All right, you guys, we need to have a discussion today, because sorry, I'm gon na be walking around I'm kind of filming things a little bit differently. So hey everyone! It'S Joel! Welcome back to my channel! So for today's video I wanted to do kind of a more serious chit chat. If you've been on my channel. You guys know I've been on my natural hair Journey for about five years now, that'll be coming up in April, and it has been the most amazing thing. I mean even just YouTube wise. You know uploading to my channel and being able to share it with you guys and seeing how it has helped others, I think that's Irreplaceable, but I have been seeing - and I think everyone you know now sees that there has been a massive Resurgence in hair relaxers To me, I'm like why: why would you go back? That'S not fair! Personally, I have no interest. I'M telling you right now on on camera on record, I have no interest in going back to straight hair. I have no interest in chemical relaxers so with that, let's let's sit and have a chat, real, quick, you guys, hi, I'm Joel welcome back to my channel uh if you're new here I make hair content natural hair content, specifically for those with afro and Kiki textured Hair, I think that I have greatly underestimated the effects of European beauty standards Within the black community natural hair community. I say this because of the new Resurgence in women using chemical relaxers to straighten their hair. Again, I have, I can't even count the number of videos I have seen of women with natural hair, reverting back to these dangerous hair practices and I say dangerous because of yes, the chemicals in relaxers are not safe, they're unhealthy. It'S been proven time and time and time and time again that these things are not healthy and lead to other health issues over a long period of time, and I know that natural hair oddly is not for everyone. I know it sounds weird to say that, because it's like it grows out of your head, how could it not be for you? I know someone's gon na bring up. Some people want to be blonde. You know what's the problem with them when they change their hair. For me, they're not changing the texture of their hair they're, just changing the color, that's an argument. For another day. I have had alarm Bells going off over the last couple months and you guys know that I had talked about wanting to change my content from just natural hair to introducing more home and lifestyle Vlogs. I really really thought that that's what I was going to do and I filmed a few videos. I'Ve been filming me trying to like update my cabinets and it's just taking 500 years and for some reason it just didn't feel right. I didn't feel right. Something in me told me that this was not the content that I'm supposed to be filming, even though I wanted to something has been telling me that this is not the content that I should be sharing with the world. I had something more important and it brought me back to the main path that I was on, which was sharing natural hair content and how to care for my hair, using me as an example to show others that this is a maintainable. You know Hair Choice, natural hair is not hard, it does not have to be, and I think that it is important for me to really come back to that space. So with that said, I am officially making my natural hair come back to YouTube. You'Re welcome! I'M just kidding you know, I really think the natural hair content was more important than even I had originally thought. I helped out more people than I thought I would with my channel and I don't feel right disappearing from this genre, especially now with people leaving the natural hair community in the terms of going back to relaxers or other hairstyles that basically hide natural hair. Or you don't have to maintain it. I think it's more important now than ever for me to to create natural hair content. So that's what I'm gon na do. Personally, I refuse to let relaxers win. I refuse to let other standards of beauty keep me from being comfortable and confident in myself and what grows out of my scalp, and I think that I need to come back and continue to relay that message to others that your hair, your natural hair, how it Grows out, your scalp is beautiful as it is. I think it's important that now we come back at come back into the natural community at a completely different angle. Now we did the whole big chop. Do your wash and goes you know everybody was just like saturate saturate saturate, your hair, to get definition. I don't think that was the right way to go about it. I think that that worked for a specific hair type, specifically type three. I think that the natural hair community has failed those with Type 4 hair it has. We have given those would type more hair, a completely unrealistic expectation of how to care for their hair. What it's supposed to look like what styles you can wear and I think that led to content of those with Type 4 hair. I think that led to a specific type of content with Type 4 hair where it was like. Instead of enjoying the journey, it was struggling on the journey, I'd yeah, I think that yeah 100, we failed those with with natural type floor hair, and that is why I feel like it's important for me to come back and continue with Type 4 hair hair content. Um, I think we can all say that I have had a significant amount of success with on my natural hair Journey, even more than I had expected. I mean it's hard to tell right now because it's shrunk, but it's like even you know. I am at bra, strap length being five years into this and honestly, I thought that I had shown and discussed everything that I possibly could with natural hair, at least on my journey, and I realized that that's not actually true. I think that there is more information to share and I think that there is a different angle to come at it. I did consider I really don't want to so I don't