Hello, everyone and welcome back to a new video. It'S me ellen and if you are new around here and maybe don't recognize my face, you probably know my sister in particular, you will know her from this video. This is a video, my sister tara made of cutting her hair at home. As of today, when i'm filming this, it has over a thousand comments. 33 000 thumbs up and 2.2 million views, mind blowing. If you have followed our channel for a few years, you will know my hair has had quite the journey um. It has been long, it has been short, it has been blonde, it has been red, it has been purple, but something that i've always struggled with is curling. My hair, it's very thin. My curls tend to drop out, i'm just very uncoordinated, so curling wands are very difficult for me, but that is all about to change, because tara, i'm coming for your viral hairdo status, and today i am partnering with via sassoon to do a tutorial, showing you guys How to use the incredible new unbound cordless automatic curler, but i'm going to stop blabbing now and just get into the tutorial that i filmed earlier today. Doing my hair um and talk to you guys a little bit more about the product. Okay, so my hair is looking very disheveled and shaggy it's time to fix that. I have my curler here. This is the box that it comes in, it's quite a funky little box full of great instructions, and it comes with a little travel case. So let's get this bad boy switched on, so you switch it on just by holding this button, it will beep and now we're just gon na wait a moment for it to heat up one of the reasons i was really excited to partner and work with fiesta. Soon was because tara - and i actually have one of their hair dryers and you might be looking at the sad state of my hair right now and be like ellen, doesn't look like your hair has been blow dried and that would be a correct assumption because it Hasn'T um tara has claim over the hairdryer much to my protest when she moved to melbourne. We actually had. Oh, it's finished heating up it just beeped at me, but when she moved to melbourne we actually had a massive like spat over who got to keep this hair dryer like it was such a sister's fat, and it was because it's that good we've had it for Five years now - and there is no other hairdryer like it - so i genuinely really really love this brand. So first things first you've got to set up your curler to the settings. You would prefer so this heats up between 160 degrees and 200 degrees, and you can also put a timer on it. So this is how long you would leave your hair in the barrel. The timer can be anything between 6 seconds and 12 seconds. I found through my experimentation is my ideal. Setting is at 200 degrees, so it's nice and hot, and then i leave it for eight seconds. The last setting that you need to be aware of is the left and right setting and that's basically the direction that the barrel spins um, so i'm gon na be starting on. I'M really bad at left and right. So this just confuses me: i'm gon na be starting on the right hand, side of my hair so to get the curls curling away from your face. You basically spin the barrel the opposite way. So when you're working on your right hand, side, you want the sitting to be on the left. Oh it's beeping at me, um! This is a safety feature of the uh curler. If you leave it alone for too long and aren't using it, it will beep at you to remind you it's still on, which is super handy for people like me that just get distracted. So basically i've got a section of hair. I'Ve got a mirror over here. Just in case, you see me looking over here just to kind of line things up, you're going to slide your piece of hair into the barrel like this. So basically, i start quite high up on my roots when i'm doing um around the back of my head and underneath and then all you do go over it push the button, it's curling and then it beeps, while you kind of like wait for it. It'S kind of in this whole position and heating up around the barrel when the double beep goes. It means it's done cooking and you can just release. I still i love it. It still like shocks me every time. I kind of wish that i had filmed the first time i used this curler um, because i, when i was working and sort of in touch with via sassoon, i was like okay guys. You need to get this curler to me like as soon as possible, because i'm gon na need heaps of time to practice using it and then basically, i used it once i did like a couple of curls. Look how beautiful that is, and i was like this is really easy. My face the first time that i used the curler. I was just like wait. What like it's that easy to use? I just i just love it like. I know this is a sponsored video, but guys is that not the coolest thing you've ever seen, release and another beautiful curl, and there goes another perfect curl. This is so quick and easy. I cannot get over it um. I thought, while i'm doing my hair, i just kind of chat a bit about the curler, how i've been finding it and first of all, i'm gon na address the million dollar question that i know you're all wondering about like attaching some sort of mechanical device to Your hair is a little bit terrifying and when i first started researching mechanical hair curlers, there were quite a few youtube videos that came up of people using other curlers and other brands and their hair getting stuck, and i was like well that's a little bit terrifying. I don't really want my hair getting stuck into a hot tool, as i was first trying this product out and first curling my hair. Every time i put a piece of hair - and i was like, like i just like winced a little bit in anticipation, this very sassoon curler - actually uses this amazing, even heat ceramic technology, which basically means the barrel is really really smooth and your hair just kind of Glides over it hand on heart, i have not once look how smooth this comes out. It just kind of falls out pretty much. That was a really little baby curl with the hair that i'd forgotten about in the bag um but yeah. I have never not even once felt my hair slightly tug on this, so it does have a feature, will automatically turn off if your hair does get stuck in the mechanism, which is great, very reassuring, but literally the whole time i've been using this i haven't like. I said even felt a tug, a twinge anything. It hasn't even like slightly caught one hair, as i pulled it out. The people that watch my youtube channel aren't just like strangers on the internet. They'Re, like my friends, my girlfriends, my mom, my auntie and i'm not gon na recommend a product that i think could potentially burn off my mom's hair. No one wants that for their mum. I was reading on the box. It has a battery of 45 minutes um. I feel like it's done longer. For me i did a full head of curls the other day and then i was also like shooting some instagram reels, which you should definitely go check out. My instagram is at alan mckenzie um, so shooting some of those. Then i like kept it for the next day and did a few touch-ups and yeah it's just. The batteries lasted really well, it does take a while to charge so just make sure you do charge it properly. If you want to get a full head of curls, there goes another curl yeah, and i think this is the kind of product that, if you struggle with doing your hair, like i always have this really just. Does everything for you like it's kind of like foolproof, like if you suck at doing your hair, no worries, because it's the curler that's in charge, you just put your hair in here and it does the rest. So when it comes to doing these sort of like front sections of my hair, which kind of used to be like quite short, i used to have almost kind of like bangs. What i do is i kind of split these into slightly smaller sections and because they're slightly smaller, i just release the barrel or release the button a little bit sooner um. I just don't want to leave it on there for the full eight seconds when it's a thinner amount of hair and look how beautiful and bouncy that curl is for this front piece. My other tip is to kind of start your curl, like not quite as far up, not quite at the roots and press, the spinny spinny okay, so my hair is all curled and what i'm going to do now is leave it for around 10 minutes, just to Cool down and let the curls kind of really set, so it's a little bit lighter and i just did something really dumb. I recorded brushing out my hair, as you can see, it's completely transformed and looking so beautiful and bouncy um, but i forgot to turn my microphone on so i have some footage of me brushing out my hair and talking which i can cut to now. But basically i was just rambling on again about how much i love the product and i used to not be able to brush out my hair when i curled it because it would just fall out and with this curler i don't have to worry about that. It'S just really really amazing. Anyway, that is going to be the end of this video. Sorry about the weird lighting the sun started like setting directly in front of my camera. When i came back, please do make sure you guys give this video a thumbs up. If you enjoyed it um go leave me a comment. Give me your feedback on my hair. Thank you. So much for the support wouldn't be able to do cool things like this. Without you guys and yeah, i will see you in the next video bye. You
