Foreign of my knitting podcast, my name is Marlene and I'm a Knitter from Marburg Germany. Today, I'm going to talk about some of my finished objects, some work, some progress and some Acquisitions again. So this is a standard, podcast format. This week I am planning on doing something related to my stash, so kind of like a stash tour, showing you what I have in stash in maybe two three weeks time. I have a few days off work this month at the end of the month, so I was planning on filming an extra video. Then there's also going to be a small little giveaway in this video. In this episode to say, thank you for 2 500 of you guys deciding to subscribe to this channel um, I'm so grateful for everyone who is joining the channel for everyone, who's, interacting in the comments and helping each other out with like very um, clever tips and Tricks um about the craft that we are all loving and um, I'm knitting on one of my whips at the moment, but to start off this episode, I won't put it away and show you my first finished object, which again I know it's um. It'S ironic that I said in the last episode that I couldn't be wearing my newest fo every time, because I can't knit that fast - and here I am wearing my newest fo - that's only because this is a lento. I needed this taking part in the let's lento Cow by Amy, Palco and Rebecca claw and um yeah. So this I think I made in like two and a bit weeks. This was like the fastest knit I've ever done, so I knit it size three in this and contrary to the fact that I said that I had bang on gauge. I did measure my gauge again and I think I am off by like two rows, so I think this is supposed to have like a 15 by 21 gauge 15 stitches by 21. Rows is like supposed to be 10 by 10 centimeters and I think I got 15. So I got the Stitch gauge bang on, but then the the row Gauge by some. I don't even know why I only realized, while swatching for my next lento, because, like Amy Palco said you can't just knit one lento, it is not possible um. So by some I don't know weird facts. When I was measuring that gauge Swatch I've realized, I had 23 stitches on like 10 centimeters, like a 23 rows, and then I got like went back to this and measured my gauge on this, and it had the same gauge. So I don't know this fits really well, I um picked size three to have it like a to be a bit more size fitting most of my other knits until this point have been or more of like an oversized fit. I'Ve mostly knitted size. L, although like from my measurements, I'd be in between like a medium and large in most sizes, and so I knitted this with the four ply Merino wool cone. This was a 500 gram, cone, 500 gram, cone in mesco Brown by woolly knit, and you can see how much I've got left of this is actually mad. How little I used of both of the Yarns that I used. The other yarn that I used was the drops alpaca uni color um, which was in Lowden so Loden and musco brown. They, both together, made this beautiful moraled effect that you can see here. I'M also going to put in pictures um the wrist um. The sleeve length is actually kind of like a nice bracelet length, which is something that I haven't knitted before mostly I'm like I'm into like pretty long sleeves, although with like more chunky knits, although they're not chunky but like they're a bit more oversized. I like the length of the sleeve to fit that oversizedness and not like them, not being too short, although this was supposed to be like a three quarter length sleeves, I think so I already made them longer than the um pattern suggested, so it changed. It didn't change much after blocking. This was the first sweater where I took like exact, not the second. Actually, with my zipper sweater, I I did the same thing, so I've always been hugely into blocking, because my one of my two friends who taught me how to knit Continental she is like very Advanced she's, a very Advanced Knitter, and she taught me that blocking is Really important - and she taught me with my Marseille sweater - actually how to do it and how to like, lay it flat and like um, bring it into the into the shape that you wanted to be in and then like. Um put it down with the not only with the t-pins, but she also had those like bigger pins and like um yeah. She did it very professionally, and so I learned it from her how to do it really and um with a zipper sweater and this sweater. I did take measurements before and after blocking to like see how the Garment changed just because I'm very curious about these things and I'm also knitting on a Super Wash sweater at the moment, and I really don't want that to grow anymore. I am knitting in the large and I don't want it to grow anymore, so I'm going to talk about that in a minute, but um yeah. I just want to know and learn more about the fibers and how they act pretty much so I did take. I did write down down all of these informations and, if you want to know any more about any of the projects that I'm showing you maybe except for the accessories, I'm not sure again how I'm treating those if I'm going to put them into my Ravelry again. But if you want to know any more about this, you can have a look at my Ravelry I'm going to post. It would link it in the description box below as well and um yeah. I'M trying to be like very good with rivalry at the moment. Also, it does yeah I'm very much like it. I like, like I like to be organized, so I did also organize my my stash on there um just recently, which maybe I'm going to talk about, but like a bit more when I'm finished this. So if you have any more questions about this, like I said, I've swatched for my second lento already um - it's just it's just so nice to make it's a different, different construction from what I've done before it's more of like a sweatshirt Style. I did like a long tail cast on right, like really easy neck. I haven't done one of these next before I've always done like the fold it down and like sewed or knitted on um the cast on edge Style, but I actually quite like it. It'S quite tight to get over your head, but that also means it doesn't like poke out anywhere and yeah. So if you, if you have any more questions about this, feel free to to ask them so the second finished object, I don't actually have with me anymore. It was The Hitchhiker beanie by spectacular, stick um yeah. I gifted that one to my mom. I actually made the smaller size because I measured my head and my measurements were at like the larger strange, like at the larger ends of the small size range. But I like my beans to be like a more oversized fit and this one was really snug and because my mission this year was to like knit or find the perfect beanie for my mom. I took it with me when I was visiting her and I told her to like close her eyes and I put it over her head and just had a look if I liked it on her, and I was like immediately, she looks so cute in this. So I just gifted it to her for like no reason other than I love her um yeah, which was so nice, I'm going to link all the materials that I use for it all the yarn. So I don't know if I'm going to make the pattern again. I enjoyed making it. I did mess up by some reason. I don't even know why I did. I think, like I felt like I followed the instructions, but my um decreases looked really different from the decreases that were on the product pictures in the pattern. So I don't really know what happened there. It still looked fine and it looked like other decreases on other hat constructions, but I just didn't for some reason. I wasn't able to replicate the pattern exactly which brings me to my next fo, which is also a pattern by spectacular streak. It'S the crew headband, I'm going to hold it up like this. So there is, I feel like. There is a theme with spectacular streak and me: the patterns are actually really easy. I like how they look. I like the product pictures, which is obviously the reason why I thought to make them for this one. I used leftover yarn. This is knitting for Olive heavy Merino, which I had left over from my sweater number 23 and a ball of silky kid by crem coso wool, which I had left over from my sweater number 18.. So both of them were not broken into and I still have the left over with me now. I'M also going to put in the notes how much I used to each so, but this I think the my like toxic trade with knitting is that I don't think that I need to gauge swatch for small projects, which you guys be smarter than I am. I should have gauged swatched, because this is too tight for my head. I can try to put it on, but I don't know if it's going to look any I mean I wouldn't usually wear it with my head down with my head down with my hair down. This was actually something that I wanted to make because I am wearing my my hair up in like a ponytail um or like a knot all of the time, especially when working, because I don't want my like hair to fall into my face when I'm working, obviously Or when I haven't washed it um, because I don't I don't wanna, I don't want it to stick up like this, but I'm not going to put out my hair now. It is very tight around my head and I did block the heck out of it, but it just doesn't give any more and also I don't know the cast on edge is like like the cast off edge is like it was supposed to be. It'S like a tubular cast off. Um bind off, I'm sorry, but the cast on it. It'S just not correct. There is something went wrong there and I don't know what happened so. The the pattern calls for you to use three strands, but I