think I'm going to, but I did consider big chopping again because I wanted to show that from the very very beginning that this this is something that's maintainable and easy and beautiful, and you know completely realistic. I don't know I don't I don't promise that I'm gon na big drop again. I really don't want to I'm very happy with the progress I have made. This is the longest my hair has ever been in my life um, the healthiest my hair's ever been in my life, and I don't think it is the right time for me to disappear from the natural hair community and to completely do a 180. On my content. I don't think the timing is right. Do I enjoy doing home stuff yeah? I also have realized that I enjoy doing my home stuff off camera. Do you know how hard it is to try and update and work on furniture, while also trying to think of camera angles? It was not. It was beginning to not very be very fun for me. However, I'm still gon na upload the cabinet video, eventually it might be at the end of the year, but I will upload it. It also was starting to kind of irk me, and I started feeling comfortable with the idea that we have fought so hard for the crown act to be able to wear natural hair in professional settings. Only for for us to just completely revert back to relaxer's end and hiding our hair uh mind blown by that. It'S like why. Why would we make that progress only to completely like backtrack from it, so yeah um? I'Ve also decided that I have am going to create a Google form link and I will keep that pinned in a in the in the comments. So it's at the top, where people can find it where you can just submit your suggestions for what what products you want to see me use what hairstyles you want to see what advice you want me to talk about uh information. You want me to share um. I'Ve considered also maybe going around. I live in the Phoenix area I live in the valley and I've thought about even going around to natural hair, salons and just filming, you know maybe different beauticians around the valley that care for natural hair are getting their advice. So I I've got some ideas. I'Ve realized that my content tank is not as empty as I thought that it was. I don't want to see all the hard work the natural hair community has made backtrack. I don't want to see it regress. I don't want to see it disappear, but I do think we have to come at it from a different angle and we need to offer more realistic support for those with natural Afro kinky textured hair. We have not been fair to that part of the natural hair community. I mean they started the whole movement. I know a lot of us feel that it had been hijacked by those with looser hair textures. I don't necessarily want to say hijacked, I'm happy. We were able to to include the type 3 hair type because, let's be honest, not all black women and not every black woman has Type 4 kinky hair. I think this allowed them to open up and and share their Journey, but I do think the type 3 hair maintenance, I think, the maintenance and the hairstyles and the Way That Type 3 hair is taken. Care of was thrown onto Type 4 hair. And I think it gave people unrealistic expectations for what they, a their hair, is going to look like B. What maintenance was going to be like see what hairstyles they would be able to have or realistically be able to maintain. I think I am making the right decision. I know that I'm making the right decision to come back full-time to natural hair content. It feels right. It feels right, so I'm ready to come back. I'M ready to put out consistent hair content, even if it's just going live. If I don't have something that I feel like I can upload realistically within a week, I think I think it would be important to also do more lives. Uh live chats, live chat, q and A's to answer questions and kind of chit chat with you guys as well. I don't feel like making a second Channel either for home life Vlog chance, listen! My real life is not that interesting. I don't have that much to share with you guys, I'm literally just a stay-at-home wife. That'S what I do. I cook I clean uh and I love it, but it's it's not interesting enough for for Content. Personally, so I will save you guys that that bore that snorefest of content, so yeah, let's get back to what what we're originally here to accomplish. Let'S make your content: let's show people that an afro hair is freaking, awesome and beautiful and completely maintainable, and let's set realistic expectations and goals and and give real information on how to take care of Afro kinky textured hair. Let'S do it, I I think, I'm I think I'm making the right decision I'm more than happy to come back and film that content for you guys I've got my motivation back. I really wasn't. I really didn't think I had anything to share, but I do so with that said: leave your suggestions in the Google form. You can leave it in the comments too. It'S just gon na be easier for me to kind of see and organize it. If you guys are inputting your suggestions through that link, but yeah, I hope you guys are excited. I'M excited. I feel happy that I have come finally come to this conclusion that I'm not ready to to leave natural hair. I think that um, I think I've had as small as it may be. I think I've had somewhat of an important voice in this community and I'm ready to share more I'm ready to kind of dive deeper into this and provide you the info and guidance that that is needed. Uh, I'm not a hair specialist. I mean I don't all. I can share with you guys is the information and the confidence that I have gained on my journey. I I'm not. I don't own a salon. I'Ve never been to hair school. I can only show you guys from a realist from a realistic normal average person. Point of view, I hope that you guys enjoyed this chit chat, video. Let me know your thoughts and all your suggestions down below keep looming and I'll see you guys in my next video

