S why I think you get the results that you do less frizz, it's very smooth! It'S very silky., It's just in my opinion for heatless curls. This is one of the best that I've tried so far with pretty much foolproof results.. So there is nothing inside of this ribbon. That'S metal or plastic. It'S literally kind of this memory foam, but it does keep it shape. And that's another reason why I prefer this to a bathrobe.. I did the bathrobe also.. I did a whole video on that and showed you guys the results.. It was good, but it was not. My favorite, because the bathrobe it scrunches up and it creates these kinks in the hair. And the overall result. It'S not as smooth and even in comparison to this, because you do have this cylinder circular shape this tube. That does hold your hair in place and it creates those beautiful bends and waves and curls within the hair.. Now let me show you the process of how I do this. This method I found how to actually twist is from laineymariebeauty and she did it with the bathrobe and that's what I tried it with, and I fell in love with that method., And this is phenomenal for this right, here.. So you're gon na take a small section at the top on both sides. So you're gon na take this front section. You'Re gon na wrap it over under and bring it all the way to the beginning of where we started so right there to the front. You're gon na. Take that back section again over under and back to where we started. Just like that.. So you see this hair ribbon, it's always in the center., So you start adding here you can add smaller sections or bigger sections, depending how many bends you want in your hair., The smaller sections, the more curlier bigger the section you're gon na get a bigger wave.. So you're bringing it to that first section kind of clean up and then do the same thing over under all the way around back to the beginning. Just like that., And you see how it's kind of creating a braid.. Let'S add some more hair. and add it to that one., And then these this back section I like to add hair from kind of the center of the back of my head. And then last but not least, these last pieces I like to add to the front. So that they're going away from my face., So when my hair is laying forward the curls are going away instead of towards my face.. I just found that to be my favorite look on my hair. And then you finish this exact same way without adding any extra hair'cause, there's no more hair to add. You're, essentially braiding around this curling ribbon. And then take your ends. Kind of crisscross them like so and then you just tie it off with the hair tie., That's it., It goes by so fast.. It probably takes me a total of less than five minutes to do my entire head start to finish with applying products. Once you get into the groove of it. It'S so fast, quick and easy.. You don't even have to use a mirror honestly unless you wan na see where you're placing your hair or your sections.. It is just such a foolproof method once you get it down and you figure out how it looks best on your hair, Tahis method of kind of interlocking and going different directions. It gives you kind of the best of both worlds., But I kind of wanna demonstrate that on this hair and show you guys what it looks like here on camera and I'm gon na. Take you guys to my bathroom where I apply these overnight.. Let'S do the overnight heatless curls., Hair, serum first., Leave-in, hair products, IGK Good Behavior and then the Reverie Leave-In Treatment.. I just take several pumps of each.. I like to place it, at least in the middle of my head kind of do like a messy line in the back.. I'M gon na take one side put it away, tie it off., First section and two.. The section closest to my face is going away so away under and back over to where I started., And this section in the back is going over under and back to where I started. And I'm just holding it always underneath with kind of my thumb.. So this is where I'm gon na start, adding hair., You can add small or big sections just depends on what you want. So same thing over all the way under and back to the start.. I'M gon na hold this section. Gon na add some hair over all the way under and back to the start., I'm just gon na repeat this all the way, down. So same thing on this side. I'll, see you guys tomorrow, morning. Now, let's talk about the products that I applied, my hair before I wrap my hair around the ribbon., So the first thing is: I apply: hair serum., That's basically to help grow. All of these hairs that I lost postpartum. And I think it's doing a fabulous job.. I use a Divi serum. Incredible.. Next, I go in with some kind of leave-in treatment.. This one right here is by Reverie and it is their Anti-Frizz Leave-In, Nourishing Treatment.. I like this one. I'Ve used it for a while, and it makes my hair feel very nourished and soft., And then, on top of that, I go in with this. The IGK Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray.. I like this one, because it kind of helps soften the hair, a little bit more and makes it more manageable and it just also smells delicious.. But I find that my hair does have less frizz with this in combination with everything, else. And then. Last but not least, this is when I apply hair oil and it's usually when my hair is a little bit more dry., And this is by Act and Acre their Cold-Pressed Hair Oil.. A little bit goes a long way.. So does it really matter if your hair is wet if it's slightly damp, if it's dry, what type of results you get? Yes from my experience, it really does matter.. So the first method, I'll kind of quickly talk about, is the damp method.. So you don't wan na start putting or wrapping your hair when your hair is literally wet straight out of the shower.. I would give it at least 30 minutes to kind of chill out dry up a little bit because the roots, that's what matters., If your roots are not almost dry when you put your hair or wrap your hair around this, it's not gon na look good. Your Hair is gon na, be super frizzy, your curls are not gon na set in place, and your roots are gon na, be all over and they're. Just not gon na be contained and tamed down. A little bit damp to get the best results and the longest lasting results, because these types of curls, if you do it on slightly damp hair overnight, they last until you wash your hair., The second method, dry hair. But then you spritz it a little bit before you wrap the hair.. I'M gon na use a little bit of water mixed in with like a leave-in, conditioner and just spray.. I'M not gon na saturate, just give it a little bit of moistness and then just brush it through.. You literally just need to mist ever so slightly on top of your hair and then take a brush and just comb it through to kind of distribute the water somewhat evenly., That's really going to help set the curl.. This is what it looks. Like. You get that volume, you still get that beautiful shininess. You get that bounce, that silky soft feel. And I enjoy this method, especially if it's like the second or third day already, and I have dry shampoo in my roots.. It works great.. And that way you don't have to use heat whatsoever on your hair., The third method. This one is completely on dry, hair and it's my least favorite, because it doesn't last as long on me.. That'S what that looks like when I just take it out., And usually this one I won't brush it out.. I like brushing it out and combing it out when my hair is damp.. [ Emorett ], Bye, Bye, love, you., [, Emorett ] Good day, And there you have it on dry hair.. So another question that I was receiving when I posted that quick video was. Why are you brushing out your curls? I think that was like the biggest debate.. Do I brush them out, Or do I use like my fingers Or just kind of let them do whatever My favorite method, for my hair is to use a wide-tooth comb to brush the curls out.. I think it looks a little more cohesive. It looks more silky. It looks softer, it looks more bouncy.. I just think it's a personal preference., It's okay, if you brush them out or if you don't brush them out, it's all up to you. And one last thing. I know there are some pictures of my hair using a curling ribbon on Amazon.. I have never tried any of the curling ribbons on Amazon.. I'Ve only tried this brand, the Heatless Hair brand., And I hope you guys enjoyed this.. I really wanted to give kind of like more extra tips and tricks and show you more in depth of how this works and my method of doing this. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Hope you try them out, because Heatless Hair I've been loving it and it's just Been such a great thing after losing so much hair, postpartum to use less heat, and not just do so much with my hair and give my hair a break., But still have it styled and just feel good about myself And I'm gon na leave it here.. Thank you for watching and spending time with me and I'll see you in the next one very soon., Bye,

