We need like a rollers theme song. That'S what I think I should work on a roller theme song, because we got some bounce. We got some bounce, hey, what's up y'all and thank you guys so much for tuning in to another video of, as always Aaliyah, where we always keep it real. Now, y'all in this video, I'm actually gon na, be recreating a hairstyle that I did not too long ago, and that is the 70s hair Challenge from tick tock yep. So you guys heard me correctly. I participated in the 70s hair challenge, probably like a year or two ago. I don't even remember I'll, actually have it on screen right here, so you guys can see, but this is exactly how I'm going to be doing this style. I'M going to explain it to you right now, okay, so in order for me to do the 70s hairstyle challenge, I actually have to break out my roller sets, which I did store in my Sheen bag. So let me show you what hair tool we're going to be using and then I'll go into the products here. Are my rollers that I use to complete the 70s hair Challenge and we're gon na be breaking these bad boys out once more. I think I'm gon na use the red ones and also the blue ones in my hair today. So this is how they look. I will show you exactly step by step, how we'll be installing these and then once we're dry, we're going to take the rollers out, but instead of separating them we're actually going to comb them out, give it a nice fluff and there you have a 70s look. Alright, so that should be in interesting and fun. Hopefully it turns out right. Let me tell you about the products that we're going to be using today, so I have on Deck with me. The Camille Rose. This is the honeycomb curl Whip and the spiked honey mousse. So we're going to be using these two products right here. I have used these in the past. I absolutely love them and, as you guys can see, maybe maybe not it's pretty empty. It'S like down there somewhere, but because this is a mousse, we should have enough to complete this hairstyle. If not, I have more mousse on deck that we can just switch over to, but I think we should be good to go with that amount. So let me show you what other hair tools I actually have on Deck with me. I have a parting comb. This is a rat tail comb and I have my Felicia Leatherwood brush as well. This is my detangling brush that I absolutely love and we might be doing some parting in our hair today, probably just at the front and we're going to use the comb as well. And, of course, I always have Clips, because on my channel, we like to work and small sections so we'll be clipping stuff up out up and out the way that we're not using. So those are all the hair tools and products that we're going to be using to complete today's hairstyle. I am so excited to get started y'all. So let me show you guys how to apply the rollers all right. So I already have my part here on the side, because that's what I want you can determine if you want a middle part or a side part. I love a side part because it just shapes and Frames my head so much better, so we're gon na go with the side part today. Now I'm going to continue to go back just so. I can break down my hair into two sections just like that. We'Re going to work on this section first, so let me go ahead and pin all this up and out the way, and this just helps us be more organized anytime. I have hair out it's. It gets a lot because my hair is kind of thick. So it's a lot easier for me to clip stuff up that we're not focusing on at that time all right. So now we have this side all ready to go. I am going to go ahead and put my head right in the middle, where my crown is and work it down behind my ear and these parts don't have to be perfect at all y'all, but we are going to go ahead and clip the front up and Out the way - and now we have this back section right here now - what I want to do is farther break down this back section into our first row of rollers. So I'm just going to take my finger and we're not doing nothing pretty y'all we're just going to go ahead and park that first section of hair, because we're gon na put two rollers back there. We'Re gon na try all right! So all this hair that I'm not using I'm just gon na go ahead and clip it up and out the way alrighty, okay y'all. So I finally have my hair sectioned off to where I want it to be. I'M gon na probably most likely put two rollers back here, all right guys, so I scoot it on up. So you can see what's going on here, I'm not going to be using any water on my hair, I'm just going to use the Camille Rose products, the Whip and the mousse, and hopefully that is enough all right. So we have our first section ready to go back here and most likely there's going to be two rollers and I'm probably going to be alternating between the red and the blue or the turquoise. I should say these are the two rollers that we're going to be using on our hair today, and I do have bobby pins here just to secure them to my hair. This came in a set of 500 and I still have them. I probably ordered them like two years ago, so if you lose your bobby pins, often I'll have these linked below. I try my best to put the bobby pins back into this container when I am done, but we're doing pretty good. We probably have like a couple hundred still in there alrighty, so let me go ahead and what I'm gon na do first, is I'm