Joy-el: Please share your video suggestions and ideas with me! I look forward to creating more hair content for you! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdgWqhi2SpxrH64Rx0Ne2uop1s57OGvD7b7upUGvc9gUNABSw/viewform?usp=sharing

Believe N See: Natural hair isn't just a hair choice...it's a health choice. Glad you're sticking around.

Dee Oy: One more thing don’t cut it! It SO important for women to see what the growth for 4C hair looks like and how to maintain styles 5 years out

Rocket265: You have helped me immensely as a male who knew nothing about taking care of his 4c hair. Thank you for showing me what self love can look like

Library of the Labyrinth : Girl this is why I love you. You embody the change you want to see! You were integral in my decision to finally go natural. It’s so much deeper than hair. We need more black girls like you to keep representing us and taking up space in the world. Rise up! And don’t stop !

dj dj: Please don't stop! You young lady have kept me being natural! Its been 15 years and I'm now 62. Yes, I'm gray, kinky, 4c with apl length hair and loving it!

NewJackSwing Juicy Swing: This is your gift from most high & christ. You inspire my lil cousins with ideas for natural hair. And you a showing that light skin or dark skin blacks girls relate to you.

Random Grannie: This glam-ma is glad you’re sticking around. ❤ I don’t have 4C hair but I’ve learned a lot from you and I thoroughly enjoy your conversation. YAY!!! You are needed and appreciated. Keep on trucking and do what makes you happy.

Sable 711: Welcome back! I agree, we fought so hard for the crown Act and just as we're finding out how dangerous hair relaxers are, many people are going back to them. I think some of the problem is that we have made caring for and maintaining our Type 4 hair much too difficult. And childhood, it's thrived with very little effort. So, let's rewind and start this again and I think it would be very interesting if you visited beauty salons who specialize in natural hair. I've not been able to find one in my area. Let's find out what they are doing! and, do they charge more simply because your hair is in the Natural State given to us by God?

Dimension Exo: There is nothing like natural hair - Keep it real

Alisa Meireis: FINALLY!!! I wondered what was going on!!! Some of us are only within a year of going natural….and we need your Presence and Content as we navigate natural hair products and a new and positive way of seeing ourselves crowned with the natural beauty of our strands. Thank you for returning to us…... It was lonely out here without you. ❤️

josh lawton: A salon travel vlog would be dope! also theres a ton of braids and styles to try and explore. Also afros are a big part of being natural but braids, weaves and wigs are another thing as they are not just maintenence but pioneering creativity. have fun and we will support you!

MegaBrownie19: I can’t believe people are relaxing again. It’s such a horrible harmful process! So glad you’re going to continue to document your hair journey.

Darleen Byrd: Joy-el thank you for continuing the fight to help women with kinkier textures fall in love with their hair the way it grows out of their heads. Some content creators have said that the natural hair community is dead but I don’t agree. After all I’m still here for it all and I’m still happily natural with kinky hair and still learning

Laziee: I’m so glad! I think that you have an important voice, not just as a natural hair content creator but as a mixed woman who passionately supports the black community. Unfortunately, we don’t always see that so it’s great to see someone mixed be so unapologetically black ❤

Jacinth Manning: Thank you for this video.I do not usually comment but agree that the resurgence of unhealthy hair habits namely relaxers is heartbreaking. Thanks for sticking with the natural hair community❤

Tiff Monique: They can always go back and watch your big chop video from the past. I'm interested to see your hair journey further. It's like I'm going through it with you because I big chopped at the end of 2019 and my hair is thriving. Glad you're going back to natural hair content. ❤

I am Ocean Wife: You’re not just a stay home mom. You’re an influencer. That’s hard work.

Princess Smoka Hontas: Seriously, I have no intentions of using harsh chemicals. The smell and the toxic chemicals absorbing in my brain is a huge no for me.

Holly Chaney: Welcome back, you're and inspiration to us Biracial women with kinker hair types, mine is 3c/4a and not what people see as typical mixed hair if you know what I mean.

