Viral Tiktok Heatless Hair Curler

I finally got my hands on this viral TikTok heatless hair curler because it's always sold out. I decided to test this method on damp and dry hair to see which side of my head will look better. The process to wrap the hair around was so easy and the rope was extremely comfortable on my head throughout the day. The results were exciting. If you've tried this heatless hair curling method, what was your result?

Love, Milabu

Today, we're going to test out the viral TikTok heatless curling ribbon. This one right here, I'm so excited about, because I did test out and we reviewed the original method using the bathrobe belt, using it overnight and seeing how the hair turns out.. But I'm really excited about this, because this has more of a consistent shape and it has like a silky satiny slip on the outside., So I'm really excited. This. I think this is just called The Curling Ribbon or the Heatless Curler something.. I found it online. This one is their limited edition, retailing for $ 48., So you get two scrunchies. They're, not like great quality or anything., And then this right here is the sausage. ( laughing ) Just kidding.. This right here is the actual curler. You also get a clip. And they do have other options. Other colors that are originally $ 42 and they're always sold out, but I did get it through pre-order.. So hopefully you can get yours as well., But this right here feels really nice.. It just feels like a nice satin And then the inside is nice and round., It's more of like a nice cylinder shape, and it has a little bit of a plush.. So I did a little bit of research of how people recommend to use this. On their own Instagram page, the girls. They do it on damp hair. And then I guess they sleep overnight, and then they get the results. And then other people that have tested this out. Before said, they tried it both ways on dry and damp hair and they prefer it on dry hair.. Just leave it during the day, whatever you're doing., But I figured let's do half and half. Half of the head. Let'S do damp half of the head. Let'S do dry and see the results that we get.. Hopefully we get something really beautiful, but I'm excited to test this out. So left side. Let'S do damp. Right side. Let'S do dry., Let's go for it., I'm just taking the right side away from my face. And we're gon na get this side damp.. I'M just using this Segbeauty., It's kinda like a continuous spray spray, bottle. Super fine mist which is really awesome. And I'm not gon na soak. My hair. Just get it nice and damp., Because when I did it with the belt, I didn't do it on soaking wet hair.. It was more damp, like probably maybe 60 70 % dry., I'm just gon na brush it through.. Oh yeah that looks good. It's nice and damp. I'll. Let that down., Let's brush this through. And I did bring all the hair to the front.. So now just make sure it's somewhat even. Just place it on my head. And I'm just gon na use their clip.. Let'S see if this is big enough. Ehh kind of., But then I'm also going to take this side and get this out of the way using their scrunchie., So how she did it on their Instagram page. She basically took a section wrapped it around and then added another section to that section. Kind of like a rope twist in a way, but you're not going opposite directions.. So taking this first section., Just wan na make sure it's nice and brushed out. Wrap it. Hold it there.. Add this next section. Wrap it., I'm doing it kind of tighter.. Take it next section. And I'm always adding hair to that section, and there is a fly. A massive fly flying around me.: Did you see that Yeah. Taking a lot of this hair and making sure it's nice and even. Wrap it. Next section. Make sure to grab it from the back also. And the section is just gon na get bigger and thicker. So I'm trying to hold it as nice and tight as I can. I already like this better than the belt just because it has a little bit more of a- Substance. I feel like it has more hold. [, Andrey ] And structure. And structure yeah.. Now I'm just wrapping it around.. Okay, Then, I'm gon na take the little scrunchie and tie my hair off. And if you're wondering, if you can do long hair on this, the girl in the Instagram under the hair curler. She had really long hair and it fit all the way up. Just because she kept putting it closer and closer together., So that way there wasn't as much of the rope seen. The hair was mostly all on the rope or the tube.. What would you call this? The curler.? That'S what we're gon na call it. Just take this out. Brush this through one more time. And I'm going to do the exact same step.. I'M just gon na take another extra hair elastic because the hair just kinda keeps unrolling., I'm just gon na roll it as much as I can and then take another clear elastic and tie both of these towards the back of my head.. That'S nice and comfortable. And we'll see what we look like., We'll check. Probably in three four hours. Do some housework probably put on a little bit of makeup.. Let'S do this., I'm excited.. It'S almost been six hours.. I decided to wait a little bit longer, just because I was doing a bunch of stuff around the house and hopefully we get better results: ( laughing ) with two extra hours., I'm just gon na take out that first scrunchie. [ Andrey ], Which side do we Wan na do first Ooo. [ Andrey ]: Let's do their