I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I have a new hairdo and this head is on flaky flaky flick. Like do you feel it all right, so this video I'm going to talk about my hair and if you are trying to guess what kind of hair I'm carrying this is actually micro looks yes, guys, I actually locked my hair, like this is permanently locked. This is micro locks and I've had this on for about five weeks and some days and I'm like okay, let me just come because I get this question when I go out or when I post pictures or videos on Instagram and people, ask me, oh, why did You decide to go natural, your hair is so beautiful. You have long hair. Why did you decide to go natural? I'M sorry! Why did you decide to lock your hair? Because it's it's a very big decision and it's a permanent decision unless you decide to unravel it later, which is a lot of work which I may not do. I would most likely not do so. I get a question a lot of people asking me why I decided to lock my hair and then I understand that. Okay, why don't I just shoot a video and just address it at once, so in this video, I'm going to tell you guys, five reasons why I decided to lock my hair, so let's get to it foreign, so the first reason why I said to lock my Hair is because of how convenient it is to just carry your hair like this, like I love the fact that I can just wake up in the morning and um. All I need to do is probably just like shake shake shake shake shake and I'm good to go. I don't start worried about styling and doing this and doing that is just like a really quick fix. I could just like pack it or do whatever I want to do with it and in less than in less than five minutes, I'm just ready to go. So that's one of the reasons why I like. Why is there to lock my hair convenient? So I have time to do other things. I just love the fact that it's not just time consuming at all, and so that's the first reason. Second reason why I decided to block my hair is because um I realized that I so I have a lot of. I have more responsibilities now and um, I'm beginning to have less and less time to spend on my hair care process. So if you've been watching my previous videos, you'll know that I spent a lot of time on my hair first of all the night before wash day I'll, do a prepo right. So I will detangle my hair pre-poo my hair and then wrap my hair up in a shower cap and then leave it, leave the purple on overnight and then the next day wash day and then wash my hair. After washing my hair, I will prepare my deep conditioner apply to my hair, then I'll steam, my hair. Then I will rinse off the deep conditioner after like an hour and then I will style my hair for the and that style most often lasts for just two weeks, and then I have to repeat the same process all over again. It'S time consuming it's time consuming, it is time consuming, it is energy consuming, and I would like this with doing. My life is changing. A lot of things are coming up now and I just uh had had to come to the conclusion that okay, I love my hair. I love taking care of my hair. You guys know I love my hair with all my heart, so it was going to be either one either of two decisions either I lock my hair. Oh I caught it yeah. It is that serious just either I lock it or I cut it, and I chose the ladder as well like all right. I chose the former. I was like it's better for me to just lock it, so I still have my hair, like it's still my hair. It'S still my natural hair, it's just locked right, so that's why I decided to just go ahead. Take that big decision guys deciding to lock your hair is a huge decision. It'S something that you need to actually like think. A lot I spent months. Thinking about is making doing researches asking love questions. I asked tons and tons of questions, people that already logged even the logicians. They love research inquiries, just name it before. I now decided to lock my hair so before you do anything permanent like this make sure you do your research, okay, so that's number two and then number three. The reason why it says lock my hair is um, so it is low maintenance. This is very similar to my first first point. It is honestly the whole point I just started to low maintenance. This hair is really really low maintenance. So, like I said earlier, I locked my hair about five weeks plus ago. I haven't even washed my hair since then, I'm not even supposed to um use oils Butters and all that on my hair and honestly, I don't even mind because hey since my time right, so I'm not supposed to use all that because you're supposed to leave your Hair as dry as possible, if I can say that, because that is only where the hair will look so if you apply oils and butters or leave-in conditioners or conditioners, those things have sleep and moisturizing Tendencies. So once you, if you apply all that they can actually unravel this, if you look very well, this is actually twisted. My hair is Twisted, so it's probably take my hair like a year or two years to have that lock. Look, I'm sure you guys understand what I mean where your hair looks like it's locked like locks right, so it take my hair like a year or two to um grow out of this twist and start looking locked. So, in order to ensure that my hair stays like this, I have to only use clarifying shampoo, that's all just clarifying Champion to wash my hair, no leave-in conditioner, no deep conditioner, no, no conditioner, no oils, no Butters, no, nothing! No! Nothing! Yeah! It'S that serious! So it's so low maintenance, like I haven't even washed my hair in five in five weeks. My hair is not even dirty. My hair is not even itchy or anything which is insane I'll, probably wash my hair when it close six weeks, because I think I'm supposed to wash it for the first time after six weeks. So once it's like six weeks, I'll just use a clarifying shampoo. So wash it and that's it like I'll literally cut my usual wash day routine from a day plus. So just like 30 minutes, that's insane to me. That'S like a win-win, so I love the fact that it's seriously lumaintenance and I'd have to do all that and I still look chic. So I mean why not right and then so that's the number three reason number. Four reason why I decided to lock my hair is this, so I chose this style. If you look, my um locks are tiny, no they're, not like extremely tiny, but they are tiny right. So I chose this for a reason. My hair is full. I have like 496 locks on my head right now. I said I started locking my hair. If you follow your Instagram, you say I made a post on this. I still look. We said the process, the location and, I said, locking my hair around 8 AM and we're on it till 3 A.M. The next morning we were both so exhausted after the entire process and where she was like girl. I really should have booked you for two days, because she knows how my hair is right, so she was saying that she should have booked me for two days, so that would just don't like maybe like eight to like 2 p.m. Go home rest and come back and finish up because we were so so tired anyways. My little twists are small and the reason why I chose this size is because I wanted my. I wanted to still be able to do the things I used to do with my hair, when it was locked, still be able to do them now they are locked. So I love to play around my hair. I love to style, it wear different, looks because people talk about. Oh one of my worries was like. Oh, I don't want to have the same. Look all the time, so I didn't want to. Because of that I didn't want to do bigger locks. I wanted to do smaller looks so that that way I can still style my hair. The way I used to so the way my hair is right. Now, if I decide that oh one of my go-to Styles, if you know me very well, my go-to Styles is my up to. I can still do my updo with this right. I can still do my updo with this and still look good. I also like to do some side days or side that I can do all that with my hair and because when when your hair is being locked, they lock it in grids, so grids are like like. If you open it anywhere, you can like style it anyway. You can just side middle Center or wherever, because of the grids the grids make it easy for you to like really style your hair. So I can even like go like this, so I'm like okay, I want to do something like this and then so so I can just do something like this. Maybe just clip this this way you know, like I just add. Oh, I can't even put a band on my hair and then just let it fall or just random things. I just like the fact that the way I used to style my hair before is the same way. I can still style my hair and if I want to even wear a wig, I can do the same thing. All I have to do is like maybe cornrow my locks and then wear a wig, and if I want to what else do I want to do with my hair? So let's say oh, I want to braid my hair. If I decide that, oh, I want to use an attachment to do long, braids wherever I can still do it all they have to do, is just cut it like this or whatever size I want, and then they just braid my hair, and they don't even know That I have locks under the hair, so that's the beauty of this size of looks so that was one of the reasons why I said to lock my hair like okay. If I'm going to lock my hair, I'm going to do this particular size. So that way, I can still style my hair and I don't feel like I'm missing out on one of the things I loved most about being natural, which is styling my hair, so that that made it a win-win situation for me yeah. So that's the fourth reason and then the fifth and final reason why I said to lock my hair is because duh it is classy. It is classy like I like the fact that um, no matter how busy I am or no matter what my life looks like. No matter what I'm doing, no matter the responsibilities, I have like no matter how, basically, no matter how busy I am. I can still look presentable because my hair is locked. So all I have to do is even my waking up in the morning. I can just take off my satin Bonnet and I'm literally good to go so if my, if my life is fast paced, because my life is literally fast paced right now, if my life, my life, is a fast pace. I can just like up and go and I still look good. I really really hate it. I really really hate it. When I look raggedy because of my hair, you know maybe, like you can't, you don't have time to do your hair and then you have to like pack your hair, one graggedy style and you're. Looking very unkempt. I hate that so, instead of being that way, I don't lock my hair so that, even if you wake me up in the middle of the night, I still look like a human being, even if I have to like up and Jet out to wherever. I still look good. I can literally just shake my head and I'm good to go. So I, like the only reasons I decided to go natural because it is Chic, it looks really Chic. It makes me look presentable any day anytime and yeah. So these are. These are the things I I considered so low maintenance. I don't have to worry about the entire wash day routine and all those all these things are unlisted. These are things I really really. I have a lot of other reasons. There'S some other reasons. I had why that made me make decisions to go to lock my hair, but I'll say that this is like the major reason, most important reasons for me and the very important to me, based on my life and my current situation. So your own reason, my um, my personal to you, based on what you may have a different reason why you want to lock your hair. It might be your personal reason, what's good on your life or what you decide to do or how you feel or whatever. So this is my own reason. These are my own reasons. These are why I decided to go natural. You may have your own reasons. Everybody'S life is different, so I wanted to just share this. Maybe it might help someone make the decision it might make you decide to go natural, it might make you decide, sorry, it might make you decide. Why do I keep saying natural it might make you decide to lock your hair? If I make you decide to not lock your hair, the choice is absolutely yours, but this is the reason why I went natural. Oh my God, my God. This is the reason why I locked my hair and I'm loving it guys. I'M really really loving it. I don't see myself changing this decision anytime soon. Also, this is a lot of financial commitment. So, if you're going to lock your hair and when you think about the money you're going to spend, you have to be sure that this is. This is what I want to do, because I'm not ready to waste this money. I I so I'm not going to talk about how much I spent but trust me. I spent a lot of money. My husband was like what, like you, want to spend all this money on your hair. You know men will not understand you, don't look at it as it's just your hair, especially since I haven't even spent a dime on my hair. Since I came to Canada, I have just been a DIY person playing and loving and experiencing experimenting with my hair so having to cough out this amount of money to lock my hair. It'S a big deal. My husband was totally against it. I actually had to like convince him. I almost had to like create a slideshow and PowerPoint. Now I'm exaggerating but like I really had to like, explain and convince him that this is the reason why and then he saw reasons and then he understood and then now that I've been locked for like five weeks plus he now sees what I'm talking about. He understands it and he appreciates it. So that's it. So if you have any more questions for me guys, you can drop me your comments on the comment comment section. I will read your comments and I will respond or you could drop your comment on my Instagram. I am active either ways so just let me know what your questions are and if you need more content on my log Journey, please go ahead and let me know - and I will shoot more videos on my lock Journey. So, yes, that's the reason why I locked my hair if your locks, if you please drop your comment, let me know why you went love, why you decide to lock your hair, let's trades, our stories. I would really love to hear from you. Thank you guys for watching if you're new, don't forget to like comment subscribe, even if you're, not new, don't forget to like this video, don't forget to comment, don't forget to share. Thank you so much guys, and I will see you in the next video

Anthonia Nosagie-Nehikhare: Lovely video....the question I have is this...aside the initial financial commitment, what's the outlook on subsequent relocking. I was once on locs and had to relock every 3months or whenever I had the time until i unlocked the hair but that was for the common sized dreads/locs...just as u mentioned...im at a cross road now btw going on low cut or locs but the cost of locs and the fact that I may need to expose my natural hair to some chemicals ,if I go on low cut ,has kept me in a limbo....im.really confused . Anyway permit my ranting..so whats the financial commitment after the initial lock. Thanks
