What'S up y'all, it's your girl, Samaya, also known as slay, my yeah or shaking. What'S cracking what's Poppy and today, I'm coming to you with a collab with better length, clippings and we're gon na, do a fall, natural hair, silk press because it's silk press season and then we're gon na add some clip-ins to give me some length and body. So, let's just jump right into this video um make sure you subscribe to my channel. We have made it to 10 okay, so I'm really excited about that um. But we'll talk about that more a little bit later, let's jump into this hair. So first things. First, I had to dye my hair jet black because it was looking a little old and now I'm using my little teeny, tiny cheese, silk infusion and Biosilk and don't get me wrong. Those little teeny, tiny bottles cost twenty dollars. Okay, I ain't buying no big bottle. Anyways um, so I'm gon na use a little bit of those products and the chi heat protectant to protect my hair. While I blow dry it um. While I was blow drying, I was trying to get it as straight as possible. So that way, when I went in with my flat iron, I didn't have to do too too too much work. So what I did was I sprayed each section with that Chi heat protectant and then I went in with the Biosilk and Qi infusion um, and then I twisted everything up to just let the product sit and kind of like penetrate my hair shaft. So I'm gon na shut up talking and let y'all keep watching and I'll come back right before I blow dry, my hair, I'm sorry, your life baby baby deny us so for the blow dry, I decided to use a technique. The tension method, where you use your paddle brush and get the roots really straight, and then you kind of like drag the blow dryer by the pedal brush. But honestly, if I'm being completely honest, I wish I would have used the comb attachment like. I don't know why we've gone away from the comb attachment, but that that's my best friend and the next time I straighten my hair I'll, definitely use that because I feel like that, gives my hair a lot straighter now mind you. I think I did get my hair pretty straight with the paddle brush, and you can see here like is going pretty well, but all these angles that I got to do with my arms. I don't want to do it just how my mama did it in the kitchen when she had that hot comb on the stove a lot of y'all. Don'T know nothing about that, but that calm attachment is everything, but this method is cool too. So I'm going to let y'all keep watching and you let me know in the comments which one you prefer: the paddle brush method, or are you like me and want to go old school with the comb attachment foreign foreign? So here I went ahead and sectioned my hair into four different sections, and then I took one of those four sections to focus on while straightening my hair um. So here I'm deciding between whether I want to use my beauty supply 10 flat iron versus my 100 Chi flat iron. Honestly, I did end up picking up that 100 chi. I don't know if I just wanted to use my money's worth or if it really made a difference, but to me it did. I think the chi titanium plates, like just made me, feel a lot better about putting heat on my hair as y'all know, I'm a curly girl to my core, so I was a little nervous as you can see um, but it was okay. I think it got things pretty straight. Of course I needed a trim and I'll. I do trim my hair in this video but um. I I think it was okay, all right, as you can see, I tested both of them. So you can. Let me know in the comments which one you prefer or if you have either I think the beauty supplies store brand was Tai Chi like t-y-c-h-e-e. I could be wrong. I'Ve had it for years, but yeah. So I started on 410 degrees because I just thought that was a lot, but that was not getting my hair like straight straight, so I had to bump it up to 435 um on the cheap, and I think I think I'm pretty good with that. Like my hair, if y'all want to see a straight to curly routine, let me know because it's been about three weeks now that I'm making this video and my hair is still straight. So I hope my girls come back baby. I think they will, though, because once you're putting in those products that heat protectant, that she's still confusion, um and you know you have a good base - a good blow - dry, etc, etc. Your curls are going to come back now. If you do this, every single week like how we used to do in 2014 and 2015 now I don't know about that, but you know I just had a haircut. My hair is pretty strong. My hair is pretty resilient. So that's why I felt comfortable enough to bump it up to 435. So that's what you see me doing here again, I'm gon na be quiet and let you watch the process um, it's pretty relaxing to me. Let me know what you think you I'm here foreign see. All I want you to do is thank you. Would that make you wan na change my heart, because I could see us walking on the beach tomorrow morning. Primer, listen, y'all feeling myself was not even the word. I was walking side to side like this for about 30 minutes. I can't even lie what Hang Time on 10 and I just cut my hair and it didn't look longer than it was before. What is that about, but yeah y'all this transformation was crazy. Like a few hours ago, I just had a fro and now look at me: hey hey, but, as you can see, I desperately needed a trim and honestly I needed to trim off way more than I did, but y'all know I'm scared of the scissors. I know y'all understand, I know you understand, but I did trim you up a little bit and I did help um with the body and not having so many frizzies um. Now that we're in the middle of the video y'all make sure y'all like this video. Okay, you've made it to the middle like this video. If you made it this far, please comment a tree emoji because I don't know I'm just feeling trees and I might get a tree tattoo soon. Anyways. Please comment a tree emoji, so I can know who's