going to apply the honeycomb curl whip now, if you guys have never smelled or tried this product, you are so missing out, because This product smells really good all right. Hopefully you guys can hear me. I did turn my heater on because it's a little bit cold, so I'll just try to speak up, but I'm just going to do two pumps of the whip here. It is right here all right and now I'm gon na do is just take that product and go ahead and start to rub it in to my hair, just like so alrighty - and I do have these little baby ones here too. So we might be throwing these in there actually have never used them before, but this one back here the section is kind of small. So maybe we can just use that baby one. I just showed you. I did split this in half and now I'm just going to clip that up and out the way so we're focused only on this section and now we're gon na go in with the Spy, tiny mousse from Camille Rose and we're gon na do one pump all Right just like that, because it's a mousse, it's definitely a little bit more on the looser sides. I believe that foam is a lot thicker than mousse just put that on there and then I'm gon na use my detangling brush to detangle through all right y'all. So I secured the first one back there and I'm gon na show you guys how to do the next one. So I just took down that roller. I already applied some of the whip, so now we just need to go in with a shot of the mousse, which is right here and remember. Your mousses are going to be a little bit more on the looser side, and Foams are a little bit more thicker or firmer. I should say so: we are applying the mousse and I am going to apply a little bit more because I want to make sure it can drag all the way down to my onions and go ahead and just secure all that mousse up in there. And now. I'M taking my detangling brush, I'm starting at my ends and then I'm just going to work my way up, just like that cool all right, so the product is in there and now we are ready to apply the roller, which is right here all right. So all I'm going to do is take my roller and place it on top of my head or on top of the hair I should say, and then we're going to start to smooth those ends on and then I'm going to wrap right over those ends. Focusing on staying in the middle of the roller and that's it and you just roll all the way up, I'm just going to secure both ends with bobby pins, so they don't come loose. Really. You probably only need one bobby pin, but I always do two just to be on the safe side, all right. So there it is y'all. We have our first two rollers installed and we can keep going so now. I'M just going to take this clip off and we are going to part our next row of hair all right, so this should be okay, it's not too thick. I am going to first start to apply the honeycomb curl whip, which smells amazing. It smells just like honey y'all, so go ahead and take like two squirts of that: here's how the product looks and we can start to massage it into our hand and then work the product into our hair. All right smells really good by the way, all right. So now what I want to do is break my hair down. I'M just going to take this and probably do two nice size sections. This is going to be the back section and that will be the front we're going to push the front up and out the way, and now we can apply our mousse to that back section, I'm doing two pumps only because my hair is not wet it's dry. So we need a little bit more love cool, get that product in there and then we can go ahead and detangle. Now I did detangle in the shower. I detangled, as I was blow drying my hair, so we really shouldn't have too many knots all right. So here's what we are working with I'm going to go ahead and grab my roller. All you want to do is make sure the hair is straight out. I hate when there's like not enough product on the end. So, like I don't know, I just like making sure my ends are fully saturated, so I just apply a little bit more mousse on the end, so placing the roller on top rolling the ends on the hair and now we're gon na roll up and then try To keep all the hair right in the middle and keep focusing on rolling up, so we get all the way up. Just like that and now bobby pin and I'm Bobby pinning the roller to my scalp cool all right there. It is all right, so I'm going to do the exact same thing to this one right here, we're going to start with our mousse again, I'm gon na do two and a half pumps this time. I'M gon na do my best to coat my ends and then work the product up: okay, y'all and then I'm just gon na go ahead and detangle, and this will also help make sure that the product is evenly throughout the hair and I'm going to take another One, that's blue, and all I'm going to do is I don't know something about these ends that I have to just like reassure reassure that the product is on there all right. So I have my hair straight out just like that, taking the roller placing it on top of the hair, smoothing it down and rolling up, and now we Bobby them all right and there it is so so far. We only have two rows installed and we're about to move on to our third row right now, foreign y'all. So here is what we are looking like. I'M all done with my back section right here, so you can see the red and the blue is in there. The rollers are looking cute and now we can move