Welcome to the haircut breakdown and, let's see, which are the worst ones to have, let's go getting a haircut is probably one of the most exciting things that you can do. It is a very, very quick and effective way to pretty drastically change your hair and your appearance, but while there are so many incredible haircuts that you can try nowadays, there are a few that just don't look that here are the top 5 worst haircuts that I Have tried throughout my eight year long hair career, let's get into them foreign welcome to the five worst haircuts. My name is Salah and I make it my point and my life mission to try out every single haircut, color and style out there. I absolutely love love, love, trying a bunch of different things and, throughout my entire career, I've made it a very, very blanket point across all of my content that I love everything that I try, but over the many years that I have been doing this and over The many different looks that I have tried. There were a couple that stood out to me where I was like this isn't actually that easy to wear, or it's actually downright not that great, and so today I've compiled the five worst haircuts to try. Based on my experience wearing them, I tend to change my hair a lot, but I do know that for a lot of you guys getting a haircut cutting off years of growth and progress is a big deal. So I want to point out my experience wearing specific haircuts so that you can avoid any disappointment. Should you wish to try some something new and hopefully make a more informed decision if you want to try something without further Ado, let's get into it number five at number: five, the worst haircut that you can try is the sharp full bangs or fridge if you're From Europe this might seem extremely controversial because of the fact that I am actively wearing a sharp full bangs, but I have such a. Let me explain so: bangs are one of my favorite things to wear and I would recommend a lot of people try bangs, because they are such a good way to frame the face they offer coverage. If you have maybe insecurities about your forehead or you have some thinning around your hairline, they can provide very good cover and overall they are stylish. They seem to go in and out and in and out and in and out of fashion. But overall, having bangs is a very staple recognizable piece, think Zoe de Chanel whenever she wears bangs it's Zooey Deschanel, but the minute she removes them it's like. Who is that? The reason, however, that it is on the worst haircuts to try list - and I do mean this specifically for the sharp full bangs these ones exactly. It is because they are one of the hardest haircuts to grow out. The unfortunate thing about having bangs like this is that once you get them, they are quite a committing haircut. Unfortunately, once they start growing past your eyes, it's not a simple fact Act of pulling them up because they will still be too short to be pulled up, and you can't really do different styles with them other than to part them to the side. But again not really going to be the easiest. In fact, this haircut is probably one of the most difficult to maintain between when it was first cut to when it is at a length where it can blend in with the rest of your haircut. This on me is a wig: it's not going to be changing length, but when cutting the haircut on yourself you're either going to commit to it and trim it regularly on a monthly basis, which means either doing it yourself or going to a stylist or else going Through a very awkward grow out stage, when you decide you don't want them anymore. The second thing is that they constantly need styling when it's a small amount of hair and when you have fine ish hair, most likely it won't be too concerning. But if you have full thick hair or if your hair has any wave deeper than like a 2B hair, these will need constant styling and I mean Heat styling. Unfortunately, there's no heat proof hairstyle that you can do overnight. There'S nothing really! You can do other than every single morning go and get it with the blower and brush, or else with this straightener and anytime. You wet your bangs they're, most likely going to plaster to your forehead and not look the best, and I am truly saying this from experience. I do think it is a stunning beautiful and really really charming and face framing addition that you can add to your hair, but it is a dreadfully committing haircut. That needs a lot of maintenance on a day-to-day basis, and you can't really hide it very easily. Number. Four, the mid-linked layered cut - this might seem very bizarre being on this list because it seems like a gentle, genuine haircut, and I agree with that. I agree with that. I had this haircut for a very long time and it's okay. The reason. However, it is sitting very snug at number. Four is that it is one of the most boring haircuts ever wait when you have roughly collarbone length hair. Your hair is in that kind of beautiful face where it is longer than a bob, but it is not too long that it's like getting in the way or anything, and when you keep it kind of at a one length haircut. It remains very stylish, very poised and overall, is a very, very, very elegant cut. In fact, it is one of my favorite things to continuously do on my own hair having a one length pop, but when you pair this haircut with layers, especially long layers, which is when there is very subtle differences and the layers don't start from up here, they Start from lower it immediately ages, the haircut it stops being poised and fresh and elegant and all of a sudden makes you look both dated and almost childlike when it comes to haircuts. Almost every single time that I had a haircut similar to this, I was always trying to find ways to make my hair look more entertaining, add curls to it add a bit of flair, pull it up, do something with it or normally change the color, because I Just I did not like the way this haircut set. It had a very nice fall part around my head, but then thinned out very awkwardly towards the end. If this was on way longer here, that's fine, because the layers would have very gently come to a point, but because this was done at an awkward length where people could see it it genuinely just made it look like my hair was breaking or thin or fragile, Or just not sitting well, if you also then have very thin hair. This haircut will then further kind of enhance that thinning, because again the ends will be thinning genuinely. If you want to avoid your haircut looking particularly boring or dated or aged, go for a March sleeker one length option with not too much layering at the bottom at number: three, the short bob layered cut. If you watched my previous video of the worst hair colors to try, you'll most likely have seen this look in its entirety, because one of the colors that I would not recommend you try is a split die. But the unfortunate reality is that one of the things that made me dislike - the split dye in that case was the haircut that I then paired with it. When you combine layering with a short bob, it creates a very difficult length of hair to deal with out of all the haircuts that I I tried, I