had this. One ball pulled one strand from the middle of the ball and then the other one from the outside, and I was like how am I supposed to like get a third one, so I could have obviously try just to make it work, but I didn't want to. I didn't watch for it. This is kind of a bit sad because I would have loved to have a headband like this. I also made it a bit too narrow. I think I should have. That was just purely because it hurt quite a lot to make this. I don't know if it was just like the combination of the yarn and the needles um. I think I could have used like one needle size up for it to be more comfortable. Also, I did to um knitting on um. I'M sorry my words don't come easily to me today, um I I did it on magic loop and I don't know for what reason it's like this: the some kind of double knitting technique. I think, but the technique was actually hurting. My my wrist quite a lot. So I did want this to be finished and I wanted to use it and wear it, but yeah. I think I will wear it still. Maybe I will block it again and try to I could pull it a bit more or maybe. This is also going to be something that I'm giving away um, because apparently there are people in my family that have smaller heads than I do. I don't know yeah, I'm not sure if I said everything that I wanted to say about this, but this pattern I would definitely do again make again I like that. It'S not like um sewn up inside. So it's just like knitted in the round without having to, because I saw that petite Ned has brought or is bringing out a weekend headband and that one looks nice as well, but this pattern I already bought, so I think I'll stick with this I'll make it A bit longer I'll gauge Swatch before, but I just thought I'd be so like clever use up some of my scraps and make a beautiful headband and now I'm paying the price for not gauges watching and yeah. I also made a couple of mistakes uh, just because I was getting used to the pattern, but I think that's, okay, I'm just it's handmade, that's! Okay! Actually, I was saying that I should be doing a Sophie scarf for my friend's birthday, but I really don't want to like thinking about making a Sophie scarf is actually like making me feel things so good things I think I'm like over it. I I don't know. I have the yarn, I could do it, but I know she has a smaller head than I do and I know she's like an outdoorsy person as well. So maybe this needs to go to her, because it's in the same color that I would have like in the same colorway that I would have done the scarf and I could do the scarf for like Christmas, like get a bit more time, to make a Sophie Scarf again yeah, it's my next finished objects. Are these macaron mittens? They look a little bit like this. This was a test knit for my friend, Lydia, her um designer or Instagram, and YouTube name is Lydia, hababa and um. She made this pattern which she then had um three of her friends, including me um testnet, and the testnet was actually sponsored by Olivia and Oliver fibers, which obviously is a contributing factor to me saying. Yes, the other factor is she's. My friend, and the third factor is I wanted to have mittens for the longest time, because I do have those like fingerless mittens, but I wanted something for um winter time when it's like really cold. These are made with the story by Olivia and Oliver in the color Woodland and the sock yarn is called seashore. They are so nice. I made like a tiny amount of alterations to the pattern that I like more like. We gave her all of our feedback and I really enjoyed them. I think they they look so nice. I used less than half of both of them, so these are the colors. This is Woodland and seashore which, like I love to see how they turn out, like the small um, the small orange and pink specks and the overall, like really nice, beigey Browning color, I really enjoyed them. I will keep you I like up to date on when my friend will bring them out. Um, like I said, they're just a really nice Construction and I'm looking forward to like the last couple of really cool days here, where I can wear them and like actually have warm hands for a change. So the nice thing about this is that I can do something else with the rest of the yarn. So I could do some gloves as well. Her um pattern will include the glove and the Mitten option, so you can pick and choose which one you like more um and I could also do some socks or some other Scrappy projects. She also has a free pattern for some scrunchies, which I wanted to test out for some time and make some with that, and I think actually yeah. The color would also make a beautiful scrunchy as well. This is still a whip. I know this is taking longer than other sweaters that I made in the past, but this is also a fingering sweater and also I do think that I don't want this to end because of the yarn. This is my Monday sweater. This is now bound off at the end with turbida or Italian bind off. So I took this to the cinema once and made like I don't know. During one film I made like five centimeter progress on the body, which was actually really nice, so I have a few confessions to make about this, so I realized I was holding it out the wrong way around the last time I spoke about it and I had Actually sewn in the label front, which I don't know how that happened, but when I was able to put it on for the first time after finishing the body like I wanted to get that done. Take out the needles and now I'll start with the arms and realize everything that I had told you guys like the with the mistake that I made, I had to secure it again where I dropped the Stitch. It'S on the back side, which makes it even less dramatic, also all of the parts where I had interchanged um the hangs it's on the back side, the only thing so that is all good news right. The only thing that I would really like feedback from you guys like how do you do that if you've, knitted Raglan before like I said this was my this is my second it's my third Raglan and my first was the zipper sweater I've run into the problem Of having like a bit of unevenness at like two points right like at the High part of the chest like the neck, I think this is due to the short rows and I can show you on this um sweater even better, like it's not a big deal, But if there is a solution out there, I would love to know it. I don't know if you can see, but these here these stitches are a bit crooked and a bit like open, and I think I will be able to like maybe sew it in on the back side again and that's what I did with like a bigger one. Here I just sewed it in at the back side with some scrap yarn, but because I'm planning on casting on my um fourth Raglan sweater soon. I was just interested to hear if you guys have experienced this as well. I don't know why, but I'm like so out of breath today, even though, like I'm not moving, I'm just sitting down but yeah, if you guys have any experience with this, maybe like knitted in the back Loop or like twisting. The Stitch would like help it because I don't have the problem at the back side and I was wondering because actually you do the short rows in the back right, but with Raglan you, you come up in in the front with like the last of the ragdon Stitches, I think so yeah I think I'm not being very articulate today. I don't think I have the best like way of expressing what I'm thinking today, which just happens some days. That'S okay, but yeah. If you have any solutions for this, please let me know um. So this is taking its time, which is totally fine. I love taking time on this because I love the um, the yarn so much. This is honestly the like nicest most squishiest softest thing ever and although I can't wait to wear it, I'm fine with like knitting on it. I will be casting on my first sleeve today, picking up the stitches for that and um yeah, I'm just so happy with this. Now that I've realized the mistake is in the back, it's been secured, it's okay, I'm going to block it! It'S going to be fine! I just hope this doesn't like get any bigger massively in the wash, because comparing this to this, this is going to be a lot bigger. I think I've knitted like a medium in this and a large in this, and I think, ragdon constructions if they're like too oversized. I don't know if I like that, but I will see I will just be like very gentle when blocking it, and I think it's nice, it looks so nice. I love it yeah and I love that. I just just thought that the backside was the front when no, it wasn't I'm going to take a slip off my C honestly, some days you just know, while filming that there is not going to be a lot of editing that you need to do because you're, A calm you just know what you want to say and then other days I don't know what I'm like saying. Words don't come easily to me. I feel a bit flustered. I feel like I'm out of breath, although I'm sitting down so I need to chill. I did meditate this morning already, which I do need honestly. This is a great time to speak a bit more about it. I'Ve actually been very open about this on social media, although in the last couple of years there have been more people following me on Instagram than before before it was just a couple of people, you knew in real life and you knew on social media, and now It'S um more people that you don't know in free life, although I'm chatting to a lot of you guys - and I love it, but I'm still such a believer in being like really open about these things, because you need to like destigmatize