Hi guys welcome back to my channel, so i had a wedding to attend recently and i was traveling to l.a. So i wanted to do something different. I decided to try this goddess look with my regular african threading and this style turned out absolutely amazing. So today, i'm going to show you guys what i did if you're not already subscribed, go ahead and click that subscribe button down below and let's jump straight into the video hi guys welcome back to my channel. So today, uh okay - i have another hairstyle for you guys. You guys know that i, like i've, been doing a lot of african threading styles recently. So my first african threading video that i did recently where i did like the singles, i decided to kind of switch it up a bit because i've been seeing people do like goddess, braids and goddess looks and goddess twists. So i'm like, let me see if i can do that style and make it like, like goddess african threading sort of so i went ahead and did a little bit of doings, and this is what i ended up with this style is so beautiful. I actually wore it to a wedding recently, so yeah, i'm going to show you guys how to transform your regular african threading style to this really gorgeous goddess. Look and i'm going to be using carl smith products to do this. So if you're already subscribed, please go ahead and click that subscribe button down below turn that notification bell. So i need five when i upload my videos and without further ado sit tight and let's jump straight into the video. So i'm starting with the regular african threading method for the base um. I already have it stored on how i did this if you haven't seen that just click the add top to watch the video and i'm gon na be using the curlsmith moisture recipe because, i always say: use good moisturizing products whenever you're doing a protective style, especially You'Re gon na be using the style to travel, so the first product i'm using is the curl condition oil in cream. As you can see, it has a very nice rich, thick consistency, and this is a leave-in conditioner which is great for doing protective styles, because it's so moisturizing and it's especially good for people like me that have very coarse hair because it does really soften and hydrate. Your strands um it's best to use this on damp hair. My hair was slightly done before i started applying the product. You can also use this to prime your hair if you're going to be applying other styling products. In my opinion, because of the consistency of this, i think it's best for people with like coarse hair or high porosity or people that have really really dry, hair hair. That'S always thirsty and just doesn't seem to feel moisturized. It has really nice ingredients, i'm going to put all the ingredients on the screen and there are no sulfates parabens, silicones mineral oil or phthalates and it's vegan and cruelty free, just like all the other products. I'M going to show you guys today. Next up we have the moisture memory reactivator. Now this is a living spray. You guys know how much i love a living spray. I'Ve extensively talked about the importance of a living spray, especially for people that have natural, especially for us that have type 4, coarse hair. A living spray helps to maintain the moisture levels in your hair. You can use it as frequently as possible just to make sure that your hair is always hydrated. I mean super light sweet, so you can use on all hair types, especially great for people with low porosity hair because it absorbs quickly into your hair. It also like refreshes, your curls, and it also revives your hair when it's feeling limp and dull, it's very lightweight. So it does not weigh down your hair at all, and you can also use this to prime your hair too, before you use other stylers again, i'm gon na put the ingredients on the screen and, like i said, it's also vegan and cruelty free with no harmful Ingredients so i'm about to start threading, my hair, so i'm just gon na do like basically a recap of how to do the regular african threading. Like i said, i already have a tutorial. Actually several tutorials, so just click the at the top. If you want to see how to do it in more detail but, like i said um but yeah, i basically section my hair. I always section my hair before i start and i have about 26 27 sections. So i just um twist my hair, a little bit at the roots, take the thread and wrap use the thread to wrap my hair and, as i'm wrapping, my hair, since my hair is moisturized and it's going to lock in the moisture in this section. This is why this is one of my favorite protective styles for retaining length on 4c hair, because when your hair is moisturized and in a protective style, there is less breakage. So after i'm done wrapping the thread on my hair, just go ahead and put beads at the end again watch my previous video to see how i do the beads and all of that but yeah. So this is also a really great protective style, because it's very versatile - and since i was traveling for a wedding, this was literally a no-brainer. For me, hairstyle is going to last me and it's going to look nice and that i can style in a couple of ways. So i'm just going ahead to thread my last section and after i'm done threading this section we are going to get into the fun part, so i am done threading, and this is what all the sections look like. Oh god, i always love my hair when it's freshly threaded, it's so stretched out, even though it will start to shrink up a bit later, but that's fine anyways. So i use some um. You can use water with hair passion, swiss hair spring twister. Anything that that is curly and the one i'm using comes in like long strands like this long thick strands, so i'm just going to cut it because we want to use small pieces using smaller pieces just makes it look nicer and more natural. So, as you can see, that piece is pretty chunky, so i'm going to go ahead and separate it into smaller pieces and when you separate it into smaller pieces, it makes it look natural. It makes it look nicer when you crochet it, and even though it's frizzy, don't worry, i'm going to show you guys another product from curls me that you can use to smooth out the frizz and set the curls. So, as you can see, i'm going to take a crochet pin a crochet hook and i'm just gon na pass it under the thread. I don't like passing it into my hair, but i rather just pass it under the thread. I just feel, like that's safer, that way so pass it under the thread, then open the loop take one side and pass it through the loop and just tie it to secure it, and that is literally it very easy, very straightforward. I'M also crocheting the hair kind of strategically, so i'm doing a piece at the roots, doing a piece on the middle and doing a piece at the end near where i put the beads so on every um threaded section that i put the crochet hair on. I did one near the roots, i did one in the middle and i did one at the end near where i put the beads now i did not do the crochet hair on every single piece of on all my 27 or 26 sections of threaded hair. I kind of skipped okay, so, basically starting from the back row at the nape area, i had three threaded sections there. I did the crochet on the first one and the third one, so i skipped the middle on the next row above the nip. I think i had about four or five sections there, so i crocheted the first crochet, the third and crocheted the fifth i left out the second and the fourth, so i was just alternating it like that on all the rows until i got to the top now, The top, as you can see like in the middle part area, i have six three on one side and three on the other side, so i did the crochet on all six, but for the rest of my hair i was basically alternating it. So just go ahead and do it like that, then, when i was done, i just went ahead and filled in some spaces here and there that i thought needed some crochet hair, and that was basically it next, i'm going to be taking the curl defining styling souffle. This is basically a styling gel for curly and wavy hair. So if your hair does like wash and goes and stuff like that, this is a nice gel to use and, as you can see, this is the consistency. It'S a firm hood gel. So i think a level 8 level 10 hold the bottle, says level 5 though, but that's an error and the brand is going to be updating that so yeah. This gives you a really really nice hold, and i'm just using that wrapping the curl around my fingers to define the curl, reduce the phrase and also add some a little bit of shine. It'S just going to help to set the curls and keep the curls in place. If your hair does wash and goes, this would be a really nice gel to use it doesn't leave like particles or like flakes in the hair, and it gives you a nice lasting, hold and again also vegan and cruelty free. The ingredients are on the screen, so that is basically it i am done putting in the crochet hair into my threaded sections and i'm just going to turn around for you guys to see so now the outro, this part of the video was actually filmed after. I came back from my trip, so i did the hairstyle went on the trip then came back, so this is literally um days after when i came back on my trip and as you can see, my hair is still looking pretty nice. All i did was just tie my hair with a satin scarf to go to bed and then, from time to time i kept refreshing it with the moisture memory reactivator just to like maintain the moisture levels in my hair and yeah this i still have the hairstyle In as i'm doing this voice over actually but yeah i'm, this is another way. I style the hair basically just put two pieces in front and tied at the back, and this is how i style my hair for the wedding. I'M gon na include clips of me at the wedding later on in the video. So you guys will see how it looks, okay guys. So this is the final result. Let me know if you guys, like this style every single time i do a new african threading style. It'S now my new favorite hairstyle. I'Ve done so many styles with african threading and all of them are absolutely beautiful. At this point, i really don't know which one i like the most you guys should vote what's between the original african threading, this one with the curls, the one where i did like um like the front and then left the back hanging and then the one where I did the ponytail run them one to four down below. Let me know which one you guys like the most. If you have any questions at all, definitely ask me on i'll try my best to answer all the stuff i use is from carl smith and i'm gon na leave all the information down below in the description box. These products are really great for doing. Like protective styles and stuff like that, especially for the summer, because i know a lot of people travel and stuff - and i always say when you're doing protective styles, you want to make sure that you're using really good moisturizing products. I recently traveled for a wedding, in los angeles literally like a few days ago, and i literally just got back so this was the hairstyle that i took with me and it lasted me. The entire time, like literally for the shower the wedding, went up and down and everything in that la heat and this hairstyle really lasted with the whole time and it was so gorgeous. I'M going to insert like little clips for you guys to see. So i'm actually filming this outro days after i did the original style and my hair is still very very moisturized. The most i've done is spray, the um moisture memory reactivator, because you guys know how much i love leaving sprays. I literally just missed my hair with this from time to time, just to maintain the moisture levels in my hair. This curl conditioning oil and cream is really really good. It'S a really good moisturizer and when your hair is in a protective style like this, it even helps the moisture to last. For a longer time, whenever my hair is like out and open, it tends to get drier quickly. But whenever my hair is like twisted, or threaded like this or in a star where it's not like loose, the moisture tends to last a longer time, okay, so that is the end of this video. That is the end of this tutorial. I hope you guys enjoyed the video. Let me know what you guys think down below in the comment section don't forget to like comment subscribe and share.
