Fun fact you know: almost everybody can look good in a bob shape yeah, but not every Bob shape looks good on everyone and today I'm going to break down exactly what Bob would actually work best for you. I'M gon na break down the five kind of most common overall Bob shapes, I'm going to explain exactly what they are, most importantly, who they will function best for what hair textures face, shapes, Etc. And then, if there's anything that you need to be aware of before you decide to get involved with it, I'm also going to share my what I consider to be the most dangerous bob haircut. Yes, the most dangerous one. It sounds weird, but stick with me here, as well as my kind of Fail-Safe process, so that you can actually explain to your stylist what Bob you want and not hate your hair so number one okay in no particular order. The first shape is a lob. What is a lob well, lob is simply a long bob. Most Bob shapes are standard. Bob was going to land the length, basically at your chin, give or take about an inch shorter or an inch longer. The lob is going to land that length closer to your shoulders or, in some cases, even closer to like the collarbone area. So, who is this shape best, for I find that lobs work really well on people that have a longer neck and or a higher neckline or if you've got a medium to thicker, hair texture. Now the reason that you want it - I don't want to say, stay away from this or but be aware of this if you've got a thinner hair. Texture is simply because the length alone means that you are limited in how you would go about layering a shape like this, so it may end up looking a little bit thin or sparse at the end. Now, what do you need to know about a lob? Well, the first thing you want to pay attention to is the fact that, because they are so long to begin with, they can have a tendency to feel like they grow out quickly once they hit the shoulders. It'S going to be a probability that they're going to start flipping out at the shoulders and once they flip out, they kind of lose that overall, Bob Essence, if you will and they feel like they need to be cut back up to actually become a Bob again. So it may be a little bit higher maintenance than what you might be wanting to get involved with now. The other thing you want to think about is, if you do have a longer face because of the actual length of a lob, it can have a tendency to elongate your face even more so it may be a situation where you don't want to add more length To your face, and in that case a longer length may not work best, for you number two is a chin length bob. This is basically where all of the variants for Bobs came from, and it's simply exactly what it sounds like it's a bob that lands about. Roughly at your chin again give or take about an inch a little bit shorter or a little bit longer than the chin, so who do these work best for, if you feel like you've, got a little bit of a longer face? This is a really good option, because that length Landing directly at or very close to your chin hesitancy to add a bit of fullness to your face. Also, if you have a thinner texture of hair, this is actually a pretty good option, because that length being a bit shorter, allows those layers to be cut a bit shorter and with the length being closer to the hairline. It also has a tendency to support that layering a little bit better, and so you can make thinner hair look thicker through this length range. So what do you need to know about this? Well, if you've got a fuller face and or thicker hair in both of those situations, you're going to want to make sure that you layer this, the concern is, if you don't layer, a length like this it'll have a tendency to get very full on the sides. So the simple length alone, if you've got a full face, is going to add width. So you'll want to layer some of that bulk out of the sides to take some of that width back out and then, if you've got thick hair, it's also going to get full on the sides and therefore or you're, going to want to layer it to take That bulk out of the sides again number three is the graduated Bob. Now this is just a bob that has graduation in the back around the nape. Now this layering or graduation can be super severe and very aggressive, or it can be very minimal until it's just a very light bevel. So who does this work best on? Well, since this is the only shape we'll be talking about today, that doesn't really dictate Itself by a certain length range, we're really just talking about the way that we actually layer this shape, and therefore this is like a 9 out of 10 people. It'S going to work really well for it, so if you're a person that maybe you want to accentuate more cheek structure, maybe you want to lift your face a little bit more, adding that little bit of graduation or beveling does an incredible job of lifting that eye. From that profile, okay, and before we get into what I still consider to be the most dangerous Bob on this list, if you're liking the content. Well, once you hit the Subscribe button, hit the like button and by the way, if you are new to to the channel uh welcome, I'm just Nick Ox been here since 1995. So this is what I do. I teach you about hair and teach what I've learned there we go like it. Subscribe Youtube, yay, YouTube back to the video you're bored. Now I know okay number four is the one length bob yeah, and that is simply a bob that doesn't have layers. That was a tough one right, yeah you're welcome, but it's definitely not for everybody. So who is it for these shapes work great if you've got a medium to thinner density of hair? The main thing you want to be aware of with one length Bobs just that it gets so full at the bottom. Now the thing about curly, hair, specifically in these shapes, is that it's not that a curly hair texture can't work as a one-length bob curly hair works so well with layering. It'S really almost a disservice to not layer it. You can really open that shape up. So much more and loosen the curl up get a much stronger, curled pattern when you don't layer it on a shape like this. It'S just kind of like it's not going to be as good. So why not just layer it and make it even better? And now we're on to number five, and this is what I consider to be the most dangerous Bob of all. That'S so weird, Okay, work with me here. Number five is the bixie. A Big C is a bob that is a cross between a bob and a pixie. That is why I say it's concerning, so it's not that it doesn't look good or some amazing ones that look incredible, but the concern is that there's such a vast difference between a bob length and a pixie length, it's just so broad who is a pixie for A Big C is really good at accentuating things like Jaw structure, cheekbone structure, lifting the face opening the face, drawing more attention to your eyes. There'S anything about your face that you really want to bring attention to. Then these shapes are going to function really well for you, because of the length you're really able to cut more shape into the hair now cutting shape into the hair basically means that you're using layers to create volume where you want to create volume, mainly by removing Volume from the areas where you don't want volume - and this allows you to bring more emphasis to certain parts of your face - that you want to bring more emphasis to now. What do you need to be aware of or concerned about before you get into these shapes? One you want to recognize that, depending on how short you go, it doesn't inherently mean that it's going to be less overall maintenance. This doesn't just mean maintenance from a day-to-day basis. This also means maintenance of how often you're going to be going into the salon to get it maintained, so both of those could go up. So let's talk about my process so that you can explain these shapes to your stylist so that you get the right cut. Well, first of all, one thing that I want to be very, very clear about is in any of these situations. These are all bob cuts, but they're all very different, and that's the key takeaway that I want you to pull from this video do not go into your stylist and name any of these names. So, for me, the most important thing that you can do and what I would want a client to do in my chair is to bring in photos of what you like and what you don't like, explain to them. What you like about these couple of photos and as important, if not more important, what what you don't like about these photos? The reason that what you don't like is so important is because, if you just show them what you like, it still leaves room for interpretation as to what you like about those. So they don't ask you. What is it about these that you like? Then they don't realize that it's only the length you didn't like the layering. I just liked where the length was, but I hope that helped and if you have any questions you know where I'm at comment below. Let me know that rhymed, because I'm a Rhymer, I'm a rapper. Now no, I'm not okay, I'm gon na leave now, but I will see you next week. Um next week, we'll see you then have a good one. Thanks for hanging out