Steffi D: Tips from someone with super straight hair that does not hold curls if i do not do the following: +Washing hair with a more aggressive shampoo to get all of the former products out and NOT using any conditioner (weighs hair down and was a main reason they didn't hold curls for me ) + applying curl mouse that also protects from heat in damp hair and brushing it through. + Using hair dryer without the use of a hair brush in hot setting until hair is completely dry in then brushing it through once. + Wrapping the completely dry hair in whatever overnight curls i want and can sleep with best (they need to be tightly and close together to look curled and more than just a blow out) Fixating ends with a big scrunchie is easier than a small hair tie. + Using the cool setting on air dryer all over the hair to set them (fan should work too) and maybe a tiny bit of hair spray, to much will again weigh them down. + after sleep or some hours taking everything out and softly running finger through and maybe working a few drops of silikon hair oil in the frizzy parts and to give them shine. If i do all of this my hair that usually goes straight again if i simply brush my hands through, will stay completely curly for at least 4/5 hours and then will be beautifully wavy at which point i brush through them and they look more like a blow out. If i put them in a twisted bun overnight again they might still be a little twisty at the ends in the next morning. Hope this helps someone

Sister Charlatan: My hair is wavy but never looks nice naturally, ive always heat styled it but using this method for a few months now and it looks so good! With some practice it feels effortless and love taking it out in the mornings to see the curls. No more heat for my hair!

