What'S up y'all, it's your okay and I'm back with another video. Thank you guys so much for tuning in. If you are new here what's up, my name is Kai and you are tuning in to my YouTube channel. It must be Kai, definitely go ahead and hit that like comment and subscribe button before we get right into this video and follow me on Instagram, and it must be Kai before we get right into this hairstyle honey that came out bomb.com. If you ready to see how I got this just stay tuned, what's up y'all, so we're just gon na go ahead and start off with this hairstyle I'm starting off with detangled hair. I did detangle with Aunt Jackie's quench leave-in conditioner, y'all notice, my jam, that's my go-to, so all I did was detangle with that and we're going to be using the last of my wetline extreme and my brand new jar of my Wetland extreme gel. This is literally the only product that we're going to be going in with so we're just gon na go ahead and get right into it. I'M gon na be globbing. This gel on, I feel like the key to this style, was sectioning gel and brushing literally just taking your time. Don'T rush through this part you're going to want to make sure that you're brushing that gel all the way down all the way through so don't be afraid to really apply that gel. Make sure that you're working in sections - because I know some people always ask me, how do I get my sleep, bun Sleek, ponytails, everything so sleek and to lay flat I'm telling y'all the key is section section off your hair and it's just gon na make your Life way easier, and it even takes less time when you section off your hair in the past, when I did try to Slick my hair down without sectioning it, it did take a while. But since I started sectioning my hair, it's less that I have to deal with my hair is entangled when it's time to take the hairstyle out either. So all I'm going to be doing is taking Globs and Globs of this gel look, your girl is just being very, very generous and, as I brush out, I'm gon na brush it all the way down to the shaft. Just so that my hair can be completely smoothed out as much as possible, so I don't have to worry about any flyaways. I need a neat tight, bun. Okay, I need a neat type ponytail. So that's all I'm doing right now. Y'All have seen me do this. A thousand a thousand times me slicking down my hair, so I'm gon na just let y'all watch and when it's time for me to do something new I'ma come back and give you all the tea foreign all right. Oh yeah, yeah something we want to foreign. My future with me, foreign, so now that we have our ponytail in all I'm going to do, is just literally so okay, so here's my ponytail y'all see how long my hair is and how much hair I have so in order for me to be able to Put the pony to wrap the tracks around my ponytail to make sure that it's easy as possible, while protecting my hair, all I'm going to do is braid this ponytail down and the best part about braiding. My ponytail down is that if I don't want to wear the long, the super long curly ponytail tomorrow or the next day, my hair is already done. It'S not like I'm taking my entire style out, I'm literally just gon na take the hair off and I'll. Just have a braided Sleek ponytail, so all I'm doing here is I was just fingering finger, detangling, just getting some extra Kinks out of my hair, just in case there were any left from just me: slicking it down and putting it back into this ponytail. So now I'm just going to add wetline extreme to each section of my hair. I'Ve separated it into three sections because I am going to be doing a braid, and so now all I'm doing is adding wetline extreme to each section individually and I'm just going to add a generous amount and I'm going to be raking it through and smoothing it Down and just making sure that section is completely glued together, because this makes it easy but kind of hard to braid my hair into that ponytail. What it's doing is it's making my hair smooth enough and making it lay down enough, because my hands are kind of small. It'S just making it easier for me to grab it all to be able to braid it opposed to it just being loose and flying around and all that stuff. This is going to help me be able to make a Sleek smooth braid. So even after I take the ponytail out, I just have this really pretty braid at the back. So that's the whole point of this. It does make it hard, though, because of the amount of gel. That'S on my hair, it's a little hard for me to grip. My hair, in order to create that braid, that I'm gon na wrap the tracks around and I did at one point think about adding like a stocking or maybe some paper around it before I put the hair on, but I feel like the way I did it. My hair was protected. I didn't have to worry about the curly hair matting to my curly hair because believe it or not, that has happened in the past before so I just never want to risk it when it comes to adding synthetic hair to my hair, just trying to make sure That I don't get any matting any tangling with my own hair, just to make it easier to so that if I want to cut it out later on, I could just grab some scissors and cut it right out and it's gon na be no problem. So as of right now, I'm just going to braid all of this hair into a ponytail. It does not have to be perfect by far it doesn't have to be perfect, it just got ta be cute and enough, just in case I want to take the curly hair out. I could just wear my braid. I have worn this hairstyle by itself before, where my hair is just Sleek back and it's just a braid. I personally love it. It keeps my hair out of my face for the week. It just makes things just easier. Okay, so that's all I'm doing right here, because my some pieces are shorter than others. I do have to share the hair. That'S why it's just taking me a minute to braid this down, but y'all know how this go when you braiding hair feed it in share the pieces and braid it all the way down, I'm going to braid it down to the very very tip, and then I'm Just going to put a ponytail holder on