Justin Hickox: So…which bob do YOU like??

Andra: Great information!!! I love that you broke it down by face shape and hair texture and explained why some look better than others, depending on hair texture, density and face shape! Thanks for continuing to educate us!

roxannelucky: As I am aging, my hair is changing and what works is evolving. I really appreciate these explanatory videos with photos, Justin! I think my bob needs more layers. Thanks!!!

Julie Briz: Your videos are always more enjoyable and informative than others I've watched...plus you are honest with us all with what you believe really works. It is refreshing to hear a hairdresser explain the 'why' behind everything too! All too often many in the trade just say 'this would look great on you' or 'you need: layers, a fringe, the sides taken up a bit...etc etc!...With no real explanation or consultation with the client!

Judith Connor: Fantastic video, Justin! I like the chin length with layers, I think it is actually quite versatile especially if one has a bit of wave, it can be a great casual look just air dried, or more sophisticated with some product and a blow dry. Thanks! I was wondering if you might address updos - best hairstyles if you like updos, non-frumpy updos for older women, even clips and ornaments. I don't see this addressed very much, at least not by hair stylists.

Cheryl McNutt: Can you do a show on hairstyles for women in their 60s and 70s. Especially women who have that turkey-chin/neck thing happening? I’ve recently lost 115 lbs. and have no idea what would would look good on me with this saggy chin thing happening. Thanks!

Kathy Aay Beauty & Lifestyle: Love the longer lob one. Thanks for explaining the differences! I once went to the hairdressers years ago and just asked for a "bob" and she cut it way too short. I was crying in the chair.

mimzy c: I've had bobs over the years that just don't look good. Not every stylist knows how to cut them. I finally found one who does. She does all the things you've mentioned. It makes all the difference

Andrea Long: Lobs and bobs are something I always admire on other people. I really like the length of a LOB for versatility, because it can still be pulled up for workouts. I had my hairdresser cut my hair about a month ago (after I cut it from long, shaggy layers into a "lob length"). I like the overall ease of the cut. It is a more chin length graduated/layered bob than a lob, and I'm still not sure if that is the best shape for my face. I remember having a more of a pageboy cut when I was a little girl with stick straight, fine hair. Now my hair is still fine with a good bit of curl (or frizz depending on the humidity.)