on to the front. So hopefully you guys are watching my technique. So if you are somebody who's watching this, who wants to try more intricate and advanced hairstyles this year and then go ahead and subscribe to my page, because I show you guys how to do easy Heat, free rod and roller sets on my channel, and I am Confident there is a video out there that is perfect for you all right y'all. So let's go ahead and hop into the front foreign okay y'all. So we finally made it to the last section on this side right here, of course, we're just gon na repeat what we've been doing this entire time, starting with the curl whip y'all this product really smells amazing like if I could eat it, man I would. It smells so good. I love honey, so I'm just gon na apply that section to get some extra moisture going and then I'm just gon na go ahead and detangle all right. So I got that going through and now we're gon na do. Two again, all I'm gon na do is apply some mousse and then we're gon na detangle, it's a lot of detangle in, but we want to make sure that product is in there and now all I'm gon na do is take my roller, which is right here. We'Re gon na go with red, put it on top of my hair, smoothing those ends onto the roller before we start to twist up just like that, y'all. So now that we are all twisted up, we can go ahead and secure it with two bobby pins on each side. Once I secure the first one, I can take my hands off of it because it's on there and then to Super secure it we're going to go ahead and apply that bobby, pin to the back section as well. Just like that, and now we are on our very last one on this side again taking some of this mousse and detangling and making sure the product is evenly in there all right. So I'm going to take this one and we're going to place the roller on top and Rubble on up and there you have it y'all that is it long time coming all right, let's secure it, we're going to secure the other side as well. Just like that, all right, y'all there you have it and this side had majority of the hair, because our part was right here. So this is how it finally looks and we're halfway through all right y'all. So what I am going to do is I'm going to knock off this side off camera. So I don't bore you guys to that, because it's just going to be rinse and repeat from here. Hopefully, if you guys are trying this hairstyle, you are picking up what I'm putting down. I could not wait for you guys to see the end results again once these dry we're going to take them all out and then, instead of separating them, we're just going to comb them out, and hopefully we have a nice full fluffy, curly, 70s hairstyle. Look so yeah. I will be right back when this side's finished - hey friends, all right, so I am back and my hair is finally fully completed. As you can see, this is how we're looking y'all in our fancy Dancy roller set. I am loving the red in the blue super cute friends, all right, so what I'm gon na do next is I'm actually gon na put a net on just in case any of the rollers just decide to come loose throughout the night, because I will be sleeping In this hairstyle I'm going to secure it with a net, and this is what the Nets look like. I actually got this off of Amazon, so I will have this link below I'm just going to take one of these off and we're gon na do our best to put this on our head. I'M actually surprised it's really small. I might got ta put a few of these nuts on I didn't know they were going to be that small all right yeah, so I'm gon na put two on that net cover this half and then I'm gon na put another one to cover the other half. I wish I would have knew they were that small all right. Let me put this one on it's a little bit hard because I have on nails just want to make sure everything is nice and secure all right, that's the best. I can get it friend. Hey all right, so the Nets are on my hair, all right and we'll put that back, and I am going to sit under a hooded, dryer, but probably tomorrow before I take these out. But in the meantime, I'm just going to throw a bonnet on and I'm gon na go to bed. I will see you guys tomorrow when I take these rollers out fingers crossed they come out phenomenal, like they always do. I am all out of product y'all. I was like squeezing the last little bit of mousse that I could get out of here and I still have a good amount of Honey, curl whiplap. So those are the end of the products and yeah. So I'm just gon na go ahead and go to bed, and then I will see you guys in the morning or whenever I take these out tomorrow, all right guys: Deuces, hey y'all, okay, so we are back. It is the next day, and here is how we are looking. I did take off my Bonnet because I set under my hooded blow dryer this morning for roughly 45 50 minutes um. I was actually reading why I sit under a hooded dryer. I try to do something like educational whatever, so I have been reading Think and Grow Rich, a very famous book. I actually just started this and I'm in the introduction, so I haven't really started it yet I didn't get to the chapters, but so far the introduction was really good. So I sat under my dryer and read this book for about 45 minutes this morning, and now we are fingers crossed hopefully dry. If not, it is really important to make sure that the hairstyle is dry so that it turns