thought that this one would be one of my favorites and it ended up becoming one of the most difficult Ones when it comes to styling, first of all, this haircut did not just life left because it had all of these layerings and because the hair was short, it automatically poofed at the back, and so I always had two options: either go with it and add a Ton of salt spray and volumizing products to the whole head to try to give it a very bohemian-esque look or else always need to smooth it down continuously style. The brand things make sure it all lies, neatly and hope to God that it doesn't really budge throughout the day. It was also a nightmare whenever I took it swimming because it just looked so disheveled, messy and again in comparison with the split dye. It was just such a bizarre combination together. If you want to go for a short haircut option, a solid Bob will go much much further versus trying to add layering. Even if your hair is fine and you're looking for volume, this haircut might be more difficult than you're signing up for number two, the mullet earlier last year, I decided that I wanted to try every single haircut and one of the haircuts on my list was the Very coveted and recently famous mullet, this was a fan favorite, so many people were so genuinely obsessed with this haircut that it actually warmed my heart so much because it was probably one of the more explorative haircuts that I've ever tried in my career and to this Day remain is one of the more ballsy haircuts to try, but I had a hard time even finding pictures of this haircut, because I genuinely did not photograph myself a lot during this period. In fact, I went from this haircut to my pixie cut in a very short span of time. This haircut was beautiful. It was also extremely extremely Niche like when it came to what you could wear with it see. The whole point of a mullet is that it's short on the top and kind of lengthier at the back, and that kind of always looks a certain way. You always need to wear things that kind of accentuated my own personal fashion, styling and my own personal application of makeup never really fit that aesthetic again. This might not be the case for you at all, and this haircut might actually fit you so so so well. But when it came to me and styling it, I thought it would be a genuinely easy haircut to style which it was as a haircut itself. But when it came to an overall look, I always felt like it was such a misbalance and slightly non-fitting haircut with me, specifically second to that it was easy to style and difficult. At the same time, I always woke up with the hair facing every single Direction and even though it was relatively easy to style every morning, because I literally just went with the salt spray every single day, it didn't really fit my type of hair, which is smooth And Lush and that you can run your hands through it because I was always constantly layering it with styling products. Whenever I left this haircut unstyled with no products in it, it genuinely looked so messy and so frizzy layered and a bit awkward. If you are absolutely looking for something that can be styled within seconds and you're happy to have product in your hair constantly, and always this one might be for you, but if you're like me - and you prefer something that is very, very light: fluffy free of product Free of anything and just sits beautifully on its own. This haircut might be a tad bit difficult just because it is high maintenance and it is a very, very particular and specific haircut to have at number one, the boyish haircut. Another haircut that I decided to try. Last year was the boyish haircut. This was the haircut that I tried just before shaving it off. It was my least favorite. I called it a boyish haircut because it is very often seen on people who identify as men and I feel like. It looks very, very good when taken in a masculine context. But when you try to pair it with feminine attributes, with a pixie like face jewelry and makeup and everything it just didn't go again. This is from a very, very personal perspective, but the hair was just at such a short length to style, but too long to be called edgy that it just again it felt boring, but it also felt difficult and it just it didn't contribute anything. The hair was short enough that it didn't particularly pick a side to part on it, always just kind of awkwardly stood up, but it wasn't short enough to then stand up fully. It always kind of bent at the end. It was also one of those haircuts that grew exceptionally quickly and did still need regular high maintenance, as any man will tell you probably a twice monthly haircut required. I tried it initially with a soft baby, pink, hair color and as much as I wanted. The hair color to work with it it just it didn't go. The haircut was not particularly feminine on me. It didn't particularly spark anything excitement and every time I saw myself in the mirror I was like this is not exciting. It'S not delivering anything. It wasn't particularly hard to style in a styling perspective, mainly because there wasn't too much hair and I just flattened it with a beanie, but it was it wasn't giving much I I was always longing for it either to be shorter or longer it was such an In-Between haircut that I just as a creative and as a person who loved hair it just wasn't giving anything. It was, however, pretty low maintenance. So if that's your go-to go for it, but if you are looking for exciting and if you are looking for an edgy kind of short haircut, this one is still not the one to go for. I was one of those haircuts that no matter what color color I dyed it, no matter what I put on it, even when it was blonde green, black or pink it. Just it didn't do anything. Every single one of these was based on my personal experience. Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it might not work for you and vice versa, and I am still a big believer that you can only judge something based on you actually trying it. So if you genuinely want to try any one of these haircuts or any other haircut, please try it. But if you are someone who sees haircuts as big decisions, because you are aware that hair takes a while to grow, take these into consideration before trying any of these. I would love to know your thoughts on this, especially if you have any one of these haircuts. Let me know if you faced some of these dilemmas. If you face some of these styling issues and also, let me know, if you'd love to see any other Haircut video, maybe the best haircuts I ever tried. If you haven't already subscribe to this channel, join the Stellar fam and let's learn a thing or two together and if you want to see me, try any other haircut. Let me know down below. I'M always super excited to see what you recommend. Also. Everyone is always asking me whether my eyeballs are real or not their lenses. Obviously these ones are by ttdi, I'm going to link them down below there's also a coupon code. This is not an ad but you're always asking me, but they uh fit the look. I hope you enjoyed this video. I hope you'll give it a go, and I will see you in my next video bye babies.

