What'S up youtube, it's your girl melissa! Coming back at you with another product review in today's video, i'm actually going to be demonstrating, luxie hairs, signature curler! I have been looking for a really good curling wand for a long time and with my hair length being on the longer side. I just always struggled to find one that i didn't have to wrap my hair multiple times, and so when i found the one by luxie, i was really excited to try it because it does have an extra long barrel. So this is the styler, so you can see the barrel is like almost double the size of a traditional barrel or a one, and i was excited to just give it a try, since i love the brand and see how it goes without further ado, i am Going to get into styling my hair, so i will let you guys watch that process and then i will come back and let you know what my thoughts are on the product. So i am just going through and taking pieces of my hair and wrapping it around. The curling wand and, as you can see, i am doing it in a horizontal direction and that just gives it a more loose wave. But the length of my hair is pretty long and you can see that i have all of my hair wrapped around the wand and i still have room to spare and then i just like to hold the curls like this until they cool a little before i Let them drop - and i just kind of do - that throughout the hair after i take the larger sections and go in and curl these pieces now again, not a professional hairstylist. I do not pretend that my technique is perfect. This is not a hair styling tutorial. This is simply letting my viewers know whether or not i enjoy the luxie signature curler. So i'm going in a couple of these pieces all right, so you can kind of see now what this side of my hair looks like and i have not brushed it out. I haven't put any product in it, yet the other side is still completely straight, but you kind of get the just of it so far. I will go ahead and move on to the second side and i will see you guys in a minute so moving on to that second side, don't want to forget your glove. You will burn your hand just like you would with any other wand. So i'm actually going to start with the second side, so you can kind of see. I take it from vertical to horizontal, let it sit and then pull it out and i'm gon na hold that curl for just a second right now i have the wand set for 375 degrees, so i'm actually taking the hair, and i am going to follow the Same pattern that i started with so on the left side, my hair is going to be going toward my face and on the right side, it's going to be moving away and the reason that i'm doing this is because i like or like day two day three For my curls to be in the same pattern, because then, when i put my hair like in a ponytail or something of that nature, all of the curls go the same direction and it just looks a lot better and you can see i'm not using any clips To keep my hair out of the way, i'm just simply wrapping and you know hairs - are not perfect they're going to get wrapped up in there. I don't tend to be perfect, as i had mentioned, this is truly just a regular girl doing her hair and i am not an expert. I think that's really important to bring up because you know my channel is about real people. You know - and i i don't have any kind of expertise in this space. I just know what works and what doesn't for me and i bring that information, as i find it out. Take a look at the back of my hair. You can see how it turned out girlfriend. Are you subscribed yet? Why not girl hit that subscribe button and that notification bell so that you can get alerts to the latest and greatest from me moving on to the video? So this is the finished look um. As you can see, my hair is now up here, but typically my hair falls. I would say just about here and so having that longer iron is definitely necessary for my hair length. So one of the top reasons that i purchased the luxie signature curler was because it had a 7.2 inch barrel and girls. I don't know, but to me size matters, okay, and this fits the bill because i am growing my hair out and i want to make sure that whatever barrel that i'm using is actually long enough, so that when i'm putting it around my curls that i'm not Doubling up because that ruins the heat distribution it's not even and then your curls don't turn out and you don't want to have to go in and do it twice just to get one curl done like ain't. Nobody got time for that. So that was one of the biggest selling points, but some other features that i really love. Obviously they include the glove. They include the amazing heat resistant mat who doesn't want free stuff. I like that, it's super simple to use, so it's got a digital screen and right now it's in the off position. It has just a temperature up temperature down and power button, and one of my favorite features about this over a lot of the other styling wands and other products that i've used in the past is that the temperature settings cannot be adjusted after you decide on the Temperature, it puts it into a lock mode so that, if you're accidentally pressing these buttons even the power button, while you're doing your hair, you don't risk turning off the device or changing the heat setting and ruining your hair singing it off. You know you don't want to take it up to 450 if your hair is only really supposed to be at 300. That could be catastrophic, so oftentimes in the past, with different wands and different tools. This is like a wheel on the side of it or just like a little tiny button, and if you press it it will adjust the temperature or even turn it off. So then, i'm in the middle of doing my hair and i'm like. Why is it not curling, oh duh, because it's off that's so annoying, so it actually locks as soon as you turn it on. So you just press and hold this button. You'Ll see the temperature that is flashing and i can decide what i want it to be. So like right now, i put it at 350.. It now turns on, and it's going to blink until it's at that temperature once it