Oh so today I'm going to be touching up my roots with the relaxer um, I'm also going to be fixing parts from when I originally relaxed my hair. So I'm going to be giving guys a few tips that I use to at least help myself get a little good relaxer, since I'm not going to the salon to pay for it and I've done it at home. So, first thing: first: clearly you want to take your hair out, but I find my nails. I know this is a tip that you're thinking like. Why would I do that? Because, when you're moisturizing, your scalp or when you're doing your hair, that's when your nails is snagging into your hair, especially if you have fake nails and your nails is growing out and it gets stuck in between that always used to happen. To me every time I don't do my nails often, but it's my do nothing that happens to me every time I do my hair for some odd reason like the hair is so thin. It slips right in between there and we do not need that. Okay. So I would go like this on Cotton I'll do on my pants, because it was definitely so I'll. Just go like this rub my fingernails on cotton and whatever nail snacks see this nail snagged a little bit this one definitely snagged. So I can see that there's a little thing right here, not toss out of ten. I just peel it off trash and now continue to check each and every now and just for security purposes. I just file each nail down just to get rid of any potential. Snagging but I'm going to base my scalp, so I'm going to moisturize my scalp put some oil on my scalp a day before, so this is the day before I'm going to be doing a root touch up. You know what I'm mad about these breeds, because I spent so long to do them just for me to take it out in three weeks like, but I knew I was gon na. I could actually give it another week, but no you don't want to do too much use this. What is it called Nature's Blessing? Take this piece, foreign bugging, you dress back small, but my next tip, as I was saying, is to not scratch your scalp. At least 24 hours before you do this days before, that would be better, but I know when I was scalp itching. We want to go like this and whatever no use your fingertips, only your scalp itching just go like this. Just using the fingertips, don't scratch your scalp, because you're gon na um cause tiny little cuts on your scalp and then, when you perm your hair after you wash your perm on everything. You'Ll see that you've developed like a scab in your um on your scalp and that's the last thing we want scabbing on our scalp. You know what I'm saying so just try to avoid your scalp. If you can, if not Pat, Pat Pat Pat, don't forget or use your fingertips to just lightly, rub it to alleviate that itch foreign or like any braids right now. I think that's why I stopped doing a lot of braids, because I actually started working out. So since I started working out, it'd be slapping the floor in the gym. You know it just be coming out of this thing and if I put in a bun it's just gon na be too heavy on my head. But let's say I'm doing like mountain climbers. It'S dragging on the floor and I have to come home and sleep in that. Oh uh-oh, it's, okay, not a bad pool, not a bad hole; okay, not a bad pose either. Oh I'm supposed to be relaxing my hair, okay, so you're going to need two separate pair of gloves. So I have one hair, but I'm gon na get another one later you can braid it separately, but I'm going to use clips for this one. Once I discovered these clips, like I was told they gripped very, very well your perm I've already mixed it and I'm gon na let it sit for at least five minutes, so they say, and the perm comes with its own pair of gloves, but only use it To mix the perm, because these gloves are always too big for a lot of people's hands, so by the time you actually start putting um the Permian hair. This glove is slip and slotted everywhere, and you can't feel anything. I don't think you're gon na do a good job using these people gloves so get your own pairs. You only want to relax The Roots. You don't want to keep putting the perm all the way down to the ends of your shaft. That'S a No-No! That'S how your hair become even more and more weak and we're not doing that. Okay, you only got new growth on your scalp right. Stick it to keep it to the scalp, I'm going to finger detangle just to pull out any shed hair. Okay, correct last time. I did this. I had last time I did this. I ended up doing little twists and I feel as though taking those twists out in between while I'm trying to move was just too much, so I'm definitely just going to be using Clips this time. Next, you want to take the grease and just put it around your edges. Just to you know, keep them protected and whatever I'm gon na put a lot in the center, because I definitely need that the back the sides - and I definitely always grease my air. You can also put a little piece of tissue in your ear if you want to be extra, but I'm not going to do that. I'M not gon na be that person. You know: okay, take a big Lop of perm and just put it all around the perimeter of that section and to get the middle you'll open the piece and just slap some perm in the middle and just take the comb and smooth it out to make sure That everything gets you're going to continue to do this throughout your whole entire hair, so perm around open, it add more perm to make sure the middle gets. You smoothed it out with the comb, and you continue to do that throughout your throughout your whole, entire scalp foreign. Look. I just got out of my ear crease that you're up 100 percent now for the front. I always take out the very front part, because I do that last last now for the very front foreign. To be honest, I put a lot over here because over here gets you know real coarse, but my baby hairs. I like to skip that. You know I need a good perm, because my birthday is in next my birthday's next week, so I'm gon na need the hair to look flat, because I want to do a youth part wig, which you will well. You already have washed that you part way before you watch this video. I am assuming that you're watching my videos, so all right, so it's done it's. 11. 