анастасија: 1:44 5. sharp full bangs/fringe pros: face framing, covering forehead or hairline, statement haircut cons: committing haircut - hardest to grow out, hard to style when growing out, needs constant styling, triming especially for thick hair (heat damage) 4:44 4. mid length layered haircut cons: boring, can look awkward or like your hair is damaged, especially if you have thin hair, can look outdated or childlike, one length>layers 6:55 3. short bob with layers cons: bob paired with layers can be difficult for styling, it looks messy if not styled, one length bob>bob with layers 8:31 2. mullet pros: trendy, bold cons: can be hard to fit in your style of fashion and makeup, need to be styled and needs styling products, depending on your hair type 11:11 1. boyish haircut pros: low maintenance cons: its rather boring or awkward than edgy, needs to be trimmed regularly, haircut is masculine and it may not work with all styles and features these are all form Stella's personal experience, so it might not be case for you ofc, you never know until you try, but you might want to consider before committing to haircut as hair can take a while to grow out

AngieLaPirate: I think it really depends on your face shape and hair type. I have very thick wavy hair and I have a lot of it. If I don't have layers, I look terrible. I recently got a blunt bob and I looked like Lord Farquad... It was horrendous aha Now I have added layers and my waves pop so much more! I do love blunt bobs but sadly they're not for me

Red Tomato Sauce: i'm gonna defend the short bob in layers bc this hairstyle ompletely changed my appearence for the better, im reccomending it to everyone who has a curly hair like mine because it does such a good job at keeping the hair volume and giving it a nice shape. My hair just looked very akward before i added the layers

Claudia Deretti: I love you Stella, I adore your videos, but I cannot disagree more on the mullet being high maintenance!! I had this haircut midway growing out my buzzcut and it was so easy to wear because it is meant to be imperfect and it should be worn messy. If you have wavy or curly hair it's a style that is especially suitable for that hair type. Team mullet to the rise lol

Athena Bonney: damn this really goes to show that different styles work vastly different for different textures. I have very thick 2b/2c/3a hair that has a looser curl pattern on my top layers and tighter underneath. Blunt bobs are my literal worst nightmare, and some of my favorite and easiest hairstyles for my hair type were mentioned in this video.

ida danica: Ive had a very short bob with layers and the “boyish” cut. The short layered bob is my all time favorite hairstyle. I have wavy to loose curly hair and its very thick, and somehow my hair just thrives in a short layered bob. Though, because of my waves and curls i just rolled with the poof, which is a style i love. The boyish cut, is the cut im currently growing out. I loved it for 3 weeks, then i became too long and just annoying. I, however, felt the cut went perfectly well with a feminine face and suited it quite well. I have round eyes and cheeks and a pixie-like face, and i loved the boyish cut. To finish off, i dont style my hair, at all. So i just let my hair do and look however it wants.

Helena Buschermöhle: I am OBSESSED with this look! the color, the hairstyle, it's giving futuristic vibes and I LOVE IT!

Ariana Rose Plays: For me who has tried all of them, I started growing out my buzzcut and reached the boyish cut which I hated, then I had a mullet which was soo hard to style and then I did a Bob with bangs the straight across bangs which i decided to cut layers to my hair so it is easier to grow out which was annoying and then I reached the mid length layered hair which was fine actually and then now chest length layered hair which I like because my hair is thick and wavy

Anna Howell: I live for my pixie cut! Styling is a breeze, as long as I keep the neck super short, and changing haircolor, no problem...I'll do it often, and it makes it exiting, it stays healthy because of my haircut every 4 weeks. So,the pixie is my fave!