it to further secure it, so that I don't have to worry about it, unraveling or anything like that, but because the amount of gel that I use, I usually don't have to worry about it unraveling. But who doesn't like a little bit of extra security foreign? So here's my parade - and It ultimately does stay like that, and this is how I'll probably wear my hair throughout the week after I decide to take the the curly hair out. But I'm just about to do my edges and I'll be right. Back, hey, I'm back already dang Kai! That was quick. So these are my edges, real slick, real cute, okay, we're touched up real nice y'all, see not one hair is out of place. I'M just gon na take a ton of mousse y'all know this is my favorite favorite part of doing any hairstyle is taking mousse all over it and just slicking down those flyaways and all that good stuff. Just making sure every piece of hair is in place and I just like putting mousse on my hair, to be honest, like I absolutely love applying mousse to my hair, I'm gon na apply it all over my head and to my baby hairs as well, and then I'Ll just tie my hair down foreign foreign, my hair down with satin scarves. I am tying it very strategically. I am going to take an edge scarf and just lay it on the top of my edges, because I don't know about y'all, but sometimes I do have to deal with the larger scarves sliding back and when it slides back it. Take my baby hair with it, and I just don't be wanting that to happen. So I'm just using a edge scarf and then I'm actually taking a larger scarf over the top of the edge scarf and to cover the rest of the back of my head. And I'm just gon na like do this little weaving thing over my ponytail, because what this is going to do is this is going to allow it to dry smooth so that it won't frizz. So I'm literally just bonding it down to make sure that it's as smooth as possible, I was going to sit in the dryer, but my hooded dryer broke so I'll, be back when they dry a little bit more. What'S up, I'm back your girl is looking real cute. Okay, I just did my nails. My makeup is done. Look I do all this at home. Okay, okay! I am look. I'M a I'm a quadruple threat! Okay, so I did my nails I did my toes. I did my own hair and I did my own makeup baby anyway, so this is the hair that I got from the beauty supply store. Okay, this is supposed to be 30 inch, Kinky Curly, Jerry curl, hair um. I felt like it looked just like mine. I did get it in a one. These I think, were about twelve dollars, a pack um, I really wasn't being too picky, or anything like that. All I was looking at was the curl pattern, because I know what my hair looked like when it's slicked down and I wanted the hair to match as much as possible because it's just not cute when you have your, you see all them waves in my head. It'S not cute. If my hair is wavy like that, and then I got a water wave ponytail, I'm so sorry y'all, but that has just never been cute to me. Okay, if you have 3C 4A hair and when you slick it down it's 3c4 A4 Bay. 4B4C. That ponytail, that you put on your hair, needs to be the same consistency. Okay, so that's just all I have to say, especially when it comes to doing your hair like this, without using any heat, so I'm just gon na tie the ponytail holder around the end. I really don't know what I'm doing at this point, but I watched enough videos and I've seen enough techniques of how to get this thing in my hair and wrap it around that imma just make it do what it do and it's gon na be cute in The end okay, so, like I said this is my first time ever doing this ever trying this. So I really wanted it to come out to you because baby the summer is coming up and I just need to add a new hairstyle to my roster, just in case okay, because I really even started doing like the same bit of stuff a little bit. But anyway, all I'm doing now is wrapping the hair from the bottom. All the way up, I had a dream of wrapping one track: the track is doubled. I didn't uh unfold it completely because I just felt like it was unnecessary to unfold the entire thing completely. So I'm just it's doubled and I'm just wrapping it up my hair and, as I was doing it, I was trying to make it go up my hair, but it really just wasn't moving that much. I was like oh okay, but I was just doing the best that I could at this point, and so after I wrap it up my ponytail, it's really only gon na go Midway. I thought the track was gon na be way longer. It probably is if I would have undoubled it, but yeah, it's okay, it's okay! Okay! So I have it, and this is how long it is. I actually end up cutting the whole, like I end up, cutting it hacking it off. So I had a plan of putting a bobby pin in there, but tell me why your girl ain't got no bobby pins, like I am a black woman and I really did not have any bobby pins laying around anywhere. I checked all the bottom of my purses. I checked the bottom of my hair jar, the bottom of my uh product basket and everything and I could not find out one bobby pin. I was totally ashamed and I was embarrassed at myself for not even having a bobby pin laying around on the floor or in the bottom of any of my bags. But anyway, I'm just gon na take this uh ponytail holder around this ponytail, just securing it. As best as I can. I felt like I'm going to a wedding ain't. Nobody gon na be pulling my ponytail, like we don't get down like that. Okay, so I just felt like it needed to be secure, but not it didn't have to go dumb. Okay, like it didn't, have to go ham like as far as being secured, because the wind ain't blowing that hard like it'll, be okay. So now I'm just doing a different technique and I'm going to start at the top of my ponytail because I was like the hair is Curly enough to where. If there are imperfections, you won't see them, because the hair is so thick and curly and it all matches it's all jet black. Just like my hair - and I just was like this - we just gon na try something else. So I just took a strand of the hair and I just wrapped it around the base of my own