Hey loves, welcome or welcome back to my channel. I hope you guys are good hope. You guys are all doing very well if you're new here my name is Liz. Welcome to my channel and if you're a return subscriber welcome back guys. It'S been a minute. I promise I'll do this natural hair update here I am doing what you guys request is what time when I do not know it's nine years, since I made that cringy video, and so I had to do the big chop and go natural, I wanted to see It was possible to grow my hairline. I can confirm nine years later, those follicles are dead. I'Ve used so many things over the years and some things have worked to a certain degree and other things have just been trash now before some of you say, oh, my goodness, you want to see what I use and give the illusion of having edges I'll link The secret video here you can click it and it'll direct you to that video. But yeah can you believe it's been nine years since it's been natural over the years. One thing that I'm proud about that. So many of you have come up to me and told me: you were inspired to go natural because of me. You were happy that I was with some kind of representation with you. That makes me happy that puts a smile on my face um, and I hope you feel so encouraged to know that you're beautiful, no matter how your hair looks. Okay me with my no damn edges, I find a way to style it out. These edges are still missing. You know some people think it's got worse, but the honest truth is, I told you. I went to a clinic where I use the products and it worked for me if you run a course for a period of time once the course is done. Your hair basically reverse back to square one. So it's either. You use those things forever or just go for the one-off option, which would be a transfer. I guess I'll give you a little update on what I've been doing. My natural hair this whole summer, I told my myself. I was going to leave my natural hair up and I did it since June September. No wigs, no extensions. I was rocking this natural hair and you know what I really loved it. Straighteners actually went through my hair. I straightened bits on my hair for the first time in nine years now my whole head, but I guess when I did a fringe. I straightened my fridge straight in the back part of my hair, but in terms of like everything in one go, I still haven't done so I don't know the right products to use when straightening my hair. So, within like a couple of hours, my hair will just frizz back into its natural state, and we've got a frizz party going on my final destination. Wasn'T the same? Look as when I left my house, you know so that was interesting. I don't want to get in this process of me, like you know, introducing heat it, and then I ruin it. If you have any recommendations of goods heat protectants for natural hair, then of course please do. Let me know I was one of those people that never wanted to. Let heat touch my hair, because I was scared of heat damage, right heat damage and I have no edges. I was just like no choose which struggle you're going to deal with the two together. I do want to be that team, even when it came to like blow drying my hair. I was one of those people that was anti-doing it I'll leave my hair to dry, naturally I'll just either thread it for it to dry or just leave it in its natural state and after all, dry. I was just not doing it unless, if I'll go to my hairdressers, she'll, obviously be able to try my hair anytime. I went for a wash so in terms of how often I wash my hair, I did go for a period where I was trying to wash it like every other month once it wasn't cornrows just to leave my hair for a bit and I can't lie it. Did grow a lot when I was doing so. However, when my hair is out, I wash my hair literally either every week or every two weeks, and I was doing myself - I wasn't going to my hairdresser. I don't find it a long process, because I know what my hair likes and I feel like once you find products that your hair likes it's easier for you to work with your hair. If I have time to be able to stick on a lace wig on my head, I feel like I should have that same edgy. To be able to. You know care for my natural hair and if I ever become a parent, I would want to be able to style and do my daughter's hair or to know what to do. I feel like this is the time to do so on my hair play about on my hair. Do you know what I mean, but as time has gone on, just leaving my hair out more and just getting to know it better has left me in a position where I'm able to just do things so quickly so smoothly, and I enjoy it right. I know the the thing that's going on now. Is we don't give up about our hair? We'Re going to do whatever and granted you can do whatever you want to do. Is your hair. To be honest, but you see me, I'm gon na turn up with my natural hair, I'm not going back to creamy crack, because I I do not like the process of relaxing. So I like the way they look, but I would want to have a relaxer today and tomorrow. I'D want to rock my natural hairs. You know I not gone back to relaxes or have fought to go retro relaxers, because someone asked me that, in terms of texture release, I really do want to try that. But again, I'm scared that it's going to damage my car pattern. I personally love my 4C hair. Despite what Society, what the media says, what the average person says, we're really quite nappy his uglies, whatever I personally love it. People often project that feeling onto me, but I'm just like baby, I'm comfortable my skin if you're not comfortable with your skin, and you think it's ugly that's on to you yeah. I just wish I had edges so that I could do more of it and show you guys for like a very restricted and limited in terms of the styling of what I can do um but yeah. This is why, 90 time I rock a bun, but this time I try to do little stars here and there try to switch it up a little bit. I'M someone that will love to do. Braids can't do braids. I have braided wig and I would love to have like faux Locs again. I can't do any of those, because I love those kind of styles you. However, I cannot because those braids will be starting like at the back of my head. Did you get? I mean, like I'm, a very realistic person. There'S no point of lying, I mean some people can do