Jasmin Fernandez: I did 3/5 of these haircuts last year because i was on a hair recovery journey so chopping off my hair and doing anything to it wasnt a bother for me. But everything you said was so right! It was so hard for me to stick with the short hair with layers or short hair and bangs and currently growing out the mullet I decided to do because they are all so hard to style and deal with on an everyday basis

Rebecca Verhaeghe: I always struggle with bangs because they get greasy soooo much sooner than the rest of my hair!! I'm now rocking the short "boyish " type cuts and they're perfect for me personally. But def require regular maintenance! In any case, hair is fun to change and I enjoy seeing all the ways you change yours and it had inspired me to try some stuff with my own hair too!

Elle: I had the exact same experience with my mullet, but my mistake was getting it in 2011 when they were not in style again. It was the most unforgiving struggle I've gone through

Lara Schwiegelshon: i'd like to add something to the mullet! i've been wearing one with curtain bangs for ~1 year now and it's been the best hairstyle for me personally. i cut it myself when my hair was at my collarbones, now it's grown about 10cm give or take. i have quite thin hair with waves, and i think that's exactly why it's so suitable for me. it can get quity messy and weird overnight, but the only styling i need is to spray it with a little water and i'm good to go as soon as it airdries. so if you wanna try it and have similar texture to my hair, feel free to go for it without any worries. :) but i agree very strongly that it has to suit your personal style, if you prefer something like a preppy or chic aesthetic it might not be your thing.

Vera Papp: mid length layered haircut might work well with some hairtypes. i have really reckless, thick and slightly wavy natural blonde hair and that haircut works well since my hair's natural texture does the trick. i could imagine that cut on wavy or curly hair as well.

Jacklyn Olson: The irony that Stella will be experiencing all of these cuts when growing out her buzzcut

Jasperella Wolfsbane 🧹🌜: I don't know the reason why but mid length hair to me doesn't look good on me , the length between long and short ...I feel like it should either be short or long, btw I think with Stellas features she looks amazing in every style

Panda Cauai: It's so interesting that these are the types of haircuts that look great on thick wavy hair, at least on mine they look great, especially the layered ones because your hair basically styles itself, I now am sporting a mullet and I love it, it is not more unstable than any haircut I've ever had and honestly I'll take unstable and unpredictable over the huge, heavy and frizzy ball of hair the blunt haircuts give me (also they always look boring on me and not stylish and sleek).

snoopy: I've never even thought about the process of growing bangs out because that's how long I've had them lol... but they're not full bangs, they're thinner and more see-through

Lucy: I've worn the full fringe most of my life because it fits my face perfectly and I therefore have the authority to say: if you want to see if it's a look for you, use fake bangs (clip ins or tricks using your own hair pinned over your head) and only cut it if you're certain it will enhance your features. Styling tip: I wash my hair in the evening and heat style my fringe and then I sleep with a velcro roller on it. In the morning I spray dry shampoo under the fringe and brush it. It holds the volume well until the next wash day

Noopy P: Number 5 made me laugh a lot because I've had full bangs my whole life.

Saba Kalshoven: 4:15 I had short, sharp bangs and I loved them, for three weeks until they grew out and the wind caught them. I completely agree that the grow out is gross. I got a pixies cut because I was bored of it!

Mandy Roy: I agree about the bangs. I wish I hadn’t done it Now I’m growing into #4 - the boring haircut as you say. That said, it’s a purple ombré so it’s not boring.

PJ: Every time I’ve had a mid-length cut, it has felt so boring! Sure it’s versatile, but just like you mentioned it also looks dated and bland (especially on me!)

Isabelle Victoria: god i wish i have the bravery that you do. i’ve dyed my hair loads of times but mostly natural colours and hated a lot of them. i bleached my hair in july last year and dyed it pink. i hated it because there were loads of spots i missed and it was way too vibrant for me. i also wanted my hair to shoulder length in may 2021 but my hairdresser cut it extremely short. i was stuck with short, black hair and cried most nights. now i’m stuck with brown hair and 18” extensions which i love but i’m also growing out a fringe which makes it worse. i don’t think i could make any more impulsive decisions

ThePigeonBrain: I would like to add one to your list - rapunzel hair. It is, in my experience, the worst, period. Yeah, it looks dazzling on pictures, it opens up for a lot of gorgous braids and updos, and it's every little girl's dream... but it just doesn't outweigh the cons. 1. You have to set aside a lot of time every day to style it, even if it's just a comb through, or it'll look like a rat's nest. 2. It's cumbersome, it weighs an absolute unit. 3. You're gonna do braids braids braids even if you don't like them, because if you don't manage it, it gets in the way of your daily activities. 4. It's difficult to pick outfits for. Basically the only outfit it doesn't look unnatural is a princess dress and bless you if you show up to work in that. 5. It is a commitment that takes years to accomplish, and split ends will fight you every step of the way. Say goodbye to hair dryers, curlers, bleach and hair ornaments that are too tight. 6. It takes hours for your hair to dry.