ponytail, and so that seemed pretty secure to me, and so now I'm just going to the track is still doubled and I'm just gon na wrap it around. The base of my ponytail constantly I'm not going to take it down, I'm not going to take it up and I'm thinking after trying both of these techniques in one hairstyle. I think I will do this technique from now on, where I just wrap the track around the base of my ponytail and not worry about doing around the tip of my ponytail and taking it up. I feel like that's just a little bit harder. I don't know if it's because of the type of hair I used or what, but I just wasn't a fan of the first technique that I used, so I will be doing this technique from now on. So all I'm doing is wrapping the tracks around the base of my ponytail and then, when I get to the end, I'm going to take that in Strand and wrap it around the base of my ponytail some more because the ponytail was super duper secure because after Wrapping it around so many times it's not going anywhere like I wrap the Strand around in the beginning, wrapped all the tracks around and then wrapped another other strand around it once I got it all in and got it all up, so I wasn't worried about that. So that's all I'm doing here. I was so happy to share this experience with y'all, because I was very excited to do this ponytail for me, and my boyfriend are going to one of his friends Weddings, But I was very excited to do this ponytail um, just because I wanted to try something New and because y'all know the last ponytail that I tried to do was an ultimate fail. Okay, so this was super duper fun to do and, as you can see, I got to the end. So I'm just going to take this piece and literally wrap it around the base. I did feel like because the hair was not straight and the hair was not um a deep wave or anything like that. I really did not have to conceal the base that much on other videos that I've seen they really had to work hard to try to conceal the base and try to wrap the hair around it, so that it can be like a smooth transition from your hair. To the ponytail, but when it comes to curly hair, you really don't even have to do all that and I feel like that. Just makes it so much easier because I, by the time I finish brushing this out, you couldn't see all up in there anyway and if anybody could, why is you clocking me like? That'S just how I be feeling okay excuse me, but so we are coming to a in um. All I'm gon na do now is manipulate the ponytail to make it look real pretty I don't got hair in my face anyway. As of right now, I'm feeling it. Okay, it's just too long. So of course you know I get off camera and I go in the bathroom and I mess with it and then I come back and mess with it. Some more on camera, but all I did off camera was um. I actually took a brush like the same brush that I slipped my hair down with and I actually brushed the ponytail because right here I am finger, raking it and trying to separate it, because I didn't want it to get too big, but I'm not even gon Na lie to y'all. I really do I really really like this hair, because it didn't get big fast. It didn't frizz fast or anything like that. It was very easy going and I was just able to take a brush and, as you can see the difference now, it's fluffier. It looks like my ponytail, but just 30 inches longer. Okay, so also too, because I wrapped the bottom and then wrapped the top um. The ponytail was doing this weird layer thing like it was like two different Stacks, so all I did was take some scissors like I was a real hair stylist and I just layered the ponytail, because after I hacked off the bottom, I did have to make it Look more natural, so I'm literally just adding layers and shearing through this ponytail, because at this point I already know the ponytail is so big and so luscious that I'm not gon na wear this to sleep and I'm not gon na wear it multiple days, I'm literally Just gon na wear it to the wedding, and then I decided I'm gon na cut it out of my hair because I just went through so many things and just did so much stuff to it. I was like I'm not gon na be able to reuse this because I manipulated it too much so we're just gon na take an L on this, but it's okay. At least I know how to do the hairstyle for next time and all summer long, because y'all definitely gon na see this again so, like I said, I'm just cutting layers in it and overall it came out it beautifully. I'M so happy with this. I did not have to use any heat. I didn't have to use any glue. I did not have to damage my hair in any type of way. This style is so gorgeous just for the summer shoe all year round. It was super easy to do. Maybe one day I'll do it correctly or smaller to where I could sleep in it, but y'all know your girl got ta, have 30 inches of ponytail down her back like if my hair ain't touching the top of my butt like what is it even doing like What is it doing? What'S the purpose? Okay, so this is the finished look. I just want to thank you guys, so so so much for tuning in to this video definitely do not forget to like comment and subscribe. Let me know what y'all think in the comments. Let me know if you want to try this hairstyle out too, as you can see at the base, it is perfectly Blended and, like I said, if you clocking me back up okay, but it does not look bad at all. The hair literally looks like it's mine. The curl pattern matches so closely to the tee that it really had me fooled for a second. I absolutely love it. I'M gon na do it a thousand times again, but I'm gon na just try different methods, but thank you guys for tuning in and I will see y'all in the next video P.S. I did end up cutting this out of my hair. After we came in at midnight, so I'll see y'all in the next video bye foreign

Remika Williams: I freakin LOVE this look Ky❤️❤️❤️ I'm definitely trying this‼️‼️ I'm old school and been sleeking my hair for years and it's a style that is timeless and for almost any occasion but why didn't I think to add me a little hair to make it fabulous