them. But honestly, I've been struggling uh quite a lot with my mental health uh the last couple of weeks, actually the last couple of years or since I can remember but um, there are phases when it's just like very much um manageable for me and then there are Phases when my anxiety gets so crippling to like a point where I don't know how to act and um. Also my depressive like, when I get into a depressive episode, it's more difficult to for me to do like daily things, and this last episode has been like triggered by my work again, which makes you wonder I could work in the right field. Are you doing the thing that you should be doing, which is a whole whole another topic to talk about, and actually I've shared about this recently and I've gotten so many likes so like encouraging and also understanding messages from um people that are also working in Academia And really like making me feel like I'm not alone, with this being anxious to get that feedback and putting yourself out there and your work is hard, and I have this pre-condition, like my mental precondition in a way I do have anyway, so I'm prone to getting Those episodes and I'm like I've, been to therapy quite a lot of times. I did years of therapy which really helped me and I'm also taking antidepressants, which shouldn't be a huge deal um, but I'm still hesitant to say it on the internet but yeah. No, I'm I'm good, I'm! Okay! Really! It'S just been quite a tough couple of weeks with work specifically and um yeah, I'm. Actually. I still have another whip to show you guys. I just needed to get this off my chest and I think it's so important to be open about this. Actually, Caroline from Caroline's, and it's just in her last video talked about this as well, and it made me like it encouraged me to talk about it as well. Just because there's no like nothing to gain from keeping it a secret that you're struggling sometimes, and I think yeah, for people that also struggle with things like that. It'S so nice to hear someone openly talk about it and so I'd like, like I'm happy to be that person. I don't know if I'm going to leave this in the video, but just talking about it like immensely called me to calm me down. I don't know if you can tell I was like really tense before, which is a sign of me being anxious and I just feel very relaxed. So I know some of you have been saying that you, like my calm, energy and trust me, I'm usually like people that actually know me, wouldn't call me a calm person, I'm actually yeah. I love to be more calm and actually doing this calms me down a lot. I love knitting for that reason as well. So now I'm going to put away my tea. Thank you so much for listening to my TED Talk about my mental health and I hope, if you're struggling with something similar you're getting the help, you need there's no shame in going to a specialist to like a doctor to a psychiatrist to a psychologist, to whatever You need in that moment, and I hope you're sharing about it with people that love you, because honestly yeah I could like put in so many inspirational quotes like this too, shall pass or there's always like sun after rain. Although I like rain but yeah, never mind. Um moving on so I really appreciate other people talking and speaking up about it, and so I just wanted to also speak a bit about it on here and say that it always gets better literally, it always gets better. I'Ve had like so many really really really difficult moments where I didn't believe that it would get better again, but it always did and like being a person that I find it difficult to trust. Then I know now that it always does so moving on with my whips, okay, moving on with my whips, so you guys know about myself. Let it get, although I know it's pronounced something like sisleru suck Christmas suck um. I love this so much. These are like all of the colors that I love, there's orange and green and brown in here and beige um, and it did need a sister or brother and, like I said in my last video, I didn't have a major sock, knitting Mojo. The last couple of weeks actually after knitting socks around Christmas, but then I don't know why. But I I called myself um on. I told myself. I need to be on knitting second sock Duty, and this is where I cast on this second sock yesterday and I think I made quite a nice like amount of progress. Actually, this is my second song: I'm not going to talk about it anymore than that. I'M just going to finish this and the other second sock that I um the other first sock that I showed you so my two Christmas socks, I'm just going to try to finish them before spring. So my goal is to knit them either this month or the next month, so they're finished before April, maybe I'll I'll be able to finish them. This month, hopefully depends on all of the other things that I'm going to do. Which brings me to the point of me going a bit like Swatch crazy. I did a lot of swatches because I can't decide which project will be in my next cast on I've. Also, like that's that's like who I am as a Knitter, I'm like I'm going to take it slow. I have all of my sweater quantities in my stash, I'm going to knit them each after the the next I'm going to have like a small project going on the side, some socks, maybe a headband, maybe some mittens and I have like two sweater projects going on At the same time, so I always have like maybe some soccer net in the round and then some a bit more, like concentration like Focus heavy parts of another project, so two projects that aren't at like the same um progress points. But then I applied for a test net, I'm like I'm, going to take it slow, but also I'm applying to a test knit which does have like a tight schedule. Five weeks is enough time to make a sweater for me mostly, but this one has, I think, some new techniques in it. So just guys, please keep your fingers crossed for me, but I couldn't say no, it's another um test knit by Gregorian fibers who I tested before for her Jones sweater, and I really like the process of testing for her. She actually provided the yarn she had like a collaboration with chemical again this time she is getting the test net sponsored by isager or isagher, I'm going to say, isager yeah she's, getting the test net sponsored by isager, which I always wanted to try. It says we're not able to go to Denmark this spring, like we had planned, we're going to do it next year. I thought that would be like a best opportunity to try another one of her beautiful patterns get a few more experiences with test knitting and then also try some easy great yarn. So I picked my colors and it's going to be shipped from Denmark soon and then I'm going to test it. So I have this plan set. I want to finish my Monday sweater, if possible beforehand, so I'm going to concentrate on the sleeves from now on, but I do also have another like couple of plans and I did swatch for three of them just to make me help decide which one I'm going To cast on next as well, I was thinking so I'm going to show you the swatches and then we're going to talk about them and I might need some help from you guys. So these are my swatches. All of them are from my 2023 knitting plans, so they're not like swatches, where you just see. If you can get gauged, that's only like the the black one is just for get engaged. The other one was for trying out the technique of the festival, sweater and then the third one was to see which mohair I want to hold with my second lentil. So the black gate Swatch is for the cardigan number, seven by my favorite things knitwear. This is for the festival sweater by Petit knit, and this is for my second lento by Elena magazine, so I can't decide which mohair I want to hold with this. I tried out like a really like light like pure white one. Actually then, I tried out a more of like a beigey white color cream cream white color. Then I tried out a second white one, and then I tried holding the beige and the white one together, which I think makes it a bit too like squishy, when holding only a fingering and Lace weight, yarn and knitting. It was six centimeter, no six millimeter needles. It just feels weird - and I felt weird with this one as well, but because I did hold like a alpaca which wasn't lace. It was more like a two fingering weights together um, although the Wooly Nets is like a light fingering for sure it did like even at some point feel a bit more like a lace weight. It was like really just very delicate and, like I said, I'm not like extremely worse in all of these things. I'M just like trying to learn more learn more about it. It just yeah, so I haven't decided which one I'm going to choose, but I think I can decide that on my own, although if you do have any opinions like feel free to share them. But the one thing that I can't decide is which one I'm going to cast on next so knitting. The festival sweater with the like Bobble technique was um fun, but also really difficult. Like the knitting three through the back Loop is like no joke to get those bubbles. Although again there are those like great instruction videos on in Danish, with like English under titles which really helped, but I really like the like shade of all of those. I would like to have like a cardigan, and also this is made with seven millimeter needles, which would make this like a really quick project, probably, but also I want to have like my second lentil, while the lentil cow is still going on. Like I can't decide, I need you guys to help