Mykasan: i love the short layered bob even if it need some tweking. so that's what i'm trying right now :D and everything you said happened. though, i'm not really that upset about it, i like the look.

Susan Ruby: I tried doing a pixie cut with the sides cut really short. The first day I washed it it looked horrible and I decided just to grow my hair back out again. It took a year for my hair to grow back to a chin length bob which is much easier to style.

Niphyra: Getting blunt bangs was the best decision i made. But only the second time. The first fimr my hairdresser did them way too thick and looking back I absolutely hate the way it looks. Second time i cut them myself and i live it. Its a struggle sometimes but ive never been more confident

BonnieTheBat: As someone who grew out a buzzcut, I have gone through most of these phases. I really liked the boyish hair on me like 1-2 months of growing out. I liked the micro bangs on me but I disliked the rest of the hair being kind of a mullet at the same time, so I always pinned it back except for the bangs. Shoulder length layered hair wasn't the thing for me too because I don't like layers around my face on me cause it makes me look older. Now I'm having middle length hair with only a litte layer on the bottom which isn't flipping around my face anymore and I kind of start liking it because it got so long. All in all, growing out a buzzcut had like many awkward hair phases which made me less insecure about my hair and how it looks. 10/10 would do it again and shave it all off because the shaved head was one of the best looks on me

Francesca Cresta: Me, loving these haircuts more than any other realizing I've been making my life harder

Simone: Bangs is my go to style but I completely agree lol. They need to be trimmed constantly, there’s a weird phase when they can’t look good, & wind is the bane of my existence. Buuut they are so cute & you can throw your hair in a bun & still look fashionable because of your bangs. Plus they’re pretty easy to cut, I think.

Dawn Liphard: When it comes to hair, I love your channel. But when it comes to my own hair, it's been about waist length for almost 10 yrs. I hate myself in short hair so I never go any shorter than mid-back. At almost 60 I've been told I'm too old for long hair. Oh well.

Just be Ju!: Hey! I‘ve recently discovered your channel, since I‘ve become more explorative with my hair. And I am absolutely loving your videos. My plan is to try a buzzcut, so I wonder if there is a video that shows the best haircut for each length. That would make the outgrowing process so much easier!

Tamara Bustos Rivero: OMG!!! I TOTALLY AGREE ABOUT BANGS!!! I... still fighting with the ones I made (yes "I", without any knowledge about haircuts and before knowing YOU). And It was worse when I went to the hairdreeser and we style it with the intention of HIDE IT. But I have curly hair and the sweat cause a massive acne problem. So... YES!! PLEASE, NO (Also... I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! <3)

Deeksha Nema: I believe any haircut's look will absolutely depend on your hair texture. If you have wavy hair (i do), a straight blunt cut just makes them look incredibly poofy in a weird triangular way. Layers are an absolute must for me as i don't straighten them and want my waves to pop :)

2B or not 2B: As someone who has had sharp, full bangs for my entire life, uhm... it's expensive to constantly cut them. I'm currently learning how to cut them myself. I'm a 2A / 2B hair type, and I've never had any problems with styling (makes sense) but yes, high maintenance, but my head looks like a malformed egg without them, so, don't take this haircut lightly.

The5thMoonBun: I will say, I think a short layered Bob looks good on curly hair. I had it for over a year and the only thing I didn't like was my bangs with it. I made me look like I was wearing a very curly bowl. Obviously, people can do whatever they want, but this is my experience

BlackKoshka23: I had a pixie cut once and instantly regretted it. Can confirm it also didn't work for me. The only pros of it was that I spent almost zero time washing and drying my hair, and it barely needed a comb in the mornings, but I couldn't wait for it to grow back.

Ivy M: I was waiting for the mullet lol. It looks amazing on you but it also looks soooo hard to style. Also I currently have a long layer grown out bob situation and it is so fluffy at the bottom because that is where all my damage is it’s driving me crazy but also I don’t want to lose any length

bee: Would love to see best haircuts Loving all your new content!

SandyQuinn: I really understand your problems with every hair cut, I use to have my hair long since I was a kid but I was tired (it takes more time to drying it, more to dying it and other products to style it or hair care) and I decided to cut it. Sometimes I miss long hair 'cause I'm tired of using the heat to style it. It's the most difficult thing to keep it looking good, especially when it's raining, when it's too hot and your own sweat damage the image you wanted to preserve.