Breakthrough Moment: Straightened hair just isn’t African. It’s a denial of our heritage. Btw, Afro-Cuban women almost all wear afros (big & close-cut), and they look terrific!! Are we simply more brainwashed than they are? Thanks for mentioning about the “Crown Act.” Had never heard of that. Glad to see you back!

DeeCurly: You’ve been so helpful to me in my natural hair journey. Thank you and I’m so glad to hear you’re zoning more on natural hair again. I’m a year and seven months natural and I can’t imagine going back to relaxers. And I’m significantly older than you so I’ve had decades of relaxed hair. No interest in having straight hair again. And yes! Natural 4 type hair is not difficult to maintain and it’s beautiful! I have never been happier with my hair and my hair has never been happier with me. Thanks again! You’ve made a huge and wonderful impact. Keep on being awesome! And I love you hair, hope you don’t big chop again. However, I’ll still watch your hair content if you do

Lexi: Thank you! I’m glad to have you back. I’ve noticed the lack in type 4 and 4c content in the last year and a half. I’m still wearing my 4c curls.

WarriorDescision: As a Black man you inspired me to grow my hair out. I wasn't allowed to grow it out when I was younger and was forced to have a bald head or short hair cuts and it wasn't until I turned 28 last year I wanted to grow it out. I came across your channel years ago but forgot your name and thankfully you popped up in my recommendation box last year before I was going to cut my hair bald again lol. I watch your "Why I love my afro and why you should too" and How to be confident with type 4 hair" videos almost every day. Those two videos inspired me so much. Definitely my favorite videos from you and always liked how honest you are. You have inspired so many of us to grow our hair out and care for it Joyel

Tessa G: Hey Joy-el! Thanks for coming back to doing hair content! I really enjoy it so much! I look a lot like you with hazel eyes and type 4 hair. It gives me so much encouragement and confidence to see your content. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

miniminott48: I've been with you from the beginning and I am so happy that you are back with your natural hair content because I enjoy them very much!

Natural Woman💕: Welcome back Joy-el! ...yes a lot of natural ladies are going back to what took their hair out in the first place...when will they learn Lord?

NaturallyRoro: Thank you Joy-el for your genuine contribution ❤ I think it’s great that you’re coming back with natural hair content. You’ve always been true to yourself and original. You are one of the few of us who actually comes on this platform and speak on the sensitive subjects that surrounds our hair that many of us don’t understand or are just afraid to bring to light. Its honestly a breath of fresh air. You have my 110% support all the way, I’m here for it❤❤❤

Chafester: Good for you Joy-el. Honestly, you may not think that your life as a stay-at-home wife is interesting but there may be a lot of women out there who might need inspiration from you to be encouraged about being so. If you love it then, maybe others might as well. You still are doing YouTube and could show the balance of your life, but not overdue it to exhaust yourself. Start out slow. I'd watch it. God bless you and KEEP GOING!

time for truth: Your hair is so pretty. I remember when you were starting out. I am glad you stuck to natural hair. Me and my daughter and I are natural 4B/4C type. No, it's not easy, but it can be taken care of.

Dawn Johnson: Glad to see you back. Thank you for all the great content. I stopped using heat and flat irons in Sept 2020. I was lost. My hair is thriving and I love it. Thank you for giving us your time. If I run into you in the Phoenix area. I will definitely say hello.

Glamm-Mah Got Guts: Hello Joy-el-so hood to see you! I’m a Glamma(57 with 10 grandkids)I found your channel about 2 years ago. Absolutely LOVE your content. Please stay in the fight of educating us. I adore my natural, Silver, and just beautiful hair. Blessings ❤

Dot the I: I agree 100 percent!! The natural hair community has failed people with type 4 hair. A great séries would be natural hair styles for conservative, professional settings.

Kim Weidner: Yay, you’re back!❤ I completely support the idea that our beautiful women should not go back to relaxers and they need to get off the hair crack! Please keep your hair as is because it encourages those who don’t believe they can grow their hair. Welcome back!

Khaira Wilson: Your comments are spot on. Those type 3 videos gave me so much frustration in the early days of my journey. Time taught me how to work with and do beautiful things with MY hair. I wasn't doing anything wrong, unrealistic expectations were being set. And it did seem like a lot of YT content was coming from type 3. And i no longer buy into natural type 4 hair being difficult. Bc I'm not looking for t3 results or the t3 look.

sweetsharie66: Please don’t “big chop” just for content. Only do it if you want to have short hair again. Thanks for your commitment to the natural hair cause. It’s about our health now.