me. Please feel free to comment which one you would need next and I will maybe put up a poll on Instagram as well, but it was so fun to knit all of these swatches. I know you can probably see in the background or um whenever I've um shot like whenever I did a video up here. I haven't filmed anywhere else in my past videos. You probably also have seen that I'm I like to put up my swatches and I also like to keep them um. I haven't yet ripped out a spot. I don't know I might do it with this one, which is also going to be a thing. I'M going to talk about my Acquisitions because it's a fingering hand-dyed yarn, which I actually bought off Etsy and if I would like run low under sweater, I would take it, but especially this one I want it I want to have. I want to put on my on my board yeah. I think it just inspires me so much to look at my swatches and actually, like I said with this one. The gauge was like two rows too um long with this one. I just uh managed to like count two and a half centimeters, which is like a quarter of 10 centimeters. I thought and if that is correct and I'm like, I think it's like seven stitches um. I measured that and that's bang on and also it's the suggested yarn. So I don't think I'll have any problems with that and also with this um I haven't uh measured it, but I think it should be fine, but like knitting with black yarn is no joke. You guys I've never done it before, and I've just realized like last night knitting it like not even being able to count the rows. I'M like I need I need like special glasses with like lights, um like I'm on some kind of um mission, um. I'Ve actually seen like lights that you can put around your neck that make you like shine, light on your project while you're knitting it, which I think is a great idea um - might ask for it. For my birthday or something like that, I don't know it's yeah. Whatever so, please do feel free to, let me know which one you would cast on next. Like I said my priority is getting my Monday sweater finished uh getting those socks finished, maybe one gift knit like. I said. I need to see what I feel like um. So, moving on to my acquisitions, so a couple of weeks ago I listened to Inga from knitting Traditions podcast, which I really enjoy. I always watch your videos. I love them um and she talked about ordering more hair on cones, which I love the idea of, especially in like colors that you would need for like smaller projects as well and colors, that you would need um often, and she talked about them and recommended or Mentioned woolly yarn, which I then went on their website, and I ordered some cones of Surrey, alpaca and mohair, silk, which I think they look so nice. I mean they do have like a lavender colored cone, inside which I prefer mine to be the cardboards like the brownish color, but you can't really tell so. I have them up there on my shelf and I really like them, but then, like I got into swatching. I have another um. I have another sweater, the sweater number, I think, 15., so the cabled sweater by my favorite things Network that I want to make and I have bought a mohair for that or maybe it's a baby alpaca lace. So I do have another one. In like a very similar colorway to this, but I just wanted to see how they like how they knitted up, how they felt after blocking, and so I haven't made any decisions yet, but I just think they're so cute. I actually got another one, a really small one. You can see the label. This is how they arrived, and this is another like small one. You can see those. So this is 150 gram, and this is a 50 gram cone um, which I think is so nice. So these two of the um mohair silk and this one is the alpaca which I got with the intention of holding together with my next acquisition, which is there's the woolly chicken birch wood Merino blend Superwash, all rounder, which is such a nice like hand-dyed, colorway um. Like I said, the base is all around the Merino blend, which is 75 Merino and 25 nylon. It'S 400 meters for 100 grams, so bang on fingering four ply weight. I'Ve actually kick one of those up already because I wanted to gauge Swatch. So this is what it looks like in a cake. This is what it looks like in a hang and yeah, so I'm undecided of whether I wanted to hold with can I can I hold all of those um undecided of which one to hold it with, although I don't know why, but I don't know if I Love like the really like clean white like crisp white. Look with this. I think this is going to make it a bit more soft, although I don't want it to look like exactly like my my Monday, sweater, which it won't like. This has a bit more of like orangey, specks and brown and yeah. I think the Orange is like the most dominant color orange and brown, but yeah. So I have all of these and I haven't decided on like how to do it. But this is supposed to be my lento, which meant that I only had to get three of those uh fingering hangs, which is one of the perks of like doing or one of the advantages of the lento. The gate is actually what so many people love about it but yeah. I love these cones, I'm going to link the website where I got them. Um and the shipping was actually completely fine, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing like ordering anything from like Britain. So I also wanted to do a little giveaway for reaching 2 500 subscribers, which I thought would be like the next Milestone, uh that we reached with this Channel and, like I said I had bought this sock set by Olivia and Oliver I bought two of them. I got the DK and the normal weight sock set, and I wanted to give this to one of you guys, um. I actually am going to make um a sock set and Decay with this colorway, which I really like, and I think my boyfriend would also really like it. So maybe it's going to be a present, a sock knit for him, but with this I wanted to give this to one of you guys for saying thank you for supporting this channel and uh, because last time I loved reading, through all of your comments about what You like about the pre-Christmas period, the pre-Christmas time I wanted to know which one of your knitting plans for this year, you're most excited for so please make sure you're following the channel. You can also follow me on Instagram, but that's not a necessity. If you don't have Instagram, that's okay or if you don't want to follow me, that's also okay, but make sure you're following the channel and make sure to comment what the like. What is your knitting plan for this year? You'Re most excited about, and I'm going to give one of these elderflower and cotton sock said by Olivia and Oliver fibers to one of you guys. I hope you're also loving this colorway as much as I am so I wanted to talk a bit more about Ravelry um, which I just put in all of my stats. Not all of it. I have a few like random miscellaneous items, a few scraps that I haven't put in there and I actually don't know if I'm going to put all of my scraps in there. But I've updated it, and maybe I can like put it in here and I I love it so much, I'm actually thinking about um, maybe with a friend um, where, like we did a in person knitting circle like a meeting with other middles pretty recently um and I'M thinking about taking some of my yarn to like a yarn swap or something like that, because some of the like leftover Yarns from projects that I finished and I love like this one. I do have like two um balls of my alpaca left over. But I don't know if I'm like ever going to have a project where I would need that again. So I'm thinking about taking some of my yarn um, like all of the yarn that I have and I don't intend to use and maybe do like kind of a yarn swap. But I also saw on um on Ravelry that you could like sell or also swap yarn on there, which I've not done before, but maybe you guys have some experience with that. Please um feel free to comment and tell me about those and, if you've like also done your arms yarn swaps before I would be interested in hearing about that. I'M actually thinking about like also Carolina's, I'm talking about her so much uh this episode, but I really enjoy her video um about Oliver, yet like yarn stash and how she uses revelry. She has talked about this like Excel spreadsheet, that you can download when you've put in all of your stat, and I think my stash is like a quarter size of hers. I think um, which I don't like, there's no need to compare but um, I'm very like I'm really happy with my stash at the moment. I know there will be coming like some urine will be coming in this year, just from what I'm like planning on um, where I'm planning on traveling. If everything goes to plan, I will be going to a yarn Festival this year, which I'm so excited about already and uh. So there will be some yarn coming in as well, but I'm planning to knit so many projects from stash as well and I always buy with like a project in mind, um and yeah, I'm enjoying rivalry so much at the moment. Just basically what I wanted to say before I say goodbye, so I think that's everything for today's episode. Please comment which of the cast ons should be next by the swatches that I've shown you guys today. Please um subscribe. If you like the video and consider entering the giveaway, if you like, Olivia and Oliver's sock sets as much as I do and I'm going to be knitting on my sock again now, I think I'm going to hopefully be posting this on Sunday. So I wish you all a great new week: stay healthy, take care of yourselves and happy knitting, bye,