Sofia Nijholt: I kinda face the same issues with my current layered bob, when i’m lazy and dont want to style my hair. Its soooo frizzy :( Loved the video tho! And would love to see a top 5 best haircuts!

IAmAZygote: Love this channel and your shares! Hair is deeply personal and though you rocked each look, the point is they didn’t bring you joy. I love how you point that out and encourage us to go on our own hair journeys. You are very brave with hair ❤

Jaz Nought: Sitting here having just cut thick blunt bangs again and whole-heartedly agreeing. I know all this and still keep cutting them back because growing them out feels legit impossible when you've long hair otherwise.

wlk68: Never mind the cuts, I absolutely LOVE that blue-purple color you're wearing in the opening shot!

Abby Williams: I have never been very creative with my haircuts. I did have the full bang moment when I was about 14 years old, and I honestly don't recommend it for younger teens for that reason. I was at that age where my body was working things out, so I had excessively oily skin one day and dry the next. The fluctuations in hormones and the newness to skin and hair care, plus the fact that I didn't really style my hair at all were the major contributors that lead to my dislike of bangs. They ended up looking unkempt most days, were prone to getting oily, and caused my forehead to breakout as well.

Éva VargaZs: Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughts!!❤️ It helps a lot!!

fxckng jules: Mullet? It's the best and favorite haircut I've ever had, for me. I LOVE it. Many people, my hairdresser too, says it's really good. For me it's pretty easy to style tho. But do have fine wavy hair, barely use products in it. Did get it in steps tho. But last year+ I've had the sides shaved, now with like one pluck besides the ear which is longer.

Effie Rivera: I have been growing out my buzzcut forever now. And I’m currently rocking a short layered Bob look, with split dye, and micro bangs…..I wake up every morning with my bangs sticking straight up and the rest of my hair looking like a strange mushroom lololol

ña na: These videos are so cool! Haha you’ve really tried tried everything so it’s interesting

I still don't know my name: I have to disagree with bangs. I've had them for years now and I love them. It all comes down to your hairtype. For me, Trimming can be done once a month and it takes like 10/15 minute, it doesn't even bother me, I actually really like doing it. And for the styling part I also never had any problems, most days they dont need any. The only things about them that can be considered a con, in my experience at least, is how easily they become greasy. I need to wash the every two days at least. But it's so worth it!!

Bruna Celeghini: hahaha I actually have 3 simultaneously of this 5 on my hair right now. Sharp full bangs and mullet at the front and a short layerd bob at the back. Not my favorite one but It´s just the way I found to let my hair grow without being weird before having a pixie cut. I always have to put some clips to look decent and cute

Nerd: I actually quite liked a very short haircut on myself and I let it grow out to a kris Jenner like length before completely growing it out and I enjoyed all of those stages except growing it out. It was an absolute nightmare. Constantly keeping the back cut and letting the front grow was worse than growing out bangs, and I’ve done my fair share of those. I would cut my hair off in a heartbeat but it might stay for more than the 2 years I had it short before.

valentina P: I've had full bangs my whole due to my big forehead. I do style everyday but it takes like 10 minutes (wash, dry, straighten). My only issue is that I can't have one of those pretty layered styles(my hair is super straight) because it would make it look too thin because of the bangs. I loved u in the green long bob. If I cut mine I want it to look just like you had.

Dina Nemkova: I had two of this haircuts in your list, the long bob with layers and the mallet, although not as short as yours and i absolutely agree with what you said, i faced all the same problems. Now i have a short sharp bob with bangs, that I actually saw you cutting a couple of years on your wig)) I loved how it looked on you but I was worried about the bangs, that it would be hard to style. In the end it turned to be my favourite haircut, so thank you for the inspiration.

Kimberly White: I've had hair from my mid back to a buzzcut pixie. I keep a buzzcut pixie and when I'm not lazy I keep it a silver color and it's my favorite of all time. I love that I hardly have to do anything to keep it looking good, it's cheapest to keep cut vs any other salon style (i'm not spending $$$ for a hair cut), cheap to bleach, cheap to color, cheap to shampoo. I love it and it looks good on me. I know you didn't like it on you but I thought you looked fantastic with it!