Conversations With Ma'at: Welcome back and thank you. You get it and it’s great to see an honest 4c, high porosity sister making videos for people with 4c high porosity hair. As I searched for products to use in my family’s hair my experience was that the majority of videos coming up were of influencers with other hair types who being deceptive and even click bating. I would call that high jacking 4c movement and definitely trying to capitalize on it. It was extremely time consuming, frustrating and defeating. It was also expensive. So thanks again!

LK: I’m super excited you’ve made this choice and along for the ride! I saw your channel years ago and it’s what empowered me to learn & love my hair. Thanks so much❤

MB: Glad to hear you'll be posting hair content more consistently. Few ideas for you...videos trying out different protective hairstyles, in addition to your salon idea you can film yourself getting your hair done at the salon (if you trust them!), you can try other natural YouTubers hairstyle tutorials and film how it comes out on your hair, those videos are always fun and get lots of views, you can get a few girls together with different textures and have a round table hair discussion in person and even virtual collab videos with other YouTubers. I think you have a lot more you can offer in this area, don't sell yourself short. Looking forward to it!

Wilson: Yesterday I broke down because after 2 years of re-growing my hair, I just haven’t figured out how to make my 4c hair look continuously moisturized and I have so many textures, it just doesn’t feel or look “good” . No matter how much product I put into it. And I feel so odd compared to wearing weaves with softer textures. So happy to see you are getting back to this - I just found your content not too long ago so it’s motivating to keep trying!

Lisa J: So great to have you back! Your videos has really helped me - I am newer to be a natural and need all the help I can get! Keep doing that hair content. We love it!

Alicia: Glad your back. I agree, we need more natural hair content now more than ever!

Joelle Davis: So glad you're coming back! Glad that you see how much you and your hair content is needed in times like these and how positively it affects others with type 4 hair! Thank you, and I'm with you 100%!!❤️

Rashel Mejia: I'm so happy you're back! I've been feeling stuck with my hair, so this is 10/10 timing <3

Yahushua's Chosen: Happy to know this! Looking forward to your content and keeping natural hair alive and embracing it. Thank you so much !♥️

axeleatsyou: glad to see you back! your content has helped me strengthen my hair so much :)

2411Mal: Natural hair is so beautiful and unique, unaltered. Idk why anyone would want to be relaxed. Side note:( there is beauty in all hair textures straight to kinky) i love your content.

Dee Oy: I can’t believe I have been watching you for 5 years I would love to watch content on your various interests. I think it’s possible focus on natural hair content and maybe create a playlist for when you want to make a video on other things. I don’ think it has to be all or nothing especially since we are more than just our hair.

Perri B.: Yay! I'm glad you're back and I just want to say I loved your home content so upload what you see fit as you see fit. Couldn't agree more I had so many unrealistic expectations about my hair, but I was lucky that I went natural during lockdown and had time to relearn. Everytime I see a relaxer video it reminds me why I went natural in the first place. Can't wait to see what you do next!!❤️

Free Rein Art Studio: Your hair is gorgeous! I have fine, thin, straight, short hair but still enjoy seeing natural hairstyles.

Adam Astro: I’m glad she’s coming back to natural hair. It’s disappointing to see so many people return to relaxers.

g g: Thank you for continuing to share your natural hair experience. I have been relaxer free for about thirteen years. I have done two big chops since I retired eleven years ago. Both times because of heat damage caused by my own lack of knowledge and my reliance on hair stylists in an area that did not have natural hair salons. I decided to enroll myself in YouTube university . After sorting through a lot of content and some conflicting information, I found a few channels that most closely match my hair type.

Jay G.: Welcome back, Joy-el! Missed you and your great content ❤

Why: The only problem with 4C is when it starts to gray, the texture change and I’m at a lost. I’m one that went back to the perm and it’s the worst, I noticed my hair is only 4C about 3 inches up from the sides and back around to the other side, the top (bang) and crown is straight but kinky, never the feel of new growth. All my life I never knew I had more than one textures. My sister and I had perms growing up, she decided to cut her hair in her fourties’ and it grew out curly, smooth curly ringlets. I think I’m going to cut off the permed hair(at the 4C areas and leave the top heavy and trim as it grows out, because there isn’t anyway to determine what is new growth. The sides and nape you can’t get your fingers threw the new growth. The shrinkages is real in those areas.