marlene knits: hey guys! some of you have been sending me messages to make me aware of the spamming messages that have been posted as answers to your comments! I‘m really sorry but this is a scam. I will draw a winner for the giveaway in 2,5 weeks time and announce it in my next video. I will always only contact the winner directly or ask the winner to contact me after announcing in my video, so please don’t fall for this!

Sarah Loves donuts: Marlene, I don’t know you aside from your channel. it is mind blowing how many people in the knitting community have struggles with their mental health. In fact, I do too. I’m confident that all of “us” are here for you. I want you to know that I feel like you are all of the things…brilliant, talented, articulate, driven, generous and beautiful. It’s hard not to be jealous of someone with all of these traits. But everyone can struggle with anxiety and depression despite appearing to be doing it all. Please keep us updated. We can relate and will support you. You are still all the things even if you do not get the feedback you hope from your academic pursuits. I struggled with this too. It is hard to manage the anxiety and/or potential disappointment

Margie Clow: Thank you for sharing about your mental health! I recently started anti-depressants and I feel like what you were describing is a lot like how I feel and it was just great to hear another person talking about it. Knitting has been my way of dealing with anxiety/depression as well and I love watching your videos while I knit

malchenswelt: Hi dear Marlene, thanks for these Episode, i‘m just at the beginning of my knitting career, so i‘m looking forward to knit a monday sweater by petiteknit.

Lizarduz: This was actually my first watch of your podcast ☺️ I love spending my evenings knitting and watching knitting podcasts on YouTube. My therapy when I'm feeling down. The gratification to see my project growing and then using it is so nice. This year I am trying to get into knitting more socks. But I do try to have a cardigan on my needles at the same time ❤️ the sock set looks gorgeous

Madison Church: Thank you for being open about these things! I’ve been having a hard time finding words recently and it has been making me embarassed because I have so many things to say but all of my words escape me. I know that sharing and talking helps me out, too. I hope you find a more peaceful week!

Aneila Baker: Hello, I really enjoyed your podcast this time (and every time)! I love your swatch wall! We are renovating a old house this year and it will be the first permanent place (at least for the foreseeable future) for me and my husband. I can’t wait to claim a room as a craft room and I’d love to have a swatch wall like yours! I am most excited to knit the Saven sweater by Meghan Babin, but also nervous because it‘ll be the most difficult pattern I’ve attempted yet. I’m knitting it for my Dad as a thank you for being such a help in our renovations! Congratulations on 2.5k subscribers!!

Hanna H.: Ooh, your Lento looks good! Thank you for being honest and open. I watched this video days ago and since then I've been thinking of what would be The Thing I'm most excited to knit this year. I have several projects planned but I think a knitted dress is the one I can't wait to get started right now - I'm going to knit a Maire dress. Another one that I want to start progress on is PetiteKnit's November Jacket. I haven't tried brioche knitting so that is something I definitely want to tackle this year.

Marieke Vuurens: Love your podcast! Going to watch them all I'm going to make sweaterno18 this year! My first off the shoulder construction.

littleberry247: This is the first episode I've watched and I really enjoyed it so I'll be going back and watching the previous ones. I don't make too many knitting plans as often I find whilst I'm knitting on one thing what I thought I'd do next changes but I can honestly say I'm always excited for the next thing I knit. In regards to stash on Ravelry I've sold and swapped items; If I mark something for sale I put the price I'd like for the item and then 'p&p at cost' that way I don't have to keep updating postage costs and then the person who's buying can decide what service they want. If you don't wnat to ship outside of Europe or your happy to ship worldwide then also put that in the notes. I find if people dont put the price they're looking for it puts me off asking, because if I don't want to pay that price I feel awkward saying no thanks and I've wasted their time.

Sonja: now I'm really looking forward to knitting a Lento too! Since the knitalong I've been thinking about knitting one and your sweater looks so pretty! Thanks for the nice episode :)

Angelique Spiteri: Congratulations I have taken up knitting again and am overwhelmed by so many exciting projects and yarns out there. I did all my knitting before we had internet so it’s amazing what content this has opened up. Knitting, crochet and jewellery making are my therapies of choice, it’s amazing how much it all helps ❤

the fruitfulhand: I’m excited to cast on the Mia sweater this year! Waiting on the yarn to arrive so I’m trying to cut down my wips pile! Although I just cast on my Festival Sweater.

kyara vanras: Thank you so much for this lovely episode! I'm really looking forward to knit some pair of socks this year, but also my first raglan sweater!

melissa: Congrats on 2.5K! I'm very excited to knit more socks this year <3

Fredrik Magnusson: Congratulations I’m looking forward to knit many things to my granddaughter Olivia // Carina

Ruth Van Straten: Thank you for sharing about your mental health. I've struggled all my life with depression and anxiety and I'm so grateful podcast eras are sharing their truth about their MH. Big hugs to you for being so brave xxx

Anna Kertész-F.: I am most excited right now about one of my testknits: the Chainmail slipover by Hannah from Herbgarden Knitwear. ☺️

Art & Stitches by TL: A Creative Podcast: I just started knitting and Im excited to cast on my first sweater project later this year at some point!