Cecilia Broussard: I love how nonchalantly she says “Amazon has been using photos of my hair”’ love it. It’s definitely because your hair is gorgeous!!

Sarah Schneider: Wish I could do my hair as easy as you! What an inspiration!!! So pretty ❤

lisa prestidge: Fool proof heatless curls….. until I do it!!!

Reggie: Many years ago and I mean many years ago my mother would use old bed bed sheets cut into strips to curl my hair before I went to bed next day curls that she would brush out similar to what you do. This method is something that I will try.

Zuza BezNazwiska: I agree! This IS foolproof method on my hair too. I tried it so many times and it always turns out great ♡

Kelly Brinkerhoff: I’ve been using a curling ribbon for about a month now, and I am obsessed! I just wrap it all away from my face with completely dry hair (or sometimes slightly damp hair on hair washing nights) and I get very curly curls! Keep in mind if your hair is not 100% dry in the morning, your curls are not going to last, at all. This is why I prefer dry hair. It comes out super curly for me.

Amy Shaw: I've been practicing that wrapping method.. eventually I'll get it lol. I would like to know what you do to your hair at night. After I get great curls, I never know what to do to make them last as long as possible. Thanks in advance

Justice Alts: I haven’t seen your videos for a while…..your hair is soo long, it’s beautiful! Great tutorial too.

Terri Fenwick: You do THE BEST reviews and tutorials. THE BEST. Thank you

Its_Jolaine: Thank you! You e been such a source of inspiration and informative content. So appreciated ♥️

K K: I saw your video yesterday. If have that same tool, but do far my curls never looked so good and they never lasted. Last night I sprayed some water in my hair, used a curl mousse and wrapped it with your technique. The curls look amazing only my ends don't look as good, but that's from the scrunchie. I'll see how long they'll last, but so far I'm impressed! I have a job interview in two hours, and I'm happy my hair looks that good

Connie Feltman: Love it! Like the idea of the new wrap! Your hair is so beautiful! Thanks really enjoyed watch! ❤️

Cris Headley: Thanks for this video. I've seen this method before (twisting hair around in both directions) but your the first one I've seen to actually turn your head so we can see how it looks in the back while you're adding sections of hair!

Julie Serrano: Have been watching your channel for years now. Totally enjoy your honest opinion and insight. Plus you and your husband are totally a blast when he's on with you. Blessing on you two beautiful angles. ❤

Dragana: I like the Dutch braid method to this. This is better than just grabbing hair and wrapping it around. It can get heavy and make the product slide back and cause hair to loosen but with your method it secures both the front and back of hair to ensure a perfect curl from front to back. Approved ✅

_elina_: Thank you for the tips! By the way, the colour of your shirt and makeup suit you very well :)

Allison williams: This is awesome!! Thank you so much!

Megan Weddle: Girl listen!! I saw the thumbnail and said to myself, “whatever that product is, I need it.” I’ve used a curling ribbon before, but it was not like this one! We’ll see how it goes.

Diane Welzel: Beautiful!!! Which ribbon did you use that was blue (at the 9:50 mark)?? Since blue is my favorite color, I'm far more likely to use it!! Great video, great technique and great results as well!!

Jacquie O'Shea: I have one of those don't use it too often since I keep my hair straight , should try it more often ❤️

Justprettymakeup: Do you do anything in particular to get the front top section smooth? Or is your hair really straight already?

Orysya F: Has anyone tried the $10 Amazon one compared to this one for 40$

Kinga: Your hair is soooo gorgeous!! :)

Gill Sargisson: Great video, thank you x

Sab K.S.N: Hi how did you deal with Postpartum hair loss? If you could please share your experience. Thanks

Reina Alvarez: So off topic but you are so beautiful without make up

Roses_of_Ludovico: I wish they had one with three. Two sides and the back. ❤❤❤

Crowned Lily: I have naturally wavy/curly hair. All I have to do for wavy/curly hair is wash, style, air dry.

