Hey, what's up welcome back to another video in this video, i'm gon na share my silk press routine with you guys, and you know i love me - a good silk press. Okay. I have a specific, routine and technique that gives me the best results every time, and this is the first time i'm straightening my hair, since it's been dyed in burgundy, so keep on watching to see all my secrets that give me these results. So the first thing that's very important to have the best results is to start with fresh, clean and moisturized hair. Okay, so i washed my hair with olaplex number four and then i did a deep conditioning treatment with olaplex number. Eight. Okay, i feel like olaplex products are just hands down the best products that you can use on your hair before you heat style, your hair. Okay, because the shampoo is like very cleansing, it gets rid of all the product buildup, but it's still moisturizing. Your hair doesn't feel crusty or dry afterwards and oh my gosh, this number eight deep conditioner girl like first, i was a bit skeptical about this product, but now that i've used it more, my hair feels so so soft literally every time i use this. My hair is just revived instantly, my curls clump together, even though my hair is color lifted and i dyed my hair several times. It still feels amazing, okay. So now this is my combo that i always use before blow drying or heat. Styling is olaflex number six. The bond smoother and olaplex number seven, the bonding oil and what i do is per section. I just take a little bit of the leave-in cream and i add a few drops of the oil and i blend it together and i apply it on my hair and this is the best combination ever. This serves as a protective and a very moisturizing layer non-sticky before i go ahead and blow dry, my hair and i'm using my dyson airwrap with the brush attachment, because this works incredibly fast and it gets my hair super straight in like three minutes. Every section takes me like three minutes to finish so yeah. That'S pretty amazing right, but this brush attachment is the only attachment that i like from the airwrap, all the other attachments. Don'T work such as the barrels you know to make curls girl that doesn't work on my hair and the round brush girl that that thing broke in my hair, so yeah for my hair type and my hair texture at least. I feel like it's not really worth it to purchase an air wrap just go with the dyson super sonic, hair dryer, and you know with a comb attachment and you're good, but i still use this attachment every once in a while, because i still get amazing results When i do this and that's very important, when you want to achieve a flawless silk press, you need to make sure that your hair is well blown out, because that is going to minimize the amount of heat that you're going to need on your hair. To make it straight, okay, so the straighter your hair can be during this blow dry process. The better okay - and i feel like the dyson products - are amazing for that, and this is how my hair looks. This is about 25 minutes later and my hair is well blown out as you can see, and it still looks like very healthy and moisturized. That'S because of the olaplex products i used earlier on my hair. That plays a role as well. You can see the shine and the oil really helped with this so yeah. This is how my hair looks blown out and i can do like amazing hairstyles on this type of hair as well. That'S what i love to do, but in this case, because i had some errands to run. I just put this in a low twisted bun to make sure that my hair stays flat while running errands, and i just let it cool off like this right and you know running errands turned into the next morning, because i had so much to do so. This is actually the next day. Usually i do this in one sitting, but because i had a child to pick up from school and i had to cook dinner blah blah blah so yeah. This is the next day and i just wore my bonnet during the night and my hair was still in an in a twisted bun. This really helps to keep my hair as straight as possible, so yeah now i can just go ahead and continue my silk press process right. So now it's time to apply my favorite heat protectant on my hair. This is the icy fantasia straightening uh heat, protecting serum and i'm gon na use this brush as well. This is actually something that i recently bought. It was super cheap, it's like a dual brush, and this is going to help me with the chase method right, because i can just grab my hair like this, and it's going to help me with straightening every single hair strand - and this is my flat iron - that I'Ve been using for years the babyliss nano titanium. I tried many flat irons on my hair and honestly. This is the only one that gets my hair bone straight okay, but i will leave a link in the description box, so yeah i'm just going to apply my heat, protectant serum section per section and i'm going to do the chase method. So that means i'm going to grab a section of hair with this brush and i'm going to chase it with my flat iron. My flat iron is set. I can't remember the temperature, but i will leave it down in the description box as well, but it's like a pretty high heat and i do about one or two passes on each section and that's enough. Okay, that really gets my hair bone straight every single time, and it will stay straight. It won't puff up as soon as i step outside, because sometimes with storing flat irons. When you go outside the minute, you straighten your hair. It gets very puffy and frizzy well with this one with this flat iron. I don't have that problem. So that's why i recommend this to all my natural girls. All my curly girls like this is the one to give you the best: silk press results and definitely with these products and this technique girl, you know, you're gon na have the perfect seal press every time. You don't need to go to the salon anymore. You can just do it at home by yourself, perfectly fine, save your coins and you will get the same results. So i really take my time. I go over each section very slowly. So that's why it took me like one hour to finish my whole head, but i'm finished now - and this is how my hair looks girl like i know you know the bounds, the shine, the volume, it's just a good silk press. This routine is just very solid and it works every time i've been doing this for years. I don't need to go to the salon anymore, because i can get the perfect result at home and you can too. DeLinda Williams: Beautiful! I love the look. I've a need for a flat iron upgrade for years. I have not used mine in so long, it was the wrong purchase choice with regrets. However, my blow dryer is the bomb, I'm just awkward in doing it myself, I used to have someone else to do it for years. My hair gets straight from simply putting in some kind of stretched state while it's drying, or if I even use my blow dryer on warm, but as soon as I'm sweating(which starts from my head), It gets puffy and shrinks easily. That's one reason why I don't waste money going to a salon since I stopped perming it. I'm looking into that brush you showed.