side., Let's do at the same time., No .... Let'S do the way they prescribed and then- So damp, [ Andrey ] Yeah.. Let'S see the brand's recommendation. ( Milana, grunting ) And they do this. ( laughing ). It'S like stuck., Oh wow., Whoa, (, laughing ) [ Andrey ]. Is that good It looks pretty good.. Are you seeing that [ Andrey ] Yeah. Wow.? Let'S see this side, the dry side. [ Andrey ]. This is what the YouTubers and Instagramers- And the TikTokers said. TikTokers okay. Yes. Ooh. Okay. Wow. Huge difference.. Oh I'm so happy! I did it this way. [, Andrey ]. The damp side is definitely more defined.. Oh yeah look at that. And it's way more bouncy versus this side. It'S really soft. And there's like your hair, is a little bit longer on this side. Also. [ Andrey ] Yeah.. I am impressed with this side. Like a lot., It's very even.. I actually really like that method of the way they recommended to do a kind of like a rope twist in a way, but just going all in the same direction, because I mean look at that definition. And just doing the tiny bit amount of getting your hair. Nice and damp. - And I honestly really like this just because I already had fresh hair and it was really dry., And then I just used my little mister with water., Nothing else in here.. You could also do like a leave-in, conditioner and something else but wow. Wow. I am impressed with this., Oh my goodness., And it's so even., Obviously there's not as much wave towards the very back, but this is beautiful., I'm just tryin' to take it out a little bit just so we can see. My goodness. Yeah. You can see a huge difference. Wow., This one's actually really pretty also. This one's more like a really nice-. It'S kinda wavy. Bend, wavy. [ Andrey ], The other one actually gave you curls Soft. Yeah this one's like beautiful little ringlets. [, Andrey ]. I mean I personally, like the other one better., This one Yeah., Why [ Andrey ], It's just a more dramatic effect.. I think both sides are actually really pretty., But I'm like actually really impressed with both sides.. At least you get something.. But this way you can see what you can actually get damp versus dry and clean hair. Wow., Okay, I love how even it is. Like from top to bottom on both sides.. Even this little hair., Usually something always happens really weird and wonky. With this piece of section right here., But it's quite pretty. - Should I brush it out with a comb [ Andrey ] Yeah, let's see what it looks like, I didn't think the dry side was gon na look as good.. It'S actually really pretty.. I love how long the waves look. And the hair still looks really voluminized and shiny and bouncy. [ Andrey ]. It really depends on what you wan na get out of it. Exactly.. Do you want more of a wave, or do you want more of a curl Like a tighter curl.? It also depends how damp your hair is.. If you have really thick hair, you might need to sleep with it overnight and maybe even dry it a little bit. Extra. So you're, like I said, 65 to 75 %, dry and yeah, so I think that was that's my favorite method, making sure your roots are not soaking. Wet. More, like your hair, the length of your hair is a little bit damp.. That way. That'S where you get most of that curl or a wave just because when I go straight from the shower, I let it kind of air dry, maybe like 10 20 minutes, and then I do something like this. Usually my roots they're, not as shiny the hair's, not as bouncy. It's looking a little bit more frizzy., So I would recommend to do as much air drying or even just drying your hair completely and then do it like. I did dampen it. A little bit. Use a little mister with water or a leave-in conditioner mixed in with water. If that's what you wan na do. But yeah, this is a really beautiful. Result. Again depends all what you're looking for. But the consistency to me. This is one of the better ones. I found something like this for a heatless curling method, because it's comfortable., It doesn't hurt. Very easy to do.. I feel like anybody can do this. And yeah, I'm actually very impressed.. [ Andrey ] Doesn't pull your hair right. Exactly. Does not pull your hair. And if anything I would just buy my own silk scrunchies. If I were to sleep with this just because these ones right here they have like that metallic feeling.'cause. They have glitter or metallic, whatever you wan na, say on here.. So it's not as soft on the hair., So I would just get silk scrunchies and yeah. I'M actually really really impressed with this.. I am gon na try to give you guys an update tonight and see what the hair looks like, how much has fallen out and what does it look like pretty much. See you guys in a little bit.. How does the hair look [ Andrey ]? It still looks wavy. Yeah, [ Andrey ], The other side's a lot more curlier though. Yep that one. It's more defined., Very defined, still yeah.. All right, you guys I'll leave you here., Please let me know your results, how you use this kind of method.? Do you still use a bathrobe belt rope? Do you use a towel? Do you use? I heard people saying they use like cotton, t-shirts and other things, But this right here is one of the better methods where the hair is very consistent.. It'S very beautiful. It'S still shiny and bouncy, and I just overall it's beautiful either way.. I mean look at that. Alright I'll see you guys in the next video very soon., Bye, ( Blows kiss )

