Who me hey guys see, i have to give y'all a little intro for this video honey, because i am feeling this hairstyle okay. So what anyways y'all? As you can tell by the title of this video, i am giving you salon style, extended, ponytail, vibes, okay, and i just wanted to show y'all how i did it. It'S basically like the same step. Somehow i did my two ponytails, but instead it's just one and we kind of like empty the edges a little bit. Y'All know i keep it very regular with my edges. I don't really do much, but this time i kind of made like some little stash. Some of the designs to it. You know they might be a little messed up, because i have to put some makeup on you know. I look ain't complete until you put your full face on okay or an outfit or whatever you feel, but yes, y'all get into this look anyway. Let me start playing around if you like how this look has already turned out, definitely go ahead and give this video a thumbs up also subscribe to the fab family. If you have not subscribed already and without further ado, let's get this video started. Okay, all right! You guys so i am starting with freshly washed hair. This was definitely a wash day for me, so you know, like i'm, always doing, i'm always wanting to try to do different styles to my hair all the time. So here i am actually going to blow dry. My hair first before actually doing the ponytail, so, as you know, for my routine, i always like to section off my hair into four sections and work one at a time and before actually going into blow dry, i am using a heat protectant. It is from design essentials, it is there um it's like a oil, not a oil. Well, it is kind of like a oil heat, protectant oil. You just kind of do like two or three drops and you're just able to like rub it all over the hair and um. Just and i like to take like my powder brush to like brush it through, just to make sure it coats each strand. And i don't want to put too much on there, because i don't want my hair to be greasy, even though i am doing a little slick ponytail, i probably could have feel more than usual. But if i'm like flattering my hair, i do like two to three pumps and go from there, but now i'm going in with my blow dryer. This is a hot tools blow dryer, with a connect like a comb, connect that i found from the hair store because it didn't actually come with one. So i went to my local hair store and i found one that was universal and i was so happy that it that it was able to fit on there. So yeah, that's what i'm using to blow dry. My hair. I have to have a blow dryer with some type of brush or comb to it. That'S the only way my hair will be able to blow dry like i can't do the whole hold the hold the blow dryer and hold a brush technique. Type thing - i don't know it just takes longer for me, but now that i got it blow dried. I am going to twist this twist that section into a two strand twist just to hold that out the way. So i can go ahead and do each section. The same way, i think i am actually going to jump to the next part because it's um, it's just me doing the same thing i didn't want to keep showing the same thing over and over again, but i did go ahead and show this section. As you see, i'm using my blow dryer just blow drying it out before i actually go in. I am using the design, essential heat, protectant oil and i'm just going to do two to three pumps. Rub it all over then go in with my powder brush and then start the blow drying process. Hopefully, i'm not talking too fast, but hopefully you're looking at it and getting the gist of the whole thing, but yeah, and then now i'm just going to two strand twist that so that can be out of the way. So i can work on this last section. All right so now that i got all of my sections blow dried. I am going to go one by one, because i do want to flat iron the roots of my hair, since i am wanting to do a slick, low, ponytail um. That would really help a lot. I feel so that's why i went ahead and went in with a blow dryer, and i didn't really show this in the video as well. I did use another heat protectant before going in with my flat iron. I used the chi thermal spray, i sprayed it all over that section. Then i used my paddle brush to detangle it and brush it through, and then here i'm just pretty much. I don't really care about the size of the part that i'm pulling out as long as it's not too big, because i am um wanting to get the hair as flat as possible. That'S why you see me kind of like going in two to three times over that same section, just to make sure i get that root pretty flat, because i wasn't um taking smaller sections like, i would normally do when i'm like regularly flat ironing my hair. This was just something i was trying to do like really quick, because i didn't really want to take that long with doing this. Ponytail hairstyle. But yes, you guys you do want to flatter your roots first, before actually going in with that slick ponytail. If you have a hot comb, you can definitely use a hot comb. I had one, but it doesn't really flatter my hair pretty good. So that's why you see me using the flat iron instead and, as you see, i'm not really pulling it all the way through. I'M just focusing it on the roots of my hair and then bringing it down, maybe halfway through the hair um strand. So when i you know, as i get to the top, i just kind of pull it down a little bit lower and lower because we are doing a low ponytail. So i want to make sure i get the hair as straight as possible. For that look, you know so. Yes, you guys that's pretty much it and i'm going to be doing that to each section. I think i am actually going to jump cut through this one as well, because it is me doing the exact same thing. I don't want to bore you guys by just showing you the same technique throughout this video, but, as you see i'm just going in with sections flat ironing it and just you know, making sure the roots is nice and straight alright. So now that i have all of my sections flat ironed from the roots now it is time to style. So now i'm just going to take down those twists. You guys um. This is not a part where i have to do like section by section. You know we're just gon na do this all together, because we are doing what a low sleep ponytail. I feel like. I said that, like a thousand times in this video but yep, now i'm just taking my powder brush to kind of detangle the hair a little bit more, make