The Real Glitch Doll! | Reina "Glitch" Crowne Show Hairstyle Recreation! @Rainbowhigh

Hi guys, how are you my name is Rodney, so for a few months now, ever since we found out that we were getting a glitch doll, I've gotten a few requests asking me to give her her chains and accessories and things back, because we knew that she Wasn'T going to come with them? Watch my other video to see how I styled my first glitch. I actually found out that her name is not really glitch like glitch is like a nickname more like a middle name. Reina Crown, I believe her name is, and I feel like an idiot, because I was calling her something else, though listen. I'Ve never heard anyone call her Reina on the show. So whatever anyways I went on Etsy and I got a few different things. I got them from the UK from this shop and they said that they were going to be here in like four weeks. I was thinking to myself. I don't know if I want to wait that long to do a glitch video, because she was my most anticipated and so that's why I got the first one and I restyled her. But initially I was going to do like the show replica version first, but then everything arrived early, and so here we are, I'm super excited and honestly she turned out better than even I expected. I was wondering for a month how I was gon na. Do it ever since, like people were, I don't know I I can't act like I wouldn't have done it. If people didn't ask me, but still um, I was curious to know but yeah it was pretty much last minute, but here we are. I hope that she looks the way you always hoped her to look um and I just realized I might be like the only one that has a version of this doll that looks like this right, we'll see we'll see if any of you guys decide to take On this project it was kind of difficult - I will say at times because dealing with chains, you know, gravity and chains and hair, it can get a little cumbersome and you just have to have patience. But honestly, it's very much worth it and I would definitely recommend it. She, like I said I like her a lot more than I thought I would and she's. Actually my first and only rainbow High doll that has like this high ponytail look. Everybody else has like half up half down or like pigtails or whatever she's the only one with that style. So yes, she's unique already in that way. So I'm starting off by getting my bearings and seeing her in show hairstyle from all angles. It was never really. My intention to do a one-to-one copy of the animated hair. So, of course I added some of my own embellishments. As you will see, the first thing that I'm doing is adding these little charm things I don't already sewing charms hold on. Let me look it up. Okay, so I'll read it verbatim, it says: cat Buckles at 6.5, millimeters miniature doll, shoe buckles doll belt. Uk seller mini doll overall buckles tri-glide slider. What? What is all of that? Okay? Well, it's for dolls! So, that's all you need to know um the way that I'm doing this. I know it can be kind of difficult to understand how I'm doing it by looking at it and honestly, I couldn't explain it verbally any better. However, um it's a really a play on physics, like you really have to understand how I don't know, I don't want to try to demean anybody or make it seem like someone is incapable of doing this, but it definitely took some thought to get it to like. Be on the right side and you know you got to do it backwards so that way, when you flip it up, I intentionally only used the first row of hair because I mean that's it's a ponytail style good thing. I did this on my own accord. I mean this. This wasn't even so accurate, I'm just adding these as, like, I said embellishments, so you don't, you know, have to do that. If you want this, look, I guess or if you want the show accurate, look, I'm just being a little extra at the moment. But, yes, I have to issue a warning. Now, there's going to be a lot of combing through her hair throughout this video. If you've watched my videos, you know that I not only enjoy doing that for the sake of like neatness purposes, but also because it's like really satisfying and it's therapeutic and it's fun. Like who doesn't want to come through thick black hair, so that was the last little detail that I'm gon na add before I actually put her hair up in the ponytail everything else. Afterwards, you can just apply it with. You know her hair already up like the clips and everything you don't have to do that prior and so here we go doing that. Obviously I left some hair out in the back. So that way I can wrap the hair with, and I realized that her hair actually isn't even wrapped in the show which is kind of odd, because the dog comes wrapped stocked. What what did I just say hold on so as always, I'm curious to know if you guys have any of the new Shadow High dolls and if you do, let me know which ones you have which one is your favorite, I'm always interested in, like the division Race, so to speak amongst the fans, because I know a lot of people like those original like series, one rainbow high, looks or whatever or even series two but rainbow high now is far different than what it was. Then I mean we're on to a whole new realm with Shadow high, so yeah, I'm really interested in knowing how people who like who collect the original ones feel about the newer ones. Me personally, I started off with series two. I fell in love with all of them and I love the new ones, I'm happy to see them evolve and I appreciate the evolution and they honestly look more realistic to me and I like that they have different races and or the different races have different features. They'Re, bigger noses the bigger lips or they have