Easy Ponytail Styles For Locs :: Loc Styles :: No Retwist

So in today's video I'm gon na be showing you guys some quick Little ponytail styles. If you are like me, and you like to switch up your hairstyles with your Locs, then this one is definitely for you, so yeah. If you want to see how I went from this to this, then just keep watching all right, y'all. So long story short. I have not retwisted my hair since last year, um. I am going to be doing a retwist really soon, but I have some plans and I want my hair to be fresh for my upcoming plans and for the most part you guys, I haven't been doing much so my hair has just kind of just been. I haven't been doing much to it, but for the weekend I was like. I think I want a different style for this weekend, so I literally just came back from the beauty supply store and I ended up picking up two ponytails, so they're very similar they're, both curly textures one is a little more springy and curly and it's shorter and The other one is more of a wave kind of texture and it's longer I really wanted to try a kinky straight ponytail, but they didn't have any at my beauty supply so, depending on how this experiment goes. If it goes well, I may just get on Amazon and order me like a cheap, um, kinky straight ponytail, just to have all right y'all. So I'm gon na start by just spraying my hair down to give it a little more movement in the roots, because I haven't done anything to my hair all day and I'm just gon na oil. It today I'm using my African Pride black, castor miracle, hair and scalp ceiling oil, so I'm about to try to just put my hair in the smallest bun possible. So usually, when I slick like my Locs in a bun, I will use this aloe vera gel and I just usually purchased this off of Amazon. It'S the first botany Cosmetics, moisturizing soothing aloe vera gel, so I usually use this one just because um I feel like it's better for your hair. However, it doesn't give you a lot of hold, so this is the first time I'm gon na do this, but I also picked up just a little thing of Eco Styler gel I'ma. Try not to use too much of this, but I do just want to try to mold it and get it as slick as possible. So first I'm just going to start with some of the aloe vera gel like I usually do, and I'm just gon na smooth. This on my hair, as you guys can see my roots are really loose. This is why I thought this would be an easy style to do with the ponytail, because I figured by the time I lay it on down. You won't be able to see like my locks, foreign in the back, but let me just tuck those in I don't really care about the back too much, because once the ponytail Falls we shouldn't be able to see too much of that. So now I'm gon na go in with just a little bit of this Eco Styler gel. I haven't used this in years like literally years. Thank you. I'M also going in with this brush. It'S a really soft brush, so I'm just going to use that to kind of smooth it down all right. So now we about to put this in a bun, so I'm gon na just start twisting it tight as I can foreign so here's the bun. I think it's good, I did check the ponytail and it seems like it has enough space to where it'll fit around this. So hopefully I don't have to adjust this, but now I'm just gon na clean up just the base part a little bit, I'm applying the gel. I'M really just focusing on like where my hair, on my roots, where my hair is loose, I'm not rubbing it into my Locs. I want to make that clear, just really applying it just on the edges and then I'm gon na just go in with my style Factor Edge booster and I'm just going to do my edges and now I'm gon na just tie it down and mold it for A little bit all right, Joshua, I'm gon na. Let this sit and then I'll be back and show you guys how I put all right, you guys, so I ended up doing my makeup. Let my hair sit for about an hour so and now I'm gon na show you guys the ponytails. So here's the first ponytail it is a Samba curl and the brand is Harlem 125.. So this ponytail was about twenty dollars. It'S synthetic again! It'S the samba curl! So it has these really curly ringlets and I got it in the number four, as you guys can see, it's just a drawstring. It has this comb around the front and the actual like ponytail part, it's a lot of space, so this should be able to fit over my bun. Let'S take this off. Okay, my hair said pretty good, so this is how it looks without any manipulation, but I am gon na just separate these curls a little bit and make it a little more textured and Fuller foreign. I am getting a little shedding as I fluff it, but it's synthetic hair. You could see a difference a little bit already foreign. So here is the first ponytail. I think it looks super cute. It is big, but I feel like the fullness Works, especially because my bun underneath is big, so you don't have to do a lot of work. Trying to hide your locks. Um give you guys a 360. like if I lift it up, you probably could see my locks right there, but when it's down you can't see, I did have to trim it up um and it's still pretty defined, but over time this will get more and more Texture since it's synthetic hair, but yes, I think this is really cute. I like this y'all know. I love me a good ponytail anyway, so this is right up my alley. I didn't really stick the combs in my locks too much because I just didn't want to add any unnecessarily like manipulation and tension on my Locs. So I didn't really stick the Combs into the bun. I kind of just laid it flesh on there and then just pulled the string and it is secure. I also took a strip of hair and wrapped around the base, but this is what we have and then the second one is also a Samba curl, but the brand on this one is Venus yeah. This is Venus Dream Hair. I also got this one in a number four, so this one is a little longer and the curl pattern is a little different like it's more wavy. It looks Browner too, and it looks more synthetic um. So here's the inside, like it, looks like a lot, but I feel like when I try to whip it around to put on my my bun, I'm struggling, I'm gon na stretch it this one might be a no-go wait, and so this one okay now so I Got this one on, but I feel like it's not as secure as the first one is barely fitting um. Also, the this one is really shiny and the color is a little off, but it's on there, I'm gon na try to fluff this one a little bit too foreign pattern and everything, but I just feel like it would be a lot cuter if it was like More Yaki just more texture, it's really shiny um, and I know you could do like dry shampoo and all of that to get rid of the shine. But even then the texture on this one is just still very silky, even with teasing it. It'S still like it's workable for sure, but um. So here is the second ponytail you guys it's not bad like it's. Definitely it's still a look, but I think I just prefer the first one um more just because of like the texture and the color. I feel like it blends with my natural hair a lot better, but this one is still really cute too and similar to the other one. Since this is synthetic over time, it will get frizzier and a little Fuller and just add a little more texture but yeah. I just feel like it just doesn't blend as much as I would like it to, but it's still a look. It'S still a Vibe, I'm not mad at this when I, but yes, you guys that is going to be it for this video.