sure it's nice and sleek before we pull it down. You know all right so now, i'm just taking my small tooth comb or my rat tail comb. However, you want to call it and i'm just going to make sure i have my edges combed out because, as you saw in the beginning of this video, i did do something a little bit different with my baby hairs. You guys, you know if you've been following me for a while. You know i don't really do much with my edges. I always keep it very simple, but this time, because i am doing a salon style, look with the low ponytail. I really really wanted to. You know kind of amp it up a little bit with the edges or whatever. But now you see me going in with that murray's um, beeswax, edge control and i'm just going to focus that on the roots of my hair and a little bit on the hair. Just to make sure to have it as slick as possible, you know, even though we did really go in really, even though we did go in and flat iron the roots first, this is just an extra step to make sure their hair is nice and laid. You know, and i will be going in with um some hairspray as well. Um they've got to be free spray to make sure i have the hair like extra late as well, but not right now, but, as you see, i'm just brushing out that product to make sure it's smooth and just throughout my hair, you guys and i'm just making Sure i keep the edges out because we finish, you know, try some things so now, i'm just using my edge brush and i'm just going to go ahead and start laying down my edges um here, i'm just doing my same old same a little soupy swoop on The side, but here this is where it gets a little different. I am actually going to be - i guess swooping my edge like towards the front versus the back way. If that makes any kind of sense, if you can follow me, you notice that i do do the swooping forward motion. You know as far as my edges, but here we're just going to kind of do it the opposite direction, just to give it like a nice. Look but here i'm just kind of brushing my hair into place just trying to see what it looked like. So that's why you guys kind of see me like okay just playing around with it, but i did jump to me just actually going ahead and slicking down. My hair into that ponytail and then i'm going to go ahead and show you guys how i actually laid my baby ears, but here i'm just slicking it down making sure it's nice and straight, and i got that hard brush from like target. I can't remember the name of it but you'll see and once you go in there, it is a hard brush from target, and here i'm using two rubber bands without rubber bands, hair ties to pull my hair down into their low ponytail. The reason why i use two because i want to make sure it's nice and secure, and i don't want it to move when i do add the hair onto my hair. If that makes any kind of sense, you know all right so now with me how i was explaining at first here we are going to do my side baby, hair right here. As you see, i am swooping it forward and trying to create like a little curly type of motion, you guys, i was really struggling with this part, because i don't really do anything like this with my baby hair. So i was getting a little frustrated when trying to do this but um at one point i was just kind of like whatever and i just kind of went along with it, but, as you see, i'm just kind of keeping it nice and normal on the sides Right there, but once i get to the bottom part of my edges, i am swooping it forward versus backwards. If that makes any kind of sense, i feel like i keep saying it, but y'all know i'm horrible at explaining stuff, but hopefully i'm explaining it good enough for you guys to kind of see what i'm doing so here, i'll just kind of like okay, it looks Kind of cute, it's kind of cute or whatever. So i went ahead and did like the other things with my edges. But here i'm just going to go ahead and braid that ponytail down, because we are getting ready to add the um hair extension to the ponytail. We'Re going to glue it on and i'm not gon na, actually glue it onto my hair. If you saw my last video with the two ponytail look, we are going to be doing the same exact technique, which is adding the wrapping paper around it before actually going in with the glue. So here i'm just finishing up my baby hairs. As i explained, i'm just kind of swooping them forward versus back just to kind of give it an extra flare. You know just trying new things, y'all, don't mind me, i'm just trying to spice things up with my edges, all right. So now i'm going in with the nail nairobi foam, styling foam and i'm just going to rub that all over my hair, you got again you guys. You want to make sure your hair is slick as possible, so using the edge control using some spritz using hairspray. Even the styling foam you guys that will make your hair will be pretty much sleek with me doing this voice over this is pretty much four days after i did this hairstyle and my my hair is pretty much still slick you guys for real thrill and now I'M going in with the got to be freeze bait and i'm just going to spray that all over my hair as well, and i will go back in with a soft brush like a soft bristle brush to smooth that hairspray all around just to make sure the Hair is nice and flat, i'm all about trying to have a sleek look, and this is the best way to do it. You know you do have some other people that will go section by section to um, keep it sleek. But if you have hair that's kind of like mine, i have naturally thin hair. So it doesn't really take much for me to slip down my hair. But if you want to keep it sleek doing these steps will definitely keep that look for you. You know all right so now, i'm just going in with that wrapping um styling um paper. What i'm about to tell myself the wrapping styling paper and i'm just going to put that around my edges, so they can kind of like marinate and lay in place while we work on this ponytail all right. So now i am actually going to fold this braid in half, because i don't want it to be too long. You know i do want a long ponytail, but i don't want it to be too long. So with me folding my braid in half. It definitely gives me that you know the smaller ponytail type of vibe. You know i don't know which other way to explain it, but now we're going to go back in again with the styling wrapping paper and i'm just going to wrap this all around the braid. You know the technique, you