out correctly, if I start taking them out and see that they're not dry, I'm probably just going to get a handheld dryer and keep going like this until they become Dry, I am not going to take these out unless they're 100 dry, but I think we should be good to go like I said I slept with a bonnet on right here. My sleep was uh. It was okay, foreign once you're, tired, you're, tired and your body. Just naturally passes out I twist and turned a little bit throughout the night, that's kind of normal when you are having rollers in your head and it was okay. I think the results are going to be worth it so, like I said before, when we take all the rollers out, we are going to be combing the curls out. Unfortunately, so we can get a nice fluffy and full 70s look. I do have here with me. My tools to use so I can comb out the curls okay, so this is the cosmology comb and brush you guys have may seen this. This is the paddle comb right here. Super super cute - and this is the regular wide tooth comb that they have again super super cute. I love these. I will have them linked below, for you guys to check them out, and this is what we're going to be using to help brush and comb out. Our curls, but without further Ado, let's go ahead and take off the net and see what we're working with, and this is how we are looking y'all just so you guys can see. I am a little bit nervous. I always get nervous. I always get nervous when I'm taking out my roller sets, because you just don't know how they're going to turn out, but I think I think we should be successful. So let's go ahead and take this net off. If you guys recall, I do have two Nestle and not four two, so let's just go ahead and start picking at it and see if we can find an opening all right. So right here looks like a good spot to start, I'm just gently taking it off. Starting in the front and working my way around, so there's the first net right there and we can reuse those and now we're going to take off the second net again just gently trying to figure it out. So I'm just like gripping it and then we're gon na find the opening and then start to work our way around. Okay, all right y'all, almost there, okay, all right - and there is the second net it just came off and looks like all the curls are still intact, all right. So that is exciting, and now we are ready to take down the rollers. I'M going to show you guys how to do that. Oh you need to start in the back and then work your way to the front, then start your way in the back and work your way to the front on the other side as well. So we're going to be starting with this side, since we did do this side on camera and let me know y'all before we get started: do you guys think this is going to be a win or a fail? I did this before and it turned out. Okay, but I want to recreate the look because I think we can do even better - I always get so nervous. I don't know why I feel, like I work so hard on this hair, so I just don't want it to mess up all right. So let me show you guys exactly how to take down these rollers turn myself to the side here, all right, so we're gon na start with this one right here. The first thing you want to do is take out the bobby pin so starting right in the back, where I can see just focusing on some of the bobby pins are kind of loose and I'm putting the bobby pins right back in my container. That is how I keep track of them. If I just put them down somewhere, they will never make it back into that bag all right. So then, I'm just going to take this one on out as well the second bobby pin and now we can go ahead and start to unravel and I like to unravel in the opposite direction that I put it in. So it looks just like that. All right and then we're gon na do a field test and it does feel dry yeah. It feels dry and you guys can see the bounces there and everything should we separate. Should we say no we're not going to separate these we're just going to let it ride because we're going to comb them out? Oh, my gosh guys there is the first one all right. So let me go ahead and take this one back here down to and you're just really feeling for those bobby pins being as gentle as you can. Here'S the second one, and now I can go ahead and start to unravel that and you can see there is the there's, the second one right there. So I have two bouncy curls right in the back of my head and I am going to go ahead and take these rollers and I'm going to put them in a Sheen bag. I know they were in original like a square cart, but we're just gon na put them in the sheen bag for now to keep them safe all right. So there are the first two and we can just keep going with that. So again, all I'm doing is focusing on finding the bobby pins and releasing them from the curl or the roller, and then I'm going to do my best to roll down in the opposite direction that I rolled them in. So it creates that beautiful spiral curl and, as you can see, this is what the curl looks like once you take it out super cute, we're here for it and then we're gon na go ahead and put the roller back in the bag and continue to take These out, so we're going to start with this one next again, just feeling for those bobby pins. Here'S the first one - and here is the second one, and now I should be able to release the roller like that and there it is super