Rara Avis: Ah, that feeling of relief, when one finally finds *the* haircut that fits. Took me till my 40s. Went from a pixie as a teen to super long (bushy, unmanageable) hair during my 20s back to a pixie and then through every length in between that and shoulder length till now. It's really tricky. With my narrow figure and square jaw, a pixie looks to masculine on me, imo. Chin length makes my face look too square...shoulder length too long...plus my hair is thick, dense and wavy, so it gets bushy and poofy, easily. It's only one specific length (about an inch under my chin) with lots of layering, graduation in the back and careful blowdrying, that consistently looks good. Whew. The relief. Now I know, what to ask for, what products to use and how to style it and it's such a load of my shoulders!

Charlotte Johnk: I’m 64 and I recently went for a bob. I always thought thatI needed longer hair in the back but this shape is incredibly flattering. There are also many different length options to try out, not at all boring.

Julie Petersen: I’ve done all the bobs…yep, I’m fickle! The graduated bob is what I currently have, and what looks best on me; easy to style and always flattering. This style takes 5-10 years off my looks, so for now I’m sticking with it! (I’m 52.)

Terry: Perfect timing, Justin! Going to a new stylist on Saturday. I have saved the pics for the graduated bob and pics of what I don't want. Great idea! BTW... I ordered the Laifen Swift and love it. The sale price of $139 was a bargain for the quality.

A Harris: Hi Justin! Love your videos. So informative. My haircut is a graduated bob which I have worn off and on for years. I have fine hair which happens to be thick as well. The problem I am having now is that it gets so poofy on the ends and is flat on one side and really full on the other( I do a side part). Needless to say, I'm not real happy with it. When I share these concerns with my stylist, she just kinda shrugs and says "there is not much I can do, it's just the way your hair is". I would love your opinion. Thanks!

Dawn Liphard: I have always loved the Bob hair cut. I wore it for most of the time I was in the service. Back then, the one length Bob was also referred to as a Sassoon cut(at least where I was lol) If I ever decide to do a major chop ever again, I will most likely go with a long one length bob.

Angie‘Sew Therapy: This is a great video because I needed my stylist to understand the idea of a "bixie." Now my hair is long, but I've struggled with wanting a "bixie" again, and I can't find anyone to do it like what I have in my head. I'll definitely think about what you said. Thank you for the great videos!

Sassy Sick Chick: Brilliant advice on bringing pictures that show what you DON’T want! I’ll definitely be doing that next time. It’ll make things so much easier for me AND her.

Trish Hickson: Absolutely loved this. I’m going to have to find haircuts I don’t like now! I’m growing out a pixie cut and I’m probably a short bixie at the moment! My hair is very wavy and easily looks an absolute mess if I try for a smooth style. I love a smooth bob. I’ve been fighting my hair type for years. My hairdresser has suggested I try to embrace the waves and curls, but I’m finding it challenging. I either look as if I’ve been plugged into the mains, or have slept in a ditch. On a good day it probably resembles Boris Johnson’s hair It seems a graduated bob might be my best style, but could it work with wavy hair? I’d also like to be able to put it up, so not sure what length.

bellellie98: I have a bob now but want to try a shorter pixie cut for summer. Any chance we'll see a similar video on different pixie cuts??? Theres so many!!! My overall philosophy is if I don't like it, it'll grow

High-strung Deb: I loved the collar length ,curly bob cut. I have wavy hair, so I think I will go with that cut. A curly haired gal at work ,got her hair cut recently, to the shorter layered bob cut (she has a smaller face like mine and it's diamond shaped). It looks fantastic on her! She used to wear it up (like me). I'm looking to take off some bulk, but have a cut too that's not contrived and that I can have versatility( wear clips in, or a high bun letting a lot fall out, when at work ). Or just to wear it down at home, etc. At work ,they want us to wear off the face cuts. Many women at work are changing their looks ,(some even go with extensions, etc ). So this gives me the courage to change it up too. But, i have to be able to wear it up too because of Florida hot weather. Your vid and guidance helps so much--thanks. By the way, i will show her that cut you displayed on your vid here. ✂

karen kds: 69, rocking nearly all white but very shiny…….unfortunately thinning from thyroid rx, minimally beveled, near chin length bob. Love it! Can do lots with it. Thanks for validating this old girl

JourneyoftheWildflower 555: Thank you for this! I had my hair cut into an assymetrical style a month ago, and am probably going to let it grow back out into a lob. I don't like the bulk at the ends of my hair and the bluntness, like I thought I would! I consider my face long(ish), and think I have a long neck, but I don't like my chin/jaw area standing out, and no matter how thin my face, I have a lovely double chin look in most pictures...so a chin length bob isn't comfortable for me. I feel so complicated. Side note - that teal colored shirt suits you well! Something is different - your hair, a tan, or maybe just the shirt color? Haha If your beautiful wife helped dress you with that shirt color - well done!