Julia Nth: Such a nice Episode. I really like your swatches in the background. Especially the little sweater My 2023 knitting goals are definitely sock knitting. Therefore I bought the 52 weeks of socks and casting a new pair right now. I am also looking forward to the crafting meeting I organize monthly with 3 of my friends. We want to cast on the same pattern and knit it all together in a nice cafe

Eleri: Hey, Marlene! Love your color vibe. This year I am planning to knit more blouses for everyday wear in similar color scheme to your usual palette.

Annye Bowles: I love the color of your lento! I am wanting to try stranded colorwork this year and plan on casting on the Kerr Sweater by Creabea

HappyCamper87: I’m most looking forward to knitting a cabled rustic sweater from some gorgeous Noro yarn I found on sale at my LYS. Also looking forward to a fluffy gorgeous oversized sweater from Drops silk alpaca held with Drops air!

Eva Heinen: Congrats on reaching 2,5 k, your channel is so lovely and inviting - I always look forward to your next episode. I'm most excited to cast on the Korshavn sweater and to make more socks this year

Gunita Laugale: Every year I knit a blanket and I’m excited to see what kind of I’ll come up with this year Thank you for sharing your life difficulties because there is none of us without at least one in our lives.

Simple Begiknits: Thank you for opening up about your struggles. It’s so hard to do despite so many of us dealing with similar mental health issues. The more we can talk about it, hopefully the easier it becomes. Knitting has been a new craft to me and has tremendously helped me with my anxiety. The project I’m most looking forward to making this year is the Meet Me At Midnight sweater by Espace Tricot. ❤

Brenda del Pilar: You are so great Marlene! Thank you so much for your openness regarding mental health. As someone who has been there, it’s a topic that I wish was talked about more. In terms of my knitting plans, I’m so excited to continue getting through my petite knit patterns including the Louvre sweater and the Monday sweater. Thank you again!

Kim Hoang: Congrats on 2.5k, I've been enjoying your podcasts! I'm most excited about clearing off my WIPS and organizing my stash by the end of this month!

Sage Mama Fiber podcast: Thank you for being so open and honest! I always love watching you and don't be afraid to be you, calm or not The project that excite me the most is my pink velvet inspired by Amy Palko's, a really colorful one that is really out of my usual color palette!

Carol Bergson: Thiss was my first visit to your you tube, and I found it really interesting. I am looking forward to finishing a round of family knits (adult children -4- and univeristy aged grandkids - also 4 of them). I have 1 1/2 sweaters to go. Then, summer shirts for 2 good friends, of which one is started already, and another Lento for myself. i still have 2 other sweaters in progress, one on hold until next fall, and sweater quantities for three more adult sweaters. No more yarn purchases for now, although my favorite mill, Holstgarn just came out with a new silk/alpaca/yak that I will absolutely try out this spring! Love longer vlogs, as they give me prime knitting time! Thank you!!!!

Emily Wall: I really enjoy listening to your podcasts. Thank you for sharing your creativity with us, and for being open and real about mental health. It’s refreshing and inspiring. This year I’m excited to make some more baby knits for my little ones. Especially the sweaters! They are so adorable

Natalie Ihle: Hi Marlene, thank you for this new and very real episode! I feel very validated when hearing other people talk about their mental health. The knitting plan I am most excited about is probably a Champagne Cardigan in Hand dyed Yarn from Knitbymoltrup (highly recommend)! Lots of love

Chasing the Look: I love the green color that your yarn combination made

Knittingbeanie: Hi Marlene! Thanks for being open about your mental health. I am looking forward to knit the Eclair sweater, and a dornie sweater ❤

Sarah Wolbach: I'm most excited to also cast on Sweater no. 15 with a mohair/cotton blend! Love your channel :)

Mette Bossow: Hi Marlene. I really enjoy your episodes and openess ❤ i am looking forward to Knitting socks for my son as he is very excited about them already. Also I will knit a fitted cardigan for myself hopefully - as this is really missing in my wardrobe best wishes Mette

Lesley Mc: Hi, loved your episode. So many plans for the year..especially excited to knit socks for all the family big and small (14 pairs) my intention is to explore heel types and colourwork socks.

Christina Ray: Congrats on the 2.5K! I have so many things I want to knit this year, mainly things for me for the first time…I’m struggling to choose. I’m also dealing with mental health issues. One of which is this anxiety that I never had issues with before but now have a lot of issues with. Knitting and crocheting is a calming thing that helps me focus my mind on something else and also fills the creative side that makes such a difference. If only I could get past my indecisiveness and feel more at ease.

Isabel Plett: Thank you for this lovely video! I really really enjoy all of your knitting podcastsI'd love to enter the giveaway: I am most excited about finishing my Monday sweater by petite knit and then cast on the children's version for my mini

Maci Carlson: Congrats on 2.5k, and thank you for sharing your story! That Olivia & Oliver sock set is just beautiful...I'm excited to knit more socks this year and get started on spring/summer garments!

Chasing the Look: Thank you for being so open about your mental health. I have a very similar story to you. I just recently felt courageous enough to share about it in a video but it did feel odd to put out there on the internet, although I am quite open about it in real life. The knitting community is wonderful and looking through these comments it is clear that you have so many wonderful people supporting you!

malwina: I've just received my Kalevala book and can't wait to throw on my needles the Suolaulu sweater with this amazing mythical and natural pattern. BUT I haven't bought my contrast color yet, so have to wait...

pages and purls: Seeing your finished Lento and hearing you talk about it really makes me want to cast one on, too! I totally understand your difficulty deciding between your next projects -- maybe another lento since the KAL is still happening? And thank you for sharing about your mental health, I agree that it's so important to see what others are struggling with too and to normalise this. For this year, I'm excited about basically everything since I'm a fairly new knitter. But I'm mainly excited to start my first pair of socks -- and for all the spring/summer knits. Can't wait for some cute shirts or camisoles to pair with my wardrobe for the warmer season.

MeBetiite: I really like your podcast’s, enjoy listening to your experience with knitting! This year I’m most excited about knitting my first raglan sweater for myself. Best wishes to you! ✨

CreatingHannah: Marlene! I am a fairly new knitter and love watching podcasts while knitting as I don’t have many fiber friends yet. Thank you for being such a lovely presence on the internet!! This year I am looking forward to so many things as I work towards my first full year of knitting! I literally just finished binding off my first sweater as I watched this video!!! I am super excited to learn more techniques and just knit more. I am knitting my first pair of socks rn and its quite slow going but I like having multiple projects going at once so I am also knitting a dr. Who scarf for my father-in-law :)

ThisCosyNest: Congrats on your great milestone! Love your videos and that you are so sincere and open about your health! Hopefully it gets better really soon! I´m really excited about pretty much everything, as I am a knitting designer and mostly knit my own garments. I guess the most excitement give me my summer plans, especially shorts combining with a Tshirt and a beach tunic that I´m planning to start knitting soon.

