There is so much body in my ear right now: hello welcome to 2023. We are starting off the year with a very questionable decision. I'M not going into this on a whim. It might seem like that, but I have wanted to cut my hair for the last three years and I even promised myself after my wedding. I would chop my hair off before the honeymoon, but I always always consistently the most consistent thing I am doing in my life right now is chickening out of cutting my hair me and my hair have a very confusing relationship because I love it. Can I also hear it I love the amount of compliments my hair gets. It definitely fuels me to want to keep it because I also feel like I'm letting people down. If I cut my hair because some people really like it, some people literally say like I would kill for your hair, obviously they're joking, I hope but like for me to have something that people want and then just chop it off like. That is a pressure I feel that pressure, but then the part that I really don't like is how tangly it gets, how heavy it is, how it stays damp for like 24 hours, how I, when I play in the water, it literally will like wrap around my Neck and strangle me, I was looking back at my Instagram and it only goes back six years, but I have had this hair for as long as I can remember like whenever I talk to my friends. I'Ve always had this long same this color hair and I've. Just been like longing for a change like literally look at this picture from my Instagram, that is the same hair that I have right now, like no wonder, I'm getting a little bit bored. This also brings me to the second issue I have because people are always like. Why don't you just cut like a little bit of it off like this much and see? If you like it, you can keep going shorter and I'm like okay, one of the things that I've wanted to do. Literally, I can remember the moment in school, I watched somebody cut their hair and donate it to be made into a wig for a child who had lost their hair, something about being able to like give blood and give hair. Give these things that your body produces. Is so empowering to me, and I want to give the most amount I can don't want to shave my head, I'm not ready for that. I might never be ready for that. To be honest, I do want to go like as short as I can. I literally want to cut it there. I want to give my hair to angel hair for kids, it's based in Canada, and I think you need 8 to 12 inches. I would say this is around 14 to 16 inches, so that would be enough. So that is my dilemma with just giving myself like these trims. Until I get short, then I can't donate my hair and I really want to do the one big chop, so I can donate it and what better year than 2023 and where better, to do it than at home done by an amateur, because that is such a Smart idea, isn't it did not tell my mom, I didn't tell Stewart, I didn't tell anyone in my family, so at the end of this video, I'm gon na surprise everyone with my short hair and I'm not gon na check it out. I'M gon na do this and I'm scared. I'M gon na also try to give myself the most professional haircut. I can do because I don't want this to be crappy. I watched a bunch of Brad Mondo videos. I also in literally a psychotic wave that I was in last night. I sent him a DM. He didn't respond, obviously um, but that should tell you what kind of headspace I was in yesterday. I'Ve allotted literally like six hours to cut my hair, so I'm so scared, I'm so scared! I shouldn't be doing this hair tour. Here'S my hair, as straight as I can get it, which is still not that straight actually, but whatever so from the top of my head. My hair is, I don't even know, let's see 26 inches of hair, I'm gon na get rid of 15 inches. That only leaves me 11 inches - oh my gosh, I'm so afraid like. If you guys comment and you're like. Why did she do this? It'S literally going to send me on a spiral. Please don't do that even if you're thinking it don't I'm not in like a good mental space. You can't do that to me. Okay, so in the videos that I watched, we have to section my hair. This isn't a tutorial, oh gosh, so here's where we're at I'm getting very scared, because I look bad right now, like I look bad actually, but we're gon na go ahead and do it so I'm gon na braid these, because I think that will be easier for The donation - I guess this means I'll, be cutting above where I put the elastics - that's not really what the plan was when I was making it, but that's: okay, goodbye hair! Thank you for being so nice to me all these ears. Okay! So now I'm just supposed to cut it one eternity later I have actual hair cutting scissors. Okay. So apparently, like you cut like this, I want to get a blunt cut for the donation - oh my God, I'm so afraid! Oh, oh my God, it's so sugar! Oh! Do I hate it, I'm so afraid, oh, my God and I can't go back the anxiety I feel like I look very like mitchier see. That'S not me, though I wanted to be like fun and playful short, not like structured like this short, but here we go. Did I just give myself a Karen cut? Oh no! Well, let's keep going because we can't go back now. Can we, oh God, one little strand said no foreign like I just can't stop now. I can't believe I didn't tell my family. I was doing this. What kind of psycho am I 2023 is my year of being chaotic that side's, not nearly as good wow, so cool, to see like the inside of my hair. The hoarder in me literally wants to keep these and like make makeup brushes out of them and be like. Oh you, like my