Antonia A.: Your voice has certainly been important to ME!!! My texture is similar to yours so I relate to your content the most. Thank you very much for coming back!!!

Sherlyn Delva: I'm so happy that you're coming back! I remember watching your videos from when you big chopped! Your hair has grown so nicely. I've always struggled with length so I hope that your tips help me.

Sarath: I love you so much more after watching this. You made so many amazing points. I was snapping my fingers the whole time. lol You are so real and dope for this.

Magenta: Type 4 hair with texture was overshadowed in the natural hair community. I specified textured type 4 hair because the silky type 4s (typically 4a) were definitely desired. Glad you're back Joy-el.

Sabrina Latrese: Thank you. I appreciate you coming back. I have definitely struggled with wanting to go back to being relaxed, but I learned so much that I just refuse to. I can definitely say I have learned from watching your videos on how to take care of my 4c hair.

jeffsycks: OMGosh Joy-el! Your naturally curly type 4 hair is SOOOOO beautiful!! I LOVE that you waer it natural! (I agree - please no relaxers! Noo!!! And i LOVE your super long length!! PLEEEAAASSSE no chop! And boy was i surprised when you pulled that out to bra strap length!! Wow!!! You have such gorgeous curly hair!! Thank you for sharing!! Please keep growing it!! You said what content we would like to see? Here is a personal request- would you do a video of you washing your hair? I would love to see the water and shampoo running down through that long gorgeous curly hair! Thank you Its always good to see you !

Leah McLean Tewari: And you definitely do NOT need to BC unless you feel like your hair needs it or unless you want to. Love you and your channel and I’m definitely here for the natural hair content!

Another Days Journey: I went back natural about 2yrs ago & I decided sisterlocs were the better option for me. I have been loc'd a little over a year now & love it! Thanks for sharing your journey & please don't cut your beautiful crown.

Samantha X: Good to see you back

Leah McLean Tewari: YAY!! I’m SO HAPPY to hear this! ❤

Dr. C. M. Bryant: Thank you! So many creators are leaving “natural hair” content once their audience grows. So many say they started their natural hair journey on YouTube for the purpose of sharing and helping other. Now, that they have a bigger audience, they say that they are bored with “natural hair” and want to branch out, which is fine. But content creator should not blame viewers when they are not getting as many views, they seemed to have forgotten that it was the “natural hair” content that attracted viewers in the first place. I started watching YouTube because of my natural hair journey, when the platform changes, I unsubscribe. BTW, I have watched you for a while and you have helped me greatly. I loved the video when you showed you hair actually shrinking during the course of the day. Again, thank you for not abandoning us because we are STILL learning about the beauty of our natural hair.

Roses & Peonies: Yes, Joy-el, not every black woman has 4c hair. I have 3b 3c hair grazing waist length and I find your channel very interesting and highly informative. Welcome back love!

Rabielle Parfait: Your video just popped and I like your perspective on this whole natural hair movement. ❤I can’t talk for the US because I live in Europe and grew up in an afro centric German environment. My biggest issue I’ve been seeing for 13 years now is how people are using the label 4c. Many girls on social media would call themselves a 4c owner without owning these tight coily hair strands. We would try using their recommended creams and our hair would still not curl like them or appear silky shiny. Many of us were left behind because no one taught us how to do effortless washngos. So by consuming these loose textured hair videos, it really did something with our confidence. We only saw recognition when our hair is either kept in long twists & braids or it’s combed out into a huge afro. We barely saw role models showing us that 4c hair isn’t struggle hair that needs to be moisturised daily just to keep it soft. My biggest mind shift came, when I was seeing naturals with my 4c hair curl size & texture rocking wash&gos in 2014 while doing the maximum hydration method. Washing the hair more often while focusing on plant based curly girl method principles was my biggest light bulb moment, which lead me truly not chasing straight hair or a looser curl pattern anymore.

divas on a dime: We are glad to see you back! We think that you have such a beautiful personality. ☺️❤️❤️

Special K D: Glad to have you back, Do not Big Chop!