Bekah M: I feel like the "dry" side gives the type of more relaxed curls/waves that are really trendy right now. That being said I would be more tempted to do the damp method since (for most people) gravity will make their curls deflate throughout the day. Guess it depends how long you're going out for/how soon your event is from when you're getting ready!

Jessica Mae Garcia: $48 is INSANE for some foam wrapped in fabric and two scrunchies. It looks good though but idk how on earth they can justify that price

anon: The idea that people are paying $48 is hilarious. I got mine on amazon for $10... can't wait to see how it turns out

Claudia Catalan: I appreciate that you tested this out. It's hard for me to justify spending $48 for the foam curler. I bought men's tube socks and scrunchies at the Dollar Tree. I join the socks together with a scrunchie so they are at the top of my head. Then I wind my hair around the socks and fasten with scrunchie on each side. Works great. Costs $2 to $3, depending on how many scrunchies you use.

Lynette LaRoche: $48???? That’s nuts! Probably worth $5-$10!

Shelby Chaney: If ya'll have a Miss A store (the dollar beauty store- HIGHLY RECCOMEND) near you, they have a slimmer version of the curler thing she uses for $1. They're flimsy on their own but I bout 3 and braided them together and it's about 1" around. I've used a robe tie for months since I've seen this and having the bendable part in the middle makes it so much easier!

Mew: This might be the first heatless curling method I might actually be able to trust! My gripe with these methods is that is usually just like “oop, braid it and let’s hope it turns out!” But this looks way more controllable !

Courtney Goldsmith: Thank you for having this great Wet vrs Dry Hair Tutorial. I needed this thank you! You just made my life soo much simpler with your helpful video. I have the bendy rods now trying them out for the fist time and I sooo badly wish I had this exact one you have so I can try it out

Amanda Townzen: My favorite heat less method you’ve done!! Both sides look so pretty

Nancy Holmquist: Just order one! Thank you for all your informative videos, and they say you can't teach old dogs new tricks... HA! This old gal is 67 and you have taught me a lot.

inspiritgolden: I also purchased this and I'm really happy with the results. I like that it's easy and none damaging to my hair.

Melanie White: I would absolutely love to see you try 2 as well!! I clip my hair up daily as it is down to my butt and just takes sooooo long to make curls and rollers are not an option as I would never be able to sleep. I have thick hair and lots of it for a 50 yr old woman. Please test out 2 so I can see how beautiful that will be. Plus I need to know how to do that with 2..Thank you for all the testing you do. You have been a huge help to me!!♡♡

Nad’s Gono 💧 and Pipe Burns 💨: Milana! Your reviews are THE BEST on YouTube! Along with Vivian Tries - I only trust you two ladies when it comes to my purchasing decisions. YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

LcyCakes: I was waiting to see you do this review. I bought it a few months back and LOVE it!!

