I was asked by one of my subscribers to make the long hair bonnet without elastic and only with one layer of fabric.

I hope the video is helpful and easy to follow? I've made previous videos on how to make long hair bonnet so do check that out if you haven't.

Thanks for watching!

Hello: everyone i've been asked by one of my subscribers to make this long, braid um air bonnet without the elastic at the bottom and also with a single layer fabric. So, as you can see, i'm using a yellow satin fabric satin is best to protect your hair, and this shiny bit is going to be on the inside and that door part is going to be the outer part of your fabric. So remember, the dough part is the outer part, because you want the shiny bit inside so that it can protect your hair when you're wearing your hair bonnet and that's the outside of our fabric. I just made a mark, so you can see the difference. So i'm going to put our fabric together wrong side, i'm going to call it the wrong side, but the shiny bit facing each other first, because if we don't have a serger, especially we're trying to hide the raw edges. So i'm just going to show you how to hide the raw edges without a serger, so leave the two inch gap at the top, as we've done in our previous videos for the other air bonnet and then just sew across like so and that's. The first part. Remember, that's the outer part, so we're showing it looks like we're, sewing the wrong bit, but just follow what i'm doing now we're going to take our fabric turn it inside out iron it if you're making yours just because i'm i'm just doing. I didn't iron mine because i'm just trying to make this video as quick as possible, but iron, yours, so it's nice and flat and then what you're going to leave that gap we're still going to leave the gap that gap leave it open like so, and we're Going to sew across like so so as you can see, there's no raw edges on the inside and now we're just going to fold the edge of that gap. Fold roll it in one and two so roll it in twice. It'S called the rolled em. I think you just fold it in twice and then we're just going to stitch that down just to add the raw edges and there you go, i'm just going to stitch it across like that. So, as you can see the inside, you can't i've done all that now, all the there's, no raw edges you can see, and that will be the outer part of our air bonnet and we're nearly done really and what we're going to do is to gather the Bottom, you can leave the bottom like that or if you want it a bit smaller at the bottom, then just gather it randomly there's no measurements, nothing just randomly click it or should i say not gather pleat, just split it. As you can see, it's very random. There'S no measurements for this, just split it and there you go clip it in place and then sew across to the audience. I'M just going to show you before i saw what that would look like once you finish sewing as you can. You can see out. The bottom looks like, so that's what that's all good we've done that now, for the finishing part, we just find it the midpoint of our air bonnet and i've already done my strap. My strap is about 45, not no 45, 90 inches long. So i've used two 45 inches long straps to make 90 inches. You can always cut a 90 inch, strap straight away without joining it, but just find the midpoint of your strap and the air bonnet and then find the end of the air bonnet and the strap i've not ironed. My strap, because this is just for video purpose. Only and i was trying to be as quick as possible with this video so, but if you want to know more details, if you're just new to my channel and you've not come across the longer bonnet braid air bonnet, i've made previously, you should check that out On my channel, i already have videos on how to make long, braid air bonnet. This is just a single layer, one and without the elastic at the bottom. So this is. This was asked by one of my subscribers and i thought i'll just do a quick video and just to show them how to do it and it's very easy, very straightforward, um to make as well i'm just what i'm doing is splitting the main part of the Air bonnet plate it and then clip it to the strap. You can also gather it instead of plating it, but i prefer to just split it randomly until we fit the strap, as you can see, just going to sew across and i've done that if you watch my previous video, then you know what we're doing here. So just fold the end of your strap, please iron, everything when you're doing yours and you can even iron your straps fold it in and iron it down. So it makes it easier and then just pin it down to cover all the raw edges. Pin it all the way across take your time when you're doing this and just pay attention to what i'm doing. I hope this really makes sense and i hope, you're able to make yours. I just thought i'll: do a video, a quick video just to show you um. Let me know if this has been helpful.