baby hairs, or they have um smaller eyes for the Asian characters. I think it's such a beautiful thing - and I spoke about this in my Jewel video about how we didn't have that 10 years ago. Well, we might have had it with Brad's, but not to this degree. You know they have inset eyes, it's just beautiful and the fact that this doll, in particular the whole Shadow High series 2 or the whole Shadow High Runway, whatever they're, called the new ones. From this year, the fact that they are all like 24 or 25 dollars is insane to me. I think that that's again a very beautiful thing, because I've always looked at these dolls as something that everyone should get to experience. Everyone should get to enjoy them and it's like, if you're a child, how can you convince your parents to buy you a 50 or a 40 doll? You know, so I'm happy to see this direction that they're going in I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go on that long about that, but, as you can see here, I'm adding the rubber band because I'm going to put a clip behind it or in front of it, I guess behind the ponytail. So when I flip it right here, you see that you see that volume see that bump. That'S exactly what I was going for for because that's how it is on the show, in fact, most of the rainbow High characters on the Animated Series have like super. Like voluminous hair and obviously we had to do that for glitch - I mean her last name - is Crown so she's clearly of a royal nature and, of course, adding got to be glues and imperative? I always like to use this. I don't know what other people use when they use chains, but that's what works for me and um again, a lot of combing, but I'm trying to see where exactly the chains are going to lay. So that way. I know where to put these threads, because what I'm doing now is sort of formulating a way to get these side chains to stay up just like how the top pieces are, and again I don't want them to fall down. Like I said, gravity is going to make them fall down, but here is the system that I decided to come up with it's not the most practical. I guess I mean you can still kind of see the string, but I'm tying them together. So that way they would hold each other, and you see how you know it's again, a physics thing, I'm not as good with explaining. So hopefully you understand what I did so the little piece that I got from Etsy. That has the writing on it and it says Bonita, which means beautiful in Spanish. It'S it ended up being too small, unfortunately, and I kind of figured because there are four nails, but I was hoping that they'd be more like three-dimensional, and you know whatever it's fine, because the clips were the perfect size, as you can see, like literally perfect made For glitch, I'm so thankful for this seller, I'm definitely gon na go to them again and the fact that they ship from the UK in a matter of like a week, is insane to me um and I'm just I couldn't be happier. So I would really recommend you guys to support that shop because they have what you need for these doors. Okay and look at her. Could my love for spotlight bring your greater love for Grace? So, of course, it's time to straighten her hair. I waited till her hair, dried, obviously um. I actually found out today that you can use the straightener up to like 340 degrees. I think it's 3 40.. It'S the next level from 300 and look at you get really beautiful straight results. Um on this right side of her head, I used a 340 in the uh. On the other side I used 300, so I had to go back in but, as you can see, the left side is a little more curled at the bottom, so yeah 340. I think, oh maybe I should check before recommending that yeah I'll check and I'll put like a little caption or whatever, and then I also made an attempt to cut her hair now. Some of you might know that for some reason, cutting doll hair. Just it puts me over the edge okay, something about it. Creeps me out. I think that this experience with glitch only solidified that even further it was super thick. I had to bring out the office scissors and those were going to be sufficient enough and when they finally got through, it ended up being uneven. And so, if I was forced to do a v-shape haircut, which you know it's kind of cute in the end. But come on now I didn't think that would be that difficult to cut through. I don't know why I thought regular hair shears were going to be sufficient enough, but they aren't so, if you're thinking about cutting your doll, hair with real hair scissors, no just use offices, you're good, so yeah I mean look it's not too bad. Now, though, right and so yeah that brings us to the end um. This is the finish for the I got her all dressed. Of course, look at that. It'S beautiful, and it actually reminds me with this haircut - reminds me of how Brad Styles hair moves like Saran hair, with, like the blunt cut at the end. I think I want to do this a lot more with rainbow High dolls, and I just know now that I have to go into it initially using office scissors rather than hair shears. So, yes, how do you guys feel about this look? Is this everything you want? I mean it's everything that I've wanted since I've seen her on the show, and I love the way that the results turned out. It'S not a complete one-to-one like I said, but I think that this is. It gets the job done and it really gives that look of glitch. This is her signature look and she feels like more of a premium doll when I hold her she's, actually heavier the chains move around. When I pick her up, it's just it's awesome and I hope that you guys attempt this at least and if you do send it to me on Instagram, I would love to see it um, but yeah.