E_: I love this series!❤

D Le: I still think you looked gorgeous in all those 5 haircuts tbh, like in all other hairstyles we saw you in on this channel

Lady Macbeth: I have very thick curly hair and the layered bob was the best haircut I’ve ever had. I’m currently growing it out because I want to look like Princess Merida from Brave and it’s still holding up fantastically

Slavic Power: The boyish haircut was amazing on you! I LOVED IT!

lemon: I appreciate you pointing out how subjective your picks are and that your list is purely based on your experience but I wish you would've mentioned a bit more explicitly the differences across hair types and how your perspective is limited by this. I feel like I'm nitpicking and I'm not an authority on this or hating at all, but I can't help but feel like this video concept is a little exclusionary and perhaps it should've been framed as "the worst haircuts I've had" ‍♀ &❤

madhulika mitra: Hey! Your wigs are just gorgeous. Can you make an updated wig video? Would highly appreciate it. Love your channel ❤️

sisipinho: As someone with a bob (with unintentional layers ) and full straight bangs…I can understand your point, but it’s happily my “signature” hairstyle

Milena Djordjevic: The midlenght layered haircut!!!! OMG so true! Going trough all the problems with it right now. And I have very fine hair (recently discovored that diabetes is one of the reasons for that). I'll get a blunt bob (not too short) because I always looked good with it, I have a long neck, so it's fits me...Thank you my lovely hair person, Stella ❤

cece: i agree so much with #4, i have trichotillomania and my hair was very short so i’ve tried every length basically from buzz to bob to mid length and so on. the mid length was 1000% the ugliest because of how dead it makes the hair look with the layers especially. tbh either you cut it or get extensions to avoid the monstrosity. once the hair grows to about nipple/boob length it gets much better but for it to grow out that long it takes a little bit of time, and it also takes time to make it not look dead. just don’t give yourself the #4 haircut it sucks lmao

Lucy H: your hair here Stella, stunning! the colour, the twists :)

byeolmins: how do you always manage to post the exact topics i need in the exact time i need them… you are so awesomeee thanks soo much !!

Akshita Pradeep: Great stuff Stella! Great to see you back in your element again!

Julia Kirsty: It's funny that most hair cuts you consider "bad" in some terms are actually those I like wearing the most while the alternatives you meantion are hair cuts I hate a lot. I think it always comes down to one's personal overall style. It doesn't even matter if a hair cut looks good one someone. It matters if your personal vibe goes with it. And that really comes to show when you talk about all those things. Coz I really think most hairstyles you showed looked really good on you, especially the mullet. But as I said, that doesn't matter coz you need to feel like yourself while wearing it and you need to like what you see, when you look in the mirror. So maybe we shouldn't be so fixiated on how something might look on us, more on how something will work for us (when considering who we really are and what we vibe with.

Banannakis: A sharp bang on me looks good for a day or two, but it was such high maintenance that I couldn't deal with it anymore and swore to never get it again. Also, my hair is naturally oily, so it would just stick to my face in the most unflattering way. I like longer bangs that still frame the face, but are able to be moved aside if need be.

Uma Perri: I love the boyish haircut I like how I can't control it and I feel it looks punky what I really like

EvilSnips: Not gonna lie, I really like the short bob with the poofy sort of look. So in that case, it's more of a pro to me. I am SO tired of mid-length layer hair, I am looking to try something new. My hair naturally curls in a big ringlet style, so it's really hard to find a sleek, elegant haircut without looking boring or childish, I wish I had hair where I could do the straight bangs or sleek mid-length!

vanessa12004: I actually liked the split dye coloring and hairstyle :)

Jihyo: I‘ve had bangs for almost all of my life, I really love them but they’re so exhausting

Amy Adams: Sometimes I think people forget the reasons for your picks (color or cut) in these videos. These are based on YOUR experience with haircuts YOU had to live with. Obviously it would be different for everyone since we aren’t all the same, physically and personality wise. I loved all these on you except the last one.. wasn’t my fave on you but at the same time I thought you wore it beautifully. I have always hated bangs cuz of the upkeep for them and will never do them lol.. I’ve done a lot to my hair, not quite too much hair cut wise, and I can get where you’re coming from and why you picked these 5. For the last (coming up this year) 8 years I’ve had a 360 undercut.. I started it back in august of 2015 with about 2 inches of hair at the top I had to grow out. By 2017 it was almost down to my shoulders but I just can’t leave my hair alone and ruined it so I had to cut off quite a bit. It’s been a struggle ever since cuz I never learn my lesson haha. In the process now of growing out my hair again after cutting off most (still have the undercut, will not be getting rid of that anytime soon) cuz of damage and I just wanted to start over. Did grow out my undercut during that time so I could fix the line and make it a little lower - now it’s perfect. Been 8-9 months since that chop and my hair is looking really good at the length it’s gotten to. I’m finally in love with my hair again basically anyways, I’d love the best haircuts video!! That would be awesome!

Sangria D.: Yup, sharp full bangs with long hair was the worst look on me! It's weird because the idea of it seemed super cute and like a princess. But it just didn't do the trick for me. It was a hell growing it out. I don't like mid length layered cut either because it feels too classic on me. And yeah the boring description was on point LOL And it's my current hair right now! Because my hair was long but blunt and I wanted layers and it got much shorter than I wanted! Makes me look even younger tho for some reason.