Rena Mae McDonald: You explained these cuts well & gave us some great information. Thanks again!

Zephyr: Another great video thank you. I watch in England and I have so enjoyed your advice and videos for a long while now. My favourite is the lob. I've had pretty much all versions of the Bob you show except the bixie as my hair is a combination of waves around the front and curly if layered around the back so a bixie wouldn't really work for me. I've had to grow out my Bob to a shoulder length layered style simply as I must be able to tie it back now due to work. I'd love to see a video on how to style my mixed texture hair for the shoulder length.

Rum Do: Brilliant video . I used to always ask for a square bob at Vidal Sassoon. It really suited me. But now my hair is more frizzy and kinky so I’m thinking I just go for a longer length bob - not quite a lob. It’s either that or a shag - but my hair is thinning too - so I don’t want it looking too straggly. Food for thought. Thanks

Lara Rimac: I'm not sure if I have thin or fine hair, but I've tried almost every haircut that exists. Pixie suits me very well, or grown out pixie. When it comes to bob haircut, layered just makes my hair look even more thin and lifeless... Blunt cut makes it look healthier and fuller in my opinon. If you have thick hair, layers can look amazing.

Emily Evans: The graduated bob is NOT my hairstyle. I have a cousin who wears it and she looks like a MILLION dollars. I’ve had my natural hair color since the great Pixie cut of December 2017. I’m now growing it out. What’s kind of amusing? Every white hair that grows from my head is curly! It’s naturally WAVY, but this is CURL. I just scrunch and let it dry! Hope everyone is doing well! Thanks for another great one, Justin!

Music Lover: Thank you for the help in understanding all the different bob options. I love the ease of a bob, but I want to be different without a lot of fuss. I like so many things, fringe..no fringe…choppy, shaggy, wavy, straight, and always changing my mind. What is wrong with me?

Lisa Wawrzynski: Hi Justin, I always bring photos of the cut/style I desire every time, to the point where I say, "I know you've seen this pic the last time, but I want to make sure we're on the same page." I also understand that I have fine hair, and will tell my stylist "I know that my hair won't look exactly like this (my hair is fine, photo reflects thicker hair), but this is the cut I like." The problem I've had with showing what I don't want is the stylist confuses what I want with what I don't want, specifically if it's a photo where I like one aspect but not another (I like how it looks around the face but I don't want it highly stacked in the back like this photo). This has happened with every stylist I've seen. So now I only bring photos of what I like. I'm posting this since I'm certain I'm not the only one who's experienced this phenomenon. Thanks! Lisa

Michelle P: Love this video Justin! I love all the bob shapes. My difficulty is I find pics but my hairstylist says it's not my hair type. Always look forward to your videos!

Turra Gorman: I love the bob and it is timeless. I agree with you the bixie or pixie bob is scary. I have fine, thin hair. That bixie is short and choppy and would require styling, product and maintenance. The stylist ability also needs to be considered. I watch Gabi too and recommended blunt bob for fine, thin hair. I did add curtain bangs this year as I wanted some softness. I am 64 years young and love ease of care and low maintenance. Thank you Justin!

JoAnn Maciorowski: I've tried to wear a bob for YEARS and I finally got one that is flattering from a gal at Great Clips! The secret is layering with texturing.

Myrna Edmisten: I’m 83 and have quite curly hair after it’s first washed. I’d love to see some curly hair styles.

CLAYLDY: Very helpful as I go for a hair on Tuesday. Haircuts are very stressful for me as I have very rarely had a good experience.

Donna: It is absolutely informative and very much appreciated.