11. I start at 11 o'clock. The thing is with this um relaxer thing I don't know if I'm ready in the instructions, but clearly, if it's not my brain, I don't think I remember, or I even know, does the time start the moment you put the perm in your hair or the time Start after you're done so guys just took 11 minutes to put this in. Do I wait another 15 minutes? You know what I'm saying like I'm not doing that, because I'm not about to sit here and risk it, but that's a really good question that I don't have an answer for so I'm sorry but I'll most likely leave it in for 15 to 20 minutes. So and always recommend the stuff in the back and work your way up, because the back is way coarser than up it should be at least everybody has different, but the back of my hair is coarser than the front of my hair, and even when I did The first relaxer the front took the the best. The best does that make that makes the best the front process better the front process better than the back. That'S why I'm gon na have to go in and redo the ends of the back. It fixed. My mistake: I'm just going to put the perm down the shaft, but now I'm not going to take it all the way to the end, because I got to be careful, I don't want to get too happy with this and mess up my ends as if they Aren'T fragile enough that color, your hair, please just go to the salon, just go to the salon. If you have colored hair just go to the salon. Okay and of course, I recommend only doing the roots, but since I wanted to fix my mistakes, that's why I just that's why I um didn't only do my roots, but other than that. Just only do your roots! Well, you want to wash it out and I'm going to let the neutralizing shampoo sit in for at least three to five minutes. I know it says two to three minutes, but if doing the most as a person, I outdid myself, you know it looks like really. Prime, like this, that flat flat might do the front was done last. I'M gon na go and put the conditioner in and let it sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes during that time, I'll, probably just work out real quick. They don't make these easy to open them for real, oh foreign. If anybody else does this, but I like to moisturize my hair before I even blow dry it or straighten it, and then I add a I'm, not obnoxious up a up up, not obnoxious amount of heat protector. Oh my goodness, obnoxious, okay, I blew my hair out. It'S not completely dried, yet hold I'm gon na straighten it tomorrow, God willing and I'm gon na cut it. I mean yeah because I feel like a trim is like half an inch, but I want to do like an inch and a half. I don't know if you're gon na like ends that just don't look even I just want to get rid of that, and so I'm thinking about cutting it because of that pick like trimming it because that picture. But now I'm not sure, because I feel like now that it's straightened it looks a lot better than the picture. I feel I might still take a little bit off, but not like OD all right. This is the moment. I'Ve been dreading because I can't see in the back of my head, so I'm going to try and trim it trim, slash cup, whichever one happens right now, and we're gon na see how it looks after if it's completely uneven. That would be unfortunate. To be honest, so I went I want to go like this. You know, since my hair grows in layers, it'll be better. If I go like that foreign okay, this is how I was looking on this side. So let's try this side. If I played this side is longer all right, oh this is the worst idea I mean I came up with a lot of bad ideas, but this one has to take the cake. Don'T do this at home for Real by the end of this? I'M not sure my hair will even be even let me see, let me just try to match it up to this one boom boom boom boom. Let me see trouble please go to the Solano. I have no business doing this at home TBH. I probably didn't. Do a good job: let's see, that's not bad! Let'S see um, I feel like this side of my hair is way longer than the other side see this one got more of a nice curve, this one not so much it's the longest side of my hair, because I don't feel as though I did a good Job, but at this point it's already done yeah I should go to a professional, please you're, trying to be cheap. You end up paying more than you need to pay. Oh, is it lopsided? I can't see I'm recording. So if it's lopsided, it is what it is at this point. It'S like this side is definitely longer than this side. 100 percent. 100. I think next time I'm just gon na cut it blunt. Thank you for watching my video and I partially probably messed up my cut, but that's what we got. So this is what we're gon na work with see you guys in my next video okay, don't forget to like comment And subscribe. Okay, thanks