guys if you watched the last video. This is to protect your hair from the glue. This is just to kind of cut back on breakage. You know you don't want to put too much crazy stuff on your hair, so this will definitely help with the breakage from glue like when it's time to remove the ponytail from your hair. You don't have to worry about it, ripping out your hair it'll, pretty much. Just rip off of the paper, if that makes sense - and i do go in with two layers of it, because i just want to make sure i'll keep my hair protected as possible, and i am going in with that guy to be free spray again just spraying. It all over the braid. So when i go in with that second layer of the wrapping paper, it'll kind of stick on there, you know because they got to be free spray. Once it starts to dry, it does get really sticky any type of hard hairspray once it starts to dry. It does get sticky. So when you do that, it'll definitely help that paper stick into place. Okay, so that paper a little bit of paper, that's left over. I am going to cut that off and go back in with some more of that got to be free spray, so i can wrap the rest of that paper around so it can stay in place and sometimes i do like to add a little rubber band as Well around that last end part just to make sure it stays in place and doesn't unwrap. While i'm trying to wrap the hair around that ponytail - and i know it was probably looking a little stiff, but you guys after a couple of days, it does get wiggly and you'll be able to move it and wiggle it around. You know it doesn't actually look stiff when you add the hair on there. It looks pretty normal, so don't be alarmed by that. First look so now, it's time to add the hair i am going in with some just some hair glue. I found this in my local beauty supply. I don't really know the name of it. You know at the front of the register. They always have like the little mini hair glues. I just grabbed one of those for a dollar and i'm just using that to kind of start it off. I don't put glue on the weft all the way through. I just put it on the beginning, just so it can hold into place and then i just pretty much wrap from there. You know so i made like, in the beginning part i'll put glue on the width each time i wrap around. But after that, i would just pretty much keep wrapping it keep wrapping it keep wrapping it and then, when i get to a stop point where i feel like, i need to add some more glue, i would then go ahead and add more glue onto the weft And then, after that, i would keep wrapping it around wrapping it around and do those same steps again. So now i'm just going to let you watch so you can kind of get the concept of what i'm doing with wrapping the hair around the ponytail. So all right, you guys so now that i pretty much have the hair all wrapped around the ponytail. I am going in because i got down to the last part of the weft um and i added glue on there and now i'm just adding some guy to be free spray on top of there. So it can hold into place because i did need to go in with another little extra width, because i saw that i still needed to wrap some more hair around to cover up that braid. So here i'm just um doing that part and i'm just pretty much doing the same thing, i'm going to wrap that around the braid and once i get to the top, i am going to take a little bit of the hair. That'S on the weft and i'm going to wrap it around my ponytail just so i can cover the uh ponytail holder to give it more of a natural finish. You don't want to do a hairstyle like this, and the ponytail holder is still showing. I feel like. That'S kind of weird, unless you're doing like a braided, ponytail um, then again that will look more natural, it'll, look pretty or it'll just look like your natural hair, but for something like this with straight hair, you want to make sure you cover that hair tie. So, as you see, i am wrapping some hair around it just to cover it up and i will go in with that - got to be free spray one more time and i'm going to spray that all over that piece of hair and i'm just going to wrap It around until it sticks into place. I don't really like using bobby pins. If i don't have to this is a really good technique. If you're someone like me that doesn't really want to use a bobby pin to keep the hair in place, you can definitely use some hairspray like a hard hairspray or some spritz, or something like that spray it on that piece of hair and just wrap it around. It'Ll pretty much mold that into place and it won't move at all like i said this is four days from now for me doing this voiceover to this video and my hair is pretty much still laid you guys. The piece of hair is still wrapped around the ponytail, and my hair is still slick. But yes, you guys that's pretty much it for this video. Now, i'm just going to kind of detangle that ponytail, because from me wrapping it around. It did get kind of tangled up, but i would do that probably off camera here. I am going to go ahead and rip off that paper, so we can go ahead and reveal these edges um yeah. It was just like i don't know when i took it off. I wasn't really feeling it at first, but after i did my makeup, i was really liking. The look but yep i did have to um go back in with my edge control brush to kind of fix that side over there to make it look more of a like swoopy kind of curl, look like how it did on the other side. So that's just me fixing that part of my edges, but yes, you guys that's pretty much it. I did use some hairspray to kind of spray all over my hair for the finished look, but i did that off camera. But yes, you guys, i feel like i said, but yes, you guys like 10 times in this video. This is it. This is the end of this video. I really hope you enjoyed this look if you did definitely give it a thumbs up and if you do decide to try to do this. Hairstyle definitely tag me on instagram. I would love to see you guys looks but yeah y'all. Your girl is looking like she just came from the beauty shop, okay and now i actually just came from the bathroom. So i'm all about trying to teach you guys how to be your own kitchen, beautician for just simple kind of hairstyle. I feel like this is a really simple hairstyle. It does take time, but it's worth it because it does turn out cute. So yes, you guys, that's it. Hopefully you enjoyed it again. Like i always say, i will talk to you all in my next video bye. You