Michelle B: Thanks for another great video and for sharing your struggles. I’m excited to try knitting stripes and intend to make at least one of the petite knits striped sweaters. Loving your colour palette for all your knits, I’m inspired to try some neutrals now xx

zoeLl915: Love the vlogs as always! Thank you for not requiring an Instagram account for the giveaway (I don’t have one ). My knitting plans for this year is the knit down my stash and knit more for my niece and nephew! I loved the part of the video where you were discussing your mental health. It’s hard to see people in this day and age as social media can distort people’s views of life. I really appreciate you opening up and being vulnerable! It’s hard but it’s very meaningful and I wish you the best on your mental health journey!

INGRID: Another fun episode !! I am curently knitting on socks❤️ can you show us your yarn stash?

Morag Guthrie: Enjoying your shared love of knitting while I knit myself! Beautiful garments and accessories. Knitting is our solace. I am planning to quickly join the Lentokal as soon as I have my current wip off the needles. I am off to get some mohair very shortly as I am inspired by the lovely combinations I see. Take good care and happy knitting

Eileen La Porte: Congratulations on 2.5k subscribers! I love knitting socks for family and special friends but am on sweater knitting for family. Another great episode.

Mara Schröder: Hi Marlene! I love your podcast and your style and color choices. I'm actually not very excited about one particular project right now but I want to focus on really practical knits this year as I've uncovered some gaps in my wardrobe. Congratulations on 2.5k!!

LeventdeJ: Thank you for your sincerity and the passion you share into your videos ! don't change anything ! ❤ My plan for this year is the zipper sweater light witch is already a challenge !!

nachomama: Thank you for sharing your experience with mental health ❤️ I am most excited about the Ingrid sweater even though I don't even have the yarn yet

farmgirl_institches: I'm very proud of myself this year.i have got the big project done that I wanted to do, it was my first ***knit*** sweater I made the Malwina in January... Don't recommend an advanced pattern for a "ready to learn beginner" but I did it also loved the pattern

Jennifer Deutsch-Filippi: Hi Marlene, thank you for sharing. I loved your next Lento plan with the beige fluff yarn. My exciting next plan will be Top-twist Beanie from Ailbiona McLochlainn. Take care

Toupepe: I am really excited for the september sweater by petite knit. I am using La Bien Aimee yarn and KFO mohair. It's going to be so dreamy.

Abby Parke: This year I hope to knit my first sweater! Do you find that the alpaca lento stretches out over time?

Fanny: Just started knitting last spring. And since then I can't stop. I am mostly looking forward to just improving my skills in generell. Want to keep knitting socks and I would like to learn colourwork. Thank you for your videos :)

Johanna Leuze: I was so looking forward to a new episode! I love watching them while knitting :) My most exiciting knitting plan at the moment is the Korshavn Balaclava by Strikkekaffe because i love the basket weave pattern!

Wonder Watermelons! 🍉: I'm really excited this year to learn how to knit socks, so please consider me for your giveaway I also wanted to say "it's OK to not feel OK" I've battled with my own mental health over the years and I'm grateful for your honesty in sharing your own personal struggles it helps other

Costanza Dardano: Thank you for sharing your story My knitting plans are to knit some shawls and socks by using natural fibres. Patterns & wool ready

Danielle Creek: I will be excited to finish knitting my boyfriend's zipper sweater! So much knitting

Midtown Fiber: Hello! Love your podcast. I’m most excited about my new podcast and having an actual plan for knits and goals this year!

J Z: I’m going to have to go check out your ravelry! I too just started uploading my stash and using it more for project notes. The thing I’m most excited about is some of the patterns in my Sandnes Garn knitting book. I’m also going to play around more with combining yarns together to get a more complex fabric.

Hermione23p: Congratulations on 2.5k ! Very inspiring episode as always! I appreciate every single one who opens up about mental health, we don't have to same , we need to share our experiences and help each other. You are not alone, trust me! I am currently working on my Ingrid sweater, but I can't wait to finally cast on 2 projects, the first one is the Sweater No. 14 V-neck and the Gro Socks!

Siirin silmukat: Thank you for the inspiring episode, Marlene! I can relate to having depressive episodes and it was so lovely how you said that it always gets better. It's so true, even if it doesn't feel like it in that moment. I think we are so lucky we have knitting because it gives so much joy and comfort in everyday life. ❤ I'm most exited about knitting socks this year and my goal is to finish a pair each month for a box of 12 socks. Green is my favourite color and I love the yarn you are gifting. Congrats on 2.5k!

peer-reviewed: Another lovely episode! Also, I completely relate to the way that sometimes you just know editing is going to be a nightmare before you even start That’s me currently with my first ever knitting podcast that is just waiting to be edited. In terms of which one of my knitting plans I am most excited about, it might be a little cheaty because I’m nearly done already, but it was a plan for this year - just a quick one. It’s the cardigan I’m currently making to wear in the evening of my wedding in May when I inevitably get cold arms just sitting there in my wedding dress! It’ll be so special to have made something for it, and it’ll also be something I’ll get lots of use out of for future occasions Also, that is just the perfect sock set I think, such a gorgeous colour! I think it would make the most perfect socks for my dad, so I might have a look and see if I can find something similar for him if I don’t win

Helene Glenville: Thank you for another wonderful episode, I love your relaxed calm chats even when you might not feel that way, very inspiring! I’ve just finished a Monday sweater with Olivia and Oliver fibres and I love it, now I’m working on the Agnete cardigan which I am really enjoying learning so many new techniques

Christine Funk: Hi. So grateful for your sharing. Keeping it real. I always say knitting is cheaper than therapy. I am loving working on my scrappy projects.

Ciara O'Brien: Thanks for another great episode! I’m most looking forward to knitting the porcelain sweater this year

Adrianna Sinclair: Thanks for another lovely episode ☺️ I am so excited to finish knitting a blanket for my son. Our house gets quite cold in the winter and hopefully this will keep him cozy at night. I’ve been working on it lots while watching your videos ☺️

Lisa Bajc: Hi Marlene! Congrats on 2.5k - well deserved! One of my knitting plans is The Kumulus Tee by PetiteKnit with long sleeves in an handdyed yarn from Allgäu! Keep going with your work! I love watching your videos!

Martha Kimball: I have enjoyed your peaceful episodes and your beautiful projects! Congratulations on reaching 2.5k subscribers. I haven't been knitting any garments for myself for 8 months now as I'm expecting our fifth child and it's not as fun to knit for myself with a body that's changing sizes rapidly. Instead I've taken the time to knit a lot for my kids and to work on some accessories. So, I'm most looking forward to getting back to some sweater projects I had planned for myself. I think the soiree sweater may be first on my list!

