Hey guys welcome back to my channel and if you are new here, will it i am alana simone, so for today's video i am going to be demonstrating the three different ways that i do my twist outs. I am very excited about this video. So, let's jump right in but before we get started, don't forget to subscribe! If you have not already alright so for our first method, we're going to be doing a fat twist out or a chunky twist out, so i'm going to just go ahead and demonstrate how i do my chunky twists now, it's basically the same thing as doing a Regular twist out, however, the twists are just much bigger. The first section, y'all look at my room. Why did i choose to wear this anyway? So i take sections about this big and you guys know that i always do my log method whenever i am doing any kind of twist out braid out anything like that. So we're going to use our jamaican black, castor oil and we're going to go in with our leave-in and our coral smoothie and just mix all of that together. And you want to make sure that you're focusing on the ends as well when you're applying the product. Just to ensure that the entire section will be nice and moisturized and then when i get to the bottom, i just finger coil it out and that's it alright guys. I am almost done. I really like this method, because it's quick it takes about half the time that it would take me to do like the smaller twist that i would normally do so. I would say. Maybe i have four more twists. I don't know. Let me not say that, because i feel like the braiders, you know how, when you're getting your hair braided and you think they only have one piece left and then they split it into four sections and you're, like i don't know it's more than four okay. This is probably four also for this particular style. Like i said i do the lock method, so i always end it with a cream. However, for the other two methods, i use more of a gel based product because of the look that i'm going for so i think it just depends on. You know what it is that you're going for what look you're going for, i should say um that will determine which product that you use. We have our part down that part anyway. Should this be one piece or two pieces, we will make it one piece today and i am very heavy-handed when it comes to these products, especially when it's a cream, we don't do the dime sized amounts. I think we left that dime-sized amount business like years ago. I thought we did, but this is the last piece wrap it up. Dan fingers crossed that this will be dry by the morning, so dse it's the next day. I am going to start unraveling, my twists. They are, i think, they're dry. I guess we'll see all right now, y'all see what we looking like and we ain't even pick it out. Yet i know i'm always saying it, but y'all know it ain't quite in here with all this volume saying so we are just about done. I have a couple more twists to unravel, but so far i like how she's looking yeah now look at the shine, and these are the results of the first method and now, let's go to our second method now. This is the method that i do. I would say the most often this is my infamous wash and go so i washed my hair deep conditioned it last night, so it's still pretty damp. I'M gon na go in with my spray bottle section by section and just go ahead and demonstrate how i do my twash and go now with this method. I don't use a cream. I use more of a gel, a gel like product, just because the purpose of this method is to get the most defined curls and for me personally, i am able to successfully accomplish that whenever i use a gel, so i'm just putting a little bit of water And then i'm gon na go in with my with my gel i'm pretty heavy-handed when it comes to uh the product, especially with this method, because i feel like the more product you use the more your curls gon na be snapping. So i just rake it through. Like so, and then i just start doing my two-strand twist and then when i get about halfway, i just start raking the product through, so you guys can see the curls forming and for the most part i feel like this is how they will dry. Of course, this is before shrinkage so take that into account, but it is just amazing to see what products can do for your hair, like okay, the curls looking juicy all right, we are almost done. Do y'all see, do y'all, see the curls curling, i'm trying to tell y'all and hopefully we'll still have some inches y'all see my gray hair. You see it y'all see it right there. That'S my little friend, i've started to just embrace my gray hairs that are coming in. It just means that i'm getting wiser and thicker, i just added the thicker part, okay, whatever i got ta tell myself to make myself feel better. That'S all that matters every time i do this section of hair, i'm just so proud, because i used to have heat damage in this entire section like when i tell y'all straight out the shower just straight and just hang in there. So i'm just very proud of her and how far she's come, you know i could cry and if you're doing the twash and go method, you should be able to feel if you need more product or not like you see how these aren't really they're really talking About much so i know that i need to add just a little bit more product to really make these curls pop pop okay, and we are done. This is the second method, all right guys. My hair is completely dry, so i am going to start unraveling the twist now i had this part pinned up, so it's a little a little crease up in there, but i think overall the curls dry pretty nicely. I am excited to take it out to pick it out once i unravel the twist, i separate the hair just a little bit. I don't do too much because i don't want the ends to start freezing up and for the people who are new here and have not seen my twash and go method. You'Re, probably wondering like why not twist all the way down? Why not just do a regular twist out, so the reason why i do my twash and go is because i really like how the ends of my hair