Cutting Off My Hair & Embracing The Gray!!! Small Shein Haul

Here it is, we cut it off and let me tell you first of all I feel so free. So the cut is, you know up like this: a little shorter here, a little longer here and um. If, if you're friends with me on Facebook, you've already seen it but um, I - and I think I told you guys - I'm I'm not coloring my hair anymore. So when I went to the salon today and she cut all this hair off um, a lot of blonde fell off and of course I still have a lot of blonde lift. But as you can see, all this right here is New Growth and you can see the gray more now. Do you see, and especially in the back, you can see the gray, and I just need you to know how excited I am for all this gray to come in, to where I have a full head of gray hair, and so when she was cutting and all This yellow blonde was coming off. I was thrilled because look at here look at the you can see. You can see the gray, and I knew I had a lot of gray coming in, and I was like now is the time now is the time to stop. Coloring, your hair, so I wasn't gon na do that for myself until I turned 50 and at 50 I was going to do this same thing and I was going to cut my hair off and then let it go, but I decided it to do it a Year and two months early September yeah, I decided to do it 14 months earlier, so here we are with my new little sassy haircut, so fast Apple um. If you've never cut your hair up before I highly suggest doing it at least once it feels so good. Now I've had short hair before um. I don't know that you guys have ever seen it this short um. The last time I had it. This short was before I started YouTube. There'S a lot of product in it see. Look at the see. That'S my natural hair, mixed with gray. This is all the yellow we're waiting for it to go out, but you can see all this up here is white, so anyway um. What was I saying? Oh, I've kept my hair off even shorter than this before, but it was way before I started YouTube, so um not new for me but new for you, guys, um and I'm just thrilled, and I just I wanted to show you before I went outside and got All sweaty, so you can do like I can put, I can put more curl in it. I can wear it straight. I can tuck it behind my ears. I can just wear it all out. I can pin it back with a little twist up kind of thing. Like that, if I wanted to uh just so many you know different things, you can still pull it back like this. If you want to so many different ways, I probably wouldn't do that, but you could. I still have enough hair. I could do a top knot with some big fat cute earrings, but anyway um the whole point in me: cutting all my hair off um was to start getting rid of it's when you cut your hair off, it's really hard to keep your hands out of it. Um but the whole point in cutting it off was um to start embracing the gray. So that's what I'm doing, I'm embracing the gray. I'M so excited okay enough about that. Let'S put our glasses on because I got a few things from Shane and I know I wasn't going to order from them again, but I did so here we are I'm washing my sheets, oh chips, how much we got right there. Let me let me show you these cutie cutie from Shane, first of all, not so cutie patootie, but it's a yoga band so like when you're on the ground and you like, have a foot pose you. Can I'm gon na try to balance you have a foot pose? You can do like this to help stretch, can you see cut the bottom of your foot to help stretch right? So there's that and there's a lot of different. You know things you can do with that and I got two of the yoga blocks too. Okay, let's see hold please okay, so I got this dime of a skirt. It'S so cute, it's just striped, long skirt and on the bottom, it's curved and it's a high low. So it's a little bit higher in the front than it is in the back. I tried it on and Shane and I both fell in love with it. It'S so freaking cute and it's just stretchy and it's a good quality. It'S like a it's like a a thick cotton. So that's cute, you can dress it up. A million different ways found this guy right here, I'm not sure quite what I'm gon na do with this. Yet hi blue jeans and a cardigan be super cute and a scarf that'd be super cute to take top, also good quality. You know with Sheen, you never know. You'Re gon na, like it's gon na, be a hit and miss, and then here is a little black and white. Striped dress um, but it's kind of short, so I'll wear it with leggings and uh leggings and cardigan, or just you know, while it's still hot, I can just throw it on with flip flops. If I'm running to the store or something there's that um. That'S all. I got from Shane, no, it's not! Then I got this little cutie patootie for New York. I might take it to New York. I might not, but it's just a little backpack um and it was so cute also pretty sturdy and thick. So it's red um gold, zipper red detail and it's just black. It'S a little fuzz ball here and a little popsicle zipper detail, cutie patootie anyway, I thought so we're going to New York in four weeks, and so I was like I'm gon na have that for New York. If I don't carry my brown suede one, I just thought this one was fun, so I got it um. I found these little boxes of Kleenex at the dollar spot at Walmart. How cute is that, does your Walmart have a dollar spot mine does now it's had it for a while now, but these are so cute love those and then these bookmarks I found at the Dollar Tree um, because I'm actually reading through books. I finished that one book and then um, I started another book and I'm halfway through it. So um, that's awesome. So I got these bookmarks at the Dollar. Tree came in a whole pack, Dr Seuss, which is totally fun and there's a whole bunch of them. One. Two three four: five: six seven and uh, I'm already using one so who's that um found a couple of these little candles at the Dollar Tree smells like soap like laundry and um. I think that's it for now. I think that's it got my hair's short. Let'S go for a run, let's go for a run. Hold on, y'all might be sweating, so I got my earbud in so I hope you can hear me um two miles in I told Shane. I ran out the front door and I said um, I'm gon na. Do my workout, I'm gon na do four miles um, so I'm gon na run up to the Aldi and look at the progress and then run home. So I think I told y'all before that. Aldi was one mile from my house, but it's actually two. So I'm gon na turn around, so you can see the progress. First of all, that's not that's not Aldi! Those are storefronts. I don't know what stores they're putting in there, but that right there that's our Aldi there. She is, and you can see, that they're putting um they're putting the brick on they got the signature slanted roof. Well, bye am thrilled. So I don't know if I'm supposed to be over here, I'm gon na finish walking down to the light down there and that'll put me at exactly two miles and um. Then we're gon na turn around and go home, and that will make four miles and then I want to do um. I bought some eight pound weights, so I want to do a some arm exercises and a few squats with my weight. So we're going to finish this four miles and do a little bit of Weight, Workout and then we'll take a shower, um and finish the laundry. So it's been a great Saturday. I just love it. Okay, let's go finish: hey, hey um! I'M in bed I'm gon na wrap this up. Um didn't really do a whole lot. This evening we went and grabbed um a beef and cheddar from Arby's. It was so good. I haven't had Arby's in Forever. Um shared some french fries washed. My sheets put them back on the bed and chips, you know that's his spot um and I'm I'm going to bed. I think it's almost 10 o'clock on Saturday. Welcome to my exciting life anyhow. Didn'T do a whole lot. I'M pooped and I'm gon na sleep in in the morning, and maybe we'll Vlog tomorrow. I don't know yet, but we'll see thanks for running with me today. I love you guys. The lord loves you more and uh. It feels really good to have this hair off. My neck just saying:

When my alopecia got so much worse after having a lung biopsy showing I have sarcoidosis, stones removed from my pancreas (no gallbladder), hysterectomy from cancer, then the 2 places of basal cell carcinoma removed from my scalp, my hair had started falling out really bad. It was so thin you could see my scalp! I normally have dark brown hair but I colored it blonde for years so my scalp wouldn't show so bad. My sister & I did those beauty pics you could sign up for years ago & I was so ashamed at how bad my hair looked. Well, after going thru so much stuff (and I thank God for getting me thru it all), I decided I'd had enough. I had bought a couple of wigs a few years ago but had trouble feeling like myself. So in 2019 after the cancer surgery on my scalp had healed fairly well, I had my son to buzz my head, giving me sort of a GI cut!! My scalp cancer areas are large & my surgeon had told me he had to go deep & remove hair follicles, etc, so I would never have hair in those 2 lg areas again. So, my son, who cuts his own hair, gave me the cutest cut! Only thing is when I wear hoop earrings I feel I look like Mr. Clean! I have some beautiful wigs now & wear them some except when it's really hot. I sweat like crazy!I mostly just go to doctor appts anymore since the severe, progressive fibro pain has gotten so bad in my entire body. Keeps me from doing much of anything I want or feel I need to do. And like I tell you all the time, I live vicariously thru you even tho I'm 64! I used to jog, do weights, play basketball with my son, go on family hikes, etc. Now it's all I can do to get out the kitchen door to the car! So, I live life thru you & by the Grace of God. I understand all about your breathing issues since the sarcoidosis is between my lungs...I have a nebulizer & inhalers. After that surgery, my panic attacks started. I'd be sitting at work doing medical transcription & all of a sudden I felt I couldn't breathe! I'd have to get up & almost run outside to get some fresh air until I could calm down. Its hard having your throat cut open & know there's something in your body that shouldn't be there. You are such a blessing to me & I love watching your videos! When I see a notification from you, I immediately click on your vlog. Just wanted you to know. Hugs and blessings from VA!

I decided to go gray and I have not looked back! My hair was waist length and then I got Covid. Three months later A LOT of my hair fell out, so I cut it to between chin and shoulder length. My hair has grown back in and I’m back to normal. This is a great cut for you!

So I understand how freeing it is on so many levels. I kept it short for many years & wanted to try a pixie cut but my daughter was getting married so I thought I would grow it out for that. Then my other daughter married the following year...then my son the following year...then COVID hit. I have not had a trim for 3 years! So my hair is quite long. I'm not sure if I still want a pixie or even short hair @ this point, but I do want to cut off quite a bit. My hair is the one thing left about my body that I still have control of since Im chronically ill. That Aldi is really coming along nicely. Im so jealous! I miss shopping @ Aldi. I wish they would build some here in Vegas. So can you tell me where they are building that Aldi? My kiddos grew up in BA & a couple still live there so I know the area very well. I was so disappointed, but I guess you get what you pay for.