ur daddy: I absolutely love how experimental and content you are with your hair. As women, especially black women we have so many emotions connected to our hair, and the things I usually want to try with my hair, I’m just too scared because of the emotional attachment I have toward it. I would love to just cut my hair or color it and think “if this fails, it is what it is. It’ll grow back.” You know what? Not me but I loveeee your energy and you are so gorgeous! Love the little photo shoot you gave us in the beginning

Akhira Hayer: As a 4z girl, if you can find away to relax and still have healthy hair and retain length, then more power to you. It looks really good.

Ropa Mpofu: From this angle it doesn't look lopsided but the middle part of the back can be shaped a little bit. Beautiful results.

Miracle Pryor: Gorgeous! Your hair looks so good, girl! It grows so fast! ❤

Mari Lorena: It’s looks really good and has the v look that hair normally or natural has.

The Bhadmus Corner: It came out really good!

Siobhan A: Great video girl - keep them coming

LAVISHLUXXSHOP: It came out beautifully.

V Cadoree: You did a Beautiful job with the Perm & Cut. Bless You.

Jackie White: It actually looks really nice.

Passive Income Girl: Your content is seriously top tier my gosh

Elmira Gates: Time starts the moment you start relaxing your hair.

Tracy Alcide: Sis the cut came out so nice

Butterfly Feels: The cut is perfect! Please don't cut it blunt.

Aeriel: The time start from when you put the relaxer on your head so when your done putting on the relaxer head to the sink!! (What I learned in hair school)

Alison: You got me screaming at the screen when you Slapped that relaxer on already processed hair. And in slapping it in, you got some on the section above. Rock that hair honey it’s beautiful, but pay a professional.

Princess Moo: protein treatment 2 weeks after that touchup and soak the ends in oil 1x+ a week. Good luck <3

last name: Same I always feel like the other side is longer than the other

0tismadaline: Great sharing sweetheart, thanks for the tips

Juwairiyah Umm Abdullah: Its like bleach the time starts the moment you apply it so you could wash out the first half while the 2nd half continues to process so they get equal amount of time

Smile Big: You should still do natural girl hair routines on your hair to help it stay strong. Like do aloe treatments and use avocado mask.

Maïna Sidibe: So beautiful

Rebecca Rambo: It came out fine. I honestly think micro locs would look cute on you

Tedinkay J.: Love love loveeeee ❤ came out very well

Avoro's pretty curls: Really good job

a. Hardy: Beautiful dimples

Nytinee An: um why are you overlapping the relaxer on already relaxed hair??

Felicia Walker: Time starts the moment you put it in your head

Mila Marcos Pereira: Please do more videos

KatGlo: Nooo Sis. This is why a professional is needed. You definitely had overlap and was too sloppy with the application. For the sake of your hair go to a salon next time. A touch up should be applied for carefully and neatly.

thedoctorfix: I actually like these "kitchen" do-it-yourself videos. The cut didn't turn out too bad....

Leah H: Hopefully you go back natural. Straight hair is not worth your skin soaking up formaldehyde. Relaxers wreak havoc on our uterus especially with fibroids

Lea Beauty: Guys please don’t follow these instructions. She is not a professional and is just DIYing it. Many steps are being done so incorrectly. So go get it done professionally, or seek guidance from qualified hair stylists.

Danielle Kroma: My Liberian Sister, I just found your channel. You know I had to subscribe.

Niemah Ra: Thanks for reminding me how much I do not miss relaxers.

My Angel Louise: Gal, you got some hair!

Munah Manley: Great video, by chance are you from Liberia?

Lovely: The cut was ok.

kavi bromii: Yeeess!!!