hits that temperature, it's good to go, you use the product and then, when you're done using it in order to turn it off. You actually just simply press and hold the power button until it says off now it does have an automatic one hour timer, so it will turn off in an hour if by chance you just forget to turn it off. So if you leave the house, you don't have to worry about it. It will turn off automatically in an hour, which is another benefit. I just really like that it locks into that position because if it didn't you're gon na be pressing buttons, like i mean you saw like, i was kind of fumbling just trying to get my hair curled. Just because i suck you know when you're fumbling, you don't want to have to worry about accidentally pressing a button. Or you know, some of the tools have like a wheel on the side of the device and that's super unhelpful, because i can't tell you how many times like my heat tool has been at like 400 degrees, and it was not supposed to be, and that can Cause damage like non-reversible damage to your hair, so i really really like that. They include this nice little pamphlet and inside it does give kind of a list of all of the features. Another thing that i didn't mention in addition to having the heat mat is: they do have some safety rails here. So there's one on the bottom, so you're not like burning your countertop or your surfaces and then there's also one at the tip, and it is a cool tip so from here to here, is not actually the wand. So if you do grab this with your bare hand, you're not gon na burn yourself little safety tips that i really like um but, like i said they include all the features right inside on the first page, something you might have noticed when i was curling. My hair is that this little guy is a swivel, 360 cord, so another little convenience, because i hate when, like my cords, get all tangled and raveled up it bugs me, so it's just a little like pet peeve that i have so. This actually ticks that box too, for those of you that are ocd like me, that won't bother you and then on the fourth page of the little booklet that they give you. They actually give heat settings based on hair type or, if you're, using your luxie hair extensions. It'S really nice that they give you kind of a guide to go off of so that you don't damage your hair. When you receive your lucky signature, curler, it comes in this beautiful packaging and you just have to open it up here, similar to their other products. The boxes are really really well made. Have you joined my tribe? Yet? What'S that you say: well, i guess you'll have to stick around and find out, but in the meantime make sure you hit that subscribe button and that notification bell so that you can get alerts to the latest and greatest from me. But let's get back to the video overall, i will say that this is a really solid, curling wand. You know it checked all the boxes. For me, it was exactly what i wanted. I don't have anything bad to say about it. It was costly, so that part was kind of a bummer, but if it lasts for a couple of years or more, i would be really really satisfied with what i paid for it. The signature, hair curler retails for 105 us dollars, and i know that that seems a little steep, but there are far more expensive ones out there. So i do think that this is on the higher end of the price scale, but it definitely is worth it. In my opinion, one of the things that i didn't mention yet that i absolutely love is how it looks. I know that sounds really silly. Aesthetics are really important to me and i love all things. Gold. I'Ve mentioned that in a lot of my other videos, i absolutely love the gold. It'S like a soft gold finish with this beautiful cream it just it feels and looks so luxurious. It'S not heavy, like it's super lightweight, which i love, because when you're curling your hair, who really wants to even have their arms up this long right, but then, when you have like a heavy wand or like a heavy tool like i have this freaking crimping iron, Like this three barrel crimper, it literally feels like i am lifting weights like who wants to do that when they're like this for a half hour, no one. So if i wanted to get a workout, it wouldn't be. While i was doing my hair busting a sweat makeup running down my face for sure, obviously, if any of you guys have had any experience with this amazing curler definitely hit me up in the comments below or if you haven't tried it yet, and you just have Some questions before you buy. Definitely, let me know and i'd be glad to answer those as always guys. I would love to hear in the comments below if you have any product recommendations that you'd like for me to bring to this channel. I know i do a lot on beauty, but i am not exclusively doing beauty reviews it just so happens that that is a passion of mine, so i'm open to other products as well, but i absolutely love trying things out doing extensive research and then you know, Having an opportunity to actually test the products and then bring you guys, my honest reviews, so that's what this channel is all about and if you have any ideas for me, hit me up in the comments below and i would be glad to bring that information. I don't know why i'm so goofy today, but let's get back to the video, alright guys. Well, that does conclude today's video. I hope that you enjoyed it. I know that i had a lot of fun recording this video. If you are new to my channel, go ahead and hit that subscribe button and that notification bell so that you can get alerts to the latest and greatest from me. It has been really great being here and until next time. So some of the features and benefits of the signature, curler are that it has a 7.2 inch is that it has a 7.2 inch and, after being a customer, she always goes crazy. When i record videos, i don't understand it's like she has to be the center of everybody's attention, so some of the features and benefits of the signature curler is that it has a 7.2 inch barrel and that looks like really dirty.