Jaida Nixon: I NEED a tutorial on how you styled this wig. PLEASE

Moc_prin: In the endless journey of trying to grow my bangs but then cutting it again… ever since 2016!

OcyTaviAh: I have a very different perspective of what looks good compared to you. I am very pro short hair and think it looks excellent on everyone. When it’s something you have to wear and make it work for you, it is different. I’ve always been very pro low-maintenance and do not want to put in any styling effort when it comes to my hair, which is why I go short. But if you find your expression and fun in all the different things you can do with hair, short hair can be really restricting.

B.G.D: My hair is at the mid length bob with layers for over a year now and my hair is sleek naturally. I've been trying growing it out since day one of having this hairdo but everytime it gets to a certain point it looks so damaged and I'll have to cut it again. It's so frustrating because the pieces in the front are always breaking off to a point that the rest of the hair needs to lose its length to make it decent again. The other option is growing it out and cutting my hair in a 'v' shape, but that makes my hair look very short and boyish. I love the Bob but I hate the struggles that come with it. God it's so frustrating.. commenting this and seeing the same struggle in your video made me feel a lot better

Emma Foster: i got bangs again recently for the first time since i was too young to remember and i love them EXCEPT for the fact that my hair grows kinda fast so my bangs need trimming like every week to keep them from stabbing my eyes i look so much better with bangs than without though so the upkeep is worth it for me :)

Jennifer Sebastian Victor: thank you for emphasizing that these are your experiences! :)

Sarah Kraemer: stella pleaaaase make a video on how to style this shoulder length layered bob so it doesn't look extremely outdated :((( the girlies that shaved their head 2 years ago in quarantine need it desperately (i'm girlies)

Dayanne Cristina: I love how you styled the wig

H Dervish: I've just been to chicken to do anything but variations of a shaggy bob for years. The only things that ever change are my part and my bangs. I'm frustrated with the sharp bangs because I prefer the way I look with them, but my hair is so curly at my temples that it when I sweat I just look like I have a mullet

Myshka: Love the series. Keep it up, please ❤️

4typesofpenguins: Girl please tell me you're staying on Youtube. All these compilations feel like a good bye

Zuzana Fellerová: As a 3A type curly girl I would LOVE to have a chin one length bob but I like the look only for straight hair - mine have to have layers to not look like a triangle, so this straight hairstyle is never gonna be sth for me And if I cut it straight as the short bob, it would curl up eventually and it would be damn too short - and I like my hair curly more. But! For the longest time I was trying to grow my hair super long - never happened, it was just always dead af at the ends and it went nowhere, I just looked like a witch from swamp imo - finally I gave in, chopped it in a layered bob with gradual fringe at the side (I only wear my hair with part on side) and oh boy I love that. I never felt more sophisticated and adult and strong, even though I thought long hair would do this to me. I decided to let the fringe grow out eventually, because, as you said, it is annoying and demanding. Glad I tried it though.

Raynah Woolsey: Can you do a tutorial on this makeup look?

Mstance: I recently fried my shoulder length hair via a home perm! What is a good cut to easily grow out

Michelle Bucknam: Yes! Best haircuts that you have had would be great to see!

Lydia Theodorakoglou Tsesmetzi: It would be great if you did one for curly hair too ☺️

Julia Mameli: they aren't the worst if it's a biased opinion. and it is. many factors come into play especially face shape. but nonetheless this is entertaining content

Trin Murray: My face is so round I think a mullet wouldn't look good on me... This video was helpful because it helped me figure out why I hate my hair so much. It's not just because it's shoulder/collarbone length. It's partly the layers. I really do think they make it look even more damaged then it is. It is damaged and some of the layers weren't a choice. It might be time to get a bob again. Then try to grow it out again. I did like my bob! When I had one before now.

kkmjpkj: Watching all these ‘worst and best’ videos I realized Stella doesn’t seem to know other skin tones and hair textures exist

Ninna: I would do some illegal stuff to have such a long full Bob though... "thinning at the end". Girl what... And I prefer the natural look of "thinning at the end"

Carla McWhorter: I couldn’t agree more with number 4! I hated that haircut so much compared to the blunt bobs. Blunt bobs are way better

especialista em nada: I love my curly bangs, but couldn't agree more. They look good on my and are very face framing, but omg can they be annoying sometimes.

junie: Girl I LOVE that blue wig on you adore the style

The Sim Architect: So, if you intend to try every haircut does it also include Cher's buttock length? That would be very interesting but take many years. Maybe you can make a "long journey" series or something. Going from one extreme to another? Keep having fun no matter what you do.