KD: A bob is the only way to cope with the Australian summer! Love your videos

amy beasley: Justin, I’m 56 post menopausal and post radiation therapy. Lost about 30 lbs without trying due to circumstances above. Long face and now due to weight loss very loose neck skin but thankfully due to tons of protein in my diet I have managed to keep a head full of thick somewhat corse hair that I have highlighted about every 5 weeks. I have no idea what style to go with considering all of above information. I keep a medium length but stays in a large clip most of the time with curtain bangs to try and hide my neck. Has totally shattered my confidence! Will eventually have lift but can’t due to health right now. Would love a video for aging women that have the loose neck skin. I’m sure I’m not the only one that needs cut/style advice on this subject. Totally trust any advice from you.

B.B: Best video ever!!❤ I wear my hair in pixie but I change it up. My hair dresser loves it because I like change and she gets to be creative and I never complain if it doesn’t turn out the way I like I know how to use a curling iron but I’m always happy. I would definitely let you cut my hair. Thanks. B.

Marlene Yokel: Thank you for this video. I've been wearing a bob for years and this gives me more insight as to what kind of bob to wear for my fine, thin hair.

angela stover: Love all your Wonderful tips and full descriptions!! You are such a talented stylist!!

Sue Young: I have a graduated bob and love it. I do have curly hair but I usually blowout straight. One of these days I will figure out how to wear it curly without looking like a wild woman lol

Debra Huff: Love the way you give us detailed information! Question; how do you tell the stylist that you are dissatisfied with the cut? I recently went to a more expensive salon armed with all your information and a cut I thought would look good on me. I had several photos and went into details of what I wanted. I came out with a completely flat top and poufy sides! Nothing like any of the photos. I smiled and left, swearing never to go back. How should I handle it??

Melissa Gurney: Great breakdown! Appreciate the recommendation to take a what you like and don’t like photos. I believe that’s what I’m missing with my stylist.

Roberta De Melo: It is interesting what you said about neck lengths affecting hair styles. I'd love to understand more about that.

Jayne Marino: I love your videos!!! Thanks for being a great artist!!!

Michele Charlton: Thank you! I really appreciate learning about the options for a Bob style.

SugarBaby Angel: I didn't know that I should bring photos of the hairstyle that I like and that I don't like to a stylist. What a great concept.

CanadianChick: That's a lovely colour on you sir! Thanks for the tips as always.

Dee Johnson: This was a great video, Justin! I liked all the bobs except for the plain, straight one.

TJ: Love it, fabulous info! Can you do this with other cuts, such as pixies or layered cuts?

Ann Towry: Love your videos with explanations. It really helps when I go to my stylist to explain what I want and what she has told me in the past. Thanks for the education. Where is your salon? Do you take out of town clients for a one time haircut?

Sabina Kozar: HI, could you do a hair routine for different hair? Which products should or shouldn't we use for washing, shampo and conditinoer - mask, leave-in conditioner, hair oil, etc... Thank you :)

Margarete K: Awesome just grew my hair out to a bob and went natural! Not sure yet, lol ! Thank you enjoyed this video and informative!

MariaV: I would like to see you do a video on the special needs of gray/ white hair. Recommended hair care products, hair styles and styling dos and don’ts. More and more women opting to not color their hair and go natural. I am finding it difficult to find someone with an understanding of it’s unique texture .

Diann Howard: So helpful. Thanks Justin!

Nelly A: Thank you Justin. Your videos are always very informative. And greetings from England

Sonja B: Lol, curly/wavy here. You hit the nail on the head. I've had a Bob most of the last 15 yrs. It IS hard for me to explain to what works on my multi-type curls/waves. I had one gal that 'got' me, but do to family tragedy she had to quit.

M G: Hi Justin. Could you do a clip featuring curly hair with styling options for different textures and lengths. I hate a stacked bob on myself and think it makes me look so Shirley Temple if I’m not careful. This is not the desired look for a senior woman but straightening dry hair is also problematic. Help!

Wanda Brady: Love this video thank you Justin for sharing !

Amethyst&Feathers: That's a brilliant idea to also take in photos of what we don't like

Lolo: Another great video and that color you’re wearing, is definitely your color! It looks great on you

Libby Adler: Very helpful. Thank you!

MJ P: Great content as always!

Julie Barnard: You are so helpful thank you!

jays mamma: I have thick, curly hair. I got highlights and lowlights in 2019. I got a long bob. I have several issues. Straightening my hair with the damage of the color is killing my hair. And I have trouble finding ANYONE who can do layers without it looking chopped. My husband loves the new style and my daughter says I look better with long hair without color. I am 62 years old and I actually had my hair changed because my husband had cancer...I say I wanted something I could CONTROL. So, I have a shallow or hollow looking face due to aging and the long bob and lighter color makes my face look fuller and brightens my complection. I tried curling my hair but it undoes all the nice things the bob does for my face. Any suggestions??

