Hey y'all, okay, I know y'all giving me the big side eye from the title, but yes, I am officially a relaxed girl, no longer natural um here in this video. This will be my actual second relaxer touch-up. I got it initially done at a salon which was whack so here I am doing it myself. Um in this clip, I'm just putting the Vaseline around my hairline y'all know how that goes. Foreign, I'm just going to do the motion. Like I'm greasing my scalp. I did quite a bit of scratching and combing, so I just wanted to make sure I had enough Vaseline in there, so I would not burn taking my time, but it was good. So yes, back to the side, I I know that you guys are giving me um yeah. This is just a decision that I came to I'm in a different place in my life um. I would never tell anyone natural you, you know, go ahead and go on to the relax. Listen at this point. I know the risks I've seen the lawsuits at this point. Everything we do in life is going to cause. Give us something. This is just something that I decided to do. Will I go back natural maybe later on, I'm not sure, but this is just where I am right now and I'm loving the space that I'm in I'm loving my growth and that's all that matters to me. That'S it um, I'm happy so here. Basically, I'm throwing this perm in my hair um and I'm using the olive oil, the ORS olive oil, no lye conditioning relaxer, I think, is the name um, but yeah. I put that all in and uh got that good. Did my neutralizing shampoo, deep conditioning and now it's time for probably my favorite part of this whole process, the mold I'm taking the Nairobi uh setting lotion and I'm just going to comb this through all uh throughout my entire head? This is actually old footage from my first relaxer when I did my hair over my salon. Experience was the waggiest the cut and the you know the relaxer was great, but her she had the personality of a trash can and I'm not going back. So I watched her close enough and watched plenty of YouTube videos, so this is what I'm going to do um. So I'm coming the Nairobi through my hair, I'm taking a comb and just you know, combing and gon na start these little waves. Here I know the most important part of a pixie cut is your mold, so I'm just taking my time creating these little swoops, I'm going to do my little uh my little side swoops and get this thing set foreign. It'S definitely a challenge. Learning how to do. My relaxed hair, all over again, it's been so long, so I'm this is quite a challenge, but I'm looking forward to learning how to do the finger waves and just doing different things just what I want to do shoot. I love it and this is how the mold looks once I'm done, shaping it and very simple. I haven't learned to do much yet, but I can't wait to do the finger waves and Etc. So once I'm done with that, I'm taking my wrap strips this is an important part of the pixie cut, because this is going to help your hair dry and keep it close to your head um. You know the mold is the most important part of the pixie cut, so that's that um. So I'm tying myself up nice and tight and then I'm going under the dryer for about 45 minutes foreign - and here I am the next day um. My mold is nice and flat loving the look. I was very tempted to just wear it like this, but for the sake of the video I'm going in with my caracare heat protectant Sheen spray. I absolutely love this product, because not only is it protecting my hair from the heat of the flat iron, but it is giving incredible shine. So I am going ham putting that all over y'all know, I'm handy heavy-handed that ain't changed and here I'm using a 3 10 uh flat iron. I will have the model in the description box and going in with my rat tail comb. I'M going to start at the top middle of my head and I'm going to pull out this section and start flat ironing and creating some curls, oh foreign, because I had no idea. I knew it was going to be a lot of work and I'm just a person that likes a good challenge, but I again 13 years of being natural not being near these products I'm having to like start from scratch, and so this is a challenge for me. But I love it because I'm doing something new and I'm happy with it, and so here I am at the front of my hair, still taking my time, combing the hair through working the process, it's definitely a process, but I love the results of it. This is actually my favorite part to do my front of my hair and my sides, because you can just I don't know, and now I'm looking like a Shirley, that's sitting in your seat on Sunday morning here I'm just going to take my sideburns here and my Wax stick and I'm just going to lay them down. I love the wax stick because it really keeps those sideburns of mine laying down and in place and out of the way, so I don't really have to do much with those next I'm going in with this comb and I'm just going to softly. You know comb out the curls I just created seems kind of crazy right, uh yeah, but this is going to kind of separate the curls they're, still pretty warm and I'm just going to kind of start moving the curls in the direction. I want them to go. Um and next I'm going in with my silk scarf, I'm going to wrap my head up for about 10 minutes, and this is going to kind of settle. The curls smash them a little bit and then I fluff them crazy, right, curl, comb smash repeat, but after 10 minutes the curls have fallen slightly um, but now it's time to fluff them up and kind of put them where I want - and this is actually of Course, my favorite part um just kind of getting to create my Pixie look, I'm still searching for the perfect cut. I'M still searching for my perfect look, but I think this is this is pretty close. This is definitely what I had in mind and I'm just gon na play with it and you know give it my signature, Alyssia dawn of work over foreign. This is the final look. I absolutely love it. I hope you love it as well. I love this space. This new Journey I'm on and I hope you guys keep on coming back. I have more videos in store. Thank you so much for watching bye,

J C: Beautiful!! Yesss to a new journey!! You did such a great job styling yourself!!

Oonagh72: Your hair is so cute!!! I love thé look!! Pro tip for basing your scalp: do it about 2 days before and then again right before you start. You scalp will be extra protected.

Selicia Adams: I'm so happy for you Alyssia. I love this look on you. I loved your locs and now I love this. Do what makes you happy. As I have said on your ig page, I'm still here, not going anywhere. I just cut my locs a month ago after 10 years. I'm still natural, but locs are gone. I did what I wanted to do and what made me happy and I'm that you did as well. I have a long pixie cut and watching you has assisted me in some products to try. As a matter of fact, I paused this video to write down the name of the setting Lotion, wax stick and heat protectant oil spray because I'm headed to the beauty supply store tomorrow to pic these items up. So yes, thank you so much. I'm looking forward to witnessing your new journey.

DonnishaLatrice: Love it love it love love it! I do this almost every year... whether it's wigs big chop sisterlocks or a fro... you know what you doing!!!

Latrina Lenae: Absolutely beautiful! Wishing you nothing but the best in this new journey of yours.

Jennifer Slowley: Why sis? I mean no disrespect. You were my styling locs/natural inspiration. However, this is your choice, but you surely have a comments section for a reason. I was excited for your journey, but, honestly, I've seen enough relaxer examples in my time. I truly wish you the best. Stay blessed.