FootSoldier66: Wish I could do this but I’m a hardcore side sleeper and it was so uncomfortable.

Teresa McGrath: I love this method but it drives me crazy overnight, especially the gripper at the top. Any secrets?

Allison Dogaer: I always seem to get a funky kink on the front pieces. Any tips to get rid of that?

Arielle Nguyen: Thank you ❤

Sairah Walsh: Great video- darn I get the 404 page not found when I click on the link to the heatless hair ribbon. Too bad, I wanted it!

fzn: Thank you for this video

Julie Howell: Would you not get the same results just french braiding each side?? Or would the curl be to tight? Got me really curious.

Jennifer Johnson: Thank you!!! ❤️

Leslie Nurton: Do you have any suggestions for shorter hair? What if your hair in the back isn't long enough to come to the side?

Heather: We used to use socks in the 80s lol. Ohh, it was sooo uncomfortable to sleep in, LOL but in the morning, it left some serious curlage

Phoenix1111: It's like French braiding!!! Beeyootiful!

Cecilia Suarez Villarroel: I think it's very uncomfortable for sleep with it, doesn't it? Anyone has any advice?

Scilla H: The link to the heartless curl doesn’t work.

BabyNotInTheCorner: So im watching ur video cuz it showed up on my Google feed. So watching a few of these now, I definitely think this satin tube is the best and I found them on ebay for $6. I think tho the videos of the version that wrapping it around works best, not crisscrossing cuz that's getting too complicated espbfor those that have hand issue, especially us getting older and arthritis, but my arms always get tired having my arms up too long? So I think it would work best and easiest to take sections and wrap each section. Prob best to start with section closet to face cuz those are the face framing ones and will be curlest & tightest by being protected in place by sides & back of head. Just like if using curling iron, start from front and work backwards. So do section and tie down with small thin pony tails u can get 50 for $1.00. So then grab next section and wrap over it w new ponytail holder. just keep going to have back of head. Finish holding all with the scrunched, or even use the DT thin scarf and wrap all around to keep it held tight while sleep. Then do other side the same. Also I'm thinking to buy a 2nd set to do the back section split in 2 for tighter curls on back plus each of the sections would not be so full of hair esp thick hair or real long hair. So try this and see if the curls are better and fuller and maybe even last longer and let me know.

Steph: I love your videos milana...Can you please send a link of the hair rod you use? The one you've put on doesn't take you to anything?

ana canales: Hello, could you please provide with another link to buy this product.. when I clink on the link, it gives me a page not found message. Thank you an God bless!

Lisa Davis: That’s a nice big bathroom!! Bug enough to have an echo! You go girl!

Danielle H: Does this work with shorter hair? My hair is to my shoulders.

BiBiche Knauf: Now that you cut your hair, can you do another video using that tool on shorter hair? Thanks.

Krista Nicole: I’m getting a page not found message with the hair ribbon link

Lindsay Barron: £59!!! You can use a scarf. Seriously no way.

Erica B: Hi. How are you? I have layered hair and this method is so difficult to me. Please show us a donut over the head. Thank you.

Magda Souza: Love it

Rossella Boso: I guess this method doesn’t work on a medium bob though

Sharon Sacks: Looking at the montage it looks like a lot of things worked for you

D Heredia: Beautiful

Carol Kraus: While her hair is beautiful, this is not a new technique. This was something old old old black women used to do to curl their hair. I remember my grandmother doing this.

Stacy Cannady: HELP!!! The link for the ribbon doesn’t work!

heartsdeprived: The link to this product no longer works

tiffanyblubox: I sleep on my side… I don’t think I could with that thing on my head

Rebecca Dietrich: But how does the back hair curl as much?

AndreaRenata Gomez: Nice method...but I can't imagine sleeping with that...my sleep is too important

Nataly Pogo: Unfortunately, in the morning there is an ugly parting on the back of the head that cannot be removed

Oksana Nupreichyk: How to sleep? I tried overnight, and I couldn't sleep, so had to undo it

VReluctantwarrior: ❤

BobbyTheDogUSA: Huge fail. Fine hair.