super super cute. Putting the ruler back into the sheen bag, here's that roller that we just took out y'all, look how bouncy it is like girl. You can't tell me nothing when it comes to a roller set friend. You can't tell me nothing all right, so here's the curls all up close in personal, no flitter friend no flitter, okay, y'all so looks like this blue one wants to come out, but we are going to focus on getting all the ones in the back out. So again, focusing on taking out those bobby pins. I don't know, what's going on with this one, we're just gon na pull it out. It'S how we're looking all right, we're gon na take this one out, because this one wants to come out so bad. I don't even know what's going on with that, one all right, all right y'all. How are we looking so far? You tell me friend, you tell me: okay, some bounce hunting. We need, like a rollers theme song. That'S what I think I should work on. A roller theme song because we got some bounce. We got some bounce, hey all right y'all, so the back is pretty much taken out. I'M just gon na continue to going with how I've been doing it, taking out the bobby pins first and then unraveling it in the opposite direction to create that beautiful spiral, curl foreign, all right, friends, yay, just yay OMG, it looks so cute. I cannot I'm literally probably gon na cry when I brush these out, because they're so freaking cute. I just want to separate it and rock it as a hairstyle, but that was not the theme of this video. We are going to be combing. These curls out so say goodbye soon, but here's how we are looking y'all, um and they're like stiff and sturdy too, like they're a little bit hard to the touch which is fine. I just hope that the curls you know they comb out easily, so I'm definitely nervous, but it's gon na be cute y'all. It'S going to be cute trust me. Some of them are like kind of hard, but it's okay, it's cute friend, it's cute. I love it. Y'All, this is my favorite part of every videos when I get to take down the rods and rollers and see how beautiful the curls look. So what I'm gon na do is just quickly take off the rollers on the other side, and then we will move on to combing out the curls, all right, y'all, the hair is taken down and we are finally ready to go ahead and comb out these curls To get a beautiful 70s hairstyle Challenge and again I'm going to be using the cosmology comb and paddle comb and and wide tooth comb as well. I think I'm going to start off with this right here and then, if I need to I'll go in with this, but I'm just I'm not sure yet I'm nervous. Yes, are you guys ready we're gon na start on this side, since it's less hair and when I did this before I messed up y'all, I'm gon na insert the clip right here so yeah we're not gon na. Do that again, we learned from our mistakes. That'S why we're gon na try to re-record this video, but let's go ahead and start again. I just have my petal comb here and I'm just going to start to slowly comb out the curl. Oh okay, we got some volume all right. I guess just one by one all right hold on wait a minute foreign. I am here for it. Okay, let me turn and do that other side. I think it was easier for me to start at the back. I shouldn't have started at the front. I should have started at the back just by like lifting the curls up and combing them wow. Look at that and then like letting a little bit more down. Oh lost my earring wow. Look at that and we're gon na do some more. So it's a lot easier to start in the back and like work, your way towards the front, okay and then we're gon na keep going all right now we're at the top. I don't want to like over comb wow. Look at that yeah! Look at that wow, and that is how you comb out a roller set cool cool, I'm not even gon na touch it this is it right here honey. This is it oh Lordy Jesus this? Is it um feeling like a nice, 70s woman? Okay, I look like I got some money honey. This is that hairstyle when you got some money, okay, so this is how it looks all right y'all. So I keep like playing with it to get it to how I want it to look, and I think it looks really really good like. I am so happy that I had the courage to comb out those beautiful curls. We didn't even need the petal comb that may have been too much so the wide tooth cosmology comb was perfect for just combing out the curls. I'M really happy that you guys got to see from start to finish how I do my version of the 70s hairstyle challenge again, the first time I did it. It was a little bit of a flop a little bit, so we had to come back. You know and come back killing it every time honey. This is what you call don't give up, don't give up, keep trying. Curls are just looking good y'all curls are looking really really good. I didn't even like. Okay do the whole shaky shaky thing? Oh, what shut up? Okay? Now we talking honey - I just had to like figure out where I want them to go: wow, big, hair, cute hair every single time, and I still have bobby pins in my hair y'all, like I'm still taking the bobby pins out. After all that Coleman, we still got bobby pins well. Y'All see me with a big smile. That means that something went right so yeah. This is the end result of the 70s hairstyle Challenge and my version of it I'm so happy. I had the courage to recreate this look and comb out those beautiful curls.