The PopUpPoet: I love the heatless option. I feel like I curl my hair with heat for one day and my hair gets pissed with me for an entire month afterwards.

Jessica Schueth: i will be finally going back to the office next week and was looking for easy over night heatless techniques for easy mornings. after watching this again, i already have been doing a twist method after i shower at night so i dont wake up with crazy hair. if you do this same twist method without the "ribbon" you get the same affect without having to sleep with a thing on your head. and i recommend some sort of zig zag part so it doesn't look as parted when you take it out in the morning. hope this helps someone!

Vicky Lashenko: Love that you’re compared with dry and misted hair! So so helpful! I got mine from amazon and it’s a bit more thicker and more stiff than yours - I wonder if the results will be different. Thank you so much for this video!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Marla Baldwin: Wow I am amazed at how pretty the curls turned out.

Kathryn Coury: Lovely! I use this similar dry method with something called the octocurl in satin and get gorgeous results! Love the look on you, too!

Melanie Lee: I just looked it up on Amazon and got it for 8$ but I also got silky hair scrunchies for 5$ plus alligator clips (about 10 in a package for 7$. The reason I have gotten all of these is that I just got hair extensions two days ago! I've been texting my hairstylist who is also a good friend, and she recommended watching this video!

Debbie Sue: I'm glad you decided to do your hair both damp and dry. Both turned out nice! :)

Dina Leard: I love how you bob your head to make the curls bounce! So cute! I wish I had a street like that to walk! Beautiful!

Colleen Marie: Gotta say I did love your short hair style vids bc a stylist chopped the back of my hair soooo short that it’ll take me 6months or more to get shoulder length hair like I had before ❣️

Katy Beth: With the dressing gown tie, I let my hair get like 70-80% dry (otherwise it’ll never dry) and sleep on it, and it still is almost all fallen out by the end of the day... can’t imagine the dry method is even remotely useful for a full day wear...

Jolene Lutyck: Both methods make pretty curls. Love it!

Kirsten Woodruff: I do this with a long shear scarf & then I can wrap it all the way around my head & tie it- turns out beautiful each time & is like sleeping on a pillow. I get the best results with my hair about 90% dry

TiggyStardust: Wow!!! your hair looks amazing. Personally I love the dry side better, reminds me of old Hollywood, like Veronica Lake hair. But to be honest $48 dollars for this rope is madness. I'mma use belt from my bathrobe ;)

Sadie Peterson: I want to try that! I bet you could get more curl with tight smaller sections as well too. I love that dry idea just sleep with it cause I have long hair. And I don’t love heat on it.

Michelle Ginsburg: So excited to see a video on this. I just bought one from Walmart for $10!

Terese Stewart: Both sides are beauteous just different looks. Some mouse may help curls last too ! Great idea to avoid heat damage on hair while growing it out. Excellent !

Mariangela Scioli: I used two soft socks overnight. The result was great, the next day I brushed my hair, added hair spray and I was ready in a couple of minute.

Momma D And Little Lu: If I had the extra $50 I’d buy this for my daughter! She’s 10 and wants curly hair like mine. We do braids currently but it takes forever since she has long hair.

Elisa B: Your hair always looks so smooth and frizz-free after curling. Can you recommend a product to help with frizz? I thought I did an ok job with the ribbon curler I bought but there is definitely a lot of frizz and not nice, smooth curls. Womp womp.

Manda: Omg just last week I was looking at buying this! Wanted to wait for a good review first. Thanks

Roxanne Gill: I wouldn't pay that much for it! Geez, I'll stick to my dressing gown belt curls thank you, does the same job :'D

Head Games Beauty: You and you’re hubby are too cool! God bless you and keep up the creative content!!

Dené Sinclair: I am.shook at how good the dry side looks. I have waist length hair and am thinking about how i can make my own!

jie luo: This product is very easy to use, it is exactly the same as mine, and I have it too.

Pamela Averrett: This turned out beautiful. I was going to cut my hair, now I want to try this ❤️

Aracely See: You should try curling your hair around it the way Shonagh Scott does in her heatless curls tutorial! It gets more curls on the back.

Sarina Donnelly: I need this!!! Thank you for doing this video

jnorth9702: Bath robe tie works just as well and is “free”.

Anna Swanson: The results are amazing!

Randomly Jessie: You can use a curl setting solution that you mix into the water for lasting curls for multiple days

Karolina Kay: Gorgeous results! Is it comfortable enough to sleep on tho?

Lotus Blossom Skies: wow looks amazing esp for heatless!

Mills' Skits: I ended up making a set for myself with an old genuine silk pillowcase. I cut a piece of the pillowcase to measure 4.5" (you can adjust this) x 36" before sewing it into a tube (close one end prior to stuffing, and the other after stuffing), and sewed a couple matching scrunchies. (Scrunchie patterns are easy to find.) One pillowcase had enough fabric for the whole thing. Just wanted to help anyone who sews and might like a set without having to spend a penny.

Tricia Miranda: I just use my bath robe tie and it works the same way. And gives you nice curls as well

Cindy Tran: This is on SHEIN for $4.50 & $5 (depending on the color/ print you want)

La Gatita: I love the bouncy side I'd probably buy a cheap version tho. I love your hair color and it looks healthy.

Alexandra Facio: I love how each side turned out. That's awesome!

Tanja Bastigkeit: So easy to use! I like it.

curly mathgurly: one side curly (dampened) and one side beachy waves (dry)---both look good!

Mary Miller: I made my own with Terry cloth towel. It only cost a couple dollars and it took me less than an hour. I would never pay $48.

Christine Castellana: I adore you! Thanks so much for all of your videos!

Carly Smith: You can get them on Amazon for like 11 bucks, exact same thing, also I've seen lots of ppl use a scarf or even a robe tie to do the same thing.

Michaela Riecken: I've seen people do two. To more curl in the back. I would love to see you attempt that as well!!

D Win: 48$? wow! I swirl my (dryed) hair around my fingers and then clip it with bobbypins on my head. I use a hairdryer for a few seconds to heat my hair. While I do my morning-routine or my makeup my hair cools down (the bobbypins still in the hair). Then I take off the pins and my hair is curled (normaly I don't have curled hair). Cheap, fast and stays the whole day/night. It takes a few seconds to swirl the the hair, a few seconds to heat up the hair and it takes a few minutes to cool down the hair. So I can have curls in less then 10 minutes.

Dana Hein: Love the damp side curls!

Kristins Life: I ordered one from aliexpress and it does the same thing i love this thing!

KendallJordanQuick: I’ve never bought something so fast in my life

Cindy: I saw your hair curl ad on youtube. I have a pixie hair cut right now but when I regrow my hair I'll buy them ❤️

Rebecca Perez: The curling ribbon looks like the same material and size as Door Draft Stoppers

Jordan Olsen: Love all your review videos! You are my fav you tuber!

Tamara Morton: I checked online and those people are making a killing at $48 per item! I can sew and could probably make one for, five dollars at the most? Maybe seven or eight, not counting gas to go to the fabric store. Ha ha. Seriously, though. I’ll probably do it. I have the one called “Flower Curl” that was only made in England. I like it but the curls are a little too tight for me. I think the bathrobe tie would be too tight too, which is why I haven’t tried it. I really like these heatless methods because my hair is growing out and I’m trying to keep it fairly healthy.

D Heredia: I really like both sides. Different occasions. Might even work on my very tapered hair.

Andiitzy Sternenlicht.: This look so good, not the price but I need to try it.