real, who really watched my videos all the way through anyways. Now I'm gon na go ahead and bump my hair y'all know as a black person, I'm just addicted to the bump, like I got ta bump the ends and honestly like in all seriousness, um when you wrap your hair after the bumps, it gives it so much Body when you like, wake up the next day, so um, that's what I that's what I did and that's my curly too straight routine. I just wrapped my hair and I wore it like this. For about a week a week and a half I mean it was a hit. You know I picked a week with good weather. I picked the week with low humidity. The fall is the perfect time for that. So that's why I chose it. As you can see, my hair looks pretty healthy. I did need to trim off a little bit more, but we good we good for right now, uh so yeah. I wear it like that for about a week and a half, and this is how it looked after a week and a half - and I think that's pretty good for me to be a afro girl, that's great so now to the part. You'Ve all been waiting for. Better length clip ins, okay, we about to give us some length we're about to give us some body and I'm super super super excited. So I went ahead and um sectioned off my hair, because I wanted to do some layers with these, because I know my leave out and like my hair is not as long as the clip in so I try to cut the clip in so I came up With this awesome method, where you tuck your hair, just add the clippings on in the order that you put it in when you're actually doing your hair and then cut it to match your head. Instead of cutting them like off your head and not really knowing exactly where the layers should be getting in, I decided I'm gon na just put them on top of my ponytail and then cut it, so it can match better to my personal layers. If that makes sense, um you'll see it better in the video, but that's that's literally what I did foreign so after I got my layers right. I went ahead and carefully took them out of my head and make sure I knew what order I had them in. I think that's super important um and then I kind of did like a. U part, wig style parting. So I did my. U part at the top and then I left out my side, edges and my back edges and I left out enough to the point where I could make a ponytail and the last time I had like clip-ins or tapings. I didn't leave out enough. So I really wanted to be able to do ponytails this time, and I think this was the perfect amount of leave out for me now. You can put a comb behind it to really test if you could see through it, but that's what I did now. I'M gon na go ahead and add the better length clippings. I want to thank better length for sponsoring this video y'all um they're, always super nice. I'Ve been working with them since what, since I started almost since I started influencing in like 2018, so they've always been an awesome supporter of me. So thank you all so much for sponsoring this video and, as you can see this hair blending baby. Honestly, though, if I'm being completely honest, I low-key wish I would have got the um kinky texture. This is going to be the light. Yaki uh 20 inch bundle and it's only 10 clippings. That'S all you need um. I didn't want anything like super thick or anything like that. That'S well, it was still thick, but not OD thick. You can see in the video um but yeah go ahead and use my coupon code um. It'S gon na be added right here on the screen, because I can't remember, as I'm talking and I'm gon na, add it in that description box and for a little bit of coins off. If you want to try it um. If you want - and I always say this - but I always forget so you'll have to remind me if you want - I can do like a six month or three month review after they get old, because I know some people had a lot of questions on my last. Better length collab, if they last and better length clippings like I still have my clip-ins from 2018. My curly clip-ins so definitely check them out foreign. So I really enjoyed how my hair was turning out um. So I went ahead and curled it to give me some body um, and I just I've always wanted. Like the sew-in look, and I feel like this gave it to me, it was my chance to shine. Finally, because I'm always doing a fro and mind you. I love my fro. Do not get me wrong, but this I felt like I had a bust down arrogant, say: ah, you know what I mean um. So this was super exciting. So you know I'm not the best curler. Because again, I don't do this often, but I think the better length hair was super forgiving and you know I didn't want to keep my hair in the heat too long. So that's why I'm going kind of fast with it um but yeah the curls lasted, and everything like that. I went ahead and did a side part added some edge control and I was out the door um make sure you follow me on Instagram at slay maya1. I always do like mini tutorials um of my longer tutorials. So if you're into that check it out and also follow, follow better length at better length um, they always have awesome ways to style different kinds of clip-ins, so um, I'm super excited about this hair. I think it looks so so so cute again, I love you want to try the kinky straight again. This is the light Yaki straight um, but let me know what you think. Let me know if you like this look. Let me know if you like the long hair um. Let me know if you've ever tried, clip-ins and if you've ever tried better length clippings. You know, let's have a chat in the comments. Um make sure you subscribe to my channel. My next goal is probably like what 20K, I can't believe I hit 10K, that's crazy, slay gang is getting so big and I just hit 30k on Instagram y'all. That is crazy to me, like so blessed so blessed and I'm so thankful for y'all. Thank you. So much for watching this video. Thank you for all your undying, never-ending and continued support, and I will catch you in the next video love. Y'All bye. Don'T you understand?