curl. I really like that curl pattern, but the roots of my hair are just more frizzy and they don't curl like the ends. I don't know if any other naturals experience that, but this is the method that i came up with to finesse my curl pattern. If you will so so, this piece right here is kind of a prime example of the method that i do so i twisted the roots right, so they have no choice but to have that curl going on and then the ends they just do their own thing. So it kind of makes my curl pattern look a little bit more consistent when i'm able to manipulate the roots to get them to match the ends of my hair. So, that's why i do my twash and goes i don't know if anybody else has tried my method if you have tried to twash and go before. Let me know in the comments below that rhymed yeah. Let me know how it went for you did you, like? The method did it work for you, okay, so i parted it down the middle to give it like a different style. I don't know i'm used to doing my little side part, but i think i kind of like this. I'M gon na turn around so y'all can see the back. Listen. I don't know what the back looking like. So let me just trust y'all. So this is the second method, my twash and go so now we are going to head to our third and final twist out routine and we are about to jump into the third and final method you guys can see. I have already blow dried my hair, and this will be my third twist out method, so this is typically the twist out that i will do when i'm going for a more elongated twist out, as opposed to a more defined. When i do my twist out on my blown out hair, i just take a little bit of eco styler gel, not too too much, because you don't want to wet it up completely because that kind of defeats the whole purpose. You know what i mean, so i just take a little bit of eco just to make it damp a little bit and then i just go ahead and two strand twist it all the way down. When i get to the end. What i like to do is take a little bit more gel and finger coil the end, and that's it. I don't do the twist that big, i still keep them kind of small so that they don't take forever to dry, and whenever i do a twist out on my blow-dried hair, it doesn't usually take that long to dry. Just because i didn't start off with you know: sopping wet hair, it's already dry, so once the product dries you're good to go so that is it i'm gon na come back when i'm closer to closer to being done, you guys get the uh the gist of What i'm doing here, i have a couple more to do up top and then we'll be done. Probably gon na go sit in the sun for a little bit to help them to dry, but um, i would say. Maybe we have like six more give or take six more twists. I start by applying the gel at the bottom first and then i kind of just work my way up to the roots because, like i said i don't want to you, know over saturate the hair with gel. For me, the most important part of this of this method is just making sure that the finger making sure that the ends are finger coiled or have some type of curl at the end, because that that can either make or break your twist out. I don't know if y'all feel me on that, but you guys will see what i mean when i unravel them and you'll see how the curly ends kind of just like make the look. This literally took like 15 minutes, not even, of course most of the time was spent blow drying my hair, but as far as like the styling part, it's pretty quick. Why did i do my part down the middle? Why did y'all? Let me do this part down the middle. This is actually a fun video, because i know the methods that i do to get my twist outs, but it's interesting to see them back to back just to see how different the results look, you know what i mean. They might not look that different, but you know just depending on what you're going for and it's nice to have options. You know, there's not just like one way to do a twist out, which i think is really cool. We are just about done. The home stretch is always like the best part about doing your hair. When you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, you know what i mean all right, so that's it this is it we're gon na go ahead and let these dry for a couple of hours, none too crazy. You know what i'm saying just get a little get a little definition going finish. My gel got ta go ahead and re-up on that, but yeah this is it so, like i said i will come back to show you guys when it is completely dry all right. So it's been a couple of hours, i want to say it's been like two hours, i'm gon na start taking them out just to see if they're dry i feel like they are okay yeah, i think they're i think they're dry and as i'm taking them out. I just do the same routine that i do with any other twist out. I separate um the curls once i unravel the twists, i thought i was gon na be here until midnight waiting on this thing to dry y'all. They went ahead and put all the 90s sitcoms on netflix, keenan and cal and all that listen. I have been binging for the past couple days and it's so funny because you know how on netflix they give you the option to skip the intro. When you start the show not with them 90 shows nope. Let me hear the entire song, especially the uh, canon and cal theme song y'all i'd be in there getting it. Okay, so y'all see what i mean now when i say you got ta finger, coil the ends, because you know i'm saying it adds that little extra, you know you know and i'm not going to add any hairspray or anything, because i am quite content with the Amount of volume that i have and yeah this is the third and final method. So let me know which one was your guys's favorite and if there's any methods that i left out or any methods that you guys do that i'm not aware of feel free to go ahead and share them below in the comments. So this method, like i said, provides you with some inches along with the curls and don't forget to subscribe. If you have not already again, i am alana simone and i will see you guys in the next one.