SZ RN: Gotta admit...you are instructive, personnable and entertaining..... All wrapped 'round good guy....Kudos...!!

C. Miller: I really APPRECIATE your content and look forward to learning each week. This is my first negative comment here- I do not like the flashing orange effects in this video. It hurts my eyes and I think it detracts. Your content is great and doesn't need anything else. Honestly, I like you out in the woods. Thanks for all you do!

JMK: That colour shirt looks gorgeous on you.

Anne Lauzon: Love your tips !!!

Diana Ames: This was such great info!

Jennifer Ann Fox: This is very helpful info! Thanks.

Kathy Dobson: This was so helpful, thank you! I'm still wondering though if someone (me) has a full face, can I pull off the Bob above my chin length, as long as it's super layered around my round cheeks, so it doesn't add fullness? Or will it add some, just because it is cut above my chin? Hope that makes sense, lol !

Joyce Petrina: That was very helpful. Thank you.

Joan Russillo: Justin i so love and appreciate your posts and the attention you give to teaching us how to have the best hair for us. I do want to know how to have a side swept bang that is beautiful in pictures covering a persons eye but not reality. How do i style a pretty side fringe/bang without it blinding me and dropping in my eyes?

Linda Marocco: Great video Justin!!!!…loved all this information!!!…much love and appreciation my friend!

D3’s Grammy: Great video! I have a Bob style, just went a little shorter, now chin length.

Stacy Mcdowell: I third, please do this type of video with older lady( about 60) with turkey neck, saggy skin that gives ideas for uplifting our facial features.

Celeste: I like them all, but just wanted to say the color of your shirt looks amazing on you.

Barb Clarke: Quite the best video ever! Thank you so much!

Joan Russillo: Justin i am tired of curling or waving with hot tools to my beautiful greying straight bob-ish hair. Can you talk about being over 60 and how to flatter the face and give lift with just building body in the right places and the cut? Should a cut focus on layers or texture for straight styles

Teena Covert: So very true! Showing pictures of what you don’t like might be more important than what you like.

Tammy Frank: I love the education in this video!!

Susan Craigo: I love the lob, but have a long face and thin hair. I have a weak chin and now a sagging weak chin. A Bob or shorter would seem to bring attention to that. My hair is currently just past my shoulders, but considering cutting some length as I am growing in my natural gray and only 6 months in and hating the demarcation.

Do Tot: Me: growing out my hair. Also me: oooooo bob! Ready to cut it again

Dawn Bennett: Helps a lot! I wanted to tell you how exceptionally nice you look in today's video. ... and Thank You! I

Vicki Cobb: Very helpful video!

Claudia L. Gonzalez: What is the rule of thumb for the bangs in a bob haircut…..Also how do they layer because I have wavy abundant and thick hair… I love my hair but hairstylists tend to texturize on top of layering.. Texturizing makes my hair FRIZZY! Thanks

patricia lewandowski: I'd like you to talk about cowlicks, mainly at the back of the crown. With these styles you almost have to consider the length in order to work with the cowlick especially in the back, don't you?

Julia Nursten: Interesting as always. Thank you

Angeli Rohival: You make great videos!

Robin Timmons: Justin, I love your videos! Is it possible to have a chin length Bob with bangs? I'm 62 years young and have had bangs for years. Thanks!

Tish Lowe: Please pardon my ignorance, Justin, but would you please clarify what you mean by “neckline” when you say “longer neck and/or higher neckline” works with the lob. Is it where neck meets shoulders as in a high-necked blouse? Btw, great video!

Karen Prueher: Great video. What hairspray do you use on your clients? I'm looking for one that gives firm hold, thx

Mach Wheels: I am 5 ft with a larger bust and a small face that’s oval. Fine hair. My hair is long and wanting to Bob it ! No bangs. I don’t want to look like a small head person haaaa stiff and I don’t want to look old lol

Anne-Marie Shields: That color shirt looks great on you!

Diane Wristen: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE

Angele Johnson: What length would be good for a "loose skin" (turkey) neck?

Rebecca Spooner: So are these trendy styles for now? I get stuck in the what my fine thin hair “might” look like in a style especially the Bob then afraid it makes me look older because it’s out current trends. #thestruggle

Sharon Hickox: great info as always

Taunya Wren: Oh I like them all. I think lob & bixie is fun! Looks like you are in Mexico or Arizona getting tan, margarita?