Theblondedeath: I bought the knock off version on Amazon for 9$, it’s bomb

Ashlynn Barber: I need more short hair stuff! Love your tests, but I would love to hear your opinions if the products would work for chin to shoulder length hair!

vitaliyab: Wow!! Looks so good!!!!! Amazing!

Elena Martínez: I know this works but 48 dollars for the product when you know a belt works just fine... lol

zamieca manila: does it stay long? edit : okay 5hrs later it still is pretty wavy.

Lizy Cardenas: I bought this on romwe the price is $3.50 but using my points it came out to $3.09. Romwe is the same company as Shein but alot cheaper, same exact products.

Lisa redford: You can get these on ebay in a few different colors for £10 and under they also come with a hair clip and two hair scrunchies xx

Angela McDonald: I've seen Shonagh Scott wrap using more of a French braid technique, that way it gets the hair in the back. Could help?

Shelley2655: That look's soooo pretty ! I will just keep using foam rollers bcoz 48 bux is a expensive for my limited income

Aishwarya: I am so happy I watched this!!

Elena Bašić: I like the dry side a lot better on you. On myself as well..my hair is wavy to curly and even when I did it on a dry hair it almost got too curly for me (next time I think I'll leave it on for a shorter time maybe).. i did it with bathrobe though.....why did I do it if I already have wavy hair? It's kinda more tidy if that makes sense. Naturally wavy and curly hair usually comes in uneven patterns.

Mary U: I bought a $10 one and it’s a pain in butt to use. Yours looks “floppy” and mine has a wire in it that might be making it too stiff to work with. Might try taking the wire out

Fay Coleman: You could probably place this on the top of your head too and wrap it like the headband curls or halo curl method and get a similar result without the flat roots.

Tinysaurus: Thank you for this! I just ordered one! Oh you remind me of Beverley Mitchell. Lucy from Seventh Heaven :) Always thought she was pretty too :)

Diane Harrison: Bought this ,,coming soon im praying it works. I got the cheap one £5 x

Dream Girl: Fabulous demo! Thanx!

Sarah Rose: Ima just say that thing cost like $2 to make and they’re selling it for $50z they’re geniuses.

askquestionsplz: saw this video first, ordered A TWO pack on amazon for 16 dollars since I couldn't find it as just a 1 pack at that price - just tried twisting it - pray for me

Cassie Stephenson: I found one on Inne cosmetics for like 25 after taxes and all but the one I got has a thin metal rod in it that's suppose to help it keep form which was cool but then I finally took it out, it was super easy just to undo the end and pull it out, but it does make my hair curly and I am so excited to do it this way instead of using the iron!! Thank you for doing this product it helped me use it the right way!!

Pretty Kitty: They have tons of these on Amazon now for only 8$.

3llemc: The thing that gets me about this is that people have been doing it for years with bath robe belts and socks and get literally the same effect. Don't buy something new. Upcycle.

Nancy Romero: I’m loving the dry side ❤️

Material Girl: I know if it’s worth that much lol I like it though. The only thing I’m not crazy about it the top of the head. I love big hair and the hair toward the top is very important when having big hair lol

Angela Biotrucco: Amazing result

Judy Baker: Walmart sells a version of this for less than $10

Dragana: I feel ripped off. I paid like 55-60$ on Etsy. Just found out amazon now has it for 9-14$ lol next time a new invention comes out, it will be better to wait

Feriel Hamdane: Do not worth the price ! In addition, you can find it on Aliexpress for 3-5$. Thanks for the review :) !

Angelee Andal: I do this using my robe tie!

AshleyLynn918: Wow. Both sides look beautiful!! Love!

K Hill: Beautiful hair!

Elizabeth j: I made one of these out of leftover silk from a costume project and poly fill. Giving it a test run tonight!

Sharon h: I sleep in pin curls. I love curls!

Berta Diaz: You can use satin pillowcases to make it and foam