that and if you like that, that's fine personally, I don't want my brace style in the middle of my head. No another thing that I've also spoke about over the years is wanting a hair transplant. So before the um adult time from us yeah, I went from a consultation, virtually a dream clinic to get my hair transplant. My lovely doctor basically recommended um two other doctors who are much closer in Europe so and I just thought that was actually a very nice gesture. So shout out to Dr Oz 82, where I was going to go. Was it going to be America? I was about to have my procedure and I would have had to say before nature of two weeks to go back for checkup for her to analyze my program, I'm quite fussy with the doctors. I want to go to two types of um hair transplants that you can get either fut or Fue, but the one that I want. I really do not want to cut my hair. I wanted to keep my hair, so that's a different procedure out but and yeah. I never went because obviously it was locked down now outside is open. Obviously I can start the journey, but I'm not gon na lie. I'Ve gone back into being fearful again and that's. What'S put me off over the years I've been psyching up, and I speak about to you guys. I want to get a chance for going transplant, and here we are nine years later and I still haven't, got it but yeah. Sadly, I've basically Fallen back into being scared, absolutely petrified and scared of needles. The injections that you're going to have before they start the procedure to the downtime. When you have the down time, you can't just say I'm coming home, I'm gon na pop in a wig and that's it. No, no girl, you're going to ruin your graphs. Like it's very graphic I'll say you should go and look at pictures. So you can see what it looks like the process is so long yeah. If I'm able to get back into that cycle. If you know what I'm gon na go, then I would obviously record the procedure and take you guys along that Journey. So I'm still on that journal of trying to grow my edges, you find something that's worked for you please, please do feel free to share them Below in terms of products that I use. I have a few Staples as time goes on. I like to experiment different things, to see what I like what I don't like. I try to keep my routine as strict and as less as possible, because I don't want to be a product junkie, because once upon a time I was currently the products that I like that I'm using would encircle it here so that you can see routine wise. I told you guys I wash my hair either every week or every two weeks. If I have a wig and I have cornrows, I might leave it for like a month Max in terms of Trends, I trim my hair off. I'M not scared of scissors. I'M scissors happy cut it cut, it cut it because, as often as you trim it, the less Tangled your hair gets again everything I shall mention will, in the description below so make sure to check that out, but there's a shampoo. These are the two shampoos that I've Loved this year, depending on how dirty it is or how much like gel or stuff I use will determine how many rinses I go through, but normally I average two to three rinses and then I'll go for a conditioner. These are the conditions that I've been reaching out for is that about Mars. I don't use many, but these are what I use and in terms of a deep conditioner again, this is what I reach out for I'm a creature of habits, I'm still going to be using certain things that are not recommended and I still like to use sheer Butter, I'm not using shea butter, then I'm using this whipped cream thing over here. Actually, when I have like a refresher midweek, and I want to style my hair again, I like to reach out for this in terms of serums. These are the products that I reach out for in terms of oils. Again, it depends sometimes like reach out for oil. Sometimes I don't. These are the products that I reach out for in terms of my edges. This is the current oil that I'm using the thing that I like about this oil. Is it doesn't tingle, I don't feel itchy and for me that is a bonus because a lot of oils I found my scalp doesn't like, and I also try and do a lot of massages. Whilst I apply these get that blood circulation going so in terms of slicking, my edges I just use, got to be, I use a toothbrush to slick and then I tie it up with a headscarf at times. I'Ll. Stick my hair down like this and it's other times, I'm leaving it in its natural state, where I'll just put it up in a bun and leave it how it is to be able to enjoy my hair in its natural state and also when it's stretched out Enjoy it in all its different ways, homes I just use a candle, teaser or wide tooth comb in terms of towel, because you need to know everything. This is a towel that I use this from Amazon yeah. I think that is everything in terms of the natural hair update. I want to still carry on this natural hair journey and yeah do what makes you happy do what's best for you in terms of natural hair videos, what do you guys want to see if you let me go to see and then um? I guess I can get around to doing it. Thank you so much for watching this video. Thank you to those that requested it. I hope see my face. Put a smile on your face. It'S good to see you guys! I'Ve missed you guys! Thank you for sticking with me over the years and if I've met you this summer, because I met so many people, this song, which is so weird if I met any of you and you encouraged me to come back on here. Thank you so much and I'll speak to you, my next video bye. I said I was back and then I've gone to do a runner, but I'm back again. I didn't intentionally want to be gone for this long, but you know what I have to be honest with myself: I'm no longer that 19 20 year old used to make YouTube videos. You know I'm a grown woman. Now I've got money to make. I'Ve got fuels to pay. Keep me foreign

Chantel Keona: Great video! Thanks for sharing.

lizlizlive: If you have/had traction alopecia what products helped you? Please do share

baybeetricia: For the edges: are you allergic to sulfur? If not, you can mix wild growth oil with (black) castor oil. That will stimulate hair growth. Also, you can use brahmi as a way to promote hair growth. I would recommend henna but that will change the color of your hair and I don't think you want that