MsAllyB: Well done you!!! I am totally here for the natural hair content x

nearandfar: so excited! we need more kinky hair representation …it feels like we are disappearing

Ronni j: GIRL KEEP YOUR NATURAL 4C HAIR ITS BEAUTIFUL I HAVE THE SAME TYPE 4 C HAIR AND IM NEVER NEVER NEVER GOING BACK TO A RELAXER PERIODDDDD

Why: Love your videos on kinky hair, my hair is graying and I feel like I need to coat the gray to make it manageable to stop it from tangling at the roots. I can no longer comb my hair from the roots because of the tangles. Perms aren’t the answer for kinky because of new growth, which becomes a bigger problem than before.

E: I'm so glad. You're one of the few people on youtube who seems to have my hair type. And I've been watching youtubers for years! Plus I love your hair content.

Lifted🌱📿: 3:31 No Seriously..Thank you going within staying true ⚖️&then giving that to us is beyond words.

Clearice Rush: I’m happy you’re back! I appreciate your content and find it very helpful

Adero Prescott: I agree with you on the importance of displaying and sharing type 4 hair content. Do not big chop. I remember where you started and your hair is thriving.

Amy: Love everything you said!!! I have never seen your channel until now, but will absolutely follow you now. I was one that considered going back to the relaxer, I didn’t do it!!! But I definitely wanted to because sometimes the maintenance gets to be so much. I will try to learn from you.

Ryan: Hello. I was natural for 3 years until my hair braid lady moved away. I didn’t even know how to put my hair into a ponytail. I relaxed my hair and instantly regretted it. I am starting all over again. So let’s start at the beginning. Back to basics

Beauty1111: You can always do cleaning vids.. and organization ones. You’ll be surprised. Hygiene too. along with your hair vids. You being an at home wife is perfect for that. People love watching that as well. Glad you’re back.

JustCallMeLuscious: I'm glad that you are back. Don't big chop. This is coming from someone who has and is going through the awkward length phase. Could you talk about what products you use in this dry climate to keep your hair moisturized?

New Eyez: So happy you are back!

A.B: YESSSSSSS!!! Thank you for coming back, I mimic what u do with ur hair and the things u use my hair loves

NaturallyWit: I don't know who you are, this is my first video but I'm subscribing I've been natural for 11 years but I'm recommitting to my hair journey after doing a mini-chop (very mini, but big for me lol) at the end of 2021. I wanna grow my hair where it was (waist length) but I wanna do it healthier this time! I wanna love on my hair. Excited to watch more of your content! <3

Celi: I am so happy about the comeback!

Mallettryx03: Natural hair has been my way of life since I had a choice. Love your hair, it will love you back. Thanks for sharing. Welcome back ❤❤❤

Ka-pa-ya: 1000% agree! So glad you are back

Nina Matthews: Yes!! I’ve been seeing so many natural to relaxed videos lately.

Formerlyknownas: Here, Here! I have no interest in going back to placing something on my scalp that causes uterine fibroids and potentially reproductive cancers. I will tackle my natural hair, when I need a break I will get braids. I’m good. But to each their own.

Adero Prescott: Your hair looks great!

Ossie R: Joy-El where have you been? I’ve been loving my natural hair. I’ve simplified my routine and I love it, no more product junky.

Gloria Bass: I9 yrs natural I gave it up when I gave up nicotine thanks for being here for us, I need your content in Life

Tink hix: Welcome back❤❤Might I suggest you bring your sister on and compare the differences in how you care for your hair 4c to your sisters 3 hair. What products would work for you and not her and vice versa. Just a suggestion. That would be helpful . Oh and I included this comment on your suggestion form as well

Junior Chaves o Picasso de Yahushua: 10:14 You are remarkably gorgeous. Your hair looks so beautiful and you've got nice eyes too

Purple Dragon: Hey, welcome back! I personally would love to see you visit salons in your area and rate your experience. I live in Arizona too so if you find a good place I might just drop by!

Corlissa: Keep on with the natural hair videos like watching your videos. Personally I would not go back to getting a perm.

Indigo Cosmic: Your hair looks really cute in this video! Have you ever tried flat twist? They give your hair the look you have now with little more of a tighter wave.

Kim C: Thank you for listening to your heart

serenity 30: I Am 4c but i an thinking bout switching up and getting sisterlocks I can't wait for beautiful ideas you videos will come up with...but I so thank you for thus video it was truly needed