makeup, brush yeah, that's uh, just my hair off my head. It'S weird because I kind of thought Look at My Little Pony, I'm sweating! I'Ve never done something like this before. In my life, I've had the same. Look the same face the same hair, the same everything my literal entire life like this is so big for me. You guys, I mean you know if you've been watching for a while, like I don't change my appearance ever I'm such a comfort person, like I don't do things like this like this - is so anxiety inducing having a minor mental breakdown and if there's something beautiful about The fact that I cannot do anything about it, it was in my control and now it's out, I'm freaking myself out. Look at this look at the screen. This is my hair. I really want to like do those cute little looks like this. It looks like a little bit too Lord Farquaad right now for me, so I'm I am gon na fix it up. So the first thing I want to do is I want to like definitely do a little bit of cutting on the bottom just to make it like not so harsh, because right now, it's very, very harsh, so I'm just gon na go in like this. This side needs help, it's way harder to cut short hair, because usually I just grab the end and like hold it in front of my face, but like this, I, like literally, cannot see. Thank goodness, the back is like not the worst, because I can't reach. Who is she give me a minute to like relax and then I'm coming back and I'm gon na do more cutting? I need to take like intermittent pee and water breaks, otherwise I'll pass out. So I need to do that. Okay, hey! So I just wet my hair, my little five strands of hair that I have okay, so I had to wet it because we're gon na do some face Framing and apparently it's better if your hair is wet okay, so I have absolutely no idea what to do And then we go like this and we just go like this and then we go like that and then we're happy here and then everybody loves our hair cut and that's kind of how it played out in my head, anyways, hi bangs. Tomorrow is Christmas, Eve and I'll be visiting my family and they're all gon na, be like oh, my Mia. What did you do to your hair and I'm gon na be like Merry Christmas? All of you, I cut my hair. Let me steal the show. Okay, how do we cut a layer, I'm gon na go from wherever this is in my head? Oh no! Oh! No! Oh! No! Oh no! You know what I just realized, I'm starting to get really chaotic and that's when bad things usually happen. But again I can't stop. Maybe my hair should be dry for this, I'm not sure but anyway, so I'm gon na flip it like this, and this is where I'm going to cut my layer. Hey hairdressers look away because you're not gon na, like what I'm doing here. Oh, I can't see it's so short. I can't even see my hair. You know what that actually made a big difference. Just a minute. I'M gon na go dry, my hair and then we're gon na do one more haircut. That literally took five seconds to dry. My hair, I'm loving how much like body it has like I've never had this much volume, but it's so puffy at the bottom. I definitely need to style it, but okay, I'm gon na do a little wolf cut moment just because you know why the heck, not oh, my goodness. What did I do? I literally feel so. 80S. I do look like a blockhead, but I also like that. I look like a blockhead. Is that weird, okay, I'm gon na curl it check this out. I don't even need these long ones anymore, whoa, it's so easy to do it, it's so short, okay. I thought it would be fitting to change into something I made, because I just made my fresh new haircut here. It is oh, my gosh there is so much body in my hair right now like I have all always wanted volume in my hair and because it was so long and heavy, I could never get it. Look at this, like a literal Blockhead, in like a good way like I'm happy about it, it's also so cute you can like pin back little pieces of hair, I'm very interested to hear what you guys think, but I'm also scared, because I know this won't be Everyone'S cup of tea, this is so much fun and, let's just hope it grows out, because then it won't be a lifelong decision. But while I have it, I'm gon na enjoy it and I hope you guys like it and I hope you're not mad at me for cutting my hair there we go now, I'm comfortable again. Let'S be honest, I hope my parents like it. Let'S surprise my parents and also Stuart and see what they think of it, foreign. What is this, what is this hair? What what I just cut all my hair off that looks great. Oh, my God, wow it's a Christmas miracle! Oh my gosh! How do you feel about bringing in Christmas with longer hair than your sister? Oh, my god, wow yo. It looks so good. Oh my God. That'S crazy! Well, with all of that being said, this was so much fun to do, I'm sure in the videos to come. I will be trying a bunch of different styles with this hair. I feel like I'm like really excited about my hair, to like style it and figure out what works and just loving the change and who knows maybe it'll be good for my psoriasis too. So I encourage you guys if there's something you want to try out with your hair, just I I hate to even say it but YOLO. I hope we can have an amazing 2023 together, I'm so excited for the videos I have planned and I'm so excited for. I get bored with my hair sometimes too, and when I got it cut up to my ears I had a midlife crisis and very quickly realized I most definitely don't have the bone structure for short hair and personally, I think it suits your face really well, like you could be a model with that cut!