Maria Wolf: Thank you for another episode I’m like you trying to be calm on my podcast but maybe not so calm in real life. I did write in my meditation journal last week that I wanted to be more calm and intent going into this year for my own mental health ❤️ So thank you for also letting us in on that I find it very hard to be open with those kinds of issues myself I hope to cast on sweaters for my older daughters this year, but atm I’m knitting to earn some money so hopefully times will change, as you say things always gets better. And congratulations on hitting 2500 I hope I get there too one day Hugs Maria

Nic Thornton: Thank you for sharing re: mental health stuff. Super important r/t stigma, but also - relatable, and a reminder that people who may seem like they have it all figured out online... are humans who struggle, too? I work in healthcare, am in therapy, and medicated, also. Can be incredibly isolating even though it's such a common experience, especially as of late. All to say - thank you. <3

Hannah Brutschin: a lovely video, as always!☀️ I am really looking forward to knitting a sweater no. 18, I loved the colour of the one you made and will be looking for a similar yarn combo

Sadie: Loved this episode!!! My goal for this year is to dive into garment knitting! I’ve been knitting for 2 years but have only cast on my first garment last month. You are inspiring me so much to try out some of the beautiful sweater patterns you’ve made!

Vilma Lopez: Congratulations on hitting another milestone!! Love your videos. I originally didn't think I would make sweaterno18 but after seeing your I was interested and I also have been on a swatching face and I came up with a gorgeous combination of yarn and I am so excited to do that later on in the springtime.

Elizabeth Ramirez: I love the colors you chose i am really into branching out of my usual colors like blues and purples. My plan is to start knitting garments this year. I have made a lot of hats and scarves and now I am looking for a good pattern for my drops alpaca silk so I hope and pray will turn out good

Samantha Carter: Congratulations! Thank you for sharing about your mental health. Knitting has helped me so much in my personal journey with anxiety. The project I’m most excited to start this year is a Marseille sweater in pinks! I’m about to have a baby so I’m excited to have a slow stockinette project on the needles for maternity leave. Can’t wait to keep watching your knitting plans!❤

Lieke van Beek: I’m always looking forward to your new episodes, and seeing what you’ve been knitting on. Thank you for being someone I can knit along with (or so it feels). Very much looking forward to knitting on the Snowdrift mittens from Wool & Pine.. and anything new and exiting that will undoubtedly pop up throughout the year.

Sophia Meyer: Congrats on 2.5k! And thank you for your transparency on this channel ❤ I am excited to be working my way through my ravelry queue, but am most eagerly awaiting casting on a light garment with a beautiful new mohair I just bought (haven’t decided on the pattern but I have a few characteristics in mind)!

Elisabeth Bergmann: I just loooooove your Lento! This color looks so amazing on you! And I just wanted to say how much I love watching your Podcast - probably my favorite one on all of YouTube❤ This year I‘m probably most excited about knitting my Fruity Sweater by Hipknitshop because I know how much joy it‘s gonna give me. But I‘m also really looking forward to hopefully making a Montmartre Sweater by WitreDesign this year, I‘ll just have to find the perfect color combo

mmetamtam: Your lento looks so great and now I want to cast on one as well ❤. I am excited to cast on a dahlia cardigan. Never did something like that but it looks so cute ❤

Ellie Dario: Love this episode! I’m most excited to see how many garments i make this year! Currently knitting my first sweater and i absolutely love the process and I can’t wait to wear something I created! Your message about mental health was so needed, thank you for sharing.

mima mona: Thank you so much for beeing that honest Marlene! I wish you all the best and please be proud of you! You are making beautiful things! Also love the colours you choose

CSBee: 2500 subscribers, congratulations ! I’ll knit a project by Isabell Kraemer, may be the Don’t Ask, that will be my highlight of the year. Great video.

Eloise Spence: Congratulations on reaching over 2,500 subscribers✨. I am so excited about my Misurina sweater by Caitlin Hunter. It's my second attempt. This was my first colour work pattern and I did the colour work too tight. It has sat for one year before I finally plucked up the strength to rip out the whole sweater and I have cast it on again. Thank you for a very honest podcast

Vivi Pan: Congratulations! I have really been enjoying your content! I’m looking forward to making the October Sweater by Petiteknit in Isager Eco Soft yarn

Brianna Dowler: I absolutely love ur knits and videos ❤️ I am most looking forward to knitting the Maplewood sweater by Fiona Alice this year :)

Tales from the White Cottage: What beautiful yarn!! I especially like the one you chose for your second Lento! Congrats on 2.5 k I am really excited to try out some colorwork sweaters after my first attempt didn't go well Happy knitting!!

Karen Doherty: For the first time I have made a list of what I hope to knit in 2023. What I am most looking forward to knitting this year is…finally finishing my The Twigs sweater. I took it out of the project bag, I only have the sleeves to do..I began this project in 2017!!! Other than that I hope to knit an Afterparty and a Talvinen sweater.

V Souliki: Lovely episode! This year, I'm excited to knit Nord Pullover by Hannerimmen :)

Katarzyna Besztak: Congrats of getting 2.5k I like knitting and listening to you, you have very calm voice Marlene My most exciting project for this year is to knit a dress I couldn't find the perfect design so I designed it myself. And it will be a 'scrappy' dress, made of all of my one-skeins. So actually this beautifull Olivia&Oliver yarn would match very well

Goose.On.The.Loose.Designs: Hi Marlene! Recent subscriber but I’m hooked baby! You have such a warm and inviting personality. Thanks for sharing your mental health struggles. Sometimes it can be hard to remember most of the population struggles with mental health! My knitting goal I’m most excited for is completing my first test knit!

Taylor Kwok: I'm most excited to try cables for the first time! I'm planning to start the Arctic Light Sweater by Kutovakika soon, just as soon as my yarn arrives :) I loved this episode and love your Lento!

Danielle Hawkins: One of may goals is to use the odd or random skeins I have in my stash for smaller accessory knits either for myself or as gifts. I also really want to challenge myself to do more sweater knitting, I find it a bit intimidating and difficult to achieve a good fit which is why I've avoided sweaters for a while but I think the more sweaters I knit, the better I will get and the more I'll learn (hopefully without getting discouraged)

Ximena: Lovely episode as always! Thank you for speaking up about mental health and make us feel less alone ❤ As for my knitting plans this year, i'm most excited to knit the Port Sweater by Ozetta in KFO yarn in Mushroom Rose that my husband gave me as a Christmas present. But before I start this project, I need to finish knitting my Oslo and Louvre Sweaters, otherwise I feel I'll never have an FO

Jenny Mooneyham: Looking forward to knitting more socks! I am also knitting